My room was clean, quiet, and affordable. Unfortunately, the water pressure in my room was very bad. Not much more than a trickle from the shower or sink. Water did not turn off all the way in the shower.

They gave us a non-smoking room and when we went in it was full of cigarette smell, not cleaned and the fire alarm kept beeping. We had to leave immediately.

This place is several years past a remodel! It’s so gross, worn out, torn up. The rooms and everything outside of the building. It’s SO worn and torn whoever owns it should be embarrassed ! No matter how “cheap” of a rate you get you’re going to be sick! Stay ANYWHERE but here !!!

Like other Motel 6 properties, the rooms were clean. The location was very convenient and close to Solvang. We appreciate that dogs can stay free here. The grass area in front where you can let your dogs relieve themselves could be better maintained. We saw a disposable razor and a few other potentially harmful items tossed there. Other than that, the value for price was good.

Reserved 3 rooms. 1 room was filthy inside, dirt and counters were not cleaned out. 2nd room was ok. 3rd room had blood stains on comforter,leaking toilet, and electrical plugs that wouldn't work. When we notified front office, they were very rude and did not believe us. Eventually someone did go up to clean but we ended cleaning ourselves and were moved rooms for the room that was leaking. At end of stay, manager was aggravated at my wife and said \"she had heard about us\". After we had mentioned that we needed to talk to her about our stay. Beautiful area to stay at. The price was very affordable. Just know that you get what you pay for.

Loved that it’s well-lit at night. Close to restaurants. Felt safe throughout our stay. Wished there was a microwave inside the room though. Also, there was no hair dryer in the room, but the front desk happily provided me one to borrow during my stay. Nice and quiet during the night for most of the time we were there. Parking was easy. Our room was right beside the housekeeping washroom so in the AM till afternoon, it was loud and the wall shooked. We would probably stay here again in the future, but I’ll request a different room.

5 stars is for the friendly and welcoming front desk staff, This is great Motel 6 in Buellton, clean, simple, working AC and a one block walk to Albertsons and shopping. Please put a camera on the back stairs. 1 mile drive to River View park which is great for dogs and kids, jogging, walking paths River View has large botanical garden with a stream, bathrooms and shady seating.

You know those motels in movies where you have a feeling you'll get stabbed at any moment? Yeah, this is the one.

-Cleanliness-
I had to ask for a room change because the first one smelled like sewage. The next one was filthy, every sheet smelled like sweat, there was dirt all over the floor, the toilet looked like it hasnt been cleaned in a month and the shower looks like it wasn't cleaned either. I suppose they moved me to a room that wasn't completely turned over.

-Amenities-
Not like I would have used it, but the pool was dirty and the tables had mold growing on them.

-Staff-
Staff was really nice and took care of a room change promptly. They also had another person tell them the same thing about the sewage and they helped her out too

If I wasn't driving all night and really needed a place to stay, I would have asked to get my money back. I ended up taking my sleeping bag from my car and laying it on top of the bed to sleep. When morning came, I couldn't wait to get out of there, I didn't even use the shower.

Would not recommend. It wasn't even cheap.

Beds were comfortable and got a good night's sleep. Cleaning staff needs improvement as the toilet was dirty and wet towels left in bath. No coffee maker or microwave. Only bar soap provided -No shampoo. Its basic but that is likely why the cost is lower than others. A lot of places to eat, get coffee, and food nearby.

This property served our purpose for the night. It was practical and no frills. There was no refrigerator, the bathroom seemed clean but the shower liner had seen better days. The bed was decent and we slept well.

There was no hot tub, as advertised. Pool was cold. Hair in bathroom, no soap, sheets were not changed, no breakfast just some weak coffee, No coffee machine or microwave in room, even though we upgraded from the original reservation and paid extra. EXTREMELY DISCOURAGING. Hotels.com should reimburse me, it was awful!

Solvang on a budget, baby! This place is NO frills: no fridge, microwave or shampoo in the room (although there was a communal microwave guests could use) and the bathroom looked *and* smelled like a public swimming pool shower room in the 70's. But the beds were comfy, the front desk attendant was friendly, and the price was right. It's less than a 5-minute drive to the center of adorable Solvang. And as always, we love that dogs stay free. If you're looking to do Solvang on a budget and will be spending limited time at the motel itself, this is the place for you.

The hotel needs updating! No elevators so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Walls in bathroom had cracks, there were no travel size complimentary items. Had a room on second floor and the staff at front desk said if you need to use an iron and ironing board you can always come down to get it from the check-in counter. That was a no! No hair dryer or mini fridge either. The bedding was cheap and there were rolled up used socks under one of the bed bases from a past guess. Good job housekeeping. They have an ice machine a microwave and a vending machine downstairs in a room by the check in counter. Honestly this was a last resort since we booked late and with Valentine’s Day that weekend and Presidents Day that Monday, everything was sold out. I gave two stars for this review since the staff at check in was friendly and the location was nice. If given the choice I would not stay here again.

The room was clean, but they need to take care of their bathroom. The knob was not in the tub is out of it and the toilet has a lot of calcium buildup and there was a cockroach on the table. I know it was raining hard so we weren’t able to go through the front door because it was broken I guess and water must’ve been leaking so it wasn’t a great experience but at least we had a place to stay.

I accidentally left my brand new phone at the hotel I was called the same day we checked out but I was already back in Lompoc and needed to get to work so I couldn't go back. I got busy with school and work and wasn't able to get back there. I called on 2/5/26 when I had a chance to go back. I called just to make sure they still hady brand new phone but when I called o was told that they did not havey phone and had no idea what I was talking about. I told them that the lady manager called me about my phone and I wasn't able to get back till then. Spoke to the general manager and he informed me that he didn't know what I was talking about eather. I told them that phones don't just disappear and someone has my phone he told me to call the police. So I did and the officer informed me that the general manager did know what I was talking about and the \"disposed\" of my brand new phone.i asked them what was I supposed to do and I was told to take them to court. So my suggestion to anyone that stays there is to make sure you have everything you need or want because if you leave anything that is worth any amount of money the might just \"disposed\" of it for you. Which I highly dought they did it was a brand new phone that wasn't even 3 days old. I mean who would dosose of something like that? Probably ended up in someone s pocket instead. Im actually willing to bet it did.

The room is neglected, it’s dirty and the bathroom fan doesn’t work, the towels are so thin, we wanted to swim but the swimming pool is dirty as well. I booked for three nights, I checked out the 2nd day at 12:00 PM and they didn’t even want to give me any refund for early checkout. I will not return to this place again and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Clean room, comfortable bed, efficient check in with nice staff all around, good room price, good wifi and a/c and heat--good night's sleep. Plenty of eating across street. Ample parking. Coffee provided is decent. Just know no shampoo/toiletries, hair dryer or fridge/microwave provided, rooms are on small side but are fine. There is some street noise but put the fan on and it muffles outside noise. Best value in SY Valley if you are on a budget, have stayed in other lower priced hotels in the area and there is no need to spend more for a night or two's sleep. Save your $$.
