Good stay, would go again. Easy access to Elizabeth line but there's not much else in the immediate area in terms of restaurants and bars. So it's a good job the hotel restaurant and bar is great! Had a lovely meal although it was on the pricey side, nice cocktails too.

Room was small but comfy, very clean and nice bathroom and products.

Would have been good if there were hot drinks and water in the room, you have to go into a separate room down the hallway for hot drinks, and there's no milk. Water is £1.50.

Other than that, it's a nice hotel and would stay again.

Room is clean and freshly decorated. The main thing that could be improved is the lighting! The lighting in the bathroom is harsh, at an angle which is useless for looking in the mirror. The lighting in the bedroom is slightly better but still harsh.

This tucked away hotel was such an amazing experience. The staff were super amazing during my entire stay specifically Olena. The hotel is super clean and the bed is super comfortable and cozy. The showers are nice and clean. The hotel has nice touches that I never experienced in America that make it super cute. There is an ironing room on the 3rd floor which is brilliant and free coffee stations are located on each floor. The second floor has an amazing library/quiet room to work. The 4th floor has a gym and hot tub. The hotel is located within walking distance of the whitechapel train station. The hotel has a nice restaurant \"Mr. White's English Coffee that we had a great dinner at. The staff were just as wonderful. A waitress \"Nicoletti\" not sure of spelling was super nice and cute and did an American accent as a girl named \"Tiffany\" hilarious.

Full transparency, when I arrived at night, I was a little skeptical because it felt like the Bronz or Queens but the area is super safe and everyone was very nice. Its was about a 20 minute walk to Tower Bridge which is a must see.

If you are a first time visitor, I would do the bus tours on the first day to get a feel of the areas. Borough Market and Camden Market are a must.

I cannot express enough how much I hated my stay here. I have no idea how this place gets a 4+ star review or how it is considered a 4-star hotel.
It is on a very loud and dirty street, no parking, loud restaurant and beyond poorly designed tiny rooms.
The WORST part was the bathroom / shower. The shower is the bathroom with no barrier, so the entire bathroom is wet - ALL of it. I had standing water for 2 days from 1 shower. It doesn't dry because the light has to be on and it's glass enclosed. And they have the door key gives you power thing so the fan can't run while you are gone. There was mold everywhere.
And to add insult, they don't even give you a bottle of water in your room. You have to buy it from a vending machine.
For what they charge a night this should all be criminal. I've stayed at hostels with shared bathrooms that felt were nicer and felt safer than this hellhole.

While the room was lovely - clean and wonderful, and the front desk staff were amazing - the breakfast was utterly bonkers.

We came down at around 9:30 on Saturday - a time when I would expect Breakfast service to be in full swing. There were maybe twenty-twentfive covers and two members of staff on.

Whilst both members of staff were curteous, there was a brusqueness to their service that, on its own, would have been fine - but coupled with no coffee left in the filter machine, no clean mugs, three sad pastries, and warm apple juice on a sad little trestle table in the corner of the restaurant it left a distinctly sour taste in my mouth.

Look, I get it. No one wants to be at work on a sad saturday morning in december, but having to ask for cutlery multiple times, and a glass for the blood temp apple juice felt a stretch too far, to be honest. I've had better breakfasts in road side Ibises. So the be in a Breakfast restaurant of a hotel that's supposedly Marco Pierre White - I think that's lowkey embarassino.

All I really wanted was a cup of coffee, a hot one. I wanted some oat milk, and a pastry - and I think the mini bake in the oven pastries from Lidl on offer are also a bit embarassing too.

Additionally, the wait staff were pretty glacial - which, for a resto with like 25 people in it, most of whom are serving themselves, seems a bit rich!

I booked a loft room thinking it was better than a standard room from the description and photos. When we arrived the room was a corner room, you could only get into the bed from one side and there as little space.

