The facility was decorated beautifully for the holidays but hotel is dated and while banquet rooms appear updated, the hotel rooms are very worn and aged. The first floor rooms have a dehumidifier to reduce moisture. Second floor rooms require taking the steps as no elevator. The hotel needs upfitting to current standards. Great location to food and shopping.

Beautiful fresh cooked (not preheated) breakfast buffet with table service for coffee and juice served on crisp white tablecloths. Believe all the positive reviews you have read about this property! Staff was kind and friendly upon arrival! Yes, the property has been around awhile and there are some noticeably dated things but our room was exceptionally clean and that to me was the most important thing! Complimentary breakfast isn’t your usual Continental, waffle maker etc. It was an American breakfast, eggs, bacon/sausage, grits, potatoes, biscuits, fresh fruit with coffee at your table poured out by an attentive attendant. It was reasonably priced, right off I-40, convenient for what we needed. Safe and quiet, good for our overnight stay!

This hotel is old and in need of renovation. The room we had was dark and depressing. Primary color scheme was
\"brown!\" Clerks were apathetic; barely greeting us when we arrived and not smiling. Obviously not a great place to work. The only staff that were smiling and helpful were the cleaning staff. Would never recommend or stay here again.

Looks like a large older hotel with some renovation. Room clean.Linens clean.
Had dehumidifier in room that cut on and off through night. Temperature regulation was difficult and heat/ air conditioning cut on and off frequently and it’s loud. A/C fanned air directly toward bed. Thus alternating between too warm and too cold.

Pack breakfast was a joke. Oatmeal to warm up with hot water in room. Tiny packet of peach’s and a cracker. Didn’t eat any of it.

Wish I had stayed elsewhere.

This is a great older hotel with a lot of character. I personally love the older hotels that are maintained well like this one. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The hotel has acquit parking. Not something I usually say about the newer styles.

Was very quiet to be a large hotel. Had a really nice field to it at the restaurant. However, the restaurant did produce the smell of food through the hallways. Somewhat smelt like a hospital during meal time. The only complaint was the lady at the front desk was a bit disgruntled. She didn’t seem to enjoy her job, and did not want to go any distance to help you. Maybe it’s just her personality? Overall would definitely stay here again. The rates are great for what you get.

A hidden gem?

This hotel was amazingly affordable and at the price was well beyond expectations. The lobby is Grand and gives you a special feel when you walk in. The rooms were darn near spotless and other than an older shower and bath was very comfortable and again, very very clean. I will absolutely stay here again. The staff was very friendly at all times and made you feel at home. Probably the best hotel experience I have had in years.

Great stay. Friendly staff at check in. It was very quiet around the immediate hotel. Close (walking distance) to a shopping center. The mattress decent, but a little “squish” or spongy feeling. It was not firm. Pillows are terrible. I had to use all of them to get comfortable. Looks to be an older property, so it wasn’t updated in any way. Plenty of towels and soaps in the bathroom. The AC worked perfectly. No USB ports anywhere in the room. That could be updated.

Breakfast included. It tastes okay. Nothing spectacular. HOWEVER, unable to bring back to your room and eat privately without having to pay extra. Ridiculous. There’s got to be a way that they can offer guests the ability to bring food to their room without having to charge. The “wait staff” was extremely unpleasant.

At check out, the receptionist was on a personal phone call and tried to check me out at the same time. Kind of off-putting to have to listen to someone’s personal call. Very unprofessiona.

This is a fema welfare MOTEL, not a decent, inexpensive hotel. Nothing went right from the beginning. I am assuming that we were put in the 3 rd party paying with our hard earned money room. Across from the laundry area where all the activities happen throughout the day. Door to room was stuck more times than it opened. Tried to get help at front desk. The person in charge for the evening was in her car???
Had requested a handicap room. Wouldn't move us and my husband can't step up for a shower. Asked 2 times and was told the handicap room was \"having pictures \" taken in them.
It is definitely definitely not family friendly. A lot of construction workers/ fema/ welfare people.
Never ever again. Beware.......

Loved everything about our stay with the exception of checkout. I got a text at 8am asking us when we were checking out 🙄 Checkout is at 11am. At 10:30 am, my husband came back to the room to get me after loading the truck and the key card for our room had already been deactivated. He couldnt get back in the building or the room. The lady at the front desk acted like she was aggravated when my husband went to the front desk to ask why his key card was deactivated already. The lady at check in was lovely, but our checkout experience was definitely not.

They were super friendly and clean. I’d only say a few things. Who uses bar soap anymore? Also, for such a nice place I was put off by the cheap looking shower mat. I didn’t like parking on the back of the building because it was dark. I didn’t like their restaurant was closed. Breakfast on the go wasnt anything to brag about. Especially when the super 8 in front of them has waffles and cereal. I got the room for $47.50. Thought I might have to stay another night, now it’s like $75. They had an icream cooler that was empty and a Coke cooler with no Coke. Also, there is no mention of a laundry room.

Always a great stay!

We always stay here when in the area and never disappointed. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly an even remembers us. The included breakfast is worth 1/2 the price of the room. And restaurant on site after a long day is awesome. Highly recommend

Staff was nice , room was good size for a suite and had 2 bathrooms with showers. Definitely a plus with 3 adults and 3 kids. Everything you need is right across from hotel. I recommend Lowe’s grocery store for great coffee spot, muffins that are delish, and any food or other items you need.
