Wonderful apartment complex! The staff were really lovely and the apartment was fantastic. We had a two bedroom sea and mountain view apartment near the central reception. The apartment was a little tired but otherwise really lovely and luxurious. For the money we were very happy with the apartment, it's one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in Spain/Tenerife. We opted for breakfast included as it wasn't much per person and the offering and timings were good. It did get very busy at times but wasn't an issue, we always found a table and although plates and other bits occasionally ran out it was still very good value for money.
We stayed with our 9 month old baby and were provided with everything we needed. A decent safe travel cot for sleeping, including a firm flat waterproof mattress, a high chair and baby bath.
We had three balconies in total and a lovely sunken living room. The apartment also had two bathrooms which was great when staying with another couple for privacy.
The kitchenette was actually a fully fledged kitchen with full oven, hob, microwave and dill fridge freezer. Everything we needed was in the apartment including hairdryers, iron and smart TV.
Although some parts were tired it was clean and fully functioning.
The windows and doors weren't double glazed so the entertainment could be quite loud as we were by the main pool but this was always finished by 10pm, it was only really apparent as we have an infant who goes to bed earlier than most.

Ons Hollywood Mirage has a superb and welcoming staff that provides excellent service. The food and amenities are great. I stayed in both the one bedroom apartment, which I really loved, and a studio apartment; both were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near the top of a mountain. Within minutes, I would walk along the mountain’s path. My balcony provided spectacular views of Los Cristiano’s coastline.

great apartment for a weekend away. very clean with toiletries and towels. close to good bars and restaurants but at top of steep hill. so not good for anyone who has trouble walking. great stay for us though and we will be back.

Complex and rooms were very clean, breakfast was ok..but could have been a lot hotter. Hotel is about 20 minute walk to beach downhill....return journey is a lot longer and more difficult. Not suitable for people with restricted mobility. Lovely restaurant opposite...but no others within very short distance

Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Maintenance teams were always pro active to keep on top of any defects which I liked. 3 pools. Only a 5 min walk up the hill from the main Los Cristinaos nightlife so it’s not that big a deal like some people have complained about. Would I go back ? Absolutely

At this time of year people go to Tenerife to get some sun not to be sold tickets for an outside dinner and where a fleece it was so much better when it was inside and you had a proper restaurant
Also the sun beds were always put away at night in rows and very tidy now they are left all over the place people are smoking by the pool and drinking from glass bottles and using the white towels from the room to put on there sun beds I’m sorry to say that we will not return next year

The room was spacious and clean, however right on the road where noisy trucks pass by. The reception is not aware of the fact the hotel charges you a deposit fee of a certain sum of euros ( in your local currency) at check in. When they asked for my card at check in, I was assured I woint be charged . The charge appeared on my account a week after check in and nobody in the hotel could explain it. I contacted Expedia and they confirmed. I hope that charge would be remittted soon.

3rd time I've stayed here this year. Still good but definitely feel that standards are slipping. Most units are in need of maintenance and updating. We stayed in 3430 and the balcony door would not lock shut and the bathroom door caught on the floor. Lots of broken tiles in apartment and around pool area.

The hotel is huge and beautiful in all white,great Wi-Fi, 3 pools,i love that the hotel sit on a slight slopes which forces me now to get back in the gym,the walk about is great exercise getting back up.straff are friendly and helpful, i would recommend and i would go back again. I nearly for got the beach is 19 min walk,but if you don't want to walk in that sun which is hottt they do a shuttle every hour which start at 10:15.food is great and the bed is firm.

Although it’s a 25 min walk to the front the taxis are quick and inexpensive. There were 6 of us and there are plenty of 6 seaters so this was a pleasant surprise. Pool is great. Sunbed frenzy every morning but in school holidays we decided to just join in and accept this. Had to wait in a queue from 8am until 9am to ensure a sunbed in school holiday. Self catering but well equipped. Very comfortable bed, good and powerful shower and large terrace with a sea view. Could not fault this trip. Only wish would be that it was closer to the seafront and bars but I would 100% stay here again. We didn’t try the food. Drinks were average prices €3.50 pint of beer. Lovely heated pool.

The hotel is very dated and is badly in need of refurbishment. The pool area is pleasant but was constantly busy. I have been travelling for over 40 years and never have I seen people queuing to get a sun bed. The fact there isn’t enough explains it I suppose. One thing that really miffed me is a family left rubbish behind, pizza box, coke cans etc. The rubbish lay for over 3 hours before being cleaned up, not acceptable. We found, on occasion the staff to be rude and abrupt. On the positive side, the kiddies entertainment is excellent. Will we stay there again, not a chance.

