I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Vendôme in Nice, and a huge part of that was thanks to Carla on reception. From the moment I arrived, she offered such a warm and genuine welcome that instantly put me at ease — something I really appreciated as a solo traveller.
Carla was supportive, approachable, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and her kindness made me feel truly looked after. It’s rare to meet someone who brings such warmth and professionalism to their role, and the hotel is very lucky to have her. She is a real asset to the team.
Because of Carla, I would happily return to Hotel Vendôme. For any future travellers: if you have the pleasure of being greeted by Carla, you’ll be in very good hands. She is a wonderful host and made my experience memorable for all the right reasons.

The rooms were all unique and the lobby and hallways were beautiful and clean. Staff was very helpful and we were very happy with our room.
Our only complaint is when we stayed on the first floor above the lobby, the door was not insulated so we heard guests and staff very late and early.

Just ok. No shampoo in bathrooms, lots of gnats flying around. Small elevator and only steps to get up the front, no ramp for luggage. Stoic staff. Stingy with the towels. Location was decent for the sites in Nice.

I was riding a motorcycle and the nice manager informed me to park my motorcycle inside the gate and it was on camera . I felt very safe at the hotel and the staff is very friendly .

This was a good hotel for family, as we were 7 in total and took three rooms. The rooms were very small - no place to open luggage on the floor - but the staff were very friendly and they have a small bar in the lobby which is very affordable. Not a bad location, as long as you do not mind being close to the beach.

Great hotel just on the outskirts if Nice Old town. It was very easy to get to from the airport as it was about a 2 minute walk from the tram station direct from the airport. The room was very large and had a large balcony facing the front of the building. The aircondituoning wored bery well and the room was very quiet considering it is on a busy road. There was water in the room which could be re-filled from a filtered tap in the reception. The only thing that wasn't great was that the balcony had cleary not been swept or cleaned in a long time with a lot of bird droppings, dust and dead weeds

Nice building, bad driveway, no uber will pick you up at front door. Elevator for one person only with luggage, this takes time when busy, room and bathroom is tiny, shower and toilet were broken, carpet is old, dirty and ripped. AC doesn't cool down room. hallway lights are always off so its hard to see. Would not recommend.

This is a very nice property. Worth the price. Fix the ventilation in the bathroom change the locks on the doors with modern locks. It is not advisable to use a key physically to turn locks. This is a fire hazard if something goes wrong and people panic. They’ll burn in the room.

A perfect base spot for our trip through the French Riviera! Friendly staff, and easy walk to the train station, Old Nice and the beach. We did laundry at the laundromat directly underneath the hotel, very convenient. Day trips were easy to Monaco, Cannes, Antibes and Villefranche-Sur-Mer.

The hotel and there staff were ok and friendly, one big dislike was the state of the bathroom there was dirt round the sink tap, bath plug control, bottom of shower door and most of all under the rim on the toilet, I did manage to wipe some off with a wet tissue, so imagine what a good bleaching would do.

Booked the room (105) with the large terrasse, large bed/ bath and shower/tea/coffee machine. Great value for money and hotel is next to the tram stop Durandy. Service was wonderful from everyone. Friendly, attentive, and they kept the baggage until later in the day. I would recommend the hotel on the service and the value for money.

This hotel has friendly staff and a comfortable, welcoming environment. I liked that it is tucked away off the street and has a beautiful lobby space for having a coffee or happy hour. There is water available by the reception and you have your choice of still or sparkling. You can take a carafe up to your room and stow it in your fridge, too. The room we had was quaint but functioned just fine for two of us. I was grateful that there was a closet for stowing shoes, smaller bags and for hanging clothes. I also appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine for having an afternoon cup after coming back from a day of exploring. The room overall had some charming details that made it feel inviting and updated. We did pay for the breakfast and enjoyed the variety of options. Lastly, the hotel is situated not too far from the shopping on Jean Médecin and is a short distance from the beach. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a short getaway.

Really enjoyed my 5 day stay at the hotel. Staff at the front desk were all very kind and caring! They also spoke English and even helped me learn some French which was nice. I enjoyed being able to rent towels and getting filtered water from the front desk area. They have a nice happy hour with cheap drinks which is fun. We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vendome. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. The front desk staff was helpful and kind. The location is within close walking distance of the Durandy tram station as well many restaurants and stores. The breakfast was good with plenty of options for everyone. Very nice hotel, perfect location. I was able to walk everywhere my entire stay, I did not use any type of transportation other than to get to and from the airport. The hotel room was really small, it was just me so I managed. I did find it weird that the lights were always off in the hallways, maybe they’re preserving electricity as it is an old building. Overall I had a good experience and I enjoyed the complementary breakfast.

Great place to land! Beautiful old building with modern amenities a few blocks from Cours Saleya, the ocean, and the tram to the airport. Plenty of food at breakfast - sliced meats, eggs, yogurt, croissants, pain au chocolat, pain au raisins, baguettes, espresso machine to make your own. Front desk there to help. Housekeeping super friendly. Highly recommend.

Other than that, loved everything about the area (10 minute walk to the old city/beach) and having 24hr concierge was amazing since we had to leave for the airport at 4:30am. Nice is incredible.

The hotel is in a great location, but it’s definitely dated. The facility as a whole smelled a bit like sewage, and the bathroom was also showing its age. It was very tight and hard to maneuver in there as well. The shower has a curtain - which is always a bit grimy and when it clings to you as you shower it’s pretty gross. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful - and the price was right (we stayed off-peak).

You can hear the noise from the early morning and through the whole day... the noise is from the hallway, either the staff cleaning or the tourist in and out.
