The place was disgustingly filthy. Soiled bedding, bugs, worn out furniture. Front desk changed my room several times, none were even remotely acceptable so I didn't stay there and had to book at another hotel.

There was nothing inherently wrong with the property, but it was not very well-maintained. I was only told after checking in that it was a third-floor walk-up because the elevator was broken. Once I got to the room, I realized it did not have the refrigerator mentioned in the listing, the continental breakfast consisted of either Frosted Flakes or Cheerios, and the wall next to it blasted music until exactly midnight each night. None of these issues was particularly damning on its own, but they are reflected in the overall lower score.

Sheets had white stuff stuck to sheets, so had to use my own blanket on top of the bed. The heater didn't warm the room until about 3am, freezing system, at checkin someone was shouting the f word so loud from their room I heard swearing the whole time during checkin, very ghetto. Do not recommend to anyone!

Hotel staff were amazing, very helpful, supportive. Very kind people. The entrance was very nice, I love the tiles, marble looking walls. The hallway to the second floor had a strong cigarette smell, it was a turn off. Nevertheless, the next day I left my room the smell was somewhat gone. (Very good house keeping crew).
The area was lowkey & nice. Close to so many food places/ Walmart/ gas stations.

I overall will give this place a 7/10. I do plan on booking again in the future.

Internet was okay, once you figured how how to get into it. The breakfast was meager to say the least. This place is under new management and they are remodeling so it surprised me to see that they were actually open. The shower had an unexpected apparatus which this local girl didn't recognize at all. Water pressure was low and king bed was SUPER firm which was a challenge. I think if one went back there in about 6 mos you'd be pleasantly surprised. As for now, 4/26 give them time to worrk on the pLACE. Thanks

The woman who checked me in while not rude was not the friendliness. The hallways were dirty and needed to be vacuumed. The carpet in the room was stained but was clean. This was a smoking room yet there was no ashtray and previous guests left burn marks on the furniture. Television did not work as did one lamp. Overall not a good stay.

This truly was my worse stay at a hotel, the smell is one of the most horrendous things my nose has ever come across. The bathroom is like a crime scene the room deserves an Oscar for depicting where the world ends. I got onto the second floor and part of it looked like an abandoned building, I was genuinely waiting for people to jump out and attack of sewer rats or snakes in the vents. I don’t know how this place is operational. If it was $20 a night it’d still be too expensive. Also there’s red stuff all over the carpets is that blood? Yeah please save your money 💰

The room was completely disgusting, it was very unpleasant and unsanitary, electric outlets did not work safely and almost melted my charge block. The tub was unsafe and nasty. The building itself had a lot of sketchy people and the whole floor smelt like drugs. It is not a safe environment for families. It was a major waste of time and money.

The staff was extremely friendly but The room itself was dirty. My young child was bit by bed bugs and I found one small bed bug crawling on the floor. I have since left and requested a refund for the remaining two nights.

when first walking in, there was something all over the hall and a overwhelming smell of smoke, when we got to the room, the overhead lights didn't work, the lamps weren't working and there was stains all over the carpet noticeable just from the light in the hall, after getting employee assistance to get some light, we found cigarette burns and cuts in the sheets, stains on the walls, dirt everywhere and the only working outlet not used by a lamp or AC was in the bathroom.

The room was nice and the staff is awesome every time I'm there however I think I threw my teeth away and he would not let me look in his dumpster because he didn't want garbage all they have to be there because there not with me.they are going to be expensive and I can't afford anymore the just let me go at work so that's a bunmer

Large stains and patches in multple spots around the carpet. Burn marks/holes in the sheets. The only available outlet is by the bathroom sink. TV didn't work. Elevator and hallways all smelled like cigarette smoke at all times. Staff were nice but I won't make the mistake of booking this hotel again.

Only person was allowed in my room is the cleaning person, someone else beside my companion. Some of my items was stolen. I report it to the front desk. I received no comments from them as i exit out. Pair of blue jean pant and Nike socks. God bless ya'll.

