Fantastic for long stays as you have an abundance of basic facilities (fridge, hob, dishwasher, microwave, utensils and more!) and for a 4 person stay I had booked you have a separate living area with a couple of sofa beds.

A last minute booking which turned out to be an excellent choice. Great location, parked outside the door for free (parking charges do apply at certain times however), a great welcome and an excellent studio room. Clean room, spacious, well equipped kitchen, large wet room, really comfortable super king bed and a great night's sleep. We would definitely come again.

If you're looking for a place to stay when you're going to events at the Utilia Arena Birmingham (or even just going into the city centre), then look no further than the Staycity Aparthotel in the Jewellery Quarter....just an easy 10 minute walk down the canalside path to ghe Arena.

Staff were all lovely throughout the stay. Couldn’t fault them. The issues were that I was charged again for my room when it had already been pre paid through hotels.com. The 2nd payment was taken on a different card to what the hotel was initially booked on and had been used to pay for breakfast. The bed had a lovely big mattress, but the base that it sat on was for a smaller bed, so about a foot of mattress was hanging over the side unsupported. Hotel was ideally located for Utilita but didn’t have enough parking so had to arrange to park elsewhere when I tried to pre book the parking the week before the stay.

It wasn't made clear during the booking process that although we booked a three bed apartment it hadn't been booked for three people. When this was pointed out at the desk what was an honest mistake was met with a level of patronising distain by the staff. After then paying to upgrade the room for three adults there wasn't sufficient bedding.

The floor was dirty as there was leaves on the floor when I got there Also had a yellow stain on the bed had to sleep on the sofa which was not comfortable at all. After all that the lady at reception was very rude to me as I asked to pay cash for overstay charge and she said yes over the phone when the time came to pay she threatened to call the police after 30 secs escalating the situation instead of helping me find a solution basically forcing me to find someone to borrow money from to put in my account when i literally had the money money in my hand.

There was a strange noise coming from the shower throughout the night, we reported this in the morning and that have said they will deal with it.
