I stayed at the Hilton in Roseville on the night of the 4th of July because I was looking for a quiet place to relax away from the fireworks and celebrations. I booked the room last minute, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed.
The check-in process was quick and easy, and the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. When I got to my room, everything was clean, neat, and comfortable. It had a relaxing atmosphere, and I had a peaceful night’s sleep.
The rate felt fair for the location and amenities.
One of the biggest advantages is that the hotel is right next to the shopping mall, making it very convenient if you want to shop or grab something to eat.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and met my expectations. If I ever need a last-minute hotel in the area again, I would definitely consider staying here.

We’ve stayed here a couple years in a row for a large annual car show in area. Knowing that their parking lot may overflow with show cars, they arrange for extra parking at business across the street, which we did utilize this year and appreciated. Property is clean, pool was warm, hot tub was great, staff friendly. My only complaint is that both years we’ve made requests in our reservations (made months in advance), to have our three rooms close to each other. Even with reserving all rooms under one account and noting in all room notes for special request, all 3 rooms were on different floors and opposite areas of hotel. All rooms were basic double queens.
Janet
I would stay there again!
Kien
The hotel clean plenty of space to parking staff is nice I will come back when I visit Minnesota

Overall, I would not recommend this Doubletree by Hilton. Their attached restaurant AXELS is overpriced for what you’re getting. I ordered a Cajun pasta dish with only four shrimp in it, not a good portion and it was $49.00. I would also not recommend their queen whirlpool suite especially the one on the fourth floor, which I ended up getting a tickling coughing sensation and I wonder if it had to do with the fact that there is a moldy wet smell throughout the room that that’s musty. The Jacuzzi whirlpool and the suite was absolutely atrocious until I cleaned it with my professional tub cleaner. There were dings in the wood in the bathroom and ripped places in the carpet with no way to open up the window. The Jacuzzi jets were very powerful and luxurious after I cleaned the tub so I would recommend that if they can get antimicrobial piping, it’s pretty disgusting with what you should not have to be dealing with as a guest. I would advise you to not consider staying here, especially in the whirlpool suite until they have fixed what needs to be fixed you are not getting your moneys worth.

Pool was awesome. Did get super busy and unruly with a girls soccer team there and their parents on the outdoor patio drinking. Flooring was super slippery.
Room was good. Was a quite stay.

Appears to be an older property, but okay condition and maintenance. We would stay there again.

Very outdated rooms. And we had mice in our room.
Steven
It was a nice place
Kelly
I loved the shuttle that was provided for the event at the fair grounds. What an awesome added bonus
Daniel
Great hotel! Safe location. Great pool area. Delicious restaurant
Molly
Stayed one night, cost was 268$ (I get there was an event so price was probably more than normal), but this shouldn’t have cost more than 140$. The pro, check in was easy and free cookies were provided, the bed was comfortable and room was clean for the most part. Pool area is nice and big. Cons- the room is showing its wear and tear. For the price I would have expected an updated room but it was far from it. Walls dirty, needing a paint job, carpet not the cleanest, bathroom is super old looking. Also we were totally out of body wash and conditioner. Tried to call front desk and house keeping no one answered. Went to front desk to ask for it and he didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. House keeping did bring it up shortly after though. Speaking of house keeping, they knocked on our door at 8 am and opened our door while we were sleeping. I was woken by it. I have stayed at hotels that cost 86$ a night that are more modern and better condition. Disappointed in the cost and the quality.
Trevor
Place was good overall besides the mice on the 2nd floor running under the hotel room doors into your rooms. Staff wasn’t able to do anything about the problem.
Maggie
The staff was great. The rooms were clean and the location was very convenient. Will definitely stay again when in town.
Cristin
Very clean room. Very comfortable bed and the breakfast was delicious.
Would definitely come back and stay here again.
Thanks!

Clean, decent. Rooms felt very damp
Lisa
Rooms are desperately run down. Room smelled of mildew, paint coming off doors, furnishings in very bad shape. Hallways dimly lit, carpets worn. Slept on top of the blankets due to uncleanliness.
Julia
This was not the hotel we had originally booked, it was a rescheduled stay. Staff at the reception desk were very polite and helpful.
The room was a good size and was very clean. Our mattress was not the most comfortable The bathroom was very small and the toilet did not flush well, the shower head had a large amount of silicone around it, but was clean.
Overnight we could hear doors closing, toilets and showers running and people in the hallways.
We would not rebook this hotel again by choice.

