The stay here was average. The room felt a little dated, but there was nothing wrong with it. I will say, I think the room ran a little warm -- it was December and I had to crack open a window because the room felt stuffy. The TV was definitely from a decade or two ago. Nice staff. Good breakfast and lobby is clean and stylish. Front desk attendant was a gem. Was gaps in communication prior to arrival, and make sure you have a phone card for late check ins! You have to call a number when you arrive to get the code so you can get the key from the key box.

The room was filthy, dust in the wardrobe, Windows have not been cleaned in month, carpet you don't want to step on, a broken picture with glass sticking out, non functioning AC and Safe and Minibar

Staff were kind, and the location was very good for easy access to transportation. However, the facility was a bit outdated, especially the air-conditioning. It does have air conditioning, but it didn't quite work well enough. I had to keep the windows open with two extra fans even when 'airconditio' was at full blast. Avoid the facility during hot weather.

Worst experience of my trip. The room was old and dirty, the carpet had stains and dust. The toilet was disgusting.
The worst part was the AC, which didn’t work, and it was 90F outside. We complained to the front desk and they told us the AC was old, and we could try other rooms. We checked 2, which were as hot as ours, so It didn’t make a difference. We saw similar complaints from last year, so I guess maintenance is not a priority to this hotel. There was a strong cigarette smell as well. I will not stay here again for sure.

I booked the hotel because it stated it has parking. When I got there the unfriendly desk man said I can't use their parking (no idea why) and that i need to park in the public garage at the station. He also didn't let me unload my bags, so I had to walk with my bags 10 back to the hotel. It states that the desk is open until 11pm and when I got back at 8:30 nobody was there, door was locked, and I had no code to get in and nobody answered the phone.
I put the no disturb sign out because I didn't want service and when I returned from my day trip the cleaner was in there anyway and move my belongings around.
The hotel smells a bit moldy and would need some updated. would not recommend this place since it doesn't reflect anything of this beautiful city.

Good little economical hotel

Cute art deco hotel. If you're looking for an affordable hotel I would recommend this one. PROS: near subway and grocery, clean, nice breakfast, quiet rooms- walls are not paper thin like a lot of European hotels, you can leave your bags at the front desk after checkout if you want to explore the rest of the day before your flight, staff was very nice.
CONS- their idea of airport transfer is calling a taxi for you. It costs €55. They will not answer the phone if you try to call before your stay. You need a passcode to get in after hours but they don't tell you that when you check in. All the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke, however, my room did not smell like smoke The mattress was pretty hard. I never like carpet in rooms because you never know how dirty it really is.
I stayed at a time of year when I didn't need heating or air conditioning, so I really can't say anything about those either way.

It was adequate. Nothing fancy. I was greeted by a guy that clearly didn't aspire to be in this line of work at this stage in his life. To be sure, I was early, so i just left my luggage there and went off, I ended up checking in much later, by a much nicer guy. Breakfast was adequate, too, coffee left much to be desired.

Carpets were hoovered but could do with a deep clean. Beds changed regularly, bins emptied every day. Towels clean and changed when needed. Plenty of loo roll. There was a kettle in the room, but nespresso coffee pods ... ? and, no tea, no sugar and no cups. Little things like wardrobe door handles need fixing.Some of the reception staff seemed grumpy, others couldnt be more helpfull. Tram and train within walking distance. Eateries, supermarket, chemist all within walking distance.

nice and friendly staff. But the hotel doesn't look as modern & fresh as in the photos. Facilities are old. Even the door was completely locked from inside the room, it still could be opened from outside with the key. A janitor broke in when I was in the room, right after check-in!
No service tag. There is a safety box in the room, but not usable.

We arrived to this hotel, check in was speedy and all started well. We left for lunch and returned to find that the AC was not working, I went to check to the front desk since no one answered the phones. They failed to notify us that the AC went down. We were assured that it was back up we waited with no change, and I was traveling with a child. We continued to wait, but anyone in their right mind would not keep a child in a hot room during a heat wave. I attempted to cancel with Expedia and the hotel before the deadline, and they failed to assist us. We left and found another hotel that was able to accommodate us. When asked why they didn't answer the phone, the clerk claimed that he was the only one and could not deal with the phones and deal with guests checking in. I was hopeful for this location, but it was a let-down, and so was Expedia in handling our unique and stressful situation.

