Several issues. Parking lot for hotel not labeled for entrance. It was an Easter egg hunt to get to hotel checkin. Parking lot reeked of urine.

Room was smaller than what we booked.

Room was supposed to have double bed and it was single bed with cot. When we complained they said this was all they had available. And wouldn’t change room.

Toilet had a sewage smell omitting from it.

Bed gave me a rash. Mattress was filthy and not cleaned.

Staff was not rude but for sure not friendly, nice, understanding nor accommodating.

Plus was tester aunt was good.

Room was clean and food was good. Front office team was very kind. But the hotel needs a decent upgrade in their toilets and sound proofing. We had very less sleep as we could hear the a baby crying, Loud TV, people speaking in one of the rooms and also noise from the street though we were on the 7th floor.

The room was clean and well equipped. Housekeeping was excellent. The front desk staff were great. Shower was nice. A few small issues such as a rather cramped counter space in the bathroom. But really a great property. It's attached to an adjacent mall providing easy access to just about anything.

Hotel was fine, perfectly ideal for the city, and about 10 minute walk from the station.

However, on the third day, room could have been made a bit better. We had used up all the toilet roll which was not replaced, and also needed another two big towels, so had to go down and ask for it, and staff did not apologise either. When the Receptionist came up, she brought up the towels, but only one toilet paper, when I would have expected at least two. Nevertheless, we managed for the final night.

Overall, hotel was good, lovely approach to the Reception area with Christmas displays, breakfast was perfect with plenty of selection, although, choice of cereals and milk would have been even better. Room was standard, but all we needed as didn’t spend too long in there apart from sleeping anyway.

Despite folding my towels and putting them back on the towel rail, they were still replaced every day. I don’t need fresh towels every day and it’s a waste. Also the 4 USB points by the beds didn’t work. Room was very hot, thermostat and fans didn’t make any difference Other than that, everything was lovely thank you!

We stayed at Novotel Strasbourg Centre Halles for five nights and chose it mainly for its excellent location. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the Christmas markets and roughly 10 minutes to the main train station, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel is also right next to a mall, perfect if you enjoy shopping or just want quick access to stores and food options.

Our room was spacious enough for two adults and four full-sized suitcases, which we really appreciated during a longer stay. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

The only downside was the noise level at night. Even though we were on the 5th floor, we could still hear people shouting and talking loudly outside as late as 3 a.m., which made it harder to sleep on some nights.

As expected during the holiday season, the hotel is quite expensive, but if you love Christmas and the festive markets, it’s something you just have to accept.

All in all, a comfortable stay with a fantastic location—just be prepared for some late-night street noise during the busy season.

The carpet in the room was stained and filthy, the table was broken, and our room, which was the same room reservation as others in our party, was inferior to theirs. How can rooms priced the same vary so significantly? Also, I could hear the conversations of the guests in the room above and could hear when they flushed the toilet. Not even close to 4 stars.

The location was excellent, but unfortunately, my experience was affected by a persistent unpleasant smell in the bathroom. I reported the issue to reception upon check-in at 2 p.m. for my 3-night business stay. Although the staff attempted to clean the area, the odor remained, and the initial solution offered was to use a body spray to mask the smell. After repeated follow-ups, my room was finally changed—but only on the last day of my stay. Overall, this made my trip uncomfortable, and I felt the service could have been more accommodating.

very walkable to everywhere 10 mins from all the tourist areas of petit france, the cathedral and boat rides.
The beds were okay and the internet was fast enough, the only down sides is the tight and busy car park (sat afternoon) when i arrived which made it worse.
overall strasbourg was a great stop on the journey 2 nights and it was great.

In need of an update

This hotel is very tired and in need of an update. The public areas stank of incense. Beneath the pillow cases the pillows were dirty and toiletries that appear to be standard at other Novotels were not provided.

