hotel is old. The stairs is upset for groups tour and they are not well prepared and we never stay again.

The main hotel was fine, however there’s two buildings to this hotel. We stayed in the building across the road.

The room was okay, the carpet could have been cleaner but the bed was comfortable. Could have done with two pillows each rather than one.

What spoilt our stay was during 4 nights stay was we had no room service whatsoever. We were down to our last few sheets of toilet roll when leaving. Many will ask why didn’t I ask for extra, I am not prepared to go over the road and walk back with toilet roll or other things.

We were on the main road where the 17 tram runs very regular, been on floor one was a little noisy, however for the convenience of public transport it was vey good and could live with the noise, in summer with the windows open, could be to noisy.

Overall it was an enjoyable stay for the Christmas Markets, just wish room service would have been available, once again I should not have to ask for it.

Room was way too hot even when airconditioning on lowest setting. Was told we had to pay for extra coffee after first day even though stating three nights. Room wasn’t cleaned at all so. NO restocking of toilet paper or tissues. Was told room would only be cleaned if notified afternoon before and we were out all day. Despite paying for entire stay on arrival the full amount was put on hold on my credit card and has still not been refunded.

Good hotel from 2000s, good stay, friendly chaotic

Nice, relatively large room with balcony, quiet, good beds, good stay, zero critical observations.

Hotel is from 2000s, is in overall good condition, approaches the point where some fresh paint or light renovation could lift things from good to real good.

Staff was friendly, did not do anything wrong - in some situations, it appeared to me that people were not massively experienced or a bit insecure in their role. Like the reception lead discussions the colleagues potential mistakes or the restaurant staff trying to take every single thing from your table when it appeared you may no longer need it. But overall a good experience - just a bit more chaotic, compared to more premium houses.

Breakfast was okay, some highlights, some mediocre parts. Not bad, but not a breakfast temple. E.g. no real selection of fruits, only basics. Sliced sausages felt like basic supermarket material. Yet good quality on most other areas / decent selection. Overall okay but I would price it below 19eur in my value perception.

The room was spacious and quiet. It also included a patio. The television and air conditioning worked well. Some downsides: the carpet looked dirty and stained and a lot of bugs got in from the outside, which forced us to keep the windows closed and use the air conditioning. Previous guests must have had similar troubles because we found things like dead bugs in curtains. To be clear, all of the bugs were nucense bugs, not bugs to fear.

The nearby grocery store is convenient!

The nearby streetcar stop is very convenient! It can take you to some underground train lines in less than 10 minutes, and to the central train station in less than 15 minutes!

Very rundown and old, stained carpets, dusty windows and smelly corridors. The Ac in the room did not cool nor did the small refrigerator. Saggy mattress, very uncomfortable. The hotel needs a real revamp. We only bore this as this hotel was closest to the residence of the family we were visiting. Charged me 50 Euros for parking overnight from 2100 to 0900, that's daylight robbery. Breakfast was average, no change in the two days we stayed. The staff at the reception as well as the breakfast were very helpful. The only positives were its location, very close to the tram and S bahn station, also Taxi stand just outside the hotel entrance.

The hotel overall was very good. Nice choices at breakfast . Very clean and modern . The staff were friendly and welcoming and all spoke a little English. The location is quiet but a long way out of town and no puds or restaurants within walking distance.

Great location for Messe visitors

Stayed the first time there for an annual fare I’m always attending. Location is great, especially if your event is in hall 8 or 9. Just a short walk over a pedestrian bridge. Hotel isn’t new, but well maintained. Very friendly reception staff, had also one breakfast staff also friendly, good selection, not sure it’s worth the price though. Would normally give 5 stars, but had to deduct one because of their coffee policy. If you stay one night or five, you get four Nespresso like capsules, if you want more you need to pay 50 cent. Thats not matching their good standard and I feel unnecessary.

I loved my stay here!
The room was nice and clean, with a comfy bed.

Savvy, friendly, multilingual staff.

Good selection for breakfast, bar service at night.

Gym and sauna.

The area around the hotel is quiet.

The hotel itself is just a few steps away from a grocery store and many restaurants, and a streetcar stop that will take you to the central train station in 10 minutes (it will also take you to two underground train lines along the way).

There is almost always a taxi waiting next to the hotel, which is convenient if you're in a hurry.

There is plenty of space in the underground parking area.

I strongly recommend this hotel!

