My husband and I recently stayed at Kronborg Inn for an overnight wine tasting trip and were very happy with our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet. The pool was inviting, though we didn’t test it out this trip. We enjoyed a Danish pastry and tea/coffee in the morning before heading home. Good value for the cost!

My wife and I have stayed at the Kronberg inn many times in the past. It is an older property but rooms have always seemed clean. Beds are a little too soft for my bad back. The outside of the hotel/buildings are showing their age and really do need renovated with some fresh paint. Overall good hotel for the price we paid.

Experience was OK.
Cleanliness in the room was questionable. There was a big glob of hair and mold in the bathroom. We were the only balcony without cushions on the chairs. The pool was lovely, but the hot tub was rough and scratchy - pulled at our swimsuits. The upstairs walkway had some soft spots - worried I was going to fall through.

The top floor room had LOVELY vaulted ceilings, and the shower spout was very high - no problem for someone 6ft tall!

This was a convenient and serviceable place to stay in Solvang. It's on the edge of town, but everything is a short walk. There isn't anything particularly luxurious about the room, but it was fine. The property (staircases and common areas) could use some repairs and updates, but overall, it's a good value for the area.

I prefer this property over the others; if you want to be in the middle of Solvang that’s great, but it can be noisy and rambunctious when in season. This property is just a block away, but makes a world of difference for peace and quiet when you want it. Owners and staff are great, I highly recommend it!

Pros: room was clean, plenty of towels and outlets, beds were comfortable and comforters soft, front desk was great, pool and hot tub looked clean, fresh pastries from Olsen’s bakery Fri-Sun mornings!

Cons: these took away from the “excellent” experience but could be remedied easily: towels were kind of old and frayed, shower needs a non-slip mat (high tub edges would be hard for unstable people to maneuver and not slip), coffee accessories lacking decent amount of creamer, pool looks a bit old, artwork in rooms is terrible (get a danish scene to spruce it up!)

The room was spacious, which made the stay especially comfortable. The large bed was incredibly cozy, with great pillows, and the room also included convenient amenities like a microwave and mini fridge.

The bathroom featured a relaxing jacuzzi tub — perfect for unwinding after a long day of walking and exploring. The main street, filled with coffee shops, restaurants, and local stores, was within walking distance if you don’t mind about a 2-mile walk. It was close enough to enjoy everything easily, while still far enough away from the noise and commotion.

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout the stay.

Honestly, not a good value for the cost they are charging. Our first (yes first!) room was so dirty that there was a chicken bone behind the bathroom door and the room even had moldy food in the air conditioning unit- which also not so shockingly wasn't cooling the room. Our second room was better, but still dirty; hair in bathroom, trash around the bed and a crucifix necklace hanging on the back of the door. The towels are like sandpaper and the hotels got a distinct smell to it. Their saving grace honestly is the location and the fabulous employee they've got in Maria!

Even though the treatment from the receptionist during check-in was friendly, I have to give one single star to the hotel. The shower was disgusting. I found 7 long hairs on different spots in the bathtub and some light grey gooey substance in a line formation at the border of the shower. The next morning we went to leave our keys and to mention what happened to the receptionist but, even though the reception working hours sign says they are open at 7am, and we were there at 7:30 am, the reception was closed. We just left the keys in the designated spot and left looking forward to shower at our next destination.

It's a nice clean hotel. It could use some maintenance. Repaving the asphalt. Painting of the trim etc. I noticed a dangerous condition that I mentioned to the person at the desk.
The shower curtain does not fully extend down past the tube rim which causes water to spill onto the floor while showering. The bottom of the tub has no grip pad down and is very slippery when standing in the tub which could cause a person to slip and fall. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel.

Kronborg was a huge surprise. When I travel, I usually stay at Hiltons and Marriotts. Kronborg is not a five star hotel, so don't go expecting that. But the location is fantastic and the rooms are clean and well appointed. There's a fridge and Jacuzzi tub in most rooms, which is really nice. The main hot tub was around 102, which is plenty hot. There's also plenty of parking. We arrived late and checked out at 10am the next morning. We never saw a staff member other than housekeeping, but was really no issue. It's a very reasonably priced hotel, the walls are well-insulated for sound, showers have adjustable shower heads with good pressure, and the rooms are comfortable and fairly modern. I would have no problem staying again.
