This is a well located property, cute and charming. The only issue was the area is loud given its centered in the heart of Solvabg. It’s best to have double-paned windows. Also, bed was not good.

everything was great until the following day we set out the sign on the door requesting the room to be cleaned while we were out. We came back about four hours later and it was still not cleaned. I spoke to the cleaning woman she indicated she would be done in 25 minutes. We went shopping, an hour later still not cleaned. The cleaning woman was leaving so I asked her as we needed clean towels and TP. She told us her supervisor told her not to clean the room. I spoke to the supervisor and she said they do not clean the room unless you stay three days. I asked for towels and TP but it was a big ordeal and I could not understand why. Great room but will not be stay there again as a simple thing like towels and toilet paper are only given on the third day. Otherwise you have to empty your own trash and make your own beds (just like home!)

Location was great...within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bakeries in Solvang! Very close to lots of great vineyards. We are a family of 5 and the bathroom we got was a bit too small for all of us, but I think there are larger units available, we were just not lucky enough to get one of those due to availability at the time of booking.

The location was prime as it was walking distance to everything in town! The room was semi-clean. The bed was clean but there were dead bugs (silver fish/spider) in the closet and drawers. It was semi clean in the sense that you can tell they cleaned up but not a deep clean. They provided a wine tour guide with places for a 2 for 1 pour which was cool! Overall if you are looking for a semi-affordable prime location spot then I would recommend. They were also very great with responding!

My wife, baby, and I had a great stay in this nice, 8-room hotel in the heart of Solvang. The room was spacious and had a fridge and microwave. The owners were super responsive. We'd stay there again!

The only thing I might note for others traveling with small kids is the sound. It's not noisy, but you can hear other guests walking around or talking outside. Just make sure to bring a white noise machine.

At $160+ per night, the beds were poor quality \"spring\" mattress' which wobbled from side to side with each movement and covered with \"flat sheets\" as duvets. The bathroom floor had hairs from the previous guest. The tub had no safety mat to prevent slips and falls. The windows are ALL screwed shut, without screens, no sheers for privacy are present even though the public sidewalk is clearly visible and within 5 ft. These windows also have window boxes nestled with ABUNDANT spiderwebs for your viewing pleasure while you enjoy your morning \"complimentary\" INSTANT coffee. I highly recommend this property as it seems to be near a karaoke bar where visiting patrons can try not to sound like a stray cat being stepped on at 10 o'clock at night.

Very clean and neat. Nice frig/with small freezer. Had water with Atterdag Inn label and free. Also ticket for a local bakery for daisy and drink. Ticket for wine tasting two for one. Area at end very quiet. Had their own parking in the back.

Perfect stay for a girls trip

Came here with 3 additional friends on a girls trip and had a great stay! It was very clean and minimalist. Check-in was simple and the hosts responded quickly to any contact we made. This inn is set in the heart of the town Solvang and we easily walked to meals and shopping. Grateful to have a parking spot!

We loved our stay and were very happy to stumble upon one of our new favorite restaurants, Whiskey N Rye next door. Loved the contactless check in and check out. The extra towels and pillows that we asked for before we got into town were already in our room when we arrived. The room was light, spacious and the hotel’s location was great. We will definitely stay at Atterdag again.

The Atterdag Inn was overall a good hotel. We have stayed other places in Solvang that had better overall facilities, front desk, and parking for similar or lower cost. But this trip in particular we needed a bunk room, and this was the only option we found, and a good one. The room was not cleaned as thoroughly as I would have preferred, but was acceptable. And the room was very nice and met all of our needs well.

The location was perfect, with easy access to all the shops. Access to our room was super easy since they don't have a front desk, or person on site. Only downside is the couches are not comfortable and one changes to a sofa bed which was very uncomfortable.

This is our second time staying at the atterdag inn and it is very convenient. Close to restaurants and shops, plus it’s a small quaint inn. There’s not a lot of noise. Plus, there’s a microwave so you can reheat anything you go out to eat :)

What a cute place to stay. Very small motel. Easy access with a code. We were on the main level so our car was right outside. Loved the space in our unit. The only thing I wished it had (which I knew it didn't prior to booking) was a microwave. Wasted a lot of good food that we couldn't finish at all the great restaurants. Bed and pillows were soo comfortable too!

property is very different than what it appears in photos. Its smaller. That's fine. First of all, the place is nice and small. Checkin experience is smooth. Got quick response when I needed to checkin a bit early

AC unit is old, smelly and noisy. Window screens have small gaps on the edges for outsiders to see inside, including in bathroom.
Seemed over-priced for the facilities.