Good location for Frankfurt Messe

visited Frankfurt for an Exhibition. The hotel is approx. 15-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is nice, a good bar and restaurant. The rooms are of a good size. Bed was ok, pillows were a little flat. Room was very hot, even with Air Con on, which i think did not work. Good Shower, overall a nice hotel

Booked this hotel after our flights were cancelled. It was a 30 taxi ride which we realized later could have been done via S-bahn, but at the time the taxi was the better choice. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel and our room we're clean and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was great. There is also a grocery store about 150 m from the hotel. As much as I wish we had been able to take our flight, this hotel was everything we could have wanted.

Good hotel if you have meetings at/near Messe

It's a standard Mercure hotel in a district that is notable for two things - proximity to the Messe convention centre and the Hauptbahnhof (West). There are two buildings - the main one (where one checks in) and an overflow one across the street (which has a breakfast area, not the fitness centre). I found the rooms a bit warm (to be fair, they have been having an extended warm Autumn) and needed to run the AC all night (which meant the noise of it cycling on and off wasn't conducive to great sleep). The breakfast was the standard German selection (light on cereals, heavy on bread plus stuff to put on it).

The lobby was busy when we arrived and we did not receive accurate information on our check in, but it worked our okay in the end. The room was comfortable and clean. We liked the residential neighborhood and the easy walk to Opera Platz.

Although the hotel building is older, it has been renovated fairly recently. The hotel staff - from reception, housekeeping, and at breakfast - were friendly and professional. The price of breakfast, 10,50€, is very fair for the full buffet offered!

OK Hotel, Room was too hot!

The hotel was clean and well located to the business office. However, the room was always too hot. The Air Con unit was noisy and did not work to cool the room down at all, it just recirculated the same hot air. When I opened the window I was disturbed by the 24 hour tram service that runs right passed the hotel window. I did not get a good nights sleep for the 2 nights I stayed at this hotel.

I've stayed at this hotel many times. Food cleanliness and staff and always 1st class. I don't think I've been to a cleaner hotel. All you could want from a business hotel and within walking distance of Halle 8 & 9.

Not In The Main Building Again!

My second stay in the Mercure for business the first time I was not in the main hotel but the first building across the road which was fine. This time I was in building 3 and to be honest whilst the main building is 4 star this certainly is not. My recommendation would be ask for main building and if this is not guaranteed consider the price you are paying before booking. You get what you pay for. The Residenze parts of the hotel need a good update.

For some reason which I was not given the temperature of the room, even in January was so hot. Had to open windows fully then had no sleep due to noise of smokers outside room, trams and late party goers. Complained first night asked if I wanted a fan in the room?
Can expect if in hot climate but January in Frankfurt!

Great Overnight stay at hotel

Wow!!! I stayed there overnight on my way to Berlin for a holiday. I had had previous complaints with Mercure hotel in EastGate, South Africa. But this hotel? It exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Check-in and check out were quick and the staff were nice, helpful and competent. The room was clean and user friendly. I really got value for my money. I actually regretted not having booked with them for the other two nights I stayed in Frankfurt after my holiday in Berlin. The other hotel I booked in Frankfurt was so horrible.

Good hotel, but internet was down in one building

Overall the stay was fine - it is a decent business hotel (with a car park which was a bonus), but there was no internet access wired or wifi in the second building where I was initially given a room - the hotel has two buildings, across the road from each other. Hotel staff didn't think I was trying to connect properly and would not accept that there was a problem. Eventually they gave me a helpline number for their provider who went through many checks and eventually suggested that perhaps the internet was not working in my room / building. They told me to check connectivity in hotel reception and if that worked then the internet was not working in my room and I should ask for another one. This was confirmed and I moved room to the main building where it worked, but it was a wasted hour of my life. My 3 colleagues all had the same problem but could not move as there were no more rooms available. The hotel staff seemed to have little interest in the problem or in resolving it, unfortunately.

We have stayed at this Hotel in previous years and found it ok but this time very dissapointed
The rooms were so hot and uncomfortable, there was no aircon working and due to being on the first floor on the busy road side unable to have the windows open for air.
The towels were so small and paper thin you were left with no option but to request new each day and therefore could not save on energies. Empty shampoo and bath bottles left each time after cleaning
The breakfast at 21e per person was not good value, if you were there at 6.30am for it opening you were fine when we arrived one morning at 8am there was no bread and none to replace it!, no fresh fruit salad and other items had run out.
The hotel offered cocktails of the week but the bar staff were unable to make it?

