Place was wonderful very well. Kept only complain that I have is that there wasn’t hardly any water pressure in the shower nor hot water very disappointing when it came to showers and there was no iron in the room and the ironing board was flimsy and kept falling down on my husband.

Upon entering our assigned room, we were immediately confronted with a deeply unsettling situation: the carpet contained multiple stains, some of which appeared to be blood, with certain marks looking disturbingly fresh. This discovery raised significant concerns regarding hygiene and guest safety standards. We promptly reported this matter to the front desk during our stay, requesting a thorough and immediate deep cleaning of the affected area. The presence of such a blatant disregard for cleanliness in a guest room is unacceptable and completely compromised our sense of comfort and well-being throughout our visit.

This past weekend (April 10 to 11th) we stayed here for dance competition. Knowing that check in wasnt till after 3:30pm we were in no rush to get down there. Its was 5:30pm when we got parked and headed to the lobby. Much to our surprise the lobby was busy with a long line and only one lady behind the counter. Waited in said line to check in and was told rooms werent ready this was at 5:45pm. Look i understand there were multiple events going on.. But truly there is no excuse for having no rooms ready. We were told it would be a 15 mins TOPS wait and she took my phone number to call when the room was ready, even though i said wed be seated right by the front desk waiting. 15 mins goes by... then 30 mins... now 40... after 45 mins i politely asked the lady how much longer she assured me we were next. But we werent, i watched another family come in check in and get keys without having to wait for a room to be ready. (Mind you i had booked and paid march 29th) It had been an hour before the guy asked if wed been taken care of. Finally got into the room, that was haphazardly cleaned. Ants in the bathroom, no outlets that worked, floors dirty and an ac unit that was broken. Had there had been another hotel available i would of left and gone there. Only good points were the free breakfast; Kim our server that morning, she was very sweet also the pool was clean. The fact i had to pay a 3rd party to park in a destroyed parking lot is insane especially after paying 300 a night.

The place feels outdated, and charging for parking is frustrating. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming either. I also noticed the front desk staff speaking rudely to a member of the cleaning team, which was disappointing to see—everyone deserves to be treated with respect. I used to admire DoubleTree, but after this experience, I won’t be staying there again.

The only complaint I have is that you have to pay for parking. As far as I can tell, there is no security provided, the parking lot is an open one in what appears to be a suburban environment with no other businesses close by. I have trouble understanding why payment for parking would be required. It's not like they have to prevent non-guests from parking there or as if they provide security for your car.

The room wasnt very clean. Had to lay a towel down in the shower, didn’t want my feet to touch any part of their floors. Kept slippers on at all times. Me and my kids had to swim with socks on our feet because in the pool area the paint is peeling up off the floor. Stayed for four nights and it was cringe. Definitely wouldn’t rate it a 4 star, preferably more like a 2 star and at the discounted Expedia price of $115 a night it still was not worth it. Will never revisit.

Fire alarm system went off at midnight and continued to go off randomly for about an hour and half. I am understanding that these things can happen but no explanation was given and no offering to compensate for the disruption. Will be staying away from Hilton properties in the future. I don't expect perfection but the right thing to do was to make a good will gesture to the guests for the incovenience.

Staff on duty was not present at the front desk to let people know what was going on or direct people where to go or when it was ok to go back to our rooms when the emergency alarm went off. The alarm kept occurring repeatedly during sleeping hours and we could not get any rest due to the disturbance that we later found out was just a false emergency alarm.

We had to leave because the people in the adjoining room (not our party) were smoking weed throughout the night, and it permeated our room. We were told that we would get a refund for both nights of our reservation. I'm not sure if this is going to happen as we have been talking to both the front desk of the property and Expedia. It is unclear whether we will get credit for both nights as we didn't stay even the first night.

Not what I expect from a Doubletree… Old hotel with a facelift… pool was down… outlets are so old you can’t use, paint peeling, ants, unknown splatter pattern of black tar?; batteries dead in the remote and the hotel didn’t have any to replace it… this hotel is not downtown… why are we paying for parking?!? The website photographer definitely deserves a raise

We were a little mislead about breakfast which is fine since we found the best place in St Paul to eat.
The beds were a little to hard for my likings so for 5 nights I got very little sleep and survived.
Next rime I will make sure I go to Drury.

Lack of good English tea bags. Sullen housekeeper who brought some to room. The check in receptionist was a redeeming feature, warm, welcoming & kind. There appeared to be some rather unsavory characters lurking around entrance that really put me off. drinking & smoking. Also the room temperature was freezing, no response altering temperature & so loud I could not sleep despite my head under the pillow very uncomfortable!. I would not stay there agIan, not a good experience. Supposed to be handicapped room, but no bars near toilet & I struggled to get off seat, only one safety bar at one end of shower, not at all a good handicap bathroom!

Renee at the front desk is amazing! Helpful, accommodating and informative! She helped us out when there was a small situation with not having the room we reserved because they were so booked and she was able to reserve our room on the same floor as our family who was traveling with us. The gentleman at the front desk was also very kind and friendly but we didn’t catch his name. The staff in the restaurant, for breakfast, were also very friendly and accommodating, as well. Very sweet employees were on staff during our long weekend. The rooms were clean and stocked for our stay, the bed comfortable and had a full size couch/pull out bed. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 10 mile radius (which is a small hiccup because the airport and Mall of America are a few miles outside of that). We used the shuttle 2 different days to take us to the music festival we were there for and both gentlemen were very kind, friendly and safe drivers. The kids reported the pool was on the small side but not many are there specifically for the pool, so it’s a nice bonus to even have one and a hot tub. Despite the hotel being full, it was still quiet and our sleep was never disrupted. We stay at Double Tree Hiltons a lot when we travel and we were pleased with this one, too. Thank you again, Renee!!

The staff was pleasant when we arrived however unknowing to us when we booked a room there is a $13 a day parking cost, this is not the Ritz but a travelers and workers hotel. Room was clean etc.. . we were late and went to the restaurant and the food was mediocre at best but costly and the drinks were more that the food by alot. FYI the restaurant / bar close at 9pm. When we returned from work our room was not cleaned. For what was paid, service was less than expected.
