We were happy with the experience. This was our 4th to stay in the property because of cleanliness and friendly staff .
Jason
Great hotel. Hot tub was excellent
Zofia
Mark checked us in..Karen was the other staff there. All were very helpful and kind. The room we had was clean and quiet at night. The cleaning staff was also very kind. The location was in the middle of Solvang which was great because we walked everywhere and did not have to move our car. I highly recommend because of location, kind and helpful staff. Definitely returning again.
James
Rooms clean and modern. Location is right in the middle of Solvang where you want to be. You can walk anywhere from here. Will be staying here again.
Jennifer
Very cute inn. Great location. Friendly staff. Very comfortable room. Would stay here again.
Cheryl
Very clean and centrally located.
Karen
Loved the room. Would have loved not be awakened by a power washer at 6:30 in the morning. Otherwise great.
janet
Excellent staff, communication & service. Very well located in the center of Solvang. Easy walking to shops, restaurants and central park area. And on Wednesday nights there is a concert in the park next door & a farmers market. 🎉👏
Cecilio
The room was average size for an inn, there was spiders and cobwebs on top of the sink. To stream Netflix and Peacock you had to pay an additional fee to borrow a Roku, when I went to the front desk to ask to pay for the additional service the front desk told me they had run out so I was not able to stream on the Television. Overall, the room was okay. Stayed overnight to experience Solvang. The cleaning staff were exceptional! Very professional and friendly!

Rita
Big, clean room, nice beds. Hotel is cozy and nice. Breakfast was very light with only danish pastry, oatmeal, and drinks.
atossa
I reserved two rooms, one with two queen beds and the other with two double bed. However, when we arrived, we were given only one room with two double beds and the second room had just one queen bed. When I brought this issue to the staff's attention, they did not offer any solution and simply told me that the manager was off duty and there was nothing they could do.
This experience was very disappointing, and it will be the last time I stay at this hotel. The breakfast was also poor, with very limited options and no adequate seating area for guests.
Considering the amount I paid, I could have stayed at a much better hotel with better accommodations and customer service. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

Carpet had an odor suggest to integrate better flooring other than carpet. Had issue with key car entry could not access room one morning. Also the room rate was a bit high for the quality.
Marc
All good, great location.
Michelle
Convenient to everything in solvang . Once we checked in and parked we could walk to everything in town
Michael
Great central location in Solvang. Rooms were very outdated and could use a touch up. Breakfast was simple but adequate for a light breakfast.
Lorrie
Front desk staff was excellent. Pool and hot tub were a great addition. Sound protection was provided which was nice (ear plugs for light sleepers and a white noise machine was awesome). Breakfast wasn’t really breakfast but that was okay. Direct TV without access to log into streaming was the only downside.

We stayed for 5 nights and we had a great time. EVERY single staff member that we talked to at the hotel was friendly and helpful.
One of the front desk ladies was our absolute favorite, she worked the afternoon shift and she helped us so much with suggestions and always had great quick conversations when we would go in for a beverage.
Hotel room was clean and spacious. We were very happy with the cleanliness and loved that the water was filtered. Pool and hot tub were always clean as well.
Recommend to do their scavenger hunt, it was fun for us. Hotel is right in the middle of downtown and everything like shopping, restaurants and trolly is walking distance.
Breakfast is small but yummy. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Solvang again.

We arrived so late so all we did was sleep but nice and quiet everything that we needed was available, nite staff was friendly welcoming and helpful.
Emily
Charming spot right in the heart of Solvang, authentic architecture and appeal. Within walking distance to all the fun tourist attractions and restaurants in town. Clean pool and hot tub, wonderfully warm and helpful staff, comfortable beds. The bathroom could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly, which is my only critique. Great value for the price. Highly recommend!
Maria
Room was very clean, good breakfast and staff very pleasant.
Debra
The staff and location were fantastic!!!
Gerald
Ample parking and accessibility made our stay comfortable. The location was ideal, being in the center of town to make walking to restaurants and shops easy. I'll be sure to check the Solvang Festival Theater schedule before a return trip since the hotel is only a block away!
shon
Great location at the center of Solvang
Luis
Nice and quiet. Clean rooms and pool.
Barbie
I like how the staff was easily accessible when needed. The pool was just outside of our room. I love the location of the place because it was in the middle and can just walk to the local shops and restaurants!!!
Mehdi
It's beautiful hotel with best location. No elevator for 2. Floor. Enough parking lot .
Kimberly
Great location!
Harold

