I liked the room on the 6th floor. Spacious, comfortable and loved that I could control the temperature in the room. I wish there were more English options on the TV. The breakfast was good, but one of the employees was sick and I didn’t appreciate her coughing around the food, plates, etc. on my first day. I stayed for 4 nights and didn’t see her afterwards.

Clean nice room, great location and facility. Very nice breakfast. Room service quality depends on the person cleaning of the day, somehow tucks the bedsheet in together with the blanket, so when removing blanket, bedsheet comes out too. They forget to replace towels and water, but all it takes is a phone call and all problem would be solved so no issue. The front desk is amazing. The fitness center is not really a fitness center, just a sad gloomy room with a treadmill, bike and elliptical. Overall great stay, the things mentioned above didn't affect the quality of stay. Appears to be the best hotel around strasbourg station, would recommend.

We absolutely adored this hotel. Our suite room was huge with plenty of windows overlooking the train station square. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The building had old-world European charm with modern amenities. Our bathroom was huge and clean. Our only negative observation is that the mattresses on the beds were too firm.

5 star experience at this 4 star hotel. Impeccable service, great location, beautiful hotel and reasonable prices. Large bathrooms were a plus. The only critique is that i wish the A/C was colder and/or blew harder in the room. The room was cool-ish but at night I needed colder temps. I would absolutely stay here again. You are made to feel that they've rolled out a red carpet for you at check in (felt like a VIP) and they were sure to greet you any time you returned to the hotel. A++

Very friendly staff, room ready for arrival time despite it being earlier than check in, very clean and lovely shower and jacuzzi bath in our suite. Only slight downside is there’s very little hanging room in the wardrobe but there are other hooks in the room we could use.

It’s the little things that do count. At arrival we got to check in an hour early (great) but did not feel the bathroom had been cleaned. Laundry bag with dirty towels was sitting right outside our room for 2 days with no one thinking it should be moved. After first day we had the room cleaned but staff did not think to refill toilet paper or tissue box that was already empty when we arrived. Breakfast at hotel was great but dinner at the hotel restaurant was nothing worth writing home about. Standard burger or fish and chips as the most interesting choices. Will look elsewhere if we come back one day.

The room was American-sized, big enough for a small sofa, and very quiet. There was a good buffet in the morning. There were also a couple of dining options and a bar. We walked almost everywhere, but when we did need a cab, the hotel staff was there to help in English if needed. A doorman opens the door as you come in, and as you leave, they speak good enough English that you won’t feel stranded. I would absolutely stay again, and we plan to do so next year.

One of several similar-looking hotels right across from the main train station. While the immediate blocks nearby leave a bit to be desired in terms of restaurant quality, the onsite spot was surprisingly good it is a short walk into central Strasbourg. Our room was a bit cramped and lacked some basics like coffee service or adequate shelving, but adequate for a short stay.

The real value for us was that upon arrival we had just had a suitcase stolen on the train from Colmar (keep your bags within sight folks, and use AirTags), and the front desk staff was very kind in trying determine what authorities to contact, where to shop for replacement items, and expediting our room availability. Thank you Hotel des Vosges for making a very stressful experience a bit easier to deal with

Short walk to train station made staying at this hotel an easy choice, particularly since we had an early train to Paris to catch. Always felt safe but there were street people around. Most of the trendier night life and shopping is about a 10 to 20 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was great—clean and spacious. Would certainly stay again

I recently had a disappointing experience at Hotel des Vosges that I feel compelled to share. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority.

On my first night, after a long day exploring Strasbourg, I stepped into the shower and emerged ready to unwind. However, when I reached for a towel, I was appalled to find it damp and stained with a sticky yellow bodily fluid. This was a major red flag. I immediately called the front desk, only to be told that they had no large towels available—just hand towels. I had no choice but to accept this subpar option.

After drying off, I climbed into bed, only to discover hairs and brown/red stains on the linens. Again, I reached out to the front desk. They promised extra linens and assured me that the bed would be properly cleaned the next day. It became evident that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned between guests, which was deeply unsettling.