Apartments big and clean , evenings entertainment bad suitable for toddlers only very loud music . Food was good but drink even water was not included in dinner , breakfast tea and juice was terrible juicec was either too sweet or watery . A main thing is that teens under 18 should be allowed in the gym if accompanied by an adult or if they have good prior gym knowledge as my son has been going to the gym for a year and has never been unsafe in the gym and knows what is safe to do and not but wasn't let in.dinner staff will force you to buy drinks even you are not ready to order. There was no commen area to sit where AC is we check out at 12cand flight was not until evening so just keep in mind there is not any comfortable area to sit in .The hotel is at hill be aware if can not walk uphill .

Places close by to eat, drink and shop. However taxi's needed to get back from Los Cristianos centre as the hill and even the stairs up to the complex are massive. There is a shop on site as well as a spa, nail salon and hairdressers. Pool areas are nice, we used the lower pool as it was quieter and the last 2 days we got cabanas at Pool 3, which is good value for money in my opinion.

Stayed here for a week, and honestly? Not bad at all. The place is clean, the staff are friendly as hell, and the apartments are bigger than my student flat—kitchen, living area, balcony, the whole deal. Great if you’re not into cramming into a hotel room like sardines.
Pool’s decent, gym’s basic but usable, and there’s a mini-market on-site for when you’re too hungover to trek down the hill. Speaking of which… that hill? It’s a calf-buster. Be prepared to hike or rely on the free shuttle unless you enjoy cardio with your cocktails.

Stayed here many times and still love it. Properties a little tired and could do with modernising but still nice. Staff strike on Thurs /Fri caused a bit of disruption and a made a lot of noise. Poor communication about this and Spa wasn't open to get a shower before we left!

It’s nothing fancy, but value for money. Really big complex, so very busy. Service could be better especially in the restaurant. You feel herded a bit. Nice touch is cava breakfast on Sunday. Also the free shuttle to the beach every day.
There are 3 pools, so nice to have quieter options, not just the main pool with the constant dance music.

This hotel is probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Spain. The studio room I booked for 3 nights was incredibly affordable and had a great view of the pool and town below. There was a free bus transfer to the beach every hour, which I didn't know about beforehand. On site there was a small supermarket, a salon, and a restaurant. If there small on site shop doesn't have what you want, there's several shops within a 10 minute walk down the hill which sells most everything else.
The two single beds were very comfortable and the room had its own water heater so I never ran out of hot water for the shower.
They held events nightly around the pool and you could take part in person, or from your balcony. But the sound proofing was very good on the balcony door so if you don't want to hear it, you don't have to.
The only issues I have are small ones. 1) the knifes in the kitchenette need a good sharpen, 2) the hotel is on top of a hill, so if you are planning on taking the 40 bus from the airport to the hotel, it's about a 15 minute walk up hill so it's not the easiest with bags, so a taxi would be a better idea. 3) while this property is family friendly, there were a fair few party goers. While this isn't a fault with the hotel, it's something to consider. Hence the 4 instead of 5 stars.

The reception noted our email asking for a room near a lift and provided us with one as some blocks did not have lifts and meant carrying your cases up flights of steps. Not recommended for a quiet restful holiday and for people with walking difficulties. Great free transport down to beachfront where it was lovely and flat. We expected a few children holiday week but all four weeks full of them wasn't what we wanted. Entertainment team worked really hard but limited room with only 12 tables let it down. Not a hotel for us late 60's.

Booked a 2 bed apartment which was clean and very spacious. Pools and social areas all very clean and well presented. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the food. Food tasted great but even when going in when it just opened it was mainly cold. From reading previous reviews we found the microwave which rescued the food, although this really shouldn't be necessary. Having said that, would recommend the hotel as a whole.

Stay was ok, wasn't able to check in the first day due to flught issues had to come in the following day, tried to see if a night unused could be refunded but no all booking fees was charged. The room came with a 2 single bed when its just one guest instead of a Queen size bed. The lodge environment smells of cleaning detergent not very good for someone with breathing issues.

