Sweet place like a B&B

It was a quick stay with family. We only speak English and had no issues front desk was fluent and super nice and helpful. Breakfast was great to have so we didn’t have to walk out to any place. The decor was pretty loved the wall paper. A nice place to relax. Did a hop on and off tour that stops close by for easy transportation.

Do not Book (Actual hotel nothing like the images)

The actually place looks nothing like the images. Honestly don't book. Also the location listed is incorrect it is not 0.2 miles from the exhibitions its 0.8 miles. Room dusty not clean one of the worst rooms i have stayed in. Booked a double and got a twin.

I think this hotel is overpriced. We stay at another hotel in Frankfurt two weeks earlier and it was so much better and it was $100 USD cheaper. One staff member was really unfriendly and the room looked old and smaller than we thought. Overall this hotel is vastly overpriced. Breakfast was really good though and most of the staff was friendly.

Fine choice close to Messe

One night in Frankfurt

We were only in Frankfurt for one night - we were catching a flight home. The hotel was unassuming from the outside, but the interior was very nice. You did have to climb a flight of stairs to go from the street to reception. The staff was very nice on our arrival and check-in went smoothly. Our only problem was that it was hot in Frankfurt, and there was no air-conditioning in the room. They offered us a couple of fans, which helped a lot. It would have been nice to be able to have had the windows open, but with no screens on the windows we got more bugs then cool air in the evening. Since our flight wasn't until late (9PM) the next day, the staff were again very helpful with allowing us a late check-out and then holding our luggage until late that afternoon. Overall it was a nice hotel with a very nice staff - it just needed air-conditioning or cooler days. They could also use a better ice maker.

Great location, weird decor.

The hotel is a great value for the size of the room and the location. The decor is a bit weird (our room had a Balinese meets old Europe decor) but the rooms is generous in size, has a great shower and the hotel is perfectly located. Breakfast as good and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Don't stay here!!!

Awful experience from top to bottom.

Upon entering the hotel the smell was awful! Reeked of smoke and something else that I can't put my finger on.

The staff was rude. When you enter the hotel there is a flight of stairs. I carried my 2 suitcases up about 3/4th of the way before anyone offered to help. PS- the staff member watched me carry the bags too.

I should have left based on the smell and the service, but I checked in anyhow.

Here is where it gets ugly.

The room looked completely ridiculous and NOTHING like what they post on Expedia. See pics.

So we have the smell, the service, and the room.

I decide I need to suck it up and deal.

Then I get into the shower (the only attractive part of the hotel), soap up, and go to rinse. The water is hot as hell. I turn the faucet to cool it down and it gets hotter. I don't know what the Germans do to their water but it was scalding!!! I had to get out rub off the soap with a towel and called the front desk.

45 minutes of them looking in the bathroom, checking the basement, etc ... all while I'm in a robe. They inform me the earliest they can fix it is tomorrow afternoon.

I start calling around to make other arrangements.

Then they call and offer to change my room. By now I have zero trust in this hotel. Rude, misrepresented themselves online ... not a 4 star experience in my eyes.

I told them I was leaving and the service went downhill from there.

I left with no other booking. That's how bad it was!

What have Germans got against air conditioning?

First off, this really is a lovely medium to small sized hotel, set on a leafy, quiet street right near the Frankfurt \"Messe\" (Trade Fair), natural history museum, two U-bahn lines and several trolley lines. They feature a very good spread of cooked and cold breakfast entrees, cereal, fruit, scrumptious crusty, grainy breads, cereals, and excellent coffee (this is a real sticking point with me). The rooms are comfortable, clean, modern and well lit. If you like The Cozy, this hotel fits the description.

The staff is relentlessly pleasant, helpful and eager to please.

Here are my caveats, one of which is a cultural thing: there's no air conditioning nor even a ceiling fan. As a matter of fact, there were no ventilation grids in the upper walls or ceilings. The days were warm and the room stuffy.This kind of thing is an issue throughout Europe, of course, but after a while it gets pretty old for a traveling American. I did ask for and was cheerfully provided with an oscillating desk fan that made the room much more comfortable, though.

The other caveat: only one accessible electric outlet in the room, another between the bedroom and bathroom (and a shaver outlet next to the hair blower in the bathroom). I had to plug my fan into the passageway outlet and stand it on a chair facing my bed for the desired effect. The other outlet is by the night table on the right side of the bed (no outlet on the left). I could charge my phone or run my laptop but not both at once.

Good view, air condition doesn't work

This hotel seems have a bit of history, although the decoration inside the room is beautiful, it doesn't seems \"warm\", but rather \"cold\". Besides, air conditioning doesn't work, toilet seems too big with emptiness. Underground parking is a bit awk too.

However, the restaurant view is phenomenal, good service and good breakfast. Price is reasonable, worth the money.

Hotel personnel are super nice. The breakfast is excellent. The only cons were no air condition in some rooms. The location is nice, very close to conference centers. For a business trip it is perfect since you can get the subway and get anywhere you want.

This is definitely an older hotel, we stayed in two rooms and one of them didn't have air conditioning, but other than that the hotel is great. We unexpectedly had to get another room because of issues with my mom's flight, and the concierge set her up with a very classy room on the same floor (this one did have AC). Everyone was super nice, and the breakfast in the morning was great. The hotel was located within a very short walking distance of the train, and the neighborhood was nice.

La stanza nel complesso era confortevole, anche se un po' fredda. I termosifoni non erano accesi al nostro arrivo. Il bagno un po' datato, la doccia sicuramente da rivedere e anche la porta del bagno (non c'era la chiave e non rimaneva chiusa bene). La colazione non era molto abbondate e variegata, ma comunque buona. Il personale cordiale e disponibile. Comodo come appoggio per visitare la fiera, dista solamente 10 minuti a piedi.

Vi havde et godt ophold på hotellet. Dog er værelserne meget lydt, hvorfor vi vågnede flere dage af andre gæsters morgen alarmer.

Das gebuchte Zimmer war großzügig, hatte aber ein altes Mobiliar. Die Haare im Bad vom Vorgänger wurden innerhalb von zwei Tagen nicht beseitigt. Frühstücksraum war an beiden Tagen eiskalt.
