Location was great for 4th of July festivities.Hotel was a bit run down and not very well maintained. Elevator kept shutting down, walking surface in the walkways was awful, torn and worn out covering, hot tub appeared discolored and surface was stained. The continental breakfast was coffee and a Danish and that's all. No juice or milk for the kids
Julian
No breakfast and looks the hotel needs renovation
Christopher
The room was larger than expected and very clean. Front desk staff explained how to use the ac switch and we found out how to turn on the fireplace, even though it wasn’t really needed! We only stayed for the night to rest before continuing our trip home, so we did not get to use the pool or the join, but the property was nice and clean! The bed was comfortable!

This lodge is charming outside and inside the room. It is older, so some things about it are funky, like the door locks and bathroom fan, which was connected to the light and made a really loud noise when turned off. The A/C was super loud, but nice for sleeping. It did not have flexible controls so we just had it on for super cold or off for quiet. The room includes a nice little fridge and microwave and a very small coffeemaker. The better coffee was in the lobby along with pastries served starting at 8:00am. It was super nice for a two person room that it had a separate sink with counter and mirror outside of the full bathroom. My sister and I had our own space for our toiletries and makeup. The hair dryer worked well and there was a nice, long clothes hanging space. The room appeared clean but our bare feet got really dirty so we had to wear footwear of some kind all the time. The internet is open so not safe to use. We used our mobile hot spot for any internet activity which was not ideal. The location of this lodge is awesome. We loved it and walked all over downtown from here - Shopping, restaurants and the Solvang Festival Theater. A fun find just a block away from our hotel and downtown is Dolly Parton's previous getaway home, with small windmill in the front yard. That is what drew us there. We have been to Solvang many times and stayed in several of the hotels. I would come back to this one and probably bring my swimsuit. The pool looked great.

Cute room felt old but in a charming way, not like they haven’t ever updated. Beds were comfortable. Fireplace in the room. Had a fridge hidden in the dresser. 3 story building but has a small elevator.
Daniel
Nice place the weather was good, good stay close to all the places to see
Manuel
Location was great. The room was clean.
There was no breakfast. They offered a danish, coffee, hot water for black tea
the hot tub is ready to be demolished like most of the hotel. the floor around the pool needs to be replaced someone is going to fall. The hotel is very old. There are cracks all over. The receptionist is behind the computer, you have to speak out so she can help you. There is no maid service unless you stay 3 nights or longer. I was disappointed. It was too expensive for what we had.

The outside of the property is run down and delapidated....the outside carpeting is all torn and the whole property looks run down and needs renovation.
The breakfast pastry were hard.....looks like it has been there for days.
we used the hot tub and the water was too hot for me....maybe o.k. for others.
the parking was good....no problem on the parking.
the area is close and walking distance to the stores and restaurants.

Although this is a very dated hotel, it is in a great location. The beds were comfortable. Coffee and Danish are served for breakfast. Plenty of parking. Spacious room but again is very dated if you are looking for something more up to date. For a night or two stay this was perfect for us.
Mary
In its hey day, the property was probably desirable. Online photos made the best of the reality. Rooms were “cozy.” Continental breakfast of coffee (lids weren’t even available) & Danish was limited. It definitely needs a major update.
Susan
The shower stall was disgusting both in and out. Getting in the shower was a challenge - door opened wrong way.
Hot tub needs to be relined or painted.
Pool was freezing.

The hotel was ideal based on location. The rate was priced high for the hotel. It is a bit older and run-down. A remodel would have been ideal for future travelers.

Parking was fine
Everardo
I like this hotel, except the bed was too soft
Josephine
Except for minor changes, the hotel has not been upgraded since it opened. Old furnishings and carpets.

Hotel is located in a good spot, close to all atractions and dining, and the Santa Ynes Mission 🙏. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. Is an old hotel, but overall well maintained.

The hotel is old and not taken care of. The room alarm clock was not turned off by cleaning crew. The alarm kept on waking me up. There was a stranger walking around the hotel lurking. Person next door to my room had to confront him and asked him to leave the premises. I can’t say much about the staff. The interaction was very short. For breakfast all they had was a few unpacked Danish pastries, coffee, and tea. It was worth the price. Not to mentioned, they didn’t communicate there was going to be a city event during check in time. Which blocks the entrance to the hotel. I had to be escorted by a police officer to get to the Hotel. Overall, it was disappointing and I won’t stay there again nor do I recommend it.

The room was nice on the corner with lots of windows. But could hear everything upstairs! Dropping things, luggage rolling around, the TV, that was uncomfortable. No filtered water on site to fill up water bottles. Also, small showers (but with excellent water pressure). Bed was also comfy.
John
Just a cute place to stay in the middle of the mountains.
Paul
Unable to stabilize room heater
mary
It was a great stay. Room was clean. Staff very helpful! Hot tub was great! Would stay again.
Alex
The room was clean and you can tell it was just by the smell like it was deep clean which we liked. The smoke detector started to beep and we call the front desk. The guy came up right away and fixed it no problem. The only issues that I noticed was in the bathroom. The shower door was not all the way down in one corner when closed so water leaked out onto the bathroom floor. The shower head needs to be replaced or deep cleaned. It was corroded and had calcium build up pretty bad which made the shower unenjoyable. The bathroom sink had a beer bottle opener attached to it which seemed weird and it was pretty corroded and seemed to be covered in calcium buildup as well. Other than that, everything elsed seem ok for just staying 1 night.

