The worst hotel I've been.
The heating system in the room was not enough and there were no additional blankets.
Hair dryer does not heat and they dont have a spare one to lend, and dont even care.

Our stay at this hotel was truly fantastic. The location couldn’t be better—close to all the popular tourist spots, with the Christmas market just a short five-minute stroll away. What made the experience exceptional was the service. Safia and Genesia went above and beyond in every interaction. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care made us feel welcomed and well looked after from the moment we arrived. Their outstanding customer service really set this hotel apart. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here for an unforgettable and comfortable experience.

I stayed at the Ibis in STB for 5 day, at my 2nd day they told me I have to move room bc the room was scheduled for som maintenance, why you put someone in the room that is going for maintenance? They told me i have to leave the room b4 noon, but my other room was going to be ready only after 3 pm, and instead to keep me in the same level or upgrade me, they “downgrade” me, the new room was horrible, facing the garage, painting was peeling, noise, horrible. I don’t recommend.

He’s was comfortable. Only positive. Bathrooms were subpar. Tiny and couldn’t open door all the way. Water from shower got everywhere. Street area questionable but just across bridge from busy part of town.

The elevator was broken and no one helped us carry our bags, at least we were in the 2nd floor and not higher. The bed didn't have a mattress, it had a pad on top of a box spring. For us that we had a car there was no parking outside, apparently we had to reserve one at the hotel which we didn't know and the hotel is in a street where the tram passes by so we couldn't park nearby and you could hear the tram in the mornings.

The room was really nice, however, the only concern I had was about the shower. The glass door is only half way. Everytime after a shower, the washroom will be filled will water as the water spilt out during shower. The floor would get really wet and dangerous.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was in a great location for a walk through La Petite France up to the cathedral. Parking was a challenge and we had trouble with the AC working. We could leave the windows open but the street was fairly noisy with frequent trams passing. The rooms were clean and overall it was a good experience.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!The hotel is located in a very sketchy neighborhood, I did not feel safe coming in and out specially after dark. It’s hard to access by car because the tram runs in both directions in front of the hotel, which makes it noisy too.The AC does not work properly and the hot water is not constant while you are showering.Staff at the front desk is very rude and not willing to accommodate, specially Sofie (who said she was a manager just to deny when I needed management to resolve an issue, lying and being sarcastic).Customer service is non existent, it’s like they’re doing you a favor assisting you.If you are like me and like to feel like a valued customer, forget it here.The parking they claim to offer is very very tight and cars get damaged (saw someone smash a door open in the car next to it) there is not enough spots and the spaces are tiny with no room to maneuver, I decided to use a public parking garage during my stay, which was not close and I did not feel safe walking back to the hotel from there. Breakfast is below average and totally overpriced. I stayed in Ibis hotels before and it was nothing like this one, this one gives the chain a bad name. I would never stay here again and I advise you to spend your money and vacation time in a place that is worth it. I travel constantly and I do read reviews so I hope this one can help someone not to make the same mistake. Safe travels everyone!

Strasbourg happy stay!

Great location, 5 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes to Petite France. Very helpful staff, very clean and the breakfast was fine, fresh leaf tea, pastries and hot options. Rooms are compact but fine for a short stay. Very clean throughout.

Good stay at Ibis Strasbourg Center Petite France

After being a little disappointed on arrival, I started to find the hotel friendlier. It is simple, has few amenities but it works! Place is clean, bed comfortable, bathroom good too. Breakfast was great. So in the end, I enjoyed my stay there. Location is close to all the places to visit in old town, though the block where it is, is a little dingy. That's what put me off on arrival. But it is not unsafe. I didn't bring a car but there was a garage in the back which seemed very easy to use. All in all, good price for a good stay!

Fairly average room but clean and pleasant and a good location. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us locate tyre services open on a Sunday when we had a puncture. I didn't realise that 'self-parking' means no parking so I would recommend looking up where to park beforehand as it took us quite some time to find 24 hour parking and our sat nav didn't recognise all the no entry/one way streets

Christmas markets visit to Strasbourg

My daughter and myself stayed here to visit the Christmas markets and catch up with my son on his Erasmus year in Strasbourg. Great location. Very close to the railway station. Just over the bridge and we were on the Grand Ile where the markets and tourist attractions are to be found as well as the many shops and great restaurants. Great hotel. Would return here again for location and all round nice hotel.

No frills budget stay but in great location

Location: nearest tram station Faubourg National. About 10min walking distance from the main train station (Gare de Strasbourg). Short walking distance to the Old Town.

