Very private, clean, bed was comfy. Three sided fireplace and jacuzzi tub made the night. The house was nice and were able to see 3 of the 4 suites which was nice. The only thing that was different from the dozens of other B7B's or Inns we have stayed at is there is no interaction/getting to know the owners.

The Aurora Staples Inn is a fantastic B&B, one of the best. The accommodations in the St. Croix Suite is spectacular, with antique furniture, in room fireplace, huge suite space, and amazing linens and decor. We appreciate the hassle-free checkin, host greeting, and the ease of parking and location to downtown. We will stay here every time we visit Stillwater.

The owners were very nice and responsive, the house is beautiful and beautifully decorated and furnished, the other guests were very friendly, parking was easy, and you could easily walk downtown. If they can fix the mattress issue, they would get a 5 star rating from us.

This establishment is situated in an old restored home. It still has the original wooden floors, doors and fixtures. Internet access was very simple and worked perfectly. Location of this house is within walking distance of Main Street, home to many restaurants and antique shops. A walkable linear path over the lift bridge.

Aurora Staples was very quaint, with beautifully preserved Victorian architecture. It was clean and quiet, and within walking distance to restaurants and shops downtown. Rachelle was a wonderful and accommodating hostess. My husband and I would definitely stay there again.

There is no staff at this location. You let yourself in with a code. You had to go to the Lowell Inn for breakfast. No ice or wine glasses available. Our room had jetted tub but no shower. This is advertised as a bed and breakfast but since there were no host in my mind should not be advertised as such.

The carriage house was very spacious with a lovely tub and shower. The bed was very comfy. We never met the owners. That part felt kind of impersonal. They were out of ice (per text) and there was no water supplied in our room like there was in the house. Otherwise, the room had most of what we needed.

We booked the St Croix Suite to celebrate a milestone birthday with mom/adult daughter. The room was lovely with a seating area and fireplace, so we settled in before walking to a nearby restaurant for dinner. It was dark, but we felt safe.
A good hill climb, and more time relaxing. We didn't use the hot tub, but it is big enough for two.
The bed was a King, and very comfortable. You do not feel movement of the other person, and we slept great.

The property is quaint and rustic. Very close to downtown and very walkable to all things. If you are coming from out of town and Uber-ed from the airport as we did, there are little options to assist with luggage. They did ultimately let us check in early which was helpful. However, if you assume you can drop your bags prior to check in, that is not an option. It states BnB but the breakfast is at another hotel a few blocks away and you have to make reservations 24 hours in advance. Also, the check in check out is all done on your own. Feels more like a shared air bnb than a BnB. Nothing wrong with this but it’s not as transparent online.

Exceeded our expectations! The photos do not do justice! After staying here, I could never go back to a traditional hotel. We didn’t want to leave our room! The views, the character, and cozy atmosphere were out of this world. The complimentary breakfast was at a separate location, but was the cherry on top of an amazing stay! This is our second stay here with my daughter as a mom-daughter overnight. The inn is pleasant and the location is great. The room was too hot, which made it difficult to sleep at times. The St. Croix suite was lovely. Would stay there again. I do miss the morning breakfast as the breakfast at the nearby restaurant was lacking.

In a quiet, neighborhood this stately old home was a pleasure to stay at. From our bedroom and our little second floor sunroom, we had a view over the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. A parking lot next to the house made it easy to get off the street and bring bags into the house. We loved it.

This property is so charming and beautiful. It looks exactly like the pictures. The location is perfect. It's close to the main street in Stillwater. They made me the most amazing vegan breakfasts. She asked me on check in if I had any dietary restrictions and I was just planning on not having breakfast but when I mentioned I was vegan, she accommodated it on the spot and with delicious food. We could not have been happier with our stay.

We loved the carriage room. It was perfect for a pandemic get away. Had a private entrance, personal parking spot, whirlpool tub, shower, fireplace, TV, Lounge area, breakfast table, & mini fridge.There were board games supplied which were perfect entertainment for all our nights in. Bathroom was clean & well stocked with shampoos, soaps, and a hair dryer. Host welcomed us with a complimentary glass of wine & beer upon arrival. She provided huge homemade breakfasts & clean towels served to our door every morning.
Surrounding area has plenty of things to do, see, eat, & shop. We enjoyed walks along the river. Favorite Main Street restaurants: Leo’s Malt Shop, Annie’s Fudge shop, & Osaka’s.
