Make sure to read breakfast menu before hand before purchasing before stay, some interesting choices that may not be for everyone! The hotel was beautiful, staff was most helpful and kind. Especially the gentleman assisting with transporting the luggage from door to room! Beautiful views of the Mississippi River from the room we stayed in. Valet parking is a nice option but more expensive for larger vehicles which is unfortunate, ended up parking a block away in a garage due to this. Otherwise, a great experience, very nice hotel.

Carpeting in the room was stained and dirty. It was mid April and there was no heat the first two days. They had the air turned on in because it was an old building. They could only have air or heat, not one or the other so they offered to bring a space heater to our room and finally on the last day of it being in the 40s, they switched the building back to heat. The rooms are very outdated for the price.

There was no bar in the room as far as I could tell. Front desk staff was very friendly. I did the valet parking, so yes, it was easy and they were quick getting my car when I checked out. Very pleasant stay. The bed was really comfortable. The room was nice and quiet.

The room was very used and unmaintained. The beds were broken down and leaning towards the edge. There were cracks in the walls that were poorly repaired. The wall was crumbling around the windows. The lights kept flickering in the bathroom. The tub was pealing and when taking a shower it did not drain; the water filled to the top of the tub. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom was half falling apart and ready to break off. The beds were very broken down and leaning towards the edge; I think if we would have stayed the night we could have rolled out of the bed. We checked out after two hours of being there.
The hallways were very dark and narrow and the elevators were very slow.

Overall the property is very unmaintained and beaten down. I felt like I was at a cheap motel. Way over priced for what it really is.
I think the valet parking is a way to fool guests into thinking it's a luxurious hotel but once you get to your room you find out it's basically a run down motel.

Our AC was not working and after asking the front desk, we were told a technician would be by while we’re out and about. We came back to the hotel at night to nothing being changed and sleeping in hot room back to back nights

The valet drop-off and the check-in process were nearly effortless. Their process should be the standard for all hotels. The staff was friendly and so efficient. The room was so close to the elevator. The beds were comfortable. The valet process at checkout was also fast. My only critique is to install better signage on the outside of the building to direct visitors to the entrance, as the valet garage doors can be confusing for first-time visitors. We went to a concert at Grand Casino Area which was an easy walk along the river. I will definitely stay her again.

Upon arriving at the hotel it was a surprise to find there was no self parking available, no parking garage. Valet parking was the only available on site parking. Very confusing at first so driving around in busy traffic and rainfall with a busy pull up to hotel. I did not see any information about the lack of a parking garage in the hotel information to create awareness. Once in the process valet assistance was great.
Our check in was smooth but arriving in our room we found a room so small in the corner of the floor we were assigned to.
Our biggest issue was the inability to change the room temperature. There was a thermostat control on the wall but it attempting to change the temperature was useless. We left for the evening and came back late so we did not feel we could call front desk for maintenance assistance. Some people may not mind sleeping with temperatures in the mid 70 degrees, but sleep was almost impossible for us who like to sleep cooler. Made for a miserable night.

Room was not a 4 star at all. Room was not the cleanest. Paint and scratches in the doors and walls. Linen on the bed was poorly assembled. The only nice part about the hotel is the lobby. Rooms are extremely small. Was in the cityview side and were literally was just at the back of the building. Upon arrival the outside of the building is not appealing, there’s busted windows and the hotel looks under construction. Was not worth $125 a night and will never stay again. Oh and actually I did not stay…after asking for another room and it being in the same condition as the first, I just left the hotel all together 20 minutes after check in.

Both sets of bedding in the rooms were dirty. One of the comforters had a large area of spotty brown stains. We requested that the bedding be changed and they said they would do so. We left for our event and when we came back later that night, the bedding was not changed.

I’ll start with saying that the staff was exceptional and kind and friendly. The room that I was originally assigned was 75° and rising. I spoke with the staff and I was moved down the hall to a room that was slightly cooler and remained mostly cool throughout the evening, but was extremely warm the next morning.

We could write a book!
But to make this short, the room was extremely hot the first night. Maintenance came in and turned off the thermostat at 12:00AM after we just couldn’t stand it anymore. We finally got some sleep before out 5AM wake up for our event. The room was freezing cold the next two nights and no way to get any heat now. Following a stolen iPhone charger, and a request for clean towels that never came!

I was unable to stay. When checking my Hotels.com account, my reservation had disappeared. I then called the hotel, and was informed they did not have a reservation booked for me. Then, I received a charge for the reservation I was not able to use. I immediately called the hotel, which magically found my reservation. I do not know who messed this up, but I want a refund!!

The thermostat in our room did not work and it has been snowing. Engineers came 3 times to try to fix it. They gave us a space heater.
The light in the bathroom kept flickering even though i asked for it to be fixed.
Not a terrible hotel but we had these issues.

Room was fine. Service fine. Our complaint was with access to convenience items in the building. Attended a weeknight concert. Got back to hotel after 10 pm. No vending, no self access to bottled water, soda, snacks. No mini market with snacks, beverages or toiletries. FYI, 'after hours coffee shop' translates to the desk agent grabbing bottled water and NOTHING else from coffee shop. My advice, bring your own, because that's convenient when traveling, right?

The staff was very nice and the hotel was clean...however for a dog friendly hotel there was NO area for them to go to the bathroom and we were on the 15th floor. Our heat was stuck at 83/84 degrees. We had someone come up and look at it and was told that is how it will be because its all one heating unit...he opened the bottom of the windows but it was miserable. There was also mold in the closet. It was definitely a shame because its a beautiful place and like I said the staff was very nice...just a few things that are overlooked.

Room was freezing when we entered and even after increasing the temperature, it still felt cold. The blackout curtains do not close and were tangled up. We requested maintenance to come up to fix this and we don’t even think they came up to fix this and now it is too late in the night to have it adjusted. Now we have NO privacy during the night and other people can see into our room. Also, after showering, the fire alarm randomly went off due to the steam, which was frightening. We will not stay here again.

The initial room they put me in the AC didn’t work. They sent a lovely maintenance man. The problem was something he couldn’t fix quickly. However they did move us to another room and the AC worked and all was well. No complaints honestly. Staff was very personable and accommodating. Only reason I might not stay again is there was no continental breakfast.

Checked in…bathroom had absolutely no handsoap…asked a staff member twice…ended up grabbing handsoap from bath and body when at the mall…shower curtain was super dirty, rooms are pretty tiny. It was a decent quick walk to the xcel/grand casino but thats about it. Parking is expensive with little options especially if in a pickup truck (we were).

Over priced everything. Rooms are extremely small for the price you pay to stay. Says free parking, there is no free parking. You either pay to park on the street or you pay for valet. No breakfast, you buy from their pricey restaurant or dine elsewhere. Phone in the room didn’t work. The tv worked when it wanted it to. The bathroom lights flickered if left on for more than a few minutes. No microwave, and the fridge did not get cold. It was sooo hot in the room even with turning the AC way down. Bathroom didn’t have ventilation. After every shower the whole room turned into a sauna. The staff were friendly and did the best with what they had. It’s conveniently close to venues which was the reason for booking but nothing else about the stay is convenient.