Local amenities: good boulangerie few doors down for a morning croissant and hot coffee. also has nearby halal grocery store. walking distance to Petite France and Homme de Fer with all its shops.

Room amenities: very basic simple room. a bit small but this is ibis budget. room was otherwise clean with daily room service to clean the room. No hot kettle/complimentary tea or coffee provided. If you want hot water, you have to go downstairs to the breakfast area to help yourself to the cups and the hot water. No safe provided so we locked up our valuables in our luggages. No refrigerator to keep your water cold or to keep your wine/cheese. The towels had stains on it but the sheets were clean. Wifi signal worked well. Hairdryer and combination shower gel provided. The walls are really quite thin so if you're a light sleeper, do bring along some earplugs as you can easily hear other guests walking around in their room or taking their shower.

Service: No room service where they bring stuff to your room actually provided as this is budget but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Free local map provided and we were given a free tram ticket (allows up to 2-3 travellers) that was given to the hotel staff by a previous guest. They also helped us in securing a restaurant booking.

The breakfast was a good selection and delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the help printing out my boarding card, which for some reason was causing me a problem- but the staff were so helpful it all worked out. The hotel is very near the main train station , but also near Petite France area. Was an excellent location. Also I was there during the Christmas market and was presented with a lovely bag of chocolates at check in. I am hoping my work brings me back to Strasbourg. And I will definitely try to stay at this Ibis. (I think there are 3 in Strasbourg - but I loved this petite France location)

We got to room, and the heat was on yet it was 25C outside. It was miserably hot. They said the only option was to completely shut it off, so if it was cold at night we couldn’t turn it on. The shower drain was stopped up, so water ran out into floor. The hotel was in bad need of update. The area didn’t feel safe but was walking distance to old town. The breakfast had a very limited selection. We had to boil our own eggs. We’ve stayed at many Ibis properties across Europe. This was the worst.

Small Room Near the Town Centre

We checked into the small room, which was reasonably comfortable, but for the lack of control over the heat. It was super hot and we could not cool the room down at all. To compensate, we opened the window, but there was a street car right below our window which was operating until past midnight. There are three different Ibis hotels in Strasbourg - all within walking distance, but this particular one was on a sketchy street. Maybe the other locations are better?

The hotel receptionist was very nice. The room size is decent & clean. The location is very convenient. You can walk to the Cathedral in 15 mins, petite France in 10-15 mins & the main train station in 5 mins. The hotel's street isn't very pleasant. Remember to turn right when you come out from the hotel then you will get to the better environment. Also the bed was very soft so it gave me a very bad backache. The price I paid for it that I am very happy.

EVerything about the hotel was fine apart from the noise at night coming from outside.
Every night of our three day stay, we were woken up by what seemed to be a street cleaning machine at around 4.00pm. This would continue for some time. I suspect the noise was made worse by the fact that the street was narrow and there was an echo effect.

You get what you pay for

First night started of needing new bedding as the pillows all smelt of sick.
Cleanliness of room was poor especially the bathroom. Although do not disturb signs were used the housekeeping staff tried to come in, when told to come later they didn't bother. Useful location for sight seeing but wouldn't recommend for more than a couple of nights as a crash pad.

You can hear everything!

I was initially put in room 202. It was separated from the next room by a locked door. Obviously, there used to be just one larger room, and it was later split in two. I could hear everything the people in the next room were doing and saying. They were not being noisy. Just going about their business. Talking at a normal volume. I find this totally unacceptable for a hotel. If I wanted to share a room, I would have gone to a hostel and paid a hostel price. The receptionist also seemed to have trouble finding me a room when I arrived even though she did find my booking. She said there had been an \"internal confusion\". Perhaps they usually leave 202 empty? I asked to be moved on the first night, but there were no rooms spare. I was moved on the second night to a larger room with proper walls. No complaints about this room. As for the service, it seemed disorganized. Often, when I went to reception, there was no one there. I had to wait a while before anyone came and there was no bell or anything. The cleaner also tried to barge into my room on my second day without even knocking, even though I had put up the \"do not disturb\" sign. Perhaps the cleaner had not been informed that the room was occupied due to the room change. Overall, not a great experience, but perhaps it was just bad luck? The location is good at least.

Great hotel But the tram noise !!!!!

There are a lot of great things about gthe hotel. Great location great staff, very good breakfast, good room etc BUT the noise of the trams for our room ( overlooking the street) was more than disappointing it was disastrous. The tram in one direction changed tracks and clanged the bell regularly. They started very early in the morning and went until late at night. I would reccoment the hotel but I would warn my friends etc about the trams.