First off, the staff was friendly and efficient. Though I prepaid, there was a mandatory $100 deposit. Ok. But then the room itself was in poor condition, with holes in the carpet, scraped paint in tub, rusty fixtures, no place to hang coats. Shabby, but not dirty. You get what you pay for. Interactions with apparent addicts in parking lot and dining area. Not a place to which we will return.

Only one bath towel and no bathmat were provided with the room. Another day, I had to ask for additional towels and they were provided upon request at evening. Hair shampoo was not good made my hair dry and frizzy. Room service was provided. I stayed two days, room service person came on request on checkout day. Trash was not removed. The room contained no carpet and floors that were both cold and not very clean. I did not feel comfortable in this room. Door does not lock properly, felt unsafe. Fridge, lamp and switched was not working, they repaired upon request. No amenties was available, eg. hair dryer, hanger, iron, couch. It just was not nice and the breakfast was extremely disappointing. I didn’t even eat it. Not worth.

There are standing pools of water. There is mold in the room and the guy was in absolute route to Us. Prior to leaving after we made a complaint to Expedia terrible experience from start to finish guy. Does not want to refund us money? If something doesn't happen soon. A lawsuit will be handled for everyone health. Hazard, we are sick today. Things are not good. That stay was absolutely unbearable, and unhealthy. For anyone I do not wish this upon my worst nightmare get in contact with us. Immediately, and get this resolved like a business. Should you guys are laying back in the weeds and now we are homesick from work because of this. Great bed, room seemed pre-lived-in.

Efficient greeting staff, super-comfy bed. The only downside was a dirty bathroom counter that had something crusted and gross right in the centre (we had to chip it off, and then scrub it ourself), and the bad had 4 or 5 various hairs and whiskers on it with a rather wrinkled bed sheet.

Room was clean but really needs an update. walls are tearing, outlets caved in so i was unable to plug in my chargers. carpet to ripped it alot of parts, looked dirty.
Bed was comfortable but pillows definitely need to be changed out, along with the sheets and blankets since they had holes in them.
No bugs but the smell of cigarettes fills the halls, i didnt know this hotel has smoking rooms so that was disappointing to know those still existed.
Bathroom had the most problems, the toilet wouldn't flush without alot effort, the tube was ripped apart, shower curtain doesnt look like it was ever changed. wouldn't be possible to take a bath because water came out the faucet lightly so it would take to long and the drain open. But hey they got really hot water so thats a plus for showers.

And never had a issue but the new person went all out of her way to tell me oh you can't stay more then 3 days I asked why no problem before?? Only 1 shower towel and 1 key for 2 people. We had to eat cereal with a fork and shared a community gallon of milk. There was basically bread, spoiled bananas, cold cereal, oatmeal, and a gallon of milk for breakfast. There were fruit flies by the bananas and even had a fruit fly trap. Looked like piss stains in 3 corners of the 1 elevator. We tried to go to breakfast and the cleaning staff wouldn't let us on the elevator. We had to walk down the stairs after 2 attempts of the elevator. The bed is super hard and the sheets aren't any better. Glad i brought my own pillow. The staff doesn't wear any name tags. I understand that the rooms are cheap but totally not worth it. Go somewhere else!!!

The area is not bad but the hotel is poorly maintained - there are Renovations going on and we were told our room was recently renovated however the tv in the room did not work and was not a smart TV. Only one towel was provided to both of us and when we asked for towels we were told we had to go pick them up downstairs because there was no staff to bring them to us. The bathroom was very dirty with hair and dirt in corners and a vent right by the shower had spider webs. The elevator barely works (we were told

I'm pretty used to like Holiday Inn suites but this room was also prob $100 less. Issues:
Elevator was disgusting with dried fluids on walls.
Rooms have plastic plank flooring.
Sink didn't drain in bathroom.
There were two usable outlets in the room, one of which we had to move the bed to get to. The outlets barley had enough tension to hold the plug in the wall.
It was deffinately good enough to check in at 1am and out at 9am like we did and for $90 bucks, it was hard to argue.