The room was nice and clean, and really nice products (shampoo/shower gel)
The shower was a wet room with the toilet as well, which made it a tad uncomfortable after having the shower, it didn’t drain away very quickly, as I found out in socks.
The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location is great, awesome local market round the corner, which lots of various Asian food, which smelt unbelievable walking through, arguably, walking around the area was the safest I’ve felt in London, it wasn’t until we were on the tube, and across from the people attending the right wing march, that we fled uncomfortable. Go figure.
Anyway I’d absolutely a stay here, the only gripe was the wet room, but there really isn’t much they can do about that :)

Wow what a beautiful boutique hotel. The bed was huge and very comfortable, had a great night sleep, the room had air conditioning so the temperature was always nice. Great wet room shower including all top quality body and shampoo/conditioner. The food, we had breakfast and dinner was spectacular, cooked perfectly. All the staff were excellent, professional, very friendly and helpful. The hotel including rooms and all areas is beautiful, all work, design and style are of a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying there. Thank you to all for making our stay so very enjoyable. Look forward to coming back. Access around London is very easy the hotel is about 5 min walk from Whitechapel station, there is a huge market outside the station.

£50 is instantly taken from your account on arrival. Unfortunately you are obviously not trusted. I am not sure why this is taken, with my work I stay in many hotels and it is only certain hotels in London who do this.

No kettle in the room either, again it is a London thing. You need to venture out of your room to get a hot drink in a paper cup.

If people steal things then the good customers should not be punished with £50 deposits and no kettles.

I left yesterday and still have not received my £50 back, yet it was taken out of my account Instantly.

The hotel is fine apart from the above

Very nice hotel close to Tower bridge (15-20 minutes walk) The rooms are nice, pretty new but small. We had a Warehouse k, and barely had enough space to put our suitcase. However, they are clean and modern, and was what we needed for our London visit.
The breakfast is included and very good
The staff is very friendly.
The hotel is also walking distance from the metro, but it is not the nicest neighbourhood.

The view killed it for me

We booked this trip as an anniversary experience we decided to go for the most expensive room which had on paper a beautiful little balcony, however on check in the room had an atrocious view from the balcony looking into a derelict building. I wouldn’t have minded if there was a price difference but there wasn’t. The room itself was very modern and arty, although the bed was a little hard. I find it difficult to criticise as the area is clearly being gentrified but I was really disappointed with what I got for nearly £300

There was no where to unpack my beginnings, and only 3 hangers in the room. I had to literally live out of ny suitcase for 4 days. And just no room anenities to do anything. I understand how they are trying to sace space and money BUT having one iron and ironing board for the entire hotel to use is a bit rediculous. No tea kettle in the room!!!! Its London for crying out loud. Coffee and tea station on each floor with only instant cofee.

Rooms are small and do not have anywhere to really store tour clothes. All there had was 5 hangers and no drawers. The bathroom also had nowhere to put shampoo and orher shower necessities.

Me and my husband stayed for 1-night in the hot tub room 402. The room is very small and basic but has everything you need. The hot tub on the roof was over lovely however, the best view is covered by a large grey panel. The hot tub didn’t all work, which I would have expected for the price we paid for the room for 1-night. Check-in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. As a stay for one-night it was great but not for any longer.

Great fit out, although some issues with the bathroom setup. The staff while sort of friendly need a lot more training in the basics of hospitality, the breakfast offering needs work. The location in Whitechapel for those not familiar with it is an interesting area that is quite stark when you arrive at Whitechapel station. The amenities in Whitechapel especially the supermarkets leave a lot to be desired, but a short distance away about 1km is Shoreditch/Algate which has some of London best up and coming restaurants.

It's a good experience overall. The staff are excellent, the location is great, the rooms are well designed and the integral shower and facilities are very modern and efficient. On the downside the bedrooms are two warm and there are no tea/coffee making facilities altho there are free coffee and tea machines on each floor. The in house restaurant is ok altho I find the menu too limited and most options very expensive as are the drinks at the bar. The room cost are very variable and most weeks it is too costly for me to stay on my limited budget so I opt for a Travelodge instead. Overall tho well deserving of 4+ stars.

The New Road is a great little hotel in a good location, about a 5 minute walk from Whitechapel tube station, which connects to the Elizabeth Line. The area itself is a rich multicultural part of the city with many different types of restaurants, including Ethiopian, Persian and Bangladeshi. It's also only a short walk (20 mins) to Spitalfields market and Brick Lane, where you can get an evening wider range of food.

The room I stayed in, a Warehouse K, was small, but clean and very comfy. The air con was great and the windows opened too. The room facing the back was quiet and we slept well. The bar was good, and the two for £15 on cocktails was a good deal. We didn't eat there so can't comment on food.