Property is extremely dated, I felt as if I’d stepped back into the early 80’s. The walls were dirty, there were holes in the net curtains, the window blinds were bend, and to top it off there was construction right outside our window, causing the room to vibrate. The air conditioning barely functioned, but after now having read a previous recent review we were grateful for that ! There was no in room safe, and the mini bar was an empty fridge, also no coffeemaker or kettle. We were extremely disappointed in such a beautiful city. I’m still blown away how this got a 4 star rating, I’ve truthfully stayed in nicer 2 stars with more amenities …. And would hate to think of people traveling far for this, it was my mistake, but others be advised.

During the last 2 days,, the LIFT was broken and we were on the 4th floor. We were not told that it was going to be shut own. We are 75 years old. This was very dangerous for us considering our age to go up and and down four floors .... and also bring all our luggage by ourselves. Nobody was there to assist us. They did not have bellhops. WE WOULD LIKE A REFUND FOR THE LAST TWO NIGHTS OF STAY.

Do not stay here. Way overpriced and the staff was awful. We had multiple nights of no AC. It was 85 in the room and unbearable to inhabit. They told us they would fix the AC and promised a different room if it couldn’t be done. The maintenance person didn’t fix it and the hotel clerk rented out our room to someone else. When I asked another hotel clerk why this happened he said his colleague lied to us because he knew he wouldn’t be on shift when we returned to the hotel. Could not believe he was that forward in admitting his coworker deceived a guest and did not care about us losing the room. Windows didn’t open so Neither of us slept. Coffee machine was breaking on and off in the lobby.

Hoping management reads this and refunds us. The hotel failed to fulfill its end of the bargain by providing a habitable room for us

The location is convenient, close to the subway and public transportation. However, the hotel is old and poorly maintained. Housekeeping starts talking loudly early in the morning, and people slam doors all night. We couldn't sleep at all. Very disappointed.

This hotel was very clean, nice room with lots of space, lovely big window. It wasn't noisy, the breakfast was good and the staff were professional and friendly. My only criticism would be it's proximity to the city centre, it's a 10 minute tram ride away or a 20-30 minute walk.

Not a bad location, not in the center but close enough to metro station. Hotel is not new, but well done, clean and pleasant. But I have a couple troubles - like shower was not really working, had weak drops but not with a full power. Bathtub was ok but shower is a huge minus.
And the wardrobe in the room was a bit broken.
But it definitely worth the money.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel and room was very clean. I was traveling alone and felt safe in the quiet neighborhood that it’s located in safe walk to the train.

The hotel is very dated and the room accommodations reflected that. The bed was so hard that I had to sleep on top of 2 comforters! The pieces within the room were cheap and very mismatched and the fridge did not work.

I was to have a king sized bed and I’m not even sure it was a queen.

For the money it was ok for a few nights.

Hotel is ok and close to TRAM D easy to move around, but based in my experience I wouldn’t stay here again .
I arrived by noon horribly tired after traveling all night . When I mentioned I had a reservation I was shut down (not even asked by my name or so), was told “check in is at 2.30” I asked again if possible to have early check in as I was extremely tired but didn’t even get a reply, I literally crashed at their sofa…By 2 pm the same guy told me ok to check in now . I asked again why don’t have check in early (I was 100 willing to pay as my situation) and only Saify we are full. I never received the VIP amenities nor was welcome as GOLD member. When I did the check in I was given a tiny piece of paper with hotel info. No further interaction.

Even if hotel is sold out there are ways to say bad news , try to improve . I didn’t see the exceptional service.

While away from the historic district the hotel was well connected to trams and the metro. Good road access back to the airport as well. Public areas of the hotel were quite nice, our room (102) was pretty tired and could do with redecoration. It was also really dark, as you couldn't see any windows from the bed. It was quiet though and the bed comfortable with good quality bedding

The staff was excellent very friendly and readily assisted when asked.
The elevator was out of order the day we arrived meaning we had to carry luggage up to the 4th floor - now the desk attendant did assist with the bags however the elevator was then out for the entire week we were there. I just turned 70 and have asthma so this was not ideal after a day of site seeing which was every day. Also with the temperature while we were there a fan would have helped as the air conditioning was ineffective making getting a good sleep difficult.

