The room was very clean and the hotel was situated in a very quiet neighborhood that was in walking distance to the Old Town, as well as Messe Frankfurt.

The hotel is a bit dated, but that doesn’t take away from this being a really great option.
This is my second stay in Frankfurt, and I’d come back to this hotel again should I return.

I really enjoyed staying in the apartment at the Plamenhof. It had been hard finding accommodations with beds for 3 people Frankfurt. The hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood and convenient to public transportation. The living space of the apartment was great and spacious. But of the two double doors opening out to balconies, one was covered by a metal exterior shade that was broken in the closed position. Also, I hadn't realized that the apartment was built into the attic space of the building. While this resulted in very tall vaulted ceilings in the living area, it made for cramped space in the 2 bedrooms and bathroom with the ceiling sloping down to half a meter at the outer wall. As soon as you were in the room, you had to start watching your head. There were openings to windows or skylights, but the cramped space made it hard to include common things like dressers, closets, and even towel bars.

All great EXCEPT that the shower pressure varied from no water to the same amount you can squeeze out of an old tap. Old building they can't do much about is as a reason and excuse doesn't quite help.

Expedia listed the room as having a full kitchen. It had nothing other than an electric kettle. The elevator was broken. My wife, with a fractured back was forced to walk up 4 flights of steps into her room. After being told we booked a room with a kitchen, the manager said it wasn’t his problem. Expedia needs to address any complaint or refund. I asked got at least a bowl and some cutlery (they have a restaurant for breakfast) he said no. Not possible.

A beautiful 19th century building in a wonderful part of Frankfurt, only a few minutes walk from the Palmen Garden. The decor was a bit dated, but I suppose that is part of the charm. Bathrooms seem to have been renovated fairly recently. The staff is fantastic! Very helpful. I had a bit of trouble with the heater in my room, but that is my only complaint.

We stayed in an apartment which was perfect for a family of 5. The staff was friendly, gave suggestions for food, travel and sights around the area. The angled low ceilings in the bedroom are unique and I would think anyone over 6’2 may struggle with navigating. Breakfast was amazing and there was something for everyone.

Somehow i filtered by location and the selected dates changed so expedia caused me to reserve my hotel on the wrong date. Upon arriving at check in, the front desk staff informed me thwre are no rooms due to a fair in the area but he has an apartment nearby i can stay in if i pay him in cash.
I politely declined and alternate accommodations. We researched eventa in the area and did not find any fairs. Bad experience

Spacious rooms, very clean, good location

We stayed only for one night in Superior Double room which was very spacious and nicely furnished. The Hotel is located on a relatively busy street, but the modern windows mute most of the traffic noise. In walking distance of the botanical garden, Subway Station (U-Bahn) is just 200 meters away, popular shopping area within 10 minute walk. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is the limited parking with only 6 parking spots in front of the Hotel. They suggest using the parking garage of the Botanical garden which is several blocks and 5 min walk away with 24/7 access. The night charge is €4 and in the daytime €1 per hour. Drop off your bags and drive to the garage. I didn’t want to do so and parked in a street just around the corner where you are allowed limited parking between 7-10. I was fined €25 at 10:07.

The property is clean but a bit outdated and in need of a fresh coat of paint. We also checked with staff three times that someone was always at the desk because we had to checkout around 5:15 in order to get to our ICE train on time. We were assured someone would be there but when we arrived there was only a note saying they would be right back. We waited 15 min but had to leave to catch our train. We left a note and the keys behind the sign so only the desk staff could see it and since we pre-paid with Expedia there didn’t seem to be any issue with this. Otherwise it was a comfortable bed if that’s all you need. We were told about a breakfast but while in town we just woke up early and grabbed something in the square or by the gardens.

We got the top apartment and it was very spacious and beautiful. The only complain about it was the old and smelly water in the kettle and the spiders and webs in the corners of the room. Another major down for this property is the lack of parking spots. There are only five which you have to sign up for in advance.

Hotel is very nice, a/c was wonderful. Room at two balconies which were great to sit on. The bathroom sink however, was barely anchored to the wall which we notified the front desk about. The are a lot of slanted ceilings in both bedrooms my husband is 6’3” so was a bit of a hazard for him.

Hotel entry with lots of stairs

The good things about our stay: The room was large and comfortable, we had a balcony we could sit on, it was quiet and near many restaurants. The things we weren’t so happy with: the entry has a lot of stairs and we had a lot of luggage. There is no other way to the check in desk. No bellman and no help offered by front desk staff. Front desk staff not welcoming, did not smile. They still use large, heavy regular keys and not key cards. There was a welcome drink station with no clean glasses and they were not replenished until the morning. The safe in our room did not work and staff could not get it to work. Breakfast was mediocre at best. This hotel was not terrible but it’s better suited to people traveling lightly. We would not stay here again given the choice.

Freundliches Personal, alles sauber und die Preise sind auch perfekt. Mein Zimmer hatte einen wunderschönen Balkon; gerade im Sommer war es schön, draußen zu sitzen. Ich konnte dann noch meine Koffer an der Rezeption abstellen, bis mein Meeting fertig war. Vielen Dank, ich werde wiederkommen :)

Nice property with generous room size. We only overnighted, so we didn't have too much interaction with the staff. We chose the Palmenhof because of its convenient proximity to the Alter Oper. We were able to shop and have dinner before attending out show. Only minus was that we didn't realize we had to book the parking extra. Still, they directed us to the Palmengarten, which turned out to be an enjoyable visit before our return home.

The parking situation at this hotel is HORRIBLE - they have 4 available for the whole hotel and the streets around are all zero parking. So you have to walk to the closest parking garage at Palmgarten Park Haus which is only 4 euros but closes at midnight.

Lovely hotel in a walkable, charming area of Frankfurt. Room was a nice size for a boutique hotel. Would have appreciated nicer toiletries—-shampoo, lotion, soap— but will definitely stay here again!!

I requested a double but was given 2x single which was inconvenient. Also no parking as you have to reserve this in advance.

Stayed here on holiday.

The rooms are VERY spacious and there is plenty of lighting. The shower was very nice and has a body and hair wash included. The breakfast is DEFINITELY a must get when you book the room. It's a full breakfast offering a large selection of different foods.

The staff do speak English as do a lot of people in Germany, you just have to ask first.

The staff at this hotel were extremely pleasant and helpful during our 3 day stay in Frankfurt, Germany. The Hotel is beautiful, has unique rooms, is reasonably priced and environmentally friendly. It is in a convenient location with restaurants and a market within walking distance.
There is limited parking at the Hotel but we were able to find street parking one street over near the Botanical Garden.
We look forward to another stay here in our future!

What a stay in Frankfurt!

Great stay!!!

Upon arrival I was welcomed by a very smiling and kind lady in a stunning and bright reception area with white marble both on the floor and on the first flight of steps.

My room was on the first floor and was tidy, clean and quiet, very elegant and well furnished.

The bathroom had a very nice, comfortable and well working walk in shower.

Breakfast was very good too and also with an eye to health, infact all the food was closed and fruit was wrapped in cellophane.

Definitely a great stay!
