On a positive the Night Shift guy was awesome. He made check-in clean, easy and great. Now for the not so positive. Went into the bathroom and there is black mold coming through the wallpaper everywhere. It’s nasty. It’s nothing I wanna be around and I expect more for what I pay. Also the bathroom exhaust fan did not work so the entire bedroom and bathroom were excessively humid after showering. They definitely need to do some massive repairs to that location.

Parking a challenge. Appeared to be shared with other establishments.
Ralph
Loved the breakfast choices and they give me an upgrade to s jaccuzi room wich was wonderful..

It was okay

Breakfast was supposed to be open at 7am… staff didn’t show so no breakfast at 7am… no option to rent a movie on the television but you also couldn’t hook up a laptop with HDMI to play a movie. Little to no hot water for a shower… in the pictures there is a picture of a hot tub. However, no hot tub only a pool.

This hotel turned out to be an excellent choice for a short trip to the Minneapolis-St Paul area. It was conveniently located for all the places we needed to go. (Essentially a quiet area, but very close to both Rt 52 and I-494. It was also walking distances to 4 or 5 decent places to eat, and we went to 2 nice parks that were within a 10 - 15 minute drive. (Including the Swing Bridge Park, at the site of an old Rail/Car bridge crossing the Mississippi from 1895 - 2010.)
We had a nice 2 night stay there.

Nice location, nice staff, nice breakfast
Kimberly
The staff at this hotel, from front desk, breakfast room, and housekeeping, are a breath of fresh air. Top notch! Shout out to Kendall at the front desk for going above and beyond. The level of customer service at this location is hard to find these days. While the hotel itself is somewhat dated, everything was clean and comfortable. I’d totally recommend to anyone traveling in the South St. Paul area!
Barry
Always a friendly, safe, clean, and comfortable environment. The woman who works breakfast on weekends gets a huge shoutout for overseeing the best hotel breakfast in the area! Highly recommend.

Front desk staff was very personable and went out of their way to check us in and greeted us each time we were coming and going. We stayed three nights and the breakfasts main items changed each day. Breakfast staff were cheerful and exceptionally helpful.

I was there on April 11th, Saturday. At night it was about 9:30–10:00 pm. My room was on the ground floor. I heard guests from us stairs running and it was loud my ceiling was shaking i couldn’t sleep.
I called front desk, and explained to him. He said he would go check it out. Then i hear the noise again it was worse i got scared i thought people upstairs were mad that u complained.
I then call the gentleman at the front desk again and told him i am from room 201.. he was like
“ okkk how can i help you with absolutely cranky and annoyed mood”!!!
and was asking him were people upstairs mad at me because the noise got worse. And I told him i couldn’t sleep because ir was loud.
The hotel staff responded “there is no one running up there”
I said: “i heard it i have video record” and would you come in here and listen to it”?
Hotel staff; No..!! and then said what do you want me to do?? this is hotel people will run amd people will walk..!!
i then asked him what if you do if you were me he said; i would put the fan on..!!!!!!!! so i wouldn’t hear the noise from upstairs!!!
(i was in shocked..!! the way he responsed i was there alone and i am woman i didn’t feel safe overall)
I m just a bit surprised IHG hires this staff.
I truly believe and trust this brand IHG. But from that experience I dont knownwhat to expect anymore.

LaRae
Great location by mulitple restaurants. Bed was comfortable.
Tressa
The breakfast had a wide of variety which mean a white omelette, regular omelettes, sausage, turkey, and pork. They had multiple different types of cereals they had melt. They had yogurt they had cut up fruits. They had pancakes, waffles, multiple different things and options as well as multiple drink options the host in the dining room was so kind and gracious.
Nicole
Ok nothing special. We need to go get linens for the pull out couch at the front desk. None were in the room and they would not bring them to the room. The thermostat also said it was 48 degrees in our room when we 1st got there so we turned it up and had to go out of it because it was so cold in the room. Not ideal.
Courtney
Friendly front desk staff
Barry
Very good breakfast, staff were friendly and efficient. Suite was comfortable with noise infiltration from pool below. Heat was very difficult to balance. One are was too hot, the other was too cold.
Annegret
Great room, great staff, great breakfast!