Dirty room, no fridge or microwave, no ice bucket or cups, breakfast was constant of expired jelly, cereal, bread and oatmeal packets and mini doughnuts. Both microwaves in breakfast area were not working properly.
Bathroom had only one towel, bathtub had no drain and the gasser was coming out of the wall.

Safety hazard, rude staff, stinky property!!!!

First of all the lady at the front desk on the night shift was rude and tried to make us remove our service dog from the property. The outlets in our room had such low power flow that we were unable to keep a charge on our cellular devices. The hallway stunk of feces and rotten sewage. Late at night we started to feel water droplets falling on us. The ceiling had a large amount of water leaking through it. The carpet was soaked and there were electronics (tv, air conditioner,ECT) right underneath the leak. We complained to front desk about this safety hazard and were told there was nothing they could do. Also refused to switch our room for us. No refund???? Ridiculous! I could see if we were at fault for wanting to cancel but to be forced to pay for a death trap is crazy. I work hard for my money and I don't appreciate the fact that I basically threw my money away last night. It will be a long time before I use hotels.com again and it will be never that I stay at Key Inn!!!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was always someone behind the front desk and house keeping was very friendly and available to assist me with any request. The maintenance workers were very responsive and knowledgeable and the customer service was exceptional. I was always met with a smile and never felt like my needs were unimportant. All of my requests weather it was about my room or parking or payment options were always met in a professional way. I would recommend that anyone that is needing a quality retreat for a great price to stay here at the newly renovated Key Inn of Roseville.

Give it a chance!

A week before our stay I called about getting a rollaway, and was told that I have to ask the day of. The day of comes, and I can call about how late check in is and ask about a rollaway and am told they’ve never had those. So we were short one space for a kiddo to sleep but the front desk gal was super nice and moved us to a bit bigger room, and extra blankets to let her set up a sleeping pad on the floor. The breakfast offerings were meh at best but it could be seen as better than nothing. It was kind of dirty and unfurnished in there-a little decorating and better wipe downs would make a huge difference. I was impressed with the overall air of modern touches and updates in a building that seems a bit older. The price was great, I got it cheaper than walk-in. If I only needed just sleeping accommodations again I would consider this hotel again!

This hotel was not worth the money. They clearly have tried up update the building, but not well. Outside there was construction trash lying around, it had clearly been there for a while. The lobby was ok, but dingy. The elevator is very slow, and the door got stuck opening on us once. We mostly took the stairs after that, and we were on the 4th floor. (The hand rails in the stair well were not attached at the bottom on a couple of the flights.) There was often trash in the elevator as well. People stood outside smoking pot almost every time we came and went also, so the lobby and elevator often reeked of weed. Our room was clean enough, but both beds had cigarette burns in the covers. There were gnats flying around in the room, and a couple spiders as well. The shower did not work. They did fix that quickly once we went down and told them about it, but that shouldn't happen. The \"breakfast\" the listing says they had was oatmeal packets, a loaf of bread, some cereal, and a gallon of milk. The coffee tasted weird and we didn't drink it. There is no coffee in the rooms, so we bought mugs, bottled water, and instant coffee at the nearby Walmart. We tried to terminate our reservation early, but they were going to charge us for an extra day so we just stayed. Had I been traveling alone, I would not have felt safe there, but I wouldn't have been able to leave without paying for a room I wasn't staying in. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed in.

The room was dirty and was in a deplorable condition. Urine on the floor in the bathroom, tub covered with dirt residue and the sink had scum and hair. Tried to address the room issue with the management and was assured the room would be cleaned. An attempt to clean the room occurred on the last day of our stay and when checking out was charged the full amount. Management disregarded the follow up emails and phone calls. Facility and management not professional and not reputable. Stay Away!
