Room was great. Very clean. Paid for a double, got a twin with beds pushed together. NOT GOOD!
We were charged €1 for four cubes of ice at the bar. Never been charged for ice ever at a hotel. Reception was always crowded and understaffed. Staff apart from Angel were rude and sarcastic if and when you got to talk to them. Breakfast was quite good. Omelette bar was very nice. Decent food throughout. The bacon was reconstituted bacon loaf cut into slices. Not disgusting, it’s bacon; but not as you know it. Real bacon would be far better and they claim to be a four star hotel. Real bacon would be more fitting at a four star hotel. No amenities around the hotel. One local shop didn’t sell drinks, only water and it’s very over priced. Rather than be ripped off, I bought anything I needed through a delivery app. Pool was nice. Pool area nice and clean. I think later in the year you would have sun-bed wars!!

Rooms are clean, the pool was nicely kept and warm there’s a few restaurants on the hotel grounds. The food wasn’t anything impressive but filling enough. The staff are really kind and considerate provided great recommendations as well definitely an overall 4 star hotel but a good experience.

Room was spacious and practical and there were a lot of sun-beds near the pool. The spa personal was very friendly. However the food and staff were the worst I’ve ever experience in my life. Their food quality and way of cooking it was terrible, raw or burt, breakfast, lunch and dinner, all bad and when complaining, they would get upset, no apologies ever and they would expect you to eat it and pay for it. It was very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend to select an all inclusive here, you will end up eating out and overpaying. It’s worth spending €5 in a taxi and going to playa las Americas or Siam mall and have a nice meal with friendly Tenerife people.

Overall, our impression of the hotel was very positive. For a relatively low price, you can truly enjoy a nice and relaxing holiday. The breakfasts were excellent, with a great selection and good quality food.

It was a big advantage that the pool water was warm, and the entire area was clean and well maintained. The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful place, so there was no noise from traffic. It was lovely to open the window in the morning and hear the birds singing.

All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

I just got back from Gara suites. Reception Staff lovely, Cafe staff was lovely. Breakfast was good I think but only eat once of a night BBQ Night wasnt that impressed. Rooms are lovely and modern I did enjoy myself apart from my Watch going missing in the room.

My watch was at the side of the sink in my bathroom and the cleaner had only been in the bathroom to change towels and my watch was gone! I spoke to Reception and the lovely man called Cleaning Department but no look on finding my watch! So have to go through insurance now. (If you are to stay all I would say is make sure you use the safe for expensive belongings and can go missing)

Apart from watch going missing it was a nice hotel!

The rooms were lovely and definitely are 3/4 stars.

The bathrooms are a little bit dated and shower is not the best.

I came here for a personal refresh and retreat but the gym is absolutely shocking. There is no gym basically. All the equipment is broken and they only have a handful of dumbbells so I could only train once and that was minimal which isn’t ideal if they advertise they have a gym which they don’t.

Apart from that worth the price.

Food wise we only had breakfast and I’m fussy with certain meats but it was fine with lots to offer

We stayed one night before catching an early ferry to La Gomera. Check in easy and room while large, basic and affordable, could be cleaner (the floor left our feet dirty). Bed and pillow could be more comfortable. Hairdryer overheated and did not work. Positives are the room was very quiet.

After check out we went for a quick coffee at breakfast before catching our ferry. We were stared at by staff throughout breakfast and stopped at the door when we prepared a small sandwich to take with us to our journey. It was explained to us the hotel management policy was no food to be taken and the food was taken from us and put into a bin. This is disgraceful policy, there is more food than sense at this huge buffet breakfast, the hotel management saved €1 in food and lost our custom. Our recommendation is offer a small takeout option for a small charge and stop your greedy and unreasonable practice. It is very unfair for your staff to have to police the breakfast buffet due to this ‘issue’. We hope the management at least give this food to their employees and save the rest of this waste going to the bin.

Approx15 minute walk downhill to main bars/restaurants, slightly longer coming back up but a nice walk, did get a taxi on one occasion only €6 would definitely stay again.

breakfast was fine but we used to take a taxi into Golden Mile for dinner which was lovely - only 7euro in the taxi each way.

Many years ago this may well have been a 4 star hotel, but not now. Very tired rooms, sockets hanging out of the wall etc. There is no sound proofing so you can hear doors slamming etc. Poor breakfast selection. Dietary requirements are not catered for, such as non dairy milk.
The toilets by the pool are horrendous and actually quite dangerous.
Reception staff not overly friendly but the cleaners were pleasant.
We spent most of our time out of the hotel, and would definitely not return.
Plus points: Taxis are readily available and the view of the golf course from our room was lovely
and very peaceful.

I had a wonderful time here. The environment was nice, with a quiet, beautiful golf field view and decent swimming pools nearby. The stuff was friendly, attentive and helpful. They even prepared a bottle of complimentary sparkling wine for my birthday when I didn’t mention anything about it.
I bought the half board package, which includes 2 buffets a day. The foods were good and were slightly different day to day.
I am very happy with the stay here and I definitely will recommend it to other people interested to go to Tenerife.