Clean room, very spacious and friendly staff! Only thing that I didn’t like as much was the elevator. Overall, solid 4/5!!!
Alicia
The person that takes care of breakfast was very very good at their job. No food trays were emptied before he refilled them. He was happy to greet people as they entered and made sure to tell everyone leaving to have a good day! A huge part of the great experience we had here!
James
Staff was nice
Karin
We would stay here again
Alexander
The room was clean, the staff was very friendly.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn was disappointing due to the condition of the pool. The water appeared dirty and cloudy, and the surrounding area was not properly maintained. For guest safety and comfort, I strongly recommend that management improve cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Stacey
The room was updated but the bathroom and hallways look like they are still from the 90’s. The elevator also stopped working and my son got stuck in there for over 5 minutes.
Pamela
Staci the breakfast man is great. Sounds weird but reason we stayed there. A coworker recommended it as other places we stayed at not as good. Only thing i didnt like is they updated their system and couldnt get a receipt and staff confused how to work the new update
Sheryl
Park was quiet and secure. Breakfast was good.
Wendy
too much traffic from the restaurant across the way! Stacie from the dining room was amazing as always! He makes having breakfast enjoyable with awesome smile and amazing attitude towards everyone who works in! Our room was clean and everything was in working order and the staff is truly awesome! I will definitely be back!
Lowell
Everything great.
Lori
Friendly and accommodating
We were in town for a men’s state softball tournament and this hotel was perfect for our team. Kids loved the pool and service was great. We needed to check in early and they were very accommodating in getting us in as soon as possible.

We'll stay here again
Very comfortable beds, excellence breakfast, friendly staff, and clean rooms.
Carolyn
Delicious breakfast with great service

Breakfast attendant highlight
Decent sized pool - always appreciate not having to turn so many times when swimming laps.
The highlight of this hotel is (always has been- have stayed here multiple times) the breakfast attendant- he stays on top of everything which is a great amount of choices - he asks how it is, will even remove your plates if your sitting conversing when done. This man deserves a raise!!

I liked that the dining was walking distances. It was a drive for us from where we were but it was a beautiful area and other then the pool being under maintenance our stay was great. Breakfast was nice. We took a few things to snack on with us. Coffee was fresh. Everyone was very polite and welcoming.
Janice
Comfy beds. Polite and professional staff. Good breakfast.
Ligia
Excellent!
Gary
Staff very friendly at check in. The lady watching over the breakfast area was wonderful. Kept everything clean, replenished items as they were depleted and had a very friendly demeanor. Helped make a good start to the day. Have stayed here before and will stay here again.
Wayne
Could use a little more attention towards cleaning the rooms and overall hotel.
Jon
Very run down hotel.
This hotel is way past its prime. Probably the worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. Bathroom fan was broken. Air conditioner made rattling sounds all night long. Toilet was only a foot off of the floor. The elevator was not constructed to accommodate a cart. Shower was great. Breakfast was fantastic , but I would not stay here again.
Susan
bathroom room dirty..paper thin walls..overwhelming smell of cigars and smoke....pounding on doors and fighting in halls during middle of the night.
Lorena
I asked for a rolling bed and front desk said they didn't have any, website says they're available but I guess not. However I was able to do late check out, that was awesome.
Leslie
We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel and staff were amazing. Breakfast was also really good.
Lisa
Pictures shown on Expedia don't match the actual location. Expected a kitchenette type setup and tgere wasnt one. And the desk area needs a light.
Walter
It was a good stay! Nice to be able to walk out to restaurants and a movie theater