Cute and affordable little lodge in a great downtown location. Parking is easy and plentiful. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. Rooms are fine, beds were comfortable. Breakfast is meh. Overall a good value for the price.

We stayed here during a spontaneous trip to Solvang and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The booking process was quick and easy, and within minutes we were already checked in and settled into our room.
We had a ground-floor room with a comfortable king bed and parking conveniently located in the back of the property, away from the main road, which made it quieter and more relaxed. The room itself was clean, simple, and functional — not luxurious, but definitely comfortable for a short stay.
One of the highlights was the location. Everything in downtown Solvang is within walking distance, including bakeries, restaurants, and local attractions. We were able to park the car and explore the area on foot, which made the stay much more enjoyable.
We also spent some time at the pool, which was a nice addition and a good way to relax during the afternoon.
In the morning, the lobby offers coffee and light pastries — simple but convenient before heading out for the day.
Overall, this is a great option if you’re looking for a clean, well-located, and affordable place to stay in Solvang. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price and location, it offers excellent value and a very pleasant stay.

Clean & super convient location to downtown. Good value.

This place was very old and not kept up over the years. We arrived after the sun set. When we got to the room we realized it was old, but had charm. All that charm ended when we looked up and saw a huge hairy spider. This spider fled to the wall and in a crack in between the ceiling and the wall. Thank goodness we only stayed for 1 night. We didn’t shower and left very early.
Bo
Fresh danish

Friendly staff
Mona
such a cute place on the outside but very low budget.
I won’t be staying there again :/

One danish & coffee is not what I consider a breakfast. This was disappointing. Night front desk was friendly and professional. Day shift front desk was super quiet. Although I cannot expect a huge smile and friendly voice at every hotel. It would be nice.
Edward
Fun stay and super accessible regarding walking to other places!
David
Carpet very filthy and smells old

We stayed at this hotel yesterday. It was so-so, but the only big downside was that the jacuzzi didn't work. I asked the receptionist, who contacted the manager, and he said we couldn't turn it on. We were upset. If you want to find yourself in a similar situation, you can stay at this hotel.
Blanca
The room was just OK. It wasn’t great. The AC was not working properly, it kept turning off every 20 to 30 minutes making the room feel stuffy and/or hot. Couple of flights were out. For breakfast, it was just coffee and pastries, not even cereal for the kids or at least orange juice for kids to drink with the pastries. Children do not drink coffee. But for one day, I think it was just OK. If we would’ve been more than one, I might have some more issues. Then again, maybe it was just a one time thing.
Henrietta
Staff was great-very friendly and helpful, location was great, it was clean, very nice setting with view of pool out our window.
It needs hand bars for seniors in the tub and bathroom, the TV was not clear-old TV!

Clean, spacious, nice fireplace that warms up the room. The door was hard to unlock. Refridgerator, microwave, coffe machine all worked and the coffee was good. We didn't eat breakfast there.

$120 per day (1 king bed) with not cleaned room
-Poor conditioned carpet ( so dusty, looks like the carpet never got taken care of for decades )
-A/C had a lot dust (gray color dust)
-some short hairs in the bath tub (we don’t have short hair)
-poor breakfast menu selection
(There was only danish & coffee)
I don’t recommend this place.

Room's space is really good and we loved the fireplace. Staff was also very nice. Location couldn't be better. We would definetely stay again.
Christine
No good
Stephen
Good location. Room was OK for an Inn. Nothing to write home about.
Vivian
The motel is quite old and worn but it is clean and fairly quiet. The big perks are that it’s walking distance to downtown Solvang and all the nice shops and restaurants and the free parking! Parking in downtown Solvang is insane with the Holiday crowds so having free parking and then walking to stuff was definitely worth the money.

No balcony and no breakfast besides danish and coffee.
Cynthia
Service was excelent and room was super cozy! Would stay again!
Naomi
It has the basic amenities. I had a clean, warm room for one night. The location is ideal for me. I would stay here again.
Albert
The breakfast is not what I expected to be. Even the water for the coffee is not hot.
Christine
Located right in downtown solvang and everything was so easy to walk to.
Gabriela
Enjoy the room, it was spacious and the place safe and in a good location.
Mckandy
There was no breakfast, just a few limited danishes, hot water for tea and coffee. It should be listed as continental breakfast with tea and coffee. Breakfast denotes more food items. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.
Delia
Yes, it was a wonderful peaceful stay, very helpful and very clean. I had a wonderful stay. Thank you!
William
No view and no breakfast included
Victoria
Yes everything was great. A little old and worn but clean and welcoming.