Andrea
Excellent service and clean room!
Alan
The location is great for being in the middle of the Solvang. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is well maintained and fresh with a comfortable room. I would definitely stay here on a return visit to Solvang.
Dorothy
Beds were good Staff very friendly room was very clean Mark on the Staff really helped finding a great place to eat. He was so friendly Breakfast was more than enough to make us happy.
Maria
Everything was fine, clean room, friendly staff.
Breakfast was continental style.
Place is located in the center of Solvang, easy to walk from there.
Only thing negative was the bed mattress. All woke up sore. Time to change them.

The room was clean, had a good bed, and was quiet after about 9:00. A strong \"plus\" were the desk staff who went out of their way to be welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stay was as I expected, decent value for the money. The place is in the heart of town, so every place was easily walkable and I left my car in the free parking.
The only thing that was extremely annoying was the number of emails I got from the business---about fifteen emails over two days---which required going to the email, then clicking on the button, then clicking on another butter for no additional news; several came after I had checked out, telling me how to check out. One \"welcome\" email would have been sufficient. Otherwise, a good choice.

Everything about our stay was very nice regarding the hotel. It was what you would expect. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable! However the employees were wonderful!! I thought that I had left my necklace on the bed after we left and the staff and managers did everything they could to help me. Thank you!!
Carol
Responsive, attentive staff. Room was basic and perfectly fine.
Christopher
Staff was lovely.
Jeffrey
A bit dated and could use some modernization but does the job
Bektursun
We liked everything. Especially the location! Near the hotel you can find everything you need and all the beautiful places. The breakfast is a bit limited but the taste of pastries were amazing.

Anna
Great location- in the center, Fast check in. Clean room. Not such a comfortable area for the breakfast, but you can take your breakfast to the room (trays are provided). I can say that it’s overpriced, but no other opportunities. The Solvang is great at all!
laura
The floors in our room were dirty, the room was humid and musty. I would not stay there again
ryan
Everything was terrific here. Nice staff, clean rooms, right on the main street. Great location. Bed was super comfortable and room had very good, working a/c. Maid service came without asking which, anymore, is shocking to me. The walls are a little thin to be honest but didnt bother me as I was out and about all day. Pool looked amazing though I didnt use it. I will definitely stay here again when I come back.
Lourdes
Justin
Great room and very clean! The location was also pretty central to everything
BRANDON
My stay was a wonderful experience
Thank you
Thank you
Maria
The location was great and the room was nice and tidy. The pool was nice after a day by bike. The breakfast wasn’t much - no bread except danish pastey. No eggs or yoghurt, just som apple sauce, fruit, juice, coffee and Tea.
Annette
Central location. Clean and convenient.
Olivia
Although the inn is older, for the most part it is well maintained.
Imee
This our first time spending overnight at Solvang. Kings Frederick is perfect for our stay. It’s so close to all the treasures/ beautiful spots of this small village. My son loves the scavenger hunt that they provide. They gave him a small present after we walked around the village and finding those historical spots. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. The staffs are nice and helpful. The breakfast was good especially their danish pastry! I will for sure coming back and recommend this place to my family and friends!!!
Elaine
Centrally located and walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping. Older hotel but clean. Our room was cleaned and replenished daily. Easy parking and really good coffee in the lobby
Gregg
Very clean, but very small toilet
Bradford
This placed was clean. There was one guy we saw often walking around, picking up towels and restocking pool area, empty cups, wiping down the table outside our ground floor room. Great!
Also, we went a couple days before Memorial Day weekend, the front desk staff contacted us to place a parking permit on our vehicle so they could watch who parked in their lot. Great place, great service, clean and very friendly. Pool / hot tub were also very clean.

