They charged us EUR 40 for an earlier check in which is ridiculous… the staff are untrained and very rude, did not want to see the issue with it and another EUR 45 for parking?! Also, they don’t reply to customer requests.

Our stay in this hotel from 1/1/2026 to 1/3/2026 led to a sleepless night, as the hotel staff was incapable of dealing with our noisy neighbors. There was a party going on in the room next to us and loud music and yelling kept us awake through the night. I complained at the reception multiple times, after that the noise would (maybe) briefly stop, and then start again. Ultimately I gave up realizing that the hotel does not have a proper procedure and/or staff is not properly trained to deal with the situation like this. So if having a good night's sleep in a hotel is important to you, stay away from Melia Frankfurt.

This was my first stay at this hotel.
I arrived at 1:15 PM and asked if the room was ready.
I was told that I needed to pay an additional €40 for early check-in.

I’ve stayed in hotels all my life, and this is the first time I’ve ever been asked to pay extra for arriving just two hours early.
In every other hotel, if the room is ready, they simply provide it , and if not, you wait.

It’s a pity, because everything else was very good.
Next time I stay in Frankfurt, I’ll return to the hotels I’m familiar

All in all a nice stay
However, we were disappointed by the hotel's attitude with regards to guests arriving earlier than check-in time.
Upon our early arrival, just a few hours before check-in time, we were told that our room was ready but that if we wanted to use it we would need to pay extra.
We didn't expect to have our room ready, so we wouldn't have been disappointed if we were told it wasn't. However the room was ready and it's a pity that an extra charge was requested.
We've stayed in many hotels in many countries, and we obviously don't expect to be able to access our room before check-in time, however there were many cases in which our rooms were ready before check-in time and we were offered to use them with no extra charge - just as a show of going beyond the customer's expectations.

AC was broken in the first room, we were then moved to another room after a few phone calls and the staff trying to fix it, in the next room AC was great but unfortunately the door lock was broken, The staff are very friendly, helpful, Damir is wonderful, he is very thorough, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond!! The night I was leaving though, someone by the name Mario was helping me and I found him to be very rude - he basically said ‘I printed your invoice, what more do you want when I was trying to confirm when my deposit will be refunded. Area is not central - seems ok but I wasn’t feeling very comfortable walking alone in the evening, hence made sure I’m back before dark. The hotel is a few steps away by subway. For dining, the food in the hotel was the best bet quality wise - not much around that area.

Impromptu visit to Frankfurt

After our original trip to Belfast got cancelled at the Airport; we booked alternative trip to Frankfurt on a wim !

Not sure the upgrade to the Level is worth the money anymore if I'm honest. Have stayed a numerous other locations but this felt a little 'timed' spirit drinks removed after certain time (can appreciate it) and then can have wine/beer soft drinks up til 10pm (not quickly replenished), no hot drinks available. Got the impression people abusing the nature of 'The Level' or even gaining access without staying in the upgraded rooms ? - For us just wanted to relax after long day walking with a glass of something cold ! stunning views though.

Hotel is in amazing location, under 15 mins from airport and easy 25 mins stroll to the City; old and new buildings sitting in harmony, loved our visit.

I only give 3 because I have had issues with them during Covid and during their opening in September 2021. Yet gave many chances but nothing of this hotel came out good.
I have had a very disturbing and unpolite discussion with the former manager..

Just because I complained in a very detailed review on google and luckily the temporary “manager” saw it and called for explanation, “luckily” he gave us an upgrade that’s why I’m writing this review.
Thanks to this, latest stay was fairly good. Ps : stayed there 4 times for my birthday… quite an adventure.

There are some aspects that I just couldn't stand:
1 - during my stay I spent one of the afternoons in the hotel resting, during the afternoon they came in 2 times to ask me if I wanted room service.
It makes me think that the other afternoons I was not there it is normal to enter guest rooms for no reason.
2 - on the check-in information they write that you have to present the credit card used to make the purchase, omitting that you have to pay 50€ deposit per night compulsorily with it. (Cash not accepted).
Why not write that down?
Anyway, it's been more than 24 hours since I checked out and I still haven't been reimbursed.
I don't understand where the problem is and why they have to freeze funds for me.

Despite this the hotel staff was very kind. The administrative part could be clearer on these issues.

We only stayed here overnight after a long day of traveling before picking up our rental car the next morning. We walked down the street to another hotel restaurant as it appeared others close by were closed. All in all, the check in was smooth, the room was clean and the hotel itself was in a safe part of town. Would stay there again if in the area, although the breakfast was quite expensive so we did not eat there the next morning.

The hotel did a lot well, but a few things could be done to match the standards of other international hotel brands.

What we liked
- the foyer was clean and tidy
- the breakfast was excellent as was the breakfast staff
- the room had a great view of the city
- the room was well proportioned, and airy,
- the hotel was modern
- the rooms were well sound proofed
- the hotel was walkable from the city centre
- the left luggage service which we used at the end of our trip was safe and secure

Things I felt which could have been better
- as we needed to use their bag drop / left luggage service we opted for a 'in person ' checkout. The queues were quite long for this and it took a little time to check out
- the complementary water bottle in the room was well received, but was only given on the first day of our trip
- although the hotel was perhaps aimed at business travellers, as leisure travellers we would have liked some sort of concierge service. Although the team at the front desk did try to help, and were pleasant, it was clear that providing such a service was not really in their remit
- the hotel bar was felt more like a reception than a bar to relax at the end of the day

Terrible hotel experience from start to finish. First reception staff realised I made a double booking by mistake - and then booked me in twice and told me I had to pay for both rooms. My room had a very loud fan noise running all night. The business lounge was the worst I have ever been in. The only snacks were small slices of stale cake. Everything about this hotel was cheap - apart from the room rate. It should be rated as a 3 star hotel at best.

Arrive at breakfast 5 minutes before it closes. While many tables are still occupied. And the waitress refused my order saying they are closing soon. While the breakfast finishes at 11am then began shouting at me to fallow her to the outside as I was trying to get some breakfast off the buffet she was really rude. And at this time there were still many tables occupied.
I’m still waiting on the tea I ordered. Disgusting service. First thing in the morning.

nd it to my surprise another guest had the same last name and they kept confusing me with her and not looking properly. Once I was unsatisfied for the long wait the became rude. After that the gave me one key to the room when they knew very well it was me and my fiancée so everytime one of us left the room to get ice or go to the car the other person was left in the dark and the elevator wouldn’t work unless u had a room key with u at all times. So much technology for nothing but a headache. Extremely upset w this place and the next day we ended up having to pay for parking while staying at the hotel. I think it was $44 euros on top of everything else. Beautiful hotel horrendous service.

so this is a new hotel. very nice, seems to have some growing pains. The a/c was great. room excellent. Had issues with keys, 3 times did not work correctly and had to be replaced. I needed to change a bit of currency and they were unable to help at all. Walked to Marriot next door and changed currency, no problem even though not a guest. Breakfast was excellent. requested room cleaning before 11am. They showed up at 4:30pm, and I passed

The hotel is amazing, the staff so friendly and accommodating. My room was fantastic, the club level was very nice with great views od the skyline. Highly recommended this property to anyone. Room size was good but it was a little awkward because the toilet was in a separate room than the sink, so after use the bathroom you had to walk all the way around the room just to wash your hands. The food is good but the menu is a little small because a new hotel.

Staff was really nice and accommodating but the biggest issue we had was with the cleanliness. The floors are eco-friendly and should be mopped daily but they aren't so it can get dusty fast.

Also I don't think they check the rings activobank cleaning to make sure you did a good job because there was a lot of dust (and other items) under our bed.
