Just make sure you plan ahead for where to park. I was used to hotels having parking lots, and they do not. Either you do valet or park in a neighboring ramp. Otherwise it was just fine

Easy check-in and check-out (prepared). Staff were very nice and helpful. We went for a one night stay on 4th of of July. The coffee shop was closed by the time we got there, but they provided free water w/cups at the front desk area.
Room was nice and clean. There is a restaurant on-site but we didn't go in there.

I wish there was a vending machine area or better signage about getting bottles of water from the Front Desk. I only found out later on the little slip included with the key card and we were on our way to check out.

Overall great one-night stay for the Saints baseball game.

Great location and clean room. My only complaint was the air conditioning could not be turned down low enough. I hate having a warm and stuffy room so I wanted to lower the AC to 65 degrees for sleeping at night and was unable to do so. The AC system did not allow me to override the preset which seemed to be 75 degrees.

Convenient location to see a show and reasonably priced for the area. Vallet parking is extra but worth it. The vallet staff were very friendly, quick, and organized. Check in was very friendly. The room had a couple outlets that didn't work, but clean and comfortable. Hotel resteraunt was solid and able to accommodate food allergies. The bar stayed open late with a really friendly bartender. Would definitely stay again

Had to listen to a constant beeping feom the fire alarm that was covered in plastic to muffled the sound, but the problem is it didn't! Lights weren't working in the room and barely any water pressure to take a shower. And coming into the hotel in the evening had to make it past all of the hookers working the hotel, seriously! Find a different hotel to stay at, so disappointing!

The ambience when you walk in was beautiful. Our stay was very clean and we had nice views from our room. Loved everything about this hotel. The only con is the valet is a tad pricey. There’s a parking garage a little walk away which wasn’t too terrible but would’ve preferred easier parking.

1. The room had trash on the floor. 2. The window sills, chairs, cabinets, chairs, and other furniture pieces had dust on them. 3. The room had a faulty fire alarm or a battery which needed replacement. The fire alarm beeped the entire night. It was impossible to sleep and rest during the night. 4. I called the front between 9pm and 10 pm. Nobody was available to take my call. 5. The room had no small refrigerator which is standard even in small motels 6. The hotel does not have parking. 7. The hotel does not provide any breakfast. It is not included in the price of stay.

It was not disclosed nor does Expedia disclose that there is a $40 a night parking charge for your vehicle. There is so much construction going on in the area, I would avoid this area altogether for at least a year, 6/2026 weeks were there. All the roads were completely torn up and it was a big mess. We did not stay in the hotel because we were not told of the vehicle parking fee. And only valet parking was available. You could not park your own vehicle. Furthermore, we rented a vehicle therefore we could not allow them to drive our vehicle so we went to another hotel which was actually cheaper. I would avoid this hotel although. However, it seemed as if it would’ve been a great place to stay.

Stayed at InterContinental Downtown St. Paul. Initially the stay was good. We noticed water damage above the headboard and reported it, and were told we would be upgraded. When I returned, the upgraded room was significantly smaller with a very small bathroom and bed room/walk way area and felt like a downgrade. Because of this, we were forced to return to the original damaged room, which defeated the purpose and was uncomfortable. We were charged upon arrival a $200 damage deposit aswell....

At checkout I explained this respectfully, but the manager was awkward and dismissive with no real resolution offered. The valet service also did not meet expectations. While the property itself has potential, the handling of the room issue and overall service fell short. I believe a refund or compensation is appropriate since we were never provided a true upgrade or proper resolution.

We had many small issues with the hotel: We booked an accessible river view room and upon checking in were informed that because we have a pet, we had to stay on the 3rd or 4th floor. There were apparently no river view rooms on those floors, and the staff insisted that we were getting the same room type we booked, which may have technically been true, but didn’t account for the view (higher price). When we went into that room, the bathtub had dirt and sand ALL over it. I went to the front desk to ask if they could clean it or switch our room. They switched us and upgraded the room, which was really nice of them. I appreciated that. The new room was still dirty here and there. There were stained spots on the bed sheets/pillows and the towels were threadbare. I don’t think I would choose to stay here again. The room we ended up in was very nice and had a good view, and that made up for the issues this time, but I wouldn’t want to risk having all these issues again a second time.

Great location, great views, easy access to transportation. 5 minute walk to Amtrak train to Chicago or bus to airport. Kid had fun renting a scooter to ride around downtown and the river park right in front. Took the 54 bus for a 35 minute direct trip to the mall of América. Don't stay at the mall of América hotels with parking lot views when you can easily access a nice city hotel like this using public transport.

Especially the gentleman assisting with transporting the luggage from door to room! Beautiful views of the Mississippi River from the room we stayed in. Valet parking is a nice option but more expensive for larger vehicles which is unfortunate, ended up parking a block away in a garage due to this. Otherwise, a great experience, very nice hotel.

Carpeting in the room was stained and dirty. It was mid April and there was no heat the first two days. They had the air turned on in because it was an old building. They could only have air or heat, not one or the other so they offered to bring a space heater to our room and finally on the last day of it being in the 40s, they switched the building back to heat. The rooms are very outdated for the price.

The room was very used and unmaintained. The beds were broken down and leaning towards the edge. There were cracks in the walls that were poorly repaired. The wall was crumbling around the windows. The lights kept flickering in the bathroom. The tub was pealing and when taking a shower it did not drain; the water filled to the top of the tub. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom was half falling apart and ready to break off. The beds were very broken down and leaning towards the edge; I think if we would have stayed the night we could have rolled out of the bed. We checked out after two hours of being there.
The hallways were very dark and narrow and the elevators were very slow.

Overall the property is very unmaintained and beaten down. I felt like I was at a cheap motel. Way over priced for what it really is.
I think the valet parking is a way to fool guests into thinking it's a luxurious hotel but once you get to your room you find out it's basically a run down motel.

The valet drop-off and the check-in process were nearly effortless. Their process should be the standard for all hotels. The staff was friendly and so efficient. The room was so close to the elevator. The beds were comfortable. The valet process at checkout was also fast. My only critique is to install better signage on the outside of the building to direct visitors to the entrance, as the valet garage doors can be confusing for first-time visitors. We went to a concert at Grand Casino Area which was an easy walk along the river. I will definitely stay her again.

Upon arriving at the hotel it was a surprise to find there was no self parking available, no parking garage. Valet parking was the only available on site parking. Very confusing at first so driving around in busy traffic and rainfall with a busy pull up to hotel. I did not see any information about the lack of a parking garage in the hotel information to create awareness. Once in the process valet assistance was great.
Our check in was smooth but arriving in our room we found a room so small in the corner of the floor we were assigned to.
Our biggest issue was the inability to change the room temperature. There was a thermostat control on the wall but it attempting to change the temperature was useless. We left for the evening and came back late so we did not feel we could call front desk for maintenance assistance. Some people may not mind sleeping with temperatures in the mid 70 degrees, but sleep was almost impossible for us who like to sleep cooler. Made for a miserable night.

Rooms are extremely small. Was in the cityview side and were literally was just at the back of the building. Upon arrival the outside of the building is not appealing, there’s busted windows and the hotel looks under construction. Was not worth $125 a night and will never stay again.
