Always a clean and well maintained room
Friendly and helpful staff

We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location.
nancy
This was a very clean and convenient stay for us right off the interstate. No frills but nice spacious rooms with frig, microwave, coffee in The room and the largest tv I've seen in a hotel. The office staff was very pleasant and helpful and the shower was clean with good pressure.we will definitely stay again. Also our room was a drive up motel where we could drive right up to the door which we like. Parking lot was well lit and quiet.
Steven
Excellent place to stay, clean safe and well maintained.
Scott
Really awesome experience great staff nice tv size clean fridge microwave good stuff and awesome prices
Matthew
Great Place! Very friendly staff.
Dustin
Been there twice now and will go back!
Ann
I was surprised on how quiet the rooms were even thought they were close to the freeway. They have done a nice job updating the room. We did have to air out our room when we arrived to get fresh air in and cleaner smell.
Richard
Recently renovated rooms were clean and comfortable. Manager was very friendly. Don't let the dated exterior fool you. The actual rooms are great. Highly recommended.
Chucky
Carpet smelled like pet
Fred
Room was just as pictured. Bed was very comfortable. Clean, and staff always replaced towels everyday. Motel is right off highway so tends to be a bit noisy. This was a motel not hotel so no pools, workout spaces, or food onsite. Coffee in room and microwave and fridge were clean.
Dale
Room was very clean and the staff was super friendly! Would definitely stay again!
Melissa
The price was reasonable. The manager was very nice. The air conditioner was very loud. The walls were so thin that we could hear traffic and the people in the room next to us.
Rod
The Royal inn was an amazing place to stay.
Clean rooms, bathroom looked brand new, beds were comfy and amenities were much appreciated!

I've stayed here many times and keep going back because it is a great place to stay.
From the outside this appears like any other highway motel with no-frills architecture and a good view of the interstate.
What sets this place apart are the cleanliness of the rooms, their pleasant decor, the friendly helpful staff, and it's great location, not only close to the highway, but also close to thriving and picturesque downtown Hudson, ...and not far from the rest of the Twin Cities.
I especially love the indirect lights behind the headboard of the bed that Illuminate the blue wall in a way that looks pretty cool and sophisticated.
Id also recommend the double Queen rooms with their vaulted ceilings and windows that open to a peaceful residential neighborhood.

Emily
Just stayed one night. Room was clean, front desk guy was very kind. No complaints!
Bonnie
It was clean and quiet. No frills.
Pamela
Obviously an old rosdside motel, but newly remodeled inside, very clean, with quite comfortable beds. Staff (owners?) were very friendly & helpful. They even had a small welcome gift for us. Safe feeling & very conveniently located right off I94. Good value.
Chris
The room was clean and previously updated along with the entire property. The staff was excellent and very accommodating during check in. We were welcomed with a gift bag and a warm pleasant smile. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in Hudson/Stillwater area.
Deborah
Older property with quality upgrades. Comfortable beds, very clean. Friendly manager/owner had a bag of goodies for us at check-in.
Ken
Pleasantly surprised. Room was recently renovated. Very nice.
Kari
Really nice poperty. Clean updated rooms. Great shower pressure. Heat/a/c unit worked great. Easy access from interstate. Very friendly staff. We will be staying again.
Mandy
Clean, quiet, and probably the best pillows I’ve had in a motel! The location is excellent for Hudson itself and nearby Stillwater and St. Paul/Minneapolis. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will stay here again.
Brian
The Royal Inn in Hudson WI seemed to be well kept both inside and out, checked in fairly late so no real dealing with staff really, but the gentleman pulling the late shift at the front desk was pleasant enough..I did appreciate the large tv that was in the room and with a wide selection of channels, would likely stay again without a doubt!!
Lisa
I love staying at this place when I’m in Hayward! The people are very friendly and love the size of the rooms.
Libbie
Nice place to stay. Room has fridge and microwave. Also has walking shower. Quiet even with being next to interstate
Patty
Clean motel - kind staff - good beds and great shower
bryan
It’s a motel, so parking was just outside our room. Although the room was small, it was very clean and comfortable. Front desk staff member was very nice and check in was easy. We were not facing the freeway, so it was relatively quiet. It was great for our one night stay and the value was excellent. We would stay there again!
Roberto
Rooms have stench, might be the carpet.
Joyce
Had an RV with us he found us a place to park. We felt it was a safe area.
Michael Robert
Excellent service and a friendly welcome! Beds were clean and comfortable. Great if you are looking for a place to stay the night.
John
This is going to be my go-to place to stay when I'm back in the area. Clean, updated rooms, reasonable price, great location off I-94 close to DT Hudson and restaurants, Target etc... Parking with great lighting. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Shower pressure is great. Very large TV in double room. Manager is always fantastic. He went out of his way to call me after I had left something behind and saved us both the hassle of shipping the item. Will be back!
Jason
Very clean and nice rooms
scott

The room was very clean, roomy, quiet, comfortable. It was a great location for what we were in town for. Very surprised by the quietness being so close to the highway and how full the hotel appeared to be. We enjoyed our visit!
Mary

Front desk was very friendly and check in smooth. Even gave us a small welcome bag with water and a few snacks. The room was very clean and beds comfortable. A no nonsense good reasonable motel. Right on the freeway but still very quiet.
Francis
Very clean comfortable room. The bed is extremely comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay again

