The property overall was beautiful. Our cabin overlooked the creek. Staff was wonderful and very informative. As for the room, cozy but dated room. Unfortunately our cabin had a strong smell of campfire smoke which for a bit was ok but with someone who has a sensitive sense of smell, it made it difficult to enjoy the room. One other thing that was bothersome was the price we paid. Our receipt that was given to us at checkout had a cheaper price than what we paid. Finding out you overpaid for a room after an ok stay dampers the vibe.

We absolutely love the staff and the Idyllwild Inn. We stay there every year during the snow season and have always had a great experience. The cabin was clean, fire wood is provided for the first night with a fire starter.
It’s so close to town that we don’t have to drive anywhere. We will be seeing you next year Idyllwild!

From the start, front desk check in warm, welcoming and friendly! Stayed in New Rustic Suite 20: pleasantly surprised to find new vinyl flooring, a new couch, and a new bed. Suite is charming, clean, and comfy. Loved the jacuzzi tub! Well appointed kitchen with everything needed for cooking in. Idyllwild Inn located right in the heart of town, walkable to restaurants and shops. Would happily stay here again.

Multiple things in room not in good shape/broken. VERY MISLEADING about the room "off site".Its at another property, which is not what i was expecting. I was kind of expecting something that was away from the other rooms, Instead the room was above the boutique/check in. Lastly was the check in process, i called in advance to notify of using a different card at check in due to it bring a SUPRISE for my husband, they did not listen or CARE. They CONTINUED to try my card and even called my husband. They even continued to try the card after my conversation with them which was ridiculous. There was a hard time parking, especially when we returned from the daily activities due to people who were up visiting the snow loitering in the parking lot. The rooms were upstairs (which they didnt notify us of) and the pathways were slippery snd not shoveled. My husband watched a lady slip and fall....the property is not well maintained.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Location in the heart of Idyllwild. Great cabin - 14 is a double. Our cabin had a great porch with a picnic table for wine or coffee, a fireplace, a living room with a pull out sofa that has a super comfy memory foam mattress, a kitchenetter with sink/fridge/microwave and coffee maker. Separate bedroom with a queen bed. We arrived 20 minutes after 8pm but Sandy had arranged to leave our cabin key for us. Leisa was super helpful too. My ONLY complaint is that we were not able to stay a whole week due to my own schedule but I can't wait to correct that and book this place for a full week. Loved Rustic Theater, Mama's Egg, and great hiking!

The property was definitely pet friendly! I did not realize that my room (San Jacinto) had a sun roof - expect morning light. You could hear the people staying in the other rooms nearby. The blind that goes over the door doesn't fully block the view. I would find that as I would walk back into my room I could still see the gaps in the blind so I had to put my jacket over it to block my view. Overall, the room was clean, the bed was descent, microwave and fridge were all functional.

The stay could have been better. It was cold in the late evening and morning and the heater was out of service. Front desk explained that because several units all shared the same system and if one room was using the AC, the heater wouldn't work. What we found though is that the outdoor condenser unit wouldnt even turn on. We also found hair on the sink and bathtub, and carpet looks like it's overdue for a deep cleaning. We stayed in the the Mountain View room.
