Convenient location, right downtown. Rooms on river side have views of Lowell Park, St. Croix River and the lift bridge. Rooftop restaurant and the Irish Pub at street level are both good. The rooms are spacious and very clean, comfy mattress and offer a variety of pillows so you can find one that suits.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooftop restaurant was good for casual drink and food. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Kcup coffee maker made decent coffee. Didn't like seeing stacks of clean glasses on the cleaning cart for distribution without paper cover on lids. Shower faucet was completely subpar and small with minimal pressure. Shower door was difficult to open and close. Bathroom sliding door was cumbersome and very difficult to move. For the price of the room I expected more.

my 1 year old daughter woke up with a bad cough which was weird. looked in the hall and water was dripping from the ceiling so we were worried of mold being present in the walls and or ceiling. payed for two nights only stayed the one because of the fear for mold. still have a cough today. havnt heard anything from property or received any refund… it was room 301

Hotel staff was very welcoming and courteous. Room was clean but a little run down. A few improvements to consider in the bathroom, I.e. towel hook nearer sink, additional shelf for curling iron/hair dryer due to pedestal sink. Great location which is what you are paying for.

Hotel is in a great area. Check in is at 4. Although if you put your name on the list there may be a room available earlier. They let us store our bags while we walked around. Not a lot of amenities, really none. The hotel rooms are lovely and again the location makes it nice for a weekend stay. For the price I wouldn't stay longer than 3 days.

We stayed in the King balcony Riverview room. The view on the river and lift bridge were excellent. We were on the 2 floor, and got to meet some of the other guests with balconies also; great shade in the afternoon/evening; a partial wall provides some privacy. Soundproofing only seemed to be an issue with the door into the hall. You could hear quite a bit, but not the neighbors next door. Front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. Charlie's had a unique entrance from the hotel. When on the balcony, there was definitely some interesting people watching especially during night life. Overall, it was the perfect trip. Only downside was that the freaky painted parking lot spaces were only big enough for a car without room to get in and out. Many people made their own lines.

I think a little more thought could be put into places to put things .. had no place to put luggage other than floor. … but then the desk person did say ‘we got the cheap’ room… hmmmm!

The hotel is SUPER cute and in a wonderful location. The view of the river from our room was beautiful. The room was mostly clean but the shower doors were covered in water spots and there was leftover melted ice cream in our fridge. The lights kept shutting off on their own and there was a cocktail left in the stairwell that was there for at least 24 hours without being cleaned up. Not what I would have expected given the price.

The old rooms are creaky, with loud furnaces/air conditioners. No towel racks or grab bars near the slippery bathtub/shower combo. If you stay here I would request one of the newer rooms.

My mother and I were super excited to spend a weekend away for mother's Day in Stillwater. Especially at this hotel that was close to downtown , the river and had a rooftop bar and restaurant. However, the restaurant was not open or serving food on the rooftop and the bar was open, though the bartender didn't know how to make simple drinks. My mother ordered a bloody Mary and it was horrible! Just tasted like tomato juice and celery salt. No olives, cheese, celery or a beef stick to go with it. Overpriced drinks and overpriced stay. The room we stayed in was very old fashioned and had a weird smell to it. It was not comfortable at all and the price I paid for this top hotel was not worth it. On top of it, I had to pay additional $20.00 to park my car in the lot by the hotel, even though I was a guest staying at the hotel. Could have paid nothing parking on the street 200ft from the hotel. It was not the experience i expected I would have staying here. At least they could of notified some how the rooftop restaurant was not going to be open before checking in.

We love staying on the water - we do it every year for my husband's birthday.
I will say - this year we were bummed that our room didn't have hand soap/toiletries so we had to call down for that (they brought it up immediately) and then our coffee pot was gross - but they brought us coffees as soon as the restaurant opened, so also quick fix :)
The parking lot is also such a wonderful perk when Stillwater is otherwise challenging to find a spot. It took a lot of the stress off so we could enjoy a mini-getaway! Looking forward to next year!

The location is the best, right downtown on the river. It’s clean, and comfortable. Breakfast isn’t included which would be a nice addition.

Had a great experience. We loved the overall stay and our room was super cute.The parking was not free, but it was very convenient having the reserved parking for the downtown area. Even after our checkout we wanted to stop and shop at a couple more stores before heading back home and the inn accommodates the extra time for you to stay in their parking lot. Definitely would recommend staying here and will be back for our next visit!

They put us in the older section of the hotel and the rooms needed updating. Almost slipped in the tub/shower because they did not have a mat down. Also the roof top restaurant had slow service and not a lot of variety. They also never cleaned our room for some reason and we stayed two nights.

Staff was wonderful, clean but the older rooms look very creepy like straight out the board game of Clue. Had a dingy feel to it and a creepy vibe. Best part of my stay was the location, views and staff.

The hotel was very convenient to all the shops bars and restaurants. Our room was obviously in the oldest part of the building or maybe not the updated part, very dark ,very little lighting the shower had old soap scum build up on the door and in general didn't feel very clean. For the price you pay a night everything should be exceptional not just for the convenience.

We were initially assigned a room that was extremely dated and had a hot tub right in the sleeping area. Unfortunately, everything was covered in dust, the carpeting was dirty, and the bathroom had stains everywhere—even long strands of hair in the shower. I wouldn’t stay in that room under any circumstances.
We went back to the lobby and requested a room change. Thankfully, since it was the low season, we were able to get a new room right away. The second room was in the updated section of the hotel, and while the décor was nicer, it still wasn’t properly cleaned. The baseboards were dusty, and the coffee machine was appalling.
Since we were only staying one night, we made it work—but it was disappointing. I would have given this hotel negative stars if I could. That said, the staff was friendly and apologetic, and the location is great. Unfortunately, I won’t be staying here again.

The size of the room was huge! The ceilings were over 12’ tall. The view and proximity to the river was awesome! Walked most places for shopping, coffee and restaurants.
I wish there was a fridge and there wasn’t an ice bucket. The shower curtain was a little scuzzy.

The room was very dusty and the mattress was smaller than the bed frame.The bathroom needs to be updated bad shower floor is very slippery grout is all cracked.... we had to pay $20 a night to park witch is fine but my husband had to go in an ask him to open gate .

Check in was very simple. Was surprised that they are charging $20/day to park now. New attendant didn't give any instructions on how to get to my room. Asked for the St Croix room again, assuming there was only one. There's several and not all come with a tiny refrigerator. Had to ask for one which they brought quickly. Went down to Charlie's restaurant to get a pitcher of ice, like we did last time, and was told to go all the way across the hotel, to the front desk for an ice bucket. Inconvenient and the bucket was not insulated and did not fit in the fridge. Bathroom had a roll in shower that is very accessible. Low water pressure in the shower and no place to set toiletries on the tiny pedestal sink. Jet tub and fireplace were the biggest reason for staying here and they were fabulous. Room was very clean and had ample pillows and blankets for 2 people. Very nice bartender in Charlie's both nights, can't spell his name but I'll try, Ketame. Overall I would stay again but this place needs more for the price.

Over $250 for a room that had the smallest television ive ever seen, no refrigerator and super thin firm bed. It did have a very dated jetted tub surrounded by carpet which is why i didnt give the worst rating.