We enjoyed the close walking proximity to the very old landmarks, and enjoying convenience of the adjacent modern shopping mall. Our AC was only marginally working during mild spring weather and so the room felt stuffy. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

While I thought I was booking a hotel in a quiet area I was extremely disappointed!! It’s NOT in a quiet area. It’s adjacent to a shopping mall…. A very busy mall. We arrived on a Saturday. The hotel advertised parking. It’s not just for the hotel. It’s for the public. We had to park 1/2 mile away. Just even I though it couldn’t get any worse it did! There is a nightclub at street level below the hotel. The noise was extremely loud and we were on the 8th floor. Several dozen people were outside yelling and laughing until FIVE AM!!! We did not sleep much! The only positive from this experience was the room was very nice.

I would not recommend at all this property
We arrived at the lobby inside the hotel to do the check in, we tried to modify the reservation to leave one day early and they did not help with that they said u have to change the reservation through expedia otherwise they cant change anything ( my booking was pay at the hotel)
Having this discussion my husband turn to get the documents from the backpack and noticed the bag pack was missing.

I told them to call the police, because we were robbed right there at the reception of the hotel doing the check in.

The police arrived, we activated the apple tag and the find my iPad and we could track in real time the bag, 5 hours after the bag appeared with the documents, but no money ( we had a lot of cash in euros to pay for hotel trains etc), no iPad, no valuables. Hlwe had to go to the police station fill the report press charges etc.

In all this time while we were dealing with this, the hotel never even offer a bottle of water, not even a snack to my daughter, not a discount, they just were saying is not the hotel responsibility. We were 4 people traveling my husband my daughter and my .
mother.
I spoke to a friend who is a lawyer and told me the hotel has responsibility from the moment you enter the common areas of the hotel, and they should have an insurance to respond for this events. They will listen from my lawyers. Don’t go to Strasbourg is not as the advertise it. And this hotel the worst of my life

we were here for two days. unfortunately the lifts were not always working so we had to use the ibis lifts or the stairs. cleanliness of the room was also not as shown as the pictures. could have been better. staff were very friendly and helpful; location is great!

Novotel Strasbourg Hotel is in a great central location in downtown! The Hotel has a shopping mall directly connected to the hotel. There are many restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was €17 per adult, our child was free. The breakfast had a very good selection and the scrambled eggs were very tasty! The Hotel to include our room was spectacularly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is available on-site, it is a public park Haus, but there is an entrance specifically for hotel guests. Parking was €20 a day. Overall, the Novotel hotel was super for all of the above reasons and we would stay there again!

Amazing hotel and stay

Everything about this Novotel hotel was amazing from the staff to the location to the hotel room. The only minor issue would be for the price per room charged, they did not offer complimentary water. Instead we had to purchase it from the bar downstairs. Other than that it was truely outstanding. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it if you’re visiting the Christmas markets.

Great location for Christmas Market. Hotel still going through renovation.
Unfortunately for us the weather was heavy rains so we reduced our time there. When we return we will ask for top floor due to street noise. We could not adjust the thermostat so the room was so hot we had to open the windows. We would suggest they have more comfortable pillows! Did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

Unfortunately my trains were cancelled delayed so I arrive on the 26th instead of the 25th. When I called the hotel on the 26th they said they no longer had my room. They said they had messaged me to confirm whether I will arrive on the 26th, I never received the message. It was disappointing as they informed me there would be no refund on any or part of the booking. They were helpful in finding me alternative accommodation which was not easy as Strasourg was full on the 26th.

The hotel is in a shopping centre just over the bridge from the main centre of the town. Unfortunately there were building works going on in the hotel which we had not been informed of before arriving and woke us up at 7am which marred the stay a bit. I suspect when the work is complete it will be lovely

Modern hotel with nice location

Hotel location is nice, not far away from the city central and connected to big shopping mall. The room is clean and modern, breakfast is tasty.
Staff are friendly. We asked restaurant near the hotel and tell us based on our wish. We could enjoy the stay in Strasbourg just after the arrival. We totally enjoy the stay.