Excellent staff
Excellent service from front desk in a very complicated hours. The lady and security helped me in a personal matter extremely professional and fast. Very much appreciated.
Jordan
They didn't have a hot tub like you guys said. Update your site. Its inexcusable
Ana
Good romm
Brian
Nice clean place. Staff was nice.
Loey
Not impressed
Needs a lot of updating. Elevator floor is ripping up in places and dirty. Carpet is old and dirty. Beds were comfy. Tried to call down to let them know the toilet wasn’t draining properly but got put on hold twice (he was the only one on duty and was checking in people), so finally went down and was handed a plunger. We fixed it.
Samantha
Not for Business professional
Came to town for a business trip, and decided to try a new hotel compared to last year, I won't be back. This is more of a family-based hotel compared to for professionals. Children were running around the hotel screaming at 5 am, bed was uncomfortable. The worst part yet was that I was placed by Laundry and Hospitality and I could hear the screaming pipes from above as well as loud staff and washing machines. Made for an exhausting work trip with restless sleep.
Terri
Staffing extremely polite, very clean
Lydia
Beds were reasonably comfortable, breakfast was excellent, room was clean, water pressure in shower was great. No housekeeping while we were there and had to request towels be replaced (and nowhere to hang to reuse or hang bathing suits). Hand soap was somewhat inconvenient for a child to use, placement was too high near sink. Pool was closed for service on our last night/morning which was disappointing for children, also water in pool was rather chilly. Aside from those minor issues stay was great.
Richard
Very nice location. Everyone was very friendly
Hotel was very clean
Hotel was very clean

Check in was super easy. Christine make my stay more pleasant she was super nice and got my room quickly that way we can get ready for the concert.
Heidi
We were there for one night following a concert. The hotel front desk and breakfast staff were polite & lovely. However, the hotel itself was very humid and there was a concerning vent directly above the breakfast area that had debris. See attached photo.
John
Very nice stay and good breakfast
John
Great stay! Will definitely stay here everyone
EDWARD
The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The big problem was the air conditioning unit which would switch off after a few minutes. Eventually, after an hour the room was cool enough to sleep but only when the outside temperature was the same as what we needed. The maintenance person was slow and couldn’t help. The front desk only told us that the hotel was full so there weee no other rooms. No one even said Sorry until checkout. Clearly it’s time to change AC units.
Sharon
We came in late and left early. The front desk person was very nice. Check in was quick. Hotel quiet. Very good continental breakfast with plenty of options.

Great!!!
Alyssa
We had an amazing time. Wonderful service by staff.
Davis
Very peaceful
Jennifer
We got in the room and went to check the beds and one of the pillows had a little scorpion spider crawling on it! I was horrified and ready to leave right then and there but my friend convinced me to stay and she slept in that bed while I slept in the bed that didn’t have any spiders. Then the toilet kept having issues flushing, even when it was only urine! At 4:30 AM I was woke up by the sound of a big truck or heavy equipment backing up in the parking lot…loud beep beep beep and banging noise. I won’t be back to this hotel.
Cathy
Close to restaurants, a theater complex, and a large plant nursery.
Room was fine, bed and pillows were great.
Breakfast area and food were very nice.
Drawbacks- Fox News was on in the lobby. That was insulting. Why not the weather channel, or even sports? Also, soundproofing was not good.
But, mostly it’s a thumbs up.

Muy limpio y personal muy amables
Paul
Breakfast was good. Simple but excellent. The gentleman Stacy who was working was very polite and keep everything picked up and wiped down.
Andrew
Clean room, pool overrun with monsters
Hotel rooms/facilities were very clean and comfortable. However, the pool was constantly filled with screaming children. We were here for a sword fighting tournament, and we need to be able to soak in the pool afterwards to relax our aching muscles. Screaming children make relaxation impossible, so please keep them elsewhere. Also, a hot tub is needed for said purposes.
Dustin Shane
Close to our family.
Jason
The staff was super nice and professional!
Faith
This facility has easy access off Highway 52, the staff are pleasant and professional, rooms were big and clean. Walking distance to two decent restaurants. I'd definitely stay here again.
Ryan
The property is nice. The breakfast guy is always a highlight of staying here. He is a ray of sunshine!
Richard
Rebecca was extremely helpful sorting out my booking mistake. Thanks