Still happy that its closer to the main downtown area and restaurants.

Let me start by saying that we have had two previous stays at this hotel that were very nice.

This time was not so nice. When we arrived, the room smelled of sewer and many things such as the toilet seat, were loosely installed. The furniture was extremely uncomfortable and the TV set up was from the 1990’s. I mean, you couldn’t even watch something fullscreen without loosing all the image quality.

Lastly, after texting the property manager and confirming that our stay was secured through Monday. (12/18-12/19). We were approached at our door and forced to leave the residence. We ended up moving to Hotel Corque, a much nicer and cost effective hotel, and spent the rest of our trip with some well deserved comfort.

I would be very careful about what to expect before booking with this hotel.

It was so loud that we left.

The Atterdag Inn was clean and the room was acceptable but it was without a doubt, the loudest room that we have ever attempted to stay in. I knew we were in trouble when I saw that they provide ear plugs on the nightstands next to the bed.The courtyard is located right outside the window to Unit 3 and the voices of anyone out there are so loud that they sound as if they are talking inside your room. The upstairs room also echoes every footstep and the moving of chairs makes loud scraping sounds like a bad horror movie. I literally thought we were being punked and that they were filming to see how we would react. We stayed for a couple of hours and just packed up and left at 9 PM because it was so ridiculous. Maybe the other rooms were ok but Unit 3 should not be rented out if there is someone upstairs.

Check in was easy and simple. They texted me the code to get into my room. Pros: The room is big and the location is very convenient. Cons: The walls are very thin. You can literally hear your neighbor’s conversation. The room next door was drunk and was laughing and talking so loud pass 1:00am, I had to text the hotel to tell them to be quiet. My room was on the bottom floor and I can hear loud footsteps from upstairs. The blinds on the windows are awful! Even when you close it people can see you from outside. No privacy at all. I can’t understand why they can’t invest some money to buy better curtains/blinds. Pressure of the shower was very weak as well.

Mostly outstanding. Very close in and central. Easy to walk to. I think there are 7 spaces behind the building but 8 units, so last arrival of the day doesn’t get a spot. We had to park in the public lot about 100 yards away. The asphalt between that lot and the hotel is rough and might damage your luggage. Hotel has an elevator and comes with nice amenities like water bottles and Keurig. Floors could have been a little cleaner and could use a mopping. And hot water take about 5 minutes to get hot which wastes a lot of water. After it’s hot, it seems to be plentiful and adequately hot. I’d still stay here again.

I was surprised that my guests were only given a small blanket. I booked for 4 people and for 2 of them, including my daughter, she was only given a sheet and a small blanket. It said sofa bed, but the sofa just reclined. Leather sofa too. Not very comfortable for either of them. I felt misled.

An interesting place. Cute,clean & central to everything. There is contactless check in which is great but the whole expierance is in fact contactless... the human touch is missed. We ran out of toilet paper in the middle of the night and had to wait until 9am for someone to drop some off GASP. Anything you needed just took awhile bc no staff was on site. There is also no lobby so if you’re coming in from far and need to use the restroom and your room isn’t ready... you have to go and use the park restroom (not ideal upon arrival) I would recommend upon check in asking for anything you feel you may need
( more towels, toilet paper etc) and then you’ll be set up! Enjoy the high ceilings they are beautiful!

It is nice and close to anything you want to do in Solvang. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of towels. Staff was helpful when we wanted more hangers, etc. daily cleaning has been suspended due to Covid( I’m guessing). That was a bummer, but other than that , it was good. Nice size bathroom

I picked this hotel since it stated that it was newly renovated. Walked into our room and things were just cheaply renovated and a really strong cleaning solution smell. I couldn't even sleep all night because of the smell. The parking lot was right next to our room so we heard all the traffic and the car doors closing. Seems like there was no insulation at all. We would not stay at this hotel again. The pros are that its walking distance to the boutiques and restaurants and easy parking.
