I love the convenience of extended stay hotels because I can make my own meals instead of having to eat out or eat food from the hotel that I may not like or can't eat. However, more cons than pros this time... DON'T make your guests pay for dishes! I've stayed at extended stays that provide them for you with no problems. Stop being greedy! Also check in staff wasn't the talkative type I guess. Just get to the point and move on attitude. Would have also been nice to know at check in that your room door automatically locks you out at 10am!!! Seriously? I've never stayed anywhere that does this, even an extended stay. I had to go out of my way to get the key to work again. If I knew this prior I could have had my son stay in the room to make sure I could get back in after going to get the luggage cart! A hook on the back of the bathroom door would be extremely helpful! How can you not have something so simple? Seriously, no hairdryer either? Whether people use them or not, the less I have to pack and remember, the better. Never stayed at any hotel that didn't provide one; it's just standard! So, evidently this extended stay has had problems with people overstaying their welcome/extended stay???? So ya'll don't provide hardly ANY conveniences that your guests need while there for longer periods of time? Then DON'T BOTHER BEING AN EXTENDED STAY! It's the bare minimum here people! No reason ya'll can't keep the standards.

While the room itself was okay, the overall experience fell short. Upon check-in, there was a weird, noticeable smell in the room that wasn't very welcoming.
The biggest issue, however, was the kitchen. It features an induction stovetop, but the utensils provided were only enough for one person. To make matters worse, it was incredibly difficult to find a proper pan that was actually induction-compatible to cook a meal.

Last minute they changed my reservation because it was “unavailable”. I booked a double queen suite with kitchenware included which is apparently the same price as a single queen suite with no kitchenware included. I’ve stayed at many hotels and I’ve always been able to get a receipt upon checkout so I don’t understand why I wasn’t able to this time. If you are going to book, don’t book through Expedia because their page needs to be updated and shows false information.

I would not stay here again. While the room was clean, it was clearly in need of maintenance. The wall near the window needed repair, and one of the kitchen drawers would not close properly.

The walls were extremely thin — I could clearly hear snoring from the room next door throughout the night. The beds were also not very comfortable, and the shower had almost no water pressure. In addition, the room felt unusually dry, which made it difficult for me to breathe comfortably at night.

What was most disappointing, however, was witnessing staff members being openly rude and disrespectful toward another employee. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and left a very negative impression.

Overall, I cannot honestly recommend this property, especially for anyone planning an extended stay.

I have stayed here before without any troubles. But, this was an important trip and I booked it two months in advance. The check in process took 45 minutes. The guy checking us in (Chris) gets five stars, but the management of this hotel gets NEGATIVE stars.
He spent his time with the supervisor arguing to find us a room. The hotel was overbooked and he was told to tell us to find a different hotel. He argued with the boss to get one cleaned for us to use.
Management does not know what “reservation” means. I was grateful that Chris was able to get us in. The manager needs to know that we will not be staying there again. You overbooked yourself out of a customer that pays two months in advance.

Stayed here for just a short time so didn't need to use laundry facilities, etc.

Pros: In better condition than other places we have stayed in a similar price range. Nothing was worn or old (although a few handles were loose). The towels were impressively large and fluffy, and staff gave us an extra one, which was very nice. The fridge was sparkling clean and we were given a freshly cleaned shower curtain without asking. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons: beds are very squishy, so if you need a firm mattress, this might be a problem. TV has limited number of channels and our room smelled like cigarettes, as most rooms in long-term places seem to do.

When I booked the room, it was because there was an advertised stove. The listing said I could get a room with pots/pans or bring my own. I brought my own but when I got up early Saturday morning to cook breakfast, the stove said E1. I called the front desk and was told I needed induction pans. I questioned if they had some, I was told to call back ar normal hours but the last time they checked, there were none. This was at 5:30a because we had somewhere to be at 7:30a. When we left at 7:30, the desk was covered. I came back about 8a and the desk was sill closed. When I left again at 11:30a; I asked about pots and pans, my room number was noted and the gentleman said he would check. I never received an answer. It was not advertised that induction pans were requires. There were also four people, three males and one female sleeping in the lobby when I left this morning at 7:15a. The front desk was still covered and closed. I wasted my money to stay somewhere where I could not use the amenities as advertised and no one assisted with trying to obtain pots/pans.