Was very reasonably priced hotel for the area. Was not impressed by the cleanliness of the room. The toilet needed cleaning and the floor had debris on it. Also the television was malfunctioning and the staff didn't seem to care (well the person whom I spoke with). The parking is a bit outrageous especially for guest of hotel. Seeing as the parking deck is open to public. A discount incentive should be offered to guest of hotel. Also the breakfast a bit overpriced. But still was nice to have 24hr receptionist and curbside cabs available at any time.

A bit scruffy

On arrival at the nice check in lobby I was told that my room was not in the main building, or even in the second one across the street but was up a side street in another block behind another building. My building (the Residenz) was a bit old and scruffy and seemed to have little resemblance to being in a hotel at all. My room was ok but a bit small, and the double bed that I had booked had become a 3/4 size bed. The aircon was decidedly iffy and the pillow was awful. The room was clean and quiet though, although the bathroom was a bit dated.

Mercure Hotel & Residenz Frankfurt Messe

This hotel was excellent. I was staying there for 10 nights. Arrived 3 hours before the check-in time and was able to use the room 30 minutes later. Much thanks for the speedy accommodation.
The room was clean and had a balcony. Bathroom was absolutely spotless. English speaking staff was very helpful with directions and tickets assistance. The lobby restaurant has a very good choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner. I think some of the finer restaurants in NY have something to learn from the chef. :) Location was great too. Small supermarket near by and the tram stop is on the same block. Less then 10 minutes to the central train station. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed for one week in this hotel. The rooms are very clean, except for one very long hair that was dangling from the bath towel, and it wasn't mine! The towels were very thin. Not really something that you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The bathrooms were obviously just renovated. The shower had a very wide shower head which made the morning shower so relaxing and nice.
The first night we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Some of the staff was very incompetent and didn't even come back when we had an inquiry. My pasta were very dry - no sauce or butter or anything. So wouldn't recommend to dine there. But then there is quite a few nice other restaurants in walking distance.
On the website it mentioned free wifi. There was a free wifi where you had to log in every time you wanted to go online because it was an open wifi connection. The signal was very hit-and-miss. It was not constant and would cut off constantly.
Check-out time is 12pm. On the day we were due to check out we were 3 times disturbed by cleaning staff, and that even before 10am! I do understand that a large coach load of customers had just arrived, and they might have been under pressure to get the rooms ready..... but then the check in time is 3pm......

Short tram ride from train station. Expensive restaurant. Housekeeping, older females, did not keep coffee, tea, creamer or sugar substitute filled even when asked. Young female housekeeper got whatever I asked for. While we were in the room at 7 p.m., after just returning from Brussels, we heard the key card open our door. Since we couldn't see the door, I called out, \"Who is it?\", the door shut and they took off, Manager said that they would check the reader to see who entered. He never got back to me. There are 3 Mercures so be aware which one you book. This was not the one I thought I booked.

Great hotel a short taxi ride from the Messe

I was attending an exhbition a the Messe so chose this hotel.
There are two blocks over the road from each other. Breakfast is extra and expensive, so I nipped down to one of the local cafe's for breakfast just a short walk away to get food at a more reasonable price. There's a nice burger bar on the next block.
Room was fine as I would expect, the ensuite bathroom was better than my expectation and looks like this has been refurbished recently. I could not fault this hotel.

Great Mercure that seems to be recently renovated. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Bathroom was so clean it looked brand new. Mini-bar in the room with some room left for your own drinks. Tram 17 is very close in front, Westbahnhof is a 3 minute walk. Rooms are larger than average and bed was soft. Only complaint is there is no power outlet on either side of the bed for charging a phone. This is a failure in design, especially since there is electricity there for the lights and switches. Absolutely will stay again.

Pristine, comfortable and great breakfasts

Convenient for Messe, team and train stations with lots good restaurants around. Room very warm despite no heating bring in. Opened windows which helped but limited opening times because of trams and traffic outside. Recommend though. Great value. Loved swanky shower!

Great Messe Location

Right on the 17 tram transit line. Great location to the Messe. Less than a 10 minute walk. Really nice breakfast & bar. Walking distance to some cool neighborhoods and restaurants or just hop on a tram.

A good hotel near to the downtown

I spent 4 nights in the hotel. Hotel restaurant offers very limited alternatives in the menu. But, nearness to downtown helped a lot. My stay was easier because of this nearness to downtown

Very good hotel

Everything went perfectly except internet, which didn't work quite well, low speed. the room was comfortable and clean. The restorant of the hotel was very good.

Nice hotel, good for business travellers

The place is almost in the middle of Frankfurt. Close to Messe and train Station. But faraway from the Downtown and restaurants. Perfect for the ones who are traveling wita a business or for an exhibition