The issues didn’t stop there. The air conditioning was either malfunctioning or nonexistent, and basic amenities like soap and paper towels were frequently not replenished.

Overall, cleanliness is paramount for me, and this experience was the dirtiest I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. I cannot recommend Hotel des Vosges based on my stay. If you value a clean and comfortable environment, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Good location for proximity to train station. Otherwise, there are probably better options for seeing the sites. Carpet in room was overdue for cleaning, but otherwise the hotel was clean. I had been looking forward to using the spa/sauna, but this costs 30€ per 30 min of use-that was a huge disappointment. In hindsight, I would have preferred to spend a little more for a hotel closer to center near nicer restaurants and neighborhood with amenities that were included.

One of the best hotels on our 3week stay. Literally across the street from main train station. Very safe and clean area. Lots of food choices in the area and walking distance to all the historical areas. Room was beautiful! They had a useable antique elevator that was so quaint! We used it all the time just for the fun of it! Had a lovely sauna area but didn’t have time to use it. Breakfast was good but area was too small for lots of people to move around loading plates with food. Our room was beautiful and bathroom had a towel warming rack!

We booked this hotel to visit the Strasbourg Christmas market and definitely were not disappointed! The hotel overlooks the main courtyard in front of the train station. It has a lot of large windows with almost a royal feel! The staff is what made this hotel stay incredible! They were very friendly and kind. The hotel itself felt grand and the rooms were large. The bathroom was even larger. The location is prime considering its locale to the main HBF train (2 minute walk). It's about a 15-minute walk to the heart of Old Town but not bad. We found a Laverie (laundromat) about an 8-minute walk away. It was clean and easy to use (1.50 euro for 6 minutes of drying -- be sure to use high heat / 10 euro for washing machine). The area around the hotel is clean and safe. It's quiet. The terrace is nice and the attached cafe is really incredible! It's a very beautiful hotel and cafe. You certainly won't be disappointed!!

Excellent location convenient for train commuters. Huge bathroom which is appreciated but clearly not an optimised use of space. Check-in starts at 4pm which is a far stretch considering check-out is expected by 11am. There was ongoing construction work throughout the day every day and despite informing the staff that the room is not soundproof, they did absolutely nothing to make up for this. Service clearly fell short of 4 stars.

PROS:
-fantastic location, literally across from train station . We did daily day trips and used train station a lot .
-average size room (prob large per European standards)
-comfortable beds and great linens, good choice of pillows
-large bathroom with amazing towel warmer, shower with strong water pressure
-overall good breakfast (was included in the price of our stay )
-kind customer service
-clean facilities

CONS:
-rooms have very limited storage space for your clothes
-BATHROOM:
Huge hazard for those with either limited mobility or simply being short .
Entrance into the bath tub is challenging (huge step up with no handles and with extremely slippery surface of the bath tub )
-for a 4 ⭐️I’m shocked to see that only 1 small bottle of shampoo is offered .
No conditioner/no body lotion /no mending kit etc
-HOUSEKEEPING:
clearly they don’t care if you put “do not disturb “ sign
I didn’t want my room made one day and yet it was ignored.
Interestingly enough only one towel was changed , trash left behind and my face cleanser disappeared.
On other days , hand towels were left behind and only large once were exchanged
-BUFFET breakfast
The same stale walnuts (for yogurt)were there and with each upcoming days fresh fruit started to disappear, nothing was re stocked .
-We asked to fix the window one day and it was never done .
-common areas bathrooms was constantly missing either toilet paper or soap.

They only had a single hand towel in room when I arrived. I asked for another but did not receive it. Next day upon returning from sightseeing found no towels at all. Finally received a hand towel and bath towel after complaining to desk. This property is very nice. We reserved a jr. suite because we travelled with my 10 year old grandson. Inez at the front desk was so helpful and nice. She upgraded us to a balcony suite and guided us to a great restaurant. The staff is very nice here. Very nice stay.