I found myself in Winston-Salem unexpectedly.
I searched all evening for a pet friendly hotel because we were traveling with our dogs.
This was the only place with availability. I didn't know there was a race downtown the following morning and that is why all the places were full.
I was exhausted by the time I reached the Woodside and could not believe my situation when I arrived.
There were 10-15 teens in the parking lot, cursing and cutting up at 9:30 pm. When I entered the front foyer the lobby was locked and a roll down metal gate was secured behind the counter.
The phone on the wall said to call 500 for assistance if the lobby was closed. The first time it was busy, the next two times I called there was no answer, my fourth attempt brought someone through the door with the phone ringing on his hip.
By the time he opened the lobby, rolled up the gate and handed me the key I was considering sleeping in my car.
I drove around back to avoid all the ruckus in the front only to find that you could not enter the back door, only the doors at either end of the building. Even in the dark I could see the dog poop everywhere, in the grass, in the rock borders, it was disgusting.
We climbed the stairs to avoid everyone gathered in the area of the elevators.
Uncomfortable bed, thin and small towels, no sleep due to slamming doors and then pounding on the door next door and yelling at 4 am. I was up and out of there by 6:30 and would never stay here again! Worst experience EVER

I would definitely not recommend this place though the hotel room was very clean inside but most of the guests I guess due to the area that it was in seemed very ghetto and throughout the night you smell a hint of marijuana throughout the Halls, loud talking at 12:00 1:00 at night ,dogs barking and people hanging outside of the hotel in the parking lots .there were some people in the cars doing some things that I don't even want to imagine ,probably doing drugs or something not really sure and it just looked so dirty on the outside around the dumpster area was very filthy with trash bags all around ,no staff on duty most of the time overnight no staff at all couldn't even check out properly for no one was there at the front desk so definitely won't recommend this place if I would have known ahead of time I would have never came.

The room was assembled horribly. The sheets had stains on them upin arrival. There was horrible front desk service from all of the employees. Understaffed, no mirror in the room outside the bathroom. A kitchenette with no utensils or washing soaps. I was vedy much misled by the photos on the website & would not refer anyone to stay at this property. Also the property looks like a wast site out front. Our keys also stopped working well before we checked out. As a concerned customer.....please improve on those things. As well as adding a table in the living area.

Was disappointed in this room. It advertised as a kitchenette. I called as they did not have utensils, they said I could purchasebsome from them, so I brought my own to cook breakfast for my family. Then at 6 am the range would not work, turned pn but got constabt error message and never got hot. I had to go out and spend $50 for breakfast for the family. Will not go back to this location. For me it was false asvertising. I would like to get a credit for the inconenience. When we left the front desk was locked down. They do not have manned front desk was constantly closed. Also no tissues just 1/2 role of toilet paper, hard as heck, with 4 people in the room. Thank you

The staff was friendly, however, the hotel is a hangout place for allegedly suspected criminal activity, in my opinion. The rooms are newly renovated, however the cleanliness of the rooms are not. I will say, upon noticing the dirty bedding and clogged shower, the staff responded quickly to resolve the matters. The parking lot is a dumping ground. Hallways smelled of smoke.

I selected this property as a last minute decision to attend a college football game. The rate was reasonable and only a $10 a night pet fee. This was my first stay and last stay at this property.

The hotel looks new on the outside, but inside looked worn with dings in the wall paint and stains on the floor. The staff was courteous and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed being able to fix simple meals in the kitchenette. We were uncomfortable in the parking lot with random people hanging out in their cars. We also had a homeless person try to enter the hotel behind us on our key card. Close to the hospital, but still not the best neighborhood. We'll stay somewhere else next time we come to Winston Salem.

My experience was not as good as I had expected from my past stays with the WoodSpring Suites in other locations. The staff were impeccably friendly but the stay was average. Needing to request a new remote for my room after being unable to locate one upon checkin, and finding that the shower pressure was unfortunately not the stereotypical \"hotel shower\" experience.

Otherwise i enjoyed my stay, the room was cozy, easily adjustable to comfy temps, and the bed was very comfortable.

I was disappointed with this hotel. But that may have been my fault. I was expecting g a hotel and got instead a long term stay type of place. It seemed clean, but felt dirty. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I'm used to. Amenities were available but you had to go down to the desk and ask for them ( only 2 pillows on a queen bed, one towel and one washcloth per person etc). When our toilet broke at 11pm and they couldn't fix it and there were no other rooms a aila le, we decided to go to a holiday inn

Chris & Sherry the manager were the best of everyone. Nobody is friendly except for Chris and Sherry the manager. And the rest of them seemed very disinterested but Chris was very interested in creating an environment of great service. Sherry called me up as soon as she got word the accessible room I accidentally had chosen via Expedia, was under maitenance. Sherry seems like the type of leader who treats her team fairly, so the others need to get it goer her with seeming like they want to have great customer service, or don’t work there.
