Great family stay in Strasbourg while interrailing

Hotel Kaijoo was great accommodation for a family of five on an interrailing holiday. It was really well situated for the train station and Strasbourg itself was a short walk to see all the sights. The beds were comfortable and the separate toilet and bathroom was much appreciated. Although we didn’t eat at the hotel, we enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar, and found local restaurants and patisseries to be excellent.

Location and the staff of the hotel were great. Super convenient especially when arriving with the train.
Unfortunately noise insulation is not great - the elevator was so noisy we could hear every movement it made, as well as people talking in the adjacent rooms.

Every morning we woke up, there was a layer of humudification on the windows which was strange as we were ventilating numerous times for long period.

Just a short walk from the train station and then you are right in the middle of the city. Close to plenty of restaurants, shopping, and attractions. Room was clean with plenty of space. Staff was really friendly and I appreciated the free coffee anytime. Would definitely stay again.

We had the pleasure of being greeted by Massi, who was managing the front desk when we arrived. He quickly gave us recommendations for the area and we also got to exchange some good conversation, learning about each others' background and experiences, which added a pleasant perainal touch to our stay. We appreciated the coffee and water on demand in the lobby and the room was very comfortable.

Great hotel, staff are wonderful. We had family suite 404 which kids loved the bed up stairs set up. Little balcony was nice for an evening drink too. Easy to find and in great location for exploring the city on foot.

Very convenient location, walking distance from Strasbourg train station, plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Staff was not well trained, charged us for room upon check-in but did not check that we had prepaid our rooms in full. Insufficient heating, room was cold in evening, luckily showers were hot, hotel called themselves 'eco hotel' but this did not come across clear on their website, sinks clogged. TV did not work, single burnt out lightbulb at entrance, room felt dark. Otherwise, experienced staff quickly resolved billing issues and was kind. Dining room is pleasant and breakfast buffet is delicious. Lots of potential to be a very good hotel but I would not recommend if you're looking for comfort.

I loved this property. It was quirky, but so cute, and located in a really great spot in Strasbourg. It was walkable to Petite France, but also to the Cathedral area. I wish we had booked to stay longer!

Great hotel. Fantastic location. Highly recommend the breakfast option. Public water fountain a nice touch.
One issue common to many hotels: guests and culprit included shutting room door by letting it go and BHAMMM, you wake up your neighbors at 0715. At this juncture of engineering marvel, could we move to a magnetic door without latch?

The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and appreciated. The location makes it an excellent walking hotel to all the sites in Strasbourg. The building is an older building and the walls tend to be a bit thin, this results in hearing a lot of noise from other rooms and especially hallway noise.

Great location to explore a superb city

This is a great, smaller hotel in an ideal location to explore this wonderful city. The room I had was spacious with an unusual location for the large bed - it is in the middle of the room with a headboard that acts as your desk on the other side. The bathroom was clean and a good size. The staff are friendly, multi-lingual and efficient. I very much enjoyed my stay. My only quibble is the inflated pricing of the room when the European Parliament is in session!! So annoying for us folk with no business accounts!

Nice layout for a family room that fits 8. It only has 1 bathroom and a separate toilet but no sink area outside. So you have to wait for someone to come out of the bathroom to wash your hands after using the toilet. For a big group, that is very inconvenient and gross.

On site parking was not available due to Christmas as roads into the old town area was closed. Had to park 10mins away in a public car park recommend by hotel .

For Christmas Markets, think again...

The hotel, service, location were all great. The only issue was with parking; we were there for the Christmas Markets, but couldn’t park OR EVEN DRIVE UP TO the hotel. This was a major inconvenience and additional cost.

Poor acoustic insulation, from the bedroom we could hear every single neighbours, and people in the corridor. Room service starts cleaning at 8h30 hoovering the corridor. Poor finish for furniture

Three night stay, starting on a Friday.
No air conditioning in the family room that had block out blinds.
Room only had one door onto the verandah so their was no air flow.
Kids in bunk beds with a side panel on each bed.
We tried one night- no sleep due to the heat.
Front desk said they could only give us an extra fan-totalling three fans in our room or to speak to the manager on monday. Monday we were due to check out.

All three fans were not safe to use as stands broken, and had to be lent up against wall/bench or stabilised with objects underneath.
-One had a loose wire and wouldn’t work unless you held it together.
-The cover protecting the fan blades on one fan would fall off whilst fan blades still running.

Enquired about another room -no air conditioning in all family rooms and only a three bedded air conditioned room was available, fully booked out. No refund available.

Needless to say would not recommend for families due to a lack of air conditioning/service.

Das Personal ist sehr nett, die Lage ist auch sehr praktisch (Tolle Lokale direkt in der Umgebung), aber man sieht dem Hotel sowohl von innen als auch außen das Alter an. (Vor allem im Vergleich zu den Bildern)

Nichts desto trotz hatte alles funktioniert und war grundlegend sauber. Das Balkonzimmer hat einen schönen Ausblick, welcher aber nur den Charme von Straßburg zeigt.

Es waren bereits Ohropax vorgelegt, ich empfehle auch welche mitzunehmen :)

Für den Preis (inkl. Firmenrabatt) komme ich trotzdem jedesmal wieder hin!

Emplacement proche du centre ville et le parking sur place est un vrai plus.
Personnel très agréable ( il manque peut être une personne en fin de journée lors des arrivées car elle doit gérer le bar en plus).

El hotel tiene una excelente ubicación. En Estrasburgo todo es caminable asi que en esa parte no batallamos nada. La propiedad me pareció deteriorada y sucia, los tapetes daban muy mal aspecto al cuarto, el cual me cambiaron sin refutar. El desayuno fue espectacular y las personas de front desk súper atentas. Creo que en general hace falta un poco más de mantenimiento a los cuartos, mientras que los baños si están muy limpios y adecuados.

Très bel hôtel. Nous avons adoré la chambre familiale pour 5 personnes. Le petit déjeuner buffet était copieux et délicieux. L’hôtel est très bien situé pour visiter le centre historique et près des transports en commun. Seul bémol: il y avait de la construction dans le rue juste en bas de l’hôtel ce qui nous a dérangé mais ce n’est la faute de l’hôtel et ça ne durera pas longtemps. Juste un mauvais timing pour notre séjour.

Nous avons passé un séjour de 2 nuits en famille à l’hôtel Kaijoo. Nous y avons très bien dormi, les lits étaient très confortables et air climatisé efficace (chambre famille 5 personnes)
Petits déjeuners délicieux et très variés (formule buffet). Chambre bien insonorisée sauf pour les travaux de construction dans la rue en face de l’hôtel (hors du contrôle de l’hôtel). Séjour très agréable. Merci