The mattress was obviously worn out. The bottom of the mattress was higher then the pillow end. There was no cushion left and if I didn't have a bottle of tylenol it would have been worse. It was good for a daily back and neck ache. It's to bad because the people and location were good, but if you get a lousy nights sleep, that kind of kills it. It was a Hilton, which I thought meant something. They need to reinvest some money into one of the most important components of the hotel experience, better mattresses, which obviously should translate into a quality nights sleep. I don't normally write reviews.
Roberto
Our close to home spa getaway. Never disappoints, thank you!
Emily
Loved it! & The beds !!! Finally a hotel bed that didn’t hurt my Back. Kids loved the pool & staff cleaned the room for us while we gone as well. :)
Alejandro
Very nice hotel. The bar staff was great, the rooms were nice and clean, and the pool/hot tub was amazing!! We will be back.
Maggie
There were bugs in our bathroom, paint/wallpaper peeling from the walls. The shower was great. Great water pressure. Clean bedding. But felt like we needed to have our socks on in our room.
Rose
Very nice and clean property. We would stay again.
Matt
Busy place. Bery well run
Katie
Not terrible rooms, and complimentary bottled water was a nice touch. The pool seems to be the only thing they’ve upgraded in a while. Walls are paper thin so if you want to eavesdrop on what you’re neighbors are saying or watching on TV, this is a perfect hotel. Unfortunately for us it was less than idea. Not to mention the bar of soap and shower cap that were left in the bathroom from the prior guests. They cleaned the room a second time but left crumbs on the table so not sure what else they missed. Management offered us free breakfast for our stay which was the buffet from the on site restaurant — it left much to be desired. Needless to say we won’t be staying here again.
Brittany
Hotel was great but pool PH levels were off and irritated kids skin
Cristy
In desperate need of a remodel. Very old, dirty, mildew/mold smell
Susan
Comfortable beds. There was no shower gel in the bottle and there was no hair conditioner in the bottle. The room temperature was comfortable and easy to adjust
Kathy
Clean..up to date
Michael
Everything is as great people were kind and attentive
Brandon
Bathroom dryer cleaner staff is real friendly. I had a great pool hot tub if I had to recommend places to stay.
carrie
Soft bed and pillows, but the best part is a shuttle to events! Onsite restaurant with a full bar. Full shampoo/conditioner on the shower wall. Easy to get to, and has a Starbucks inside. The only thing I'd change, would be to add a waffle maker and free coffee for breakfast.
Padao
Clean rooms
Andrew
The staff was kind. My kids loved the pool & the cookies. We were located within a reasonable distance of everything we wanted to see & the price was reasonable.
Margaret
The fan unit in the room was extremely loud.
Brooke
Pool and hot tub were great, restaurant had great food, staff was very pleasant. Overall a great stay! The rooms are getting a little weathered but it was clean.
Alan

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hilton. The service and overall experience did not meet expectations.
The first night I tried to order dinner around 8:50pm, about 10 minutes before the kitchen closed. The first time I called I was transferred and no one answered. The second time I called, the phone was picked up and I was hung up on. I even texted the number that asks how your stay is going and explained the situation. They said someone would get back to me shortly, but no one ever did and I had no dinner that night.
I followed the breakfast door order instructions and hung the card on my door around 6pm the night before, well before the 4:30am deadline. In the morning the card was still on my door and no breakfast came. The front desk gave me two buffet vouchers, but I only used one because the buffet was not very good.
The room had issues too. The carpet was torn up in front of the jacuzzi whirlpool tub, and I saw ants in the bathroom.
My stay also never showed up in my Hilton app, so I don’t think I earned points, which is frustrating since that’s one reason I stay with Hilton.
I also didn’t receive the cookie at check-in that you’re supposed to get.
The only good part of my stay was Axel restaurant the last two days. The food and service there were great.
Overall, not a good experience and I expected much better.

This did not feel like a 4-star hotel. The location felt unsafe — there was a homeless man out front asking for money and another individual lingering near the stairwell which made us uncomfortable.
There were maintenance issues as well. One of the lights in the room was broken, there was no coffee provided in the room, and the toilet did not function properly — it kept running and refilling, and I was honestly worried about flushing it again.
Overall, the stay did not match the rating or expectations.

Wonderful as usual, great little gateway within the twin cities. Thanks!

I stay here and have for 15 years. Since Doubletree acquired the property I was expecting upgrades. Like the carpet and the black out shades that are broken in almost every room I have stayed in.
Otherwise the staff is wonderful!
So close to both sets of grandkids.

Great! Ran out of towels I. The pool for a bit but not a big deal.

We had a great stay as always! They ran out of Pool towels for a while but it wasn’t a big deal. We enjoyed a great meal at Axels and loved the cookies! Thank you for now offering a nut free option. My son has a nut allergy and it was nice for him to get a cookie upon check in as well.

Remember that Hilton Hotels do not usually include breakfast in the price, with some exceptions (coupons, etc).

The toilet ran constantly. The bathroom smelled terrible and made the entire room smell bad.
The pool area is very nice but the hotel rooms need renovation.

Very convenient location. Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
Nicole
It was an older building, but very clean and quiet. The pool was nice and they have a large whirlpool and sauna. The location is great, really close to tons of shopping and restaurants and only 5-10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. The staff was friendly. The beds were very comfortable, but I like a firm bed. It was nice to lay on a hotel bed and not roll into a hole in the middle. Best of all, it didnt smell like weed in the hallways, which has happened at every other hotel in the mpls area that I've stayed at. Would definitely stay here again.
Maureen
Nice staff. Good location. Shower was not optimal. Hard to adjust water temp and mildew on ceiling. All else great.
Stephanie
Loved the goodwill across the parking lot. The rooms were very clean. Nice pool and hot tub area

The rooms were clean, the problem I had with the room was the shower. Was unable to control the hot/cold. No comfortable setting, it was either too hot or too cold. The cleanliness both inside and out was clean. The transportation side was excellent. Used it for the State Fair and they were on time.
Liz
Need more shuttles.
The room was great. We choose this hotel for the shuttle service to the MN state fair. We found that the shuttle would fill quickly and the staff would scramble to find another driver. Evening pick ups from the state fair were packed and it did not seem like there ran enough shuttles to accommodate the promised service.