This hotel has its best times well over.
Outdated rooms, furniture and equipment are not its biggest problem though.
The \"cleanliness\" is appaling. I have never seen a hotel room this unkempt and filthy. No surprise it's a paradise for cockroaches - the one in our bathroom was a really good size.
Housekeeping is non-existing in this \"hotel\" (hostel would be more appropriate although I think that even hostels have better hygiene standards than this \"4* hotel\"). I think the housekeepers just wipe all rooms and floors with one and same mop/cloth as after the \"cleaning\" (occurs once a week) there were even more varieties of hair and dirt than before (I initially cleaned the room myself (and especially the bathroom) after our arrival as it was not possible to stay there otherwise) so I had to clean again after the cleaners' visit.
Having seen other reviews with exactly the same theme, I understood that complaining was futile.
Even my two sons (11 and 10) who are certainly not the tidiest people in the world noticed the dirty bathroom sinks and kitchen counter shortly after we arrived.
Nothing could ever outweigh this.
Besides this, the hotel is old, half of the furnite is broken or falling apart, staff at the reception are superslow and not very helpful and the bathroom was really small (and sooo dirty!) considering the size of the whole room.

Overall it was comfortable with a spacious apartment and a nice terrace. There were sufficient sunbeds by the pools. The free shuttle bus to the beach was useful as it's a steep clime back to the hotel. However the breakfast was a bun fight, constantly running out of cups, plates, food, drinks, the cooked food was cold. It was positively dangerous by the hot water ern as it was flooded and was an electrical extension in the water !

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the Hotel itself was so clean with lots of facilities. The apartment was really spacious with an open plan kitchen diner lounge area. Again all very clean and welcoming. The food in the hotel was really nice and plenty of choice. Would highly recommend a stay for either a couple or family.

The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful - but there wasn’t a lot of information given at the check in (it was quite busy though ) and we were chastised by a member of the dining room staff for not having a room card at dinner (which it turned out we were not given - in error - at check in )
Also, we didn’t know about paying extra for the barbecue menu on Wednesday night….which we would have been happy to do… but we had chosen from the regular menu before we realised there was an option.
We discovered that there was a microwave for guests to use to reheat their food (which was sometimes a little colder than I would have liked) but not til day 3. The dining room staff could be a little more informative and helpful.
One or two staff stood out as being very customer friendly - one of the bar men that served us lunch on our first day, and the reception staff who handled enquiries very efficiently.
Overall, there was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere - many guests we met have visited on previous occasions and they were very happy to return.
The complimentary bus service to the beach was excellent and there was nightly entertainment. After dark it was quiet and we were not disturbed on any night.
I would return to this hotel - and enjoy it even better now that I know the rules!

Good stay at Hollywood Mirage (Jan’25)
We (couple late-20s) had a good stay at Hollywood Mirage at the end of January (four nights), the hotel is cheap and cheerful. The hotel is at the top of a large hill and a ~15/20 min walk from the beach, we didn’t mind this but something to be mindful of. The grounds were easy to get around and the ‘basic’ room was a good size with all required amenities (bath towels, kitchen utensils, fridge freezer, iron). There was an extra cost for use of the safe. We booked a room with a Queen Bed but this turned out to be two big-single beds pushed together (we were hoping for a single queen mattress), but this wasn’t too bad for four nights. Three pools to choose from, all of which were well maintained. There is an extra charge for pool/beach towels (we bought our own). Staff were friendly and pool side entertainment was good. Parking is free on the streets surrounding the hotel. There is a supermarket on site or just down the road, we opted for no food/drink included and instead made use of the kitchen facilities in the room when eating/cooking. Would recommend for a cheap trip away and would recommend getting a car to explore the area.

I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! The location and views are truly beautiful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The food on the property was fantastic, and I loved how close it was to exciting places like Siam Park, Jungle Park, and the beach. Being near the center of Los Cristianos meant there was always something to do. I also appreciated the peaceful evenings, which allowed me to relax and unwind. I can't recommend this hotel enough; I’m definitely looking forward to booking another stay soon!

the hotel is at the back of the resort and on a hill, it is easily recognised by its roofline and thus you can find it to walk back too. the apartment, was spacious, in good condition, clean and well decorated and provisioned. swimming pools were clean and had life guards all day, but unheated. Breakfast offered a great range of items covering all tastes.

It was good value and generally happy given what we paid but it is definitely in need of refurbishment and not a 4 star standard. The spiral staircase to the bedroom was a bit precarious given the proximity to the bathroom, we were very careful not to have wet feet. The bathrooms in particular, whilst in working order, were not in a good state of repair. The staff were lovely and it was clean and and tidy around the grounds.

Please bring back the original all Cuban entertainment team. The current team did not hit the mark compared. The weekly towel change is very poor as towels get wet and dirty every day. The move from daily to weekly is not helpful. Love the gym and SPA.
