Our hotel room was nice and clean. Staff was nice but breakfast is quite average and many times dishes were dirty. There are two hotels in the building and in our second day, some random person from the street entered many times from the second hotel side. Stole coffee, food including dishes and left. There is nothing to secure your stuff during the hotel breakfast.. Parking is quite expensive and the voucher hotel gave us for discount did not work.

Great location. Walkable to station and all shops. Staff very helpful and forgiving of my terrible attempt at French! Super kind and friendly. Room was clean and light and airy. Only gripe would be that it would be great to have a kettle in the room. Breakfast tasty and attached restaurant lovely with delicious food and great service.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel is in a great location and rooms are clean and updated. We stayed here over the holiday and had a fabulous experience. The rooms have USB outlets so if you forgot your converters you are okay. Breakfast was also good. Hotel is connected to the mall for easy access to shopping and other amenities. I recommend this place!

Hôtel is well located. Worked well for visiting the Christmas markets. Our room was very small. It was hard to move around the bed. Bed had one flat pillow on each side, one towel, and only shampoo. Not sure if this chain is pretty basic, but just know that is what you’ll get, the bare minimum.
Breakfast is good and well stocked. It does cost extra each day you go. If your expectations are properly set, and you don’t mind the grievances listed above, you’ll be fine.

The hotel is walkable to the city main area, clean and breakfast is great and has many variety. The staff weren’t that friendly! We arrived early so the rooms weren’t ready, we had to wait for the room to get ready! During that time, the washroom wasn’t accessible unless you buy something from the bar!!!
The rooms are very small as well and has no room for our bags.

While I understand that the size of rooms in Europe are small, this would be considered mini. No hot water kettle or coffee. Not even in the lobby unless you go to the restaurant. Location was probably the best thing about this hotel. Easy walk to the train station and easy walk to just about anything you want to see and the city center. I caution you about getting a room on the first floor at the end of the hall. If there’s anything going on in the restaurant/bar below, you will hear everything and won’t sleep much.

I loved that the mall was attached to this hotel as it made it easy for me to have a quick breakfast and shop while I waited for my room to be ready. The location is prime, being close to the shops and the cathedral as well. The room was pretty clean as well, however there was a strange musty scent that was noticeable. This seems to be all around Strasbourg, so I’m unsure if it’s just the water system here making that smell. Moreover, the AC in the room did not work, which was disappointing as this was a key point in making my reservation here. Oh well, I slept with the window open instead. Overall, my stay was pretty enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was delicious! Not sure I would return here though.

There's a reason why I m a regular.

It's basic but comfortable. Good working ac and simple but plentiful breakfast. Reception are all really nice. It's also bang in the heart of Strasbourg within a department store and two bus stops right outside. Tram stop is just two mins on foot.

This hotel is convenient to everything in the city- easily walkable to many areas of town.
BUT- the parking situation is terrible. There is a nearby parking but it is poorly signed , locked on weekends and nor where the hotel recommends. But once you are in you cannot move until Monday.

Perfect location. This is one tram stop from the main train station. The same trams run to the city center five minutes away. Clean. Good breakfast if you want. Helpful staff. Walking distance to a laundromat. Right on the river. Decent local restaurants in safe neighborhood.

The location is great for access to the train station and a short 10 minute walk to the center.

I wasn't expecting much from this property and overall the room was fine. The issue was that the room had absolutely no air circulating! So my option, in the middle of winter, was to either open the window so there was air circulating OR sweating all night. Fun choice.

It is budget . However most hotels/motels have at least a kettle with tea & & long life milk & some cutlery. The bed was very basic, a foam mattress on a type of slatted futon style base & was not that comfortable.
It is in a good location easy to walk to everything & in the same complex or adjacent the Le Halles shopping centre where you can get a great breakfast of pastries, sandwiches, coffee & more. There is a supermarket as well the usual suspects! It is linked to the Novetel & the lounge and bar area in the Novetel are very nice.

Check in was easy and fast. The staff were nice and pleasant.
The hotel is located in neustadt, right by the river and near many restaurants and stores. Alstadt is an easy walk of about 10 minutes, with plenty to see and do along the way.
The hotel itself is fine. The room is spacious and has a very nice tv, but the bed is not comfortable; certainly too hard for my liking. That is the only negative comment i have though.

0900 housekeeper barged in room & woke up.
Could hear her banging on doors down hall waking five more rooms up before finding a vacant room to service.

