We paid (in our opinion) top dollar to stay at a RV style setting in a Wine Cottage with Fire Pit. There was a smell that even after we complained about was horrible. We could not be in the cottage for more then a limited amount of time. Secondly the shower pressure was soo high that our 8 year old was not able to physically shower and myself as a grown adult was difficult. The grounds in general were just dirty. If I had a fifth wheel and didn't care about wearing sleeves, this place is perfect and I realize that is 95% of the catered clientele but the Wine Cottage with Fire pit was a absolute rip off. Wound not recommend.

I went to Flying Flags with 8 of my friends and had the best birthday getaway. It was so relaxing and great for all of us to hang out. 3 friends had tiki tents, one had an Airstream, and I had a Safari Tent and they were all amazing. Our outdoor kitchen had the most incredible view of the canyon and it was so easy to entertain there for a bbq dinner.
The next day we went to all the pools and had dinner in the cafe and it was delicious. The weekend was fantastic, and I absolutely LOVE Flying Flags! My friends had never been and now they all want to go back!

Our television list picture the first day and I was unable to reach anyone via text or phone. I left a message but got no response. I had to go to reception to let them know and ask for more coffee and towels. Only towels were delivered. Television was never repaired and when I check out today and let them know, staff was indifferent. I have stayed here in the past with no issues. I was not happy this trip. A lot of the amenities were closed off for a large group. They did call to see if we wanted to reschedule but we had a group of 20 meeting up to celebrate a milestone birthday.

Well, thank goodness they had something else. I decided the trailer option sounded fun this go around and the first one was BUSTED. If they ever slide you A-5, slide it right back unless you like musty out dated airstreams whos doors dont look.

A-6 was the next option, and thank goodness it was better (or at least expected since it actually looked like the pictures), but still... door was difficult to lock, hot water was not hot for long, so even a five minute shower needed to be rushed... ill probably just stick to the surf sack if its open or the Marriot if its not.

It was horrible. The campground is nice, the rental was horrible. We rented a vintage trailer airstream based on their pictures...not even close. They didn't even go thru and credit before we got there. Our door wouldn't close and had a huge gap on the door dude and a huge gap on the hinge side. None of the windows closed. My husband had to go outside and push them so I could latch them. The front "window" was not even glass it was plexiglass and all along the bottom was totally out of the track and was just flipping. We arrived at night so we couldn't see any of it. But it sure explained why we were so cold. No instrux for the heater/air. They also have a no electric scooters or motorcycles but we almost got run over by both the whole trip from kids not looking at all. I asked for a refund and have not heard from them yet and it's been 3 days since we checked out. BTW there is NO TRAILER that looks like the pictures..NONE. Our friends was just as bad. I will update my review after I find out what they are doing to make it right. Even 2 people at the front desk, one being Asst Mgr said they've been trying to tell them not to rent them out because they get complained. Totally FALSE ADVERTISING!!

We are big fans of Flying Flags, the resort is great for the family to be able to play around the entire place, the pools are well done, the food on site is delicious...however, the ability to work with large groups on a check in and accommodate one check in to another was sub par. We also booked the tent with pictures of a King Size bed, a couch, and bunk beds to find when we got into our Tent it was simply a King bed and a leather couch. This is great for the experience but we had to have our kids bunk with another family for the night. The pictures don't fit the description and for $260/night we thought we would be housing our kids as well.

Was our 2nd time staying here and we fell in love every time. This time we utilized the pool area. The hot tub was relaxing and the pool is perfect for a cold plunge. RV is very clean, safe, and comfortable. The uber into the village is not that bad.

We stayed in a Safari Tent and had to utilize the shared public restrooms. At every visit to the restroom there was an issue of some sort. The condition of the sinks is what bothered me the most. Crusted green mucus on the majority of sinks, every.single.time. I was gagging.
Paper towel machine not working, no running hot water in one specific shower, urine stench and crusted pee on one toilet and broken hanging towel fixtures at every turn.
Yes, it’s a public space, but this isn’t a park.
Have your maintenance team make regular runs to ensure cleanliness and function.

Another sad occurrence involved Emily at the front desk. Oh boy, was she rude. It was the morning of a time change and she would not provide us towels to dry off our kids at 11:40 am which is technically ten minutes after late checkout and within our usage of time considering the time change. She told my husband we had to leave the premises when the manger in fact later stated to us that we were welcomed to enjoy the amenities after check out time. What is it then? You ask us to leave or can we stay?

This staffer ruined our stay and our kids were nervous to swim after 11 am since we were treated like we were criminals. Flying Flags is awesome but not at the expense of your dignity.