If I have to describe this hotel in one sentence: absolutely awful staffs but hotel itself is decent for the price. I travel Europe quite often for pleasure; France, Belgium, and Netherlands mostly. Pretty much my first time in vienna. I stayed in hotels from 3-5 stars. I understand that property or amenities can be bit different from what they stated on the website but it’s always the staffs who make your experience more pleasant. This place, however, I simply don’t understand why they are in hospitality industry in the first place. Starting from my checkin, I didn’t get my VIP access when it clearly said it on my confirmation email. Hotel receptionist didn’t even want to check my email and merely insisting, “My system says nothing so I can’t.” I believe that proper way would be, they ask me to wait and they check and follow up on me later, but they just said no instead: what a way to treat their guests. A complimentary water bottle is once per stay here, most of the hotels I stayed were once per night, so I went down and asked. Hotel receptionist who were in her duty around 22h-23h couldn’t speak English very well (can be frustrating but they don’t have to speak English fluently it’s ok). She didn’t know the difference between once per night/day and once per stay. The problem here was her attitude her, surprise! Although she was wrong, the way of her tone was rather “patronizing” the guest, who would appreciate this kind of attitude? Will never come back this place.

Upon booking the pictures are very deceiving. The hotel looked nothing like the pictures advertised on arrival. Outdated, dirty furniture. Was embarrassed to bring my family here to see the condition it was in. The room was stuffy, hot, dirty, outdated, subpar, and NOT a 4-star as advertised. Absolutely disgusting. The only reason why we stayed is because we were traveling for 12 hours that day and got in closer to midnight. We had absolutely NO choice but to stay. When confronting the concierge regarding temperature of the room. They told us “housekeeping will take at look at it “. That was at 1am upon checking in. Next morning after we had fallen asleep NO ONE EVER came to look. We mentioned something AGAIN in the morning. NO ONE EVER CAME. absolutely disappointing after using our free night on this place. What a huge disappointment!! Will think twice about booking with hotels.com after that!

This hotel is nicely located in a quiet street with nearby transport options to go anywhere in the city. Didn't bring a car but looking around it seemed a fairly easy parking location also. Staff was a mix between very helpful and some that where there to do the basics. Room wifi was ok and the room itself was nice. Breakfast was average but with all I usually eat in a hotel stay. Recommended.

The property is very well located, about five hundred meters from U4 Metro line, Spittelau stop. The hotel is very well kept as concerns construction state and general design. The room was very comfortable .Service and staff very good also. Breakfast was fair and breakfast place was excellent. Great value for money w/ good transport options

The hotel was in a quiet area of the town, but had great transport connections. There were 2 U-Bahn stations within a 5 minute walk (U4 and U6), and additionally there are 3 trams that run equally as close (D, 37, 38).

The hotel itself was small, and the reception was extremely friendly and helpful. On the evening that we arrive, the lady at the front desk took about 10 minutes to go over the local map and to make recommendations and suggestions for things we could do during our weekend to make it the most rewarding trip.

The room was spacious and clean, there was a two seater sofa set off to the side that made the room feel very open.

The morning breakfast was nice with a mix of cold meats, cheese, bread, yogurt, and several types of bread. Hot items included two types of eggs, cooked bacon, and the ability to make waffles.

Vienna 4 nights stay

We had an amazing stay here. The staff is courteous, rooms and clean , and breakfast is delicious! Absolutely loved our stay with no regrets at all. The only tiniest complaint is that the pillows are too soft and flat, but that hardly matters

Very Good budget hotel

The staff is super helpful. They really differentiaite themselves. Besides that, the hotel is worth the money you pay for. The only downside was the limited options for breakfast. It is not bad, however, I have seen a little more for the same price.
To make up for it, a lot of sweets, chocolates and good coffee is free 24 hours.

Hotel is good. Parking is a problem. On booking confirmation there was nowhere mentioned that parking costs euro 15/- per day. And that too they had only 8 parking spots for 43 rooms. The receptionist never told us the price only said that space is reserved for some other guest and we were on waitlist.
Finally did get a space but were surprised on check out when we had to pay.

The staff was really great and friendly and the breakfast was good. The Hotel needs some work though - the A/C did not work and there's lots of construction happening right outside of the front of the hotel. The location is convenient to several of the streetcar lines and not far from the U-Bahn.

Nicely renovated hotel

Breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious, and the staff was extraordinarily helpful. My only complaint was the parking became a more difficult situation than hoped, although the staff did their best to mitigate the problem and did resolve it eventually.

What a gem

Definitely a four star experience. Friendly and knowledge desk help, wonderful and varied breakfast, good wifi, and comfortable temperature control. A little walk from metro, but quite doable. Would absolutely stay here again!

Overall its a good place to stay.

Nothing special, but fine for the job. Clean, tidy, pleasant helpful staff. Location is easy on trams, or 10min walk to underground station. 25mins by tram to historic centre.

Pleasantly surprised.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Close to the underground. A handy that proved to be handy. Good value for money. When i return to Vienna it will be my first choice. Fee wifi thought the signal was not so strong.