Mike
Room was very clean and updated
Karlyn
The staff was amazing as usual. The parking was absolutely convenient. We parked right in front of our room and unloaded didn’t have to walk far and it was super clean and if we were cold, all we would have to do is adjust the heat accordingly and everything worked perfectly we absolutely love this place and we will be back.
William
All was good.
Vidushi
The parking was really easy and the rooms were very clean, the heater was something we were so greatful for. We were two girls and dare we say we felt extremely safe there. This is by far the best hospitality we have received from a motel, thank you for having us :))
Barbara
Clean room and clean breakfast area
Nikita
This is Motel. Extremely cold inside. wind coming thru the door and A/C. Do not recommended to stay. chose normal hotel
Lewis
Convenient parking, friendly inn keeper, convenient location, recently remodeled room with nice bathroom, and reasonable price are the reason i gave 5 stars. It was clean enough for the most part. The only issue i had was some hair left on the soap shelf in the shower but honestly when i comes to that kind of thing it seems like I run into that at pretty much every hotel, even really expensive ones. I would overall recommend the royal inn to anyone looking to park right outside their room as you will not find that anywhere else in Hudson.
Amy
We were very please with our 2 Queen bed deluxe room. It was very clean, beds were very comfortable and a blue light on the wall behind the beds gave it some great ambience. Very Happy with our stay. We will be back!
Karlyn
The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and they even gave us a little treat bag as a thank you for staying with them and the rooms are incredibly clean and I could reverse my car right to my room door very convenient. I’m very satisfied with this motel hotel, and I’m definitely coming back again
Bradley
The people were nice, room was clean and updated. The building is very old and it looks like it needs updated, but the room was decent, bed was comfortable, the tv was huge, bathroom was updated and clean
John
Super clean and updated room. Easy check in. Close to freeway. Reasonable price.
Diana
We've been here once before and had opportunity to stay again. It's an \"older\" hotel that has been very nicely renovated. Parking is right in front of your room. Great access to the expressway. Although close to the expressway, inside the room is extremely quiet. Staff is nice. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. We'll stay here again.
Travis
This motel exceeded my expectations, the building appears to be old but the rooms are renovated very nicely. Rooms are small but cozy and comfortable. They provided amenities and even a little welcome gift bag. I would absolutely stay here again.
VERNICE
Clean room♥️. Very nice staff.
John
Clean room, helpful manager, fair price.
David
Clean room. Really nice front desk staff. Easy check in. Quiet. Easy access to highway.
Melissa

Mona

Looking forward to staying here again
Looking forward to staying here again
Deb
Outside looks pretty rundown, a lot of stuff laying around outside of building. Quiet, clean room, courteous clerk. Comfortable bed and room temperature.
Diana
Very convenient parking and centrally located. The room was clean and comfortable . The heating and cooling worked well. Highly recommended. We will be back ! Friendly staff.
John
This motel has been here awhile. And you might be more apt to drive by without giving it a second glance. But if you did you would be missing out. My renovated king room had everything I needed. It was very clean. The mattress was comfortable and firm. Despite background road noise, I slept great. I stayed an additional night. I will come back.
Shelby
Amazing stay! The room was clean and welcoming! Staff was amazing! Parking was quick and easy! 10/10 would stay again! The outside gave a moment of pause, but the ratings for the Royal Inn did not disappoint! Wonderful Gem in Hudson!
Bonnie
The owners are so nice!! We felt so welcomed and the remembered us from a few months ago for two nights! So clean and quiet. We love this place!!!
Allen
The room was clean. The staff friendly. It is the motel is old.
Tonya
Room was clean, front desk staff was very friendly and informative on my stay and check out as well as how our drive was and hopes our stay is great.
ROBERT
This motel does not deserve its high ratings. Our room was not reconditioned, and it was dark, noisy and dirty.
Craig
I slept well, it meets all the needs!
Brian
Clean rooms...perfect stay for overnight stop.
Eileen
Customer service was friendly and attentive. They provided a goodie bag upon check in. Rooms have been recently renovated, are clean, and comfortable. They are smaller rooms as the original motel is probably quite old, but it suited our needs. If we stay in this area again, we will be repeat customers.
Kelly
Staff great room stunk and musty moldy
Kelly
Convent location to the Hudson & Stillwater areas, lots of parking, hosts were very friendly & accommodating. We loved the little snack bag we received on arrival. Our room in this motel was not large but you could tell it was newly renovated and the bathroom was modern and bright. It wasn't fancy but a very nice place to stay for our anniversary weekend.
Linda
Super nice room. Thank you!!
Mark
Parking easy directly in front of door.
Sharon
Very easy to get to from the freeway. The room was clean. Bathroom was upgraded last year so very nice. Huge TV in our room. The price is right. Would definitely stay here again as we like to stay at the smaller hotels rather than the big chains.
Danielle
Great experience. Great customer serice.
V.
This stay was great! The family who runs the motel is awesome and the rooms were renovated, clean, and overall nice. We will stay again!
Mory
I loved the front desk staff, so friendly. The hotel is small, clean and cozy. Very convenient location. I will definitely stay here again
Kaye
Updated, fresh and very clean!
Darlene
Overnight stay clean, nice staff
Maggie
Very clean & updated
Marcelo
The room was clean and the weeknight rate was very reasonable.
Judy
The room was very clean, staff friendly, shower very nice, room had been remodeled nicely, the outside still looks like an old motel. Convenient location. Reasonable price.
Ellen
The gentleman working the front desk was friendly and efficient. We were checked in and had our room keys very quickly. The gift bag was a very nice addition to the process. This place is not the Ritz by any means but was one of the better \"roadside motel\" type of places I've stayed at.
Monique
Very nice roadside motel. Curfew is 10:30, so don’t be late checking in. Pleasant surprise for a couple of desperate travelers.