First - hats off to the welcoming staff, they were great and help me navigate the check in... Unfortunately after that I would say it was rough - I upgraded to the wine cottage, but with its proximity to the highway, it is definitely a down grade... Coupled with the construction going on beside the unit I was in (607) that wasn't mentioned, and the WiFi (which didn't work), I wish I would have done a national park or surf cottage.

Stayed in the trailers and let me say it was an experience. False photos of the accommodations; the room was poorly maintained, we found old jewelry, uncovered totally unpainted/unfinished portions … the shower lacked any hot water and the front desk made excuses rather than solving the problem. The property itself seemed nice overall but the lack of care to facilities were apparent, stay at the trailers at your own risk!

Such a fun and cool campsite. It has everything! We stayed here after going wine tasting and the Airstream we stayed in was nice and spacious, we had our own outdoor space with an outdoor kitchen and patio with a fire pit. There’s a restaurant/bar next door to the site as well which was nice to hang out at and have a couple of drinks. Awesome place to stay when visiting the Solvang area.

The heat was way too high and everyone was suffocating during the night. We did not set it that high so it automatically changed during the night. This needs to be fixed. Also there were a lot of ants on the cottage. Especially kitchen.

The grounds are well kept. Our airstream A1 was cozy and clean with plenty of towels. There were cobwebs on the cieling and some spiders. There were anta on the vounter too. The door had a gap on the bottom.

Nice cozy place to stay if you don't like floor/outdoor tent camping. The cottage has a full kitchen, propane BBQ pit & nice little patio/deck area with seats. Heater/AC inside unit along with hot water. We had a small issue with the toilet and the front desk sent a maintenance person IMMEDIATELY. I honestly thought I'd be waiting hours. Will definitely be coming back again next year.

Yes, the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Unfortunately, the only thing for the pool they should have extra towels for going into the pool or different towels not the white ones to go into the pool, but they were very prompt in getting us extra towels when we asked for them

The tiki tent is not a good idea when there is a store about to come. It was a hot day in the valley but temperatures dropped to 45* at night. It was freezing. I can see this place being ideal for the summer.

All was well. Nice showers and lots of options for everyone to stay. Had some hiccups with the front staff and really wish they were more customer service friendly. Their “bed side manor” sucked. But as far as the site itself and the accommodations that was great. Very nicely located and beautiful property. We had 3 spots and wood like to bring a lot more people next time but would need some improvements with customer service staff at the front office. We spent 1500-2000k for 3 spots for 2 night and were treated very poorly from staff. Unfortunate considering the girl next to us fell into a hole and they were bringing her gifts and drooling all over her. They really should treat all customers with the same type of treatment.

Worst sleep of my life.

I think this could have been a great stay. The 101 kept us up all night and the big semi trucks shook our cabin. I went there to get some quiet time and sleep relief, but definitely not the case. Food was good at the little grill. Liked the pool.

I really like this property a lot. We stayed in the surfer cabin. It's not that big but it's lovely. I wouldn't recommend staying there with kids that were older than 14 if they're very tall. But for a small family of surfer cabin works. You can stand a wine country cabin if you need more space. I love that they have a grill and an outdoor area. It's such a fun place for kids because they can ride their bikes around the property you can use the pools. Highly recommend staying if you have a group but don't want to share a house with the group. You all can get your own tiny home and then hang out in the common areas.

Definitely GO TO FLYING FLAGS!

I have always wanted to stay at Flying Flags and I am so glad I made it happen. It's the coolest place - so many options of accommodations and so much to do when you get there! 4 pools, great sun lounges and cabanas, delicious food at the cafe and fun people everywhere. I loved it!

We love staying here and return every summer. Our Wine cabin this year (Riesling) had a broken front TV, the cable didn't work in the bedroom and the wifi is not great and had zero reception for the trip. The cabins could also use a full length mirror or second mirror to help free up the restroom for getting ready. Overall will be back but definitely needs a few improvements.

I stayed at the safari and I was surprised how clean the tents were. It also has AC and heter. There are bathrooms and showers right in front of the tents and they were recently renovated, it was beautiful, modern and super clean.

Didn’t stay, they overbooked. Offered a cabin for over $600. 2nd time this has happen, told Tasha the check in rep and she said”maybe you shouldn’t book with Expedia” comment I didn’t appreciate.
There should be better communications between Hotels.Com and Flying Flags.

We had a fantastic stay at the campground. The space was clean, cozy and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were daily activities available for those who wanted to participate , and everything was communicated through text message, which made it easy to stay in the loop. My family loved this place and we will definitely stay here again!

The cabin we stayed in was very simple but comfortable and quiet. There was a really nice supply of towels and essentials, that we really appreciated. The water pressure and shower enclosure was great. I was very impressed by all the amenities available here and of course the area has a lot to offer off property. I can highly recommend.