The downsides are the room amenities. There are 3 hangers for clothes and that's all. There are no shelves or drawers, so we lived out of our suitcases for two days. There's no kettle, and the free tea and coffee available on each floor in a games room or Library area is pretty awful stuff from a machine. Finally, the staff. While they work hard, they're just not that friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was an inconvenience on more than one occasion!

That said, this wouldn't deter me as the positives, especially if the hotel is at a good price, far outweigh the negatives.

Shame about the staff!

Modern, comfortable and clean. Staff training needed especially on reception. Hardly warm and attentive. When delivery man is more important than client checking in, you know you have a problem. Interaction was indifferent. Restaurant served hot tasty food but spoiled by overly loud waiting staff jabbering on about their social lives.

I don't usually stay in the Whitechapel area but I thought I'd give it a try. I love the modern feel and yet staying true to the roots of the former textile factory. Great staff and service. Love the Yoga rooftop facility - plus each floor has coffee machines. I'll definitely stay again.

Ok if you don’t mind constant noise

The hotel itself was lovely, as were the staff however the rooms are extremely poorly sound insulated from not only other rooms but the outside too. It was noisy… Constantly. All day, all night. And a road cleaner comes at 1am every day and it sounds like you’re going to be abducted by aliens.

I stayed 3 night ( Sun-Wed ) In Warehouse K was nice and quite a bit cold one night but there was a electric radiator in the room so that solved the problem.
Very friendly reception staff specially Olena who checked me in and checked me out , also stored my luggage after the check out as I needed a bit more time to see the Tower Bridge.
The area is also perfect you have busses that i recommend rather then going underground , for the views , and 10 min walk to centre, I recommend you take it early in the morning as traffic will get really busy or walk its not far.

Quirky and cozy hotel is a great find.

A great find. The quirky and cozy hotel close to the Whitechapel tube station made a great base for exploring the city. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was a good size - unlike some of the branded budget hotels I have stayed in recently - and the bed was comfortable. The only minor complaint is I missed having a kettle in my room - the tea/coffee machine on my floor was out of order making it less convenient. I can also understand concerns about the frosted glass panels around the toilet wouldn't offer much privacy when sharing a room. Overall, I am very happy with my stay and will book again next time I'm in London.

Request for Compensation Due to Misleading Informa

I stayed in room 102 at your hotel last night. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding misleading information on your website and the unsatisfactory experience I had during my stay.

I specifically chose your hotel based on the claim that the room would be soundproofed, which was a major factor in my booking decision. However, this information turned out to be completely false. Both my wife and I were unable to sleep due to the lack of sound insulation in the room. Throughout the night, we were disturbed by the sounds of ambulances passing by, car alarms going off, and conversations from people walking outside, all of which made it impossible for us to rest.

As a result, I feel that I wasted £120 on a room that did not meet the basic standards I expected. This not only ruined our night’s sleep but also impacted our plans for the following day, as we were too exhausted to carry out our activities.

Considering the significant inconvenience caused, I believe it is only fair to request compensation for the distress and poor experience I endured.
I would appreciate it if you could offer a resolution that reflects the disappointing nature of this stay.

I booked a room and it was on the 2nd floor. Quite retro loft apartment chic. Small, but well arranged. Comfy bed, but way too much road noise from 11pm to 1am. I set my phone to play some ‘sea sounds’ that almost covered the noise.

Check in was good, room requests good, no kettle or fridge in the room but hot water and complimentary instant tea, coffee and hot chocolate on each level.

I'd say the room is 85 percent there, boxing in around the window blinds would create a perfect black out, dimmerable lighting and a lamp would be ideal. Aircon was randomly noisy.

The usual bright flashing smoke detectors and emergency lighting.

The check out process was good; didn't check out breakfast or bar but looks nice.

For the price point, great hotel nothing stand out.

Really friendly staff.Khadija was really kind & showed me some different room types as i was consideribg a different room for next time.

Great hotel and staff. 1.5 blocks from the Whitechapel tube station. Wonderful local restaurants and pubs.

I had stated I had a 1 year and required a cot but nothing and they couldn’t accommodate baby ended up in our double bed!!!! Not safe at all

Overall a good stay.
Felt the bar area could have been cleaner - quite a few staff were on but all tables had empty glasses and I didn’t feel staff were that friendly.
Breakfast was nice.
Room as expected and bed very comfy.
Hotel close to tube station and fairly central.
Reception staff helpful.