Nice, large room. Comfortable for two. Big TV but no plug nearby so bring an extension cord if you're planning on plugging in a streaming stick. Easy access to the old town, just over the bridge. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel is attached to a mall which I convenient if you need to do some quick shopping, but the mall does close on Sundays.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of August. On arrival, we were able to check in early. The receptionists were friendly and answered all our questions about things to do in the area. On our last day, we climbed up the Notre Dame Church and they ensured our room would be last to be cleaned to give us time to come back and freshen up (really nice of them).

The breakfast was nice with a few choices. The location is not right in the centre, but its very close to the centre...we found the distance to be fine. The beds were comfy and the pillows were plush.

I would stay here again.

The city centre is a short walk, as is the train station.
The only problem was people shouting outside of the hotel in the early hours of the morning. We did stay on a Friday and Saturday night .. so could of just been drunk idiots.

For the second trip running in Strasbourg (previous hotel was different) i have been treated to a hotel advertising air conditioning only to find the hotel doesn't switch it on. I was advised that the ir-room unit offers heating at this time of year. I was on the foiurth floor and it was 20 degrees outside. The room was hot and resulted in a poor nights sleep. Hotels should not be allowed to advertise air conditioning if it isn't available. Otherwise, w decvent hotel for the price, in a great location but cannot offer good marks for offering facilities that patently do not exist.

When I booked this Ibis hotel, I thought we were in for a treat, I was VERY WRONG with this assessment. This $200 USD per night hotel is a farce. You’ve heard of the saying “not enough room to swing a cat”, this describes the accommodation. I had 8-10” between the wall and the edge of the bed. Bathroom..... the toilet seat did not stay up for comfortable male urination. No amenities except a squeeze bottle of all purpose body cleanser. HVAC did not work, open the window.......street noise. I chose IBIS for luxury, at $200 for a night.....pure garbage!
I understand that the hotel facade in being renovated but it’s pure crap when it comes to my guest room. This is the worst night’s stay on our 6 week European tour The staff is nice and the breakfast was good. I will never bet $200 on IBIS ...........EVER AGAIN.

The hotel is right next to the city center island and next to a huge shopping mall, so it was a perfect location! The staff was very friendly. The only downside was they were doing renovations and it was a bit noisy in the mornings and somewhat dusty, but overall very good.

Ywo single beds are not separated.

The hotel was wonderful except one very important moment: two single beds are not separated at all as the configuration and fixed furniture in the room don't allow it. So it was basically one big bed. The reception seemed to not understand the issue having kept saying that in fact there were two single beds. After an eight hour bus trip where my mom and I were sitting together, the last thing we wanted was to sleep basically in one bed. This is a very negative feature of the hotel as all the rooms have the same plan.
The interesting part of this story was when a receptionist having listened to me about being not comfortable sleeping in one bed with my mother suggested booking another room to be comfortable. Really??

Decent hotel in an excellent area. Very close to tram station and all restaurants and bars. A close walk to the cathedral. The hotel itself was spotless with very friendly reception team, however is in need of a little tender love and care! The breakfast was good! Overall a pleasant Ibis stay!

Hotel is conveniently located near the train station with a nearby tram stop. There is a shopping mall right next door with restaurants and supermarket. Nice breakfast with a lot of choices. Only negative comment is my queen-sized bed consisted of two twin beds put together. The beds moved and separated during my sleep.

Decent location and friendly staff. The property is in ok condition. The third floor had the strongest smell of (rotting?) urine that I have EVER encountered. Our room was dorm chic, minimal and well laid out. The (advertised) AC seemed weak, but we were just dropping luggage and going out. Returning around midnight we managed to get into our room without gagging in the urea rich hall. The room was stifling so we called reception. The clerk went over the operation of the thermostat. After 15 minutes we called again and were moved to the 4th floor, which smelled fine (Yay). The AC in the new room didn't work, either. This time when I called the nice clerk he informed me \"it blows only hot air.\" I phoned Hotels.com and spoke with Christian. While I waited on hold he called the Ibis Halle and verified that there IS NO AC. I refused a $50 gift certificate. Sleep was imposed with the windows open in a very busy area where construction is everywhere. If you're not sensitive to temperature, noise, or smell this is your place.

Great city for a short break with plenty to see. It's well worth taking in the view from the top of Notre Dame. Enjoy the museum's and take in a canal tour. With plenty of cafe's, bars and restaurants the Grand Island will easily fill a weekend trip.

Due to train strike had to change plans and return to Paris one day after arriving. Had planned a four day stay. Thomas was excellent in helping get info on how to get train ticket changed so could leave day before train strike was to begin. Also no penalty to check out early. Room was clean and close to historic centre. Will be back.