So many issues.
1. Ant infestation in our room
2. No bin in our room when we arrived
3. Atrocious cleaning day to day with rubbish not being taken out
4. Complete disregard for health and safety - there was broken glass on the floor where breakfast is served. I told a waiter and they did nothing to clean it.
5. Atrociously slow check in with no enough staff for the number of guests and staff letting people push into the check in queue
6. Food is awful and the hot breakfast is cold

Brilliant staff which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Rooms are a bit sparse without coffee making facility’s but we had an amazing view of the golf course.

I recommend Gara to anyone who is looking for privacy away from the strip as a taxi is always available and relatively inexpensive.

Clean room, lovely food- bbq night on terrace and Mexican night were delicious, breakfast full English also very good. Not too busy round the pool, could always get a sunbed. Cheap taxi to las vistas beach €8. The play park is perfect for kids. I think the kids entertainment in the evening wasn’t great- they said there was a kids disco at 8.30pm but this never seemed to happen- just someone doing balloons- also quite late for kids entertainment.

Surrounded by the golf course made it quiet and pleasant. It's about a 15 minute walk to the sea front but the walk is pleasant. Also an option for Taxi scooters which hang around by reception.
Hotel itself had plenty to do. The room was incredible, plenty of space, great bed and slept well. Would stay again

The location of Gara Suites is in a quiet area, which was nice but it was out of the way and inconvenient. You have to take a taxi to get into town.

The overall hotel was satisfactory in terms of facilities and amenities, breakfast was decent as well.

A few problems and things to improve:
- There was constant repair works all week in most of the hotel area. Particularly where I was staying.
- The rooms we're lovely and spacious, but need to be cleaned much deeper and better as there was visible stains on the floors, walls, windows and certain areas.
- The lifts looked and felt very worn, for sure this needs to be fixed as it felt unsafe to use.
- Staff we're a hit and miss, but overall fine.

All in all we have had a good stay. I’d rather have been in the main hotel area. The section we were in was very badly lit and quite noisey.
First impressions weren’t good when you walk into reception to see somebody asleep. I wouldn’t put the hotel at four star. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

We had a brilliant stay at Gara Suites. The grounds are very clean and well maintained, lovely pool with plenty of loungers. Breakfast had lots of choice - I would recommend going earlier as the food is fresher and it’s quieter. It gets very busy 9:30 onwards.

Lots of choice for the breakfast including fresh pancakes and omelettes made on request with whatever ingredients you choose. The Indian on site was amazing - it was a shame it was so quiet. Definitely recommend eating here one evening.

We had a golf view room which was lovely and so peaceful. It would have been nice to have loungers instead of just two chairs and a table but that is my only negative about our whole stay.

Nice stroll into las Americas, it took us about 20/25 minutes to get to the main strip walking or between 6 and 8 euros in a taxi.

Would stay again in the future!

The experience was ok for a price but there is no communication. No beach towel, no kettle in a room unless you pay deposit at the reception. They advertised disco on Friday night but never mention entry fee , we were sent away as we had dinner before elsewhere and couldn’t enter without paying. Breakfast was nice but the fruits were canned full of sugar and the fresh one has no taste.
They only have one playlist at the pool so if you like Adele the place is perfect for you.

Great room! Lovely big bed. The golf view terrace with sun loungers was amazing if you wanted an alternative to pool side. Great pool area with one accessible pool via ramp. Indian restaurant located in hotel was pretty good.

Unfortunately multiple balcony door locks where broken meaning the room was unsecure. This was fixed after asking at reception within a couple of hours. Not ideal as this should be checked by hotel but happy the issue was resolved. Expensive hotel shop but loads of choice within a 20 minute walk.

We arrived and were a little concerned over reported robberies previously published. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a golf view and after emailing in advance and arriving in our room to find the 2 balcony doors didn’t lock and the safe not secure (as in you could pick it up and carry it under your arm) we sought help from reception. The guy on reception explained that the hotel was full so we couldn’t be moved but they would send the handy man straight away. He arrived almost immediately and to our delight fixed both doors and secured the safe to the wall. We returned to reception to thank them and then also requested an iron and board which were issued immediately.
Room service was a little hit and miss but nothing concerning as we were able to make the bed or source clean towels if needed.
Pool area was super. Bar drinks and snacks were fine. A little frustrating that the shop in site only sells water at €2.50 and no soft drinks etc, but only a short walk to the nearest shop.
Taxis always available too. Breakfast was ok and something for everyone. A really nice 8 night break and would defo return.

Breakfast buffet is huge. Highly recommend. Cheap taxis to the town which wait outside the hotel. Can’t beat it. Best in Tenerife south

A balcony is not a terrace!

Be careful when booking a terrace room you will get a balcony and not a terrace.

Terrible service and being ripped off paying more for a terrace and getting a balcony