great location friendly staff and convenient and short walk to most of Solvang's sights.
Joanna
Great place to stay. Staff was super nice ans helpful with recommendations. Close to many things to do as a family. My kids enjoyed the trip and stay here. Definitely would come back.
Jennifer
We loved that the property was centrally located. In the middle of the town. Everything we needed was perfect walking distance. The beds were comfortable (super important to me)! The hot tub was great! The staff was great! The danish in the morning was a nice snack to hold you over!
Cheryl
The hotel is in a great location and has plenty of parking. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel, but the room was very clean and the bed was comfy. The only negative is the lack of ports for charging electronics.
Dion
Excellent place to stay in Solvang. Right in the middle of all shops.
Shauna
We have stayed at many properties in Solvang and were happy with King Frederick Inn. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Karen. The location was central, literally, the center of Solvang. Everything you could need is within walking distance.
The main reasons for the four star instead of the five star (8 verses 10 based on Expedia double valuing the points), is the proximity of room doors. Our door was virtually hindered to the room next to ours and neighbors returned at 11:00 p.m. and proceeded to enter and exit the room and slam the door numerous times, causing us to be startled from our sleep. The walls are also thin so be prepared to hear things you may not wish to hear.
There isn't much based on the idea of breakfast - one danish per guest, yogurt, granola bars, coffee. But not much else. We are not big breakfast people, so it did in a pinch. If you want breakfast, go down the street to Paula's - you will be happy you did.
We would return, perhaps, but are cautious about the close proximity of the doors and their slamming.

Pros: walking distance to all the shops. Swimming pool open 9am-9pm. Family board games in the lobby and in the suite. Breakfast offering available. Small shop in the lobby that had snacks, chapstick, etc for sale. Sound machine and Bluetooth radio were neat touches.
Cons: swimming area had reclining chairs that looked stained and dirty. My family of five stayed two nights and we were only given enough towels for one day. Pull out sofa creaked any time someone put weight on parts of it, causing sleep disruption. Strange smell of room when arriving, slightly sewage slightly old water smell. Channels had poor reception and we tried watching three separate tv movies on the tv, and failed due to reception each time (Acr Ventura, Jurassic Park, Avengers).

Our stay was fabulous! The whole city was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly. Our room was spectacular. air-conditioning was super. breakfast had fresh pastries from neighboring shops. I will definitely stay here again 10 out of 10.

Overall good place to stay. Clean room, A/C worked great.
Patricia
Cute little hotel convenient to everything walkable in town! Complimentary pastries from a local bakery for breakfast. Super friendly staff!
Elena

Francis
Complimentary breakfast is good
Marianella
The staff was great. Just very noisy.
Charlene
Location is excellent.
Dave
Everything was fine with the place but no elevator and sort of dated. On the good side the location is perfect, it includes a danish every morning and the bed was comfy. Parking is free also and the lot was never full.
Patricia
This hotel has everything you need. If you forget anything just go to the front desk they will have it. Forgot your bathing suit ? They have suits. They do their best to make sure your travel goes smooth.I would definately stay there again..
Steven
They went cheap on the breakfast, Olsen's pastries but everything else mediocre and processed need better coffee go across the street for that...
Joanne
Very enjoyable. Great staff.
ANSELMO
Except room, service and location.
Alejandro
Great location central to restaurants and shops. The receptionist was really friendly and informed on history of town. Would definitely recommend the pool and jacuzzi.
Sharon
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast is more like a snack than a meal.
James
We've stayed at this hotel for decades. We've tried others nearby but once even checked out early to complete trip here
Ryan
We love coming to King Frederik! The staff is the best and it is so centrally located to everything Solvang has to offer! The icing on the cake is the fresh danishes and coffee for breakfast!
juvenal
It was a fun stay but at night it was pretty wild.. dont know if it was a wedding or just young adults but god they were extremely loud and slamming doors yelling and knocking on our door at midnight and again around 3am.. came for mothers day weekend with the mindset that it would be a nice relaxing weekend and stay but that changed at night overall was a good visit but probably wont stay there again
Gary
Great hotel location and layout. Pool and spa were clean and great. Room was very nice. Just note the breakfast is just a small selection of coffee, juice and pastries...not enough to fill you up.
Svitlana
Clean room, hot tub, breakfast
jing
The room is clean, location is convenient. However the hotel is on the side of a main road (route 246), and it was quite noisy. Also, breakfast does not have enough places for eating, and not enough varieties of food as compared to the normal hotel breakfast, though it has Danish, which is good.
April
Pros: We had a he bed was comfortable. Th

King Frederik Inn is centrally located in Solvang. Shops, dining areas, bookstore, bakeries & even historic Mission Santa Inés church are all walkable. Breakfast very light— complimentary Danish pastries, coffee/tea. Would be great to have fresh fruits. Free parking. Mark & Sandia, staff, were helpful & friendly. Only 1 night here but will come back again.
