The hotel was cute. Staff was friendly. Our room was ok, on the small size and we didn’t really open the curtains because it overlooked another building’s balcony. That made the room very dark. It was a weekend in a popular destination town but overall, I don’t feel it was worth the very high price.

The location right on main street is a plus and a minus. Plus because it is convenient to all the attractions along and close to Main street, but a minus because you hear all the traffic noise and construction noise that can go until after midnight on a Saturday night.
There is no gym in the hotel but you can get your exercise other ways. The coffee shop right off the lobby is a huge plus. parking is only by valet but worth it. The rooms are a decent size, showers are great. Bed comfortable and tv has lots of channels. The restaurant in the lobby had some very attractive looking features, did not eat there but would in the future.

This hotel had the perfect location right when you enter downtown. It was close to a variety of restaurants, bars and stores. We were able to walk to the pedestrian bridge by the river in less than 5 minutes. Valet parking was available for a small fee if you can’t find parking in the street. We will be back!

This is a nice hotel with a comfortable bed! The bathrobes were luxurious. I was disappointed that the only window looked out at a stone wall. I would have appreciated a reading light as the room was not well lit. I also missed having a writing desk of some type. I enjoyed the stay!

Have stayed here twice and would return. Comfortable, clean rooms with helpful staff. Lots of great food options nearby. Front rooms are sunny, but some road noise in the mornings. Remember to request daily housekeeping as they default to a daily $5 credit in the self serve bar.

This is a lovely property in the heart of Stillwater. The reason we will not return is that the street noise from “hot rodding” motorcycles , trucks and cars cruising the main drag starts in early evening and continues into early morning hours. (We know this after 5 years of annual stays ). The noise is worst in the highest priced rooms that face the street. Dining on the patio in front of the hotel requires one to shout to be heard by others at your table😳. Not worth it.

It is a beautiful hotel with cool rock walls throughout it. We were disappointed in how loud our room was, we were right above the road and by the stop sign. We had roaring motorcycles,.... But the other thing was the lack of a chair or anything else in our room. It was basically a bed and bureau.

Alexa greeted us as we came in and was great at explaining the hotel layout and amenities. If you're looking for a gym, you have to go off site. They do offer a fitness kit which consisted of a yoga mat, 2 two pound weights, and mat cleaning spray.
The room was very quiet at night which we appreciated. The one window, looking out onto another building, would not open. The beds, while presenting the usual two dip areas, had great linens and comforters. Look out for the killer chairs, however!!! The room was quite small and the two chairs sat at the end of the bed right in front of the bureau. After stubbing a toe on the leg of the chair five times, I finally managed to really trip on it and now have a magenta toe that is painful.
Feller, the restaurant, was quite good. It leans heavily into bison, venison, and other game meat. However, several of the sides were great, including the carrots and the risotto. Nice vineyard choices for wine by the glass.

Everything was excellent except my wife and I thought that for a $30 valet charge, someone should come out and get your luggage and open and close the doors for you. Especially if it’s raining. We thought everything else was 10 out of 10!

For the price we paid on an event weekend, it was just too expensive. The room was small and had no view, plus we had to pay an extra $30 to park. The hotel itself is beautiful, but there wasn't anything special about our room except for the shower. The shower was very nice. I also really enjoyed espresso machine in the room. I've never seen that before.

We come to Lora every month or six weeks just for dinner and a night out. We love the place - warm welcome, great restaurant and bar, charming town of Stillwater just out the door, great beds. Home is only 20 miles away but we really enjoy the Lora getaway.

Room was in good condition. However, for an upscale hotel, even if it features a historic setting, I expected the TV to have Netflix, YouTube or Hulu features. But it was cable television only. Also, the hotel does not provide a microwave. During my husband our stay, we got upgraded to the premium king, which had a fireplace but when it was turned off, it made a beeping noise every 5- 10 seconds. Which woke us up five times through the night. The phone or no where in the room, was a direct number to the front desk, which we had to go to the front desk to turn in our keys and hand our valet card. But they were great and fast at retrieving the car for us. Overall, great hotel, staffs were friendly and helpful.

While we only live 25 miles away, we love to go to Lora for a night out. The hotel is delightful and within easy walking distance of great restaurants and activities. The staff always recognizes us by name and are very cordial. Walter, the big golden retriever always gives us a warm welcome.

However, for what was considered a premium room, I found it a little disappointing that the one window we had overlooked the roof of an adjacent building, with mechanical units that made loud noises all night long, making it difficult to fully relax let alone sleep well.

This has been one of my favorite hotels EVER. I'd rank it top 2, my only regret is I wish I spent 2 nights instead of one. Very quaint and right at the start of Stillwater. You can walk towards the river with the bridge leading you to Wisconsin or walk right down Main Street. Staff were very nice and helpful at the front desk, attached restaurant + bar and even the little coffee shop next door. Plus, the rooms are charming and very clean and spacious. I can't wait to go back to Stillwater and this will be the hotel of choice every single time.

I love the Lora and have stayed numerous times. My room this time was nice and quiet and clean. I appreciated being toward the end of a hallway too. I love the hotels location being right on the south end of town it’s walkable to everything. The only issue I had on this visit was with the thermostat. The room was set at 74 and took hot for my liking. I prefer to sleep at 68-70 degrees so because I was warm I didn’t sleep well. I tried adjusting it multiple times but the room never cooled down and only increased in temperature. Still enjoyed my stay and will return next time I need a staycation!

The property is unique and has charm. However, the elevator was down the whole weekend, we received an interior room that did not feel premium ( a view of a brick wall) and dinner at the restaurant (Feller) was more experimental than cohesive which left me more disappointed than impressed.
