Room was very run down, balcony was very small. Food was edible but most of the hot food was cold. Gym in the spa was very old equipment, poor hygiene and not cleaned very often. Felt like I was totally ripped off staying here.

Nice looking hotel inside and out. Good location. The spa is nice and massages good value. Natalia on reception is lovely, a real credit to your team. The food was nice and a great variety. Unfortunately let down by a few points - the dining hall is chaos. Poorly laid out. Often hard to find a cleared/clean table. Hard to get staffs attention for a drink in the dining hall. No irons are available for guests - we were told to use the laundry (fee). Found it unusual that the exact same drinks are served so differently for all inclusive / non all inclusive guests. For example, the exact same cocktails are served in nice glasses and with fruit decorations etc to paid guests but to all inclusive guests come in small basic glasses with no fruit etc. Another example, soft drinks are served in pint glasses with lemons for paying guests but plastic cups for all inclusive guests. It feels like all inclusive guests are penalised for some reason. Evening / bar snacks are almost non existent so fill up on dinner! Overall however - decent value for money.

The flat was very nicely situated in the old town with the ability to get to all the sites and the many restaurants & bars.
The flat its self was situated in the 7th floor of a 1950”s building with a very old fashion 2 person lift that did not work very well and at times not at all. The walk up 7 flights of stairs was very tiring after walking all day.
The water pressure and hot water to the shower was again very hit & miss.
The beds were comfortable, 3 doubles and 1 single room. Contact with the owner was very poor so our questions went unanswered.

Place was clean it just wasnt for me. Good enough to rest your head. Service in the dining room was awful staff arguing with each other and felt like a bad canteen took ages to get drinks served and at times weren’t offered any at all. Good choice of food but felt like cattle being served with noisy servers slopping all the leftovers into tubs in front of you as you were eating.

Just one think what i didn't like its the breakfast, and coffee ..but that's just my opinion..

Anybody reading this take stock, booked this hotel on a quick break to Tenerife. The hotel was excellent,
Location walking distance to beach, shopping, restaurants.
Management were very professional, polite, helpful.
Catering staff took pride in their hospitality making sure food was presented and cooked to a high standard
Cleaning staff who were always extremely busy in hotel and accommodation, pool and bar deserved a special mention.
35 years travelling hotels with business and pleasure, far more than most people could imagine this hotel provides everything you need.
Some major chain hotels in uk could do with a week holiday here to understand customer focus.
Thank you I will return.

Had a very pleasant stay here. The staff have been very kind and even gave me a bottle of fizz to celebrate my birthday.

Everything is pretty much walkable. Only a couple of issues, the music from Veronica’s blares at silly o’clock in the morning, you have to pay for drinks (even water) when you have half board (dinner/lunch). The waiters can just rush you when you have either just sit down or are mid mouthful. Other than that, first time solo travelling and i felt very safe and very frequently people!

overal it was clean, great location and staf was very friendly no problem there, however must point few issues not much food choices very repetitive, tv exploaded in middle of the night sorted next day t bff tho but was not pleasant experince, 3days room not claned despite having “please clean my room sign” on the door and going out, getting to the room is not convinient, all rooms are with balcony but noone tells you prior booking your is on the ground with option to upgrade. at dinner time even water costs 2,50€ as thre is no jar or dispenser available.

The hotel had everything you could want for a holiday. I asked for a quiet room and was upgraded to a superior room. One of the female bar staff (entertainment bar)was quite surly.
The toilet in the bathroom was a little too low which could present a problem for the elderly with mobility problems.

The Hotel is Ok, the staff are excellent.

Rooms good. Gym - old and not well looked after and doesn't open until 10 am! The pool area is lovely BUT people putting towels on sunbeds nd not turning up till after midday is a big issue. Kids in the whirlpool, means the adults don't get a look in! I know not the hotel's thought but I think it needs to be managed better.

Food is average to OK , the staff serving the food really nice, but the guys doing the tables with drinks, clearing etc, very rude, no one welcomes you and gives you a table, but if you sit at a table the guys don't like it, they wave their arms and tell you to move ! even if you have your food in front of you.

Our stay at this hotel was different from what we hoped for. We reluctantly chose this hotel as our usual hotel was fully booked for our dates.

Firstly, the staff is fantastic. However, leadership/management needs to manage the property better. You possess ineffective leadership skills, and it is apparent. Other guests complained about some issues, and your vague/generic responses indicate you need more decision-making and problem-solving skills, further proving your leadership style needs to change.

Secondly, no guest wants to walk into a dirty room after a long flight. Our room was infested with dead spiders and cobwebs, a clear sign that it had not been cleaned before our arrival- a truly terrible experience. The housekeeper who came in was pleasant. She cleaned the room and left us insecticide spray. We weren't even offered another room.

Thirdly, one day, we decided to spend some time in the room before heading out on the strip. We ate out a lot due to the same kind of food/limited options. We heard heavy water flowing; I thought the kids left the faucet open; it was water flowing heavily from our ceiling, another nightmare.The horror we would've faced if we were out at that time.I have never been on vacation counting down to leave; my kids wanted to return home, we travel a lot. This was such a bad experience at this hotel. Wifi doesn't work in the room, and there are no ironing boards/irons like regular hotels
PROS: convenient, many restaurants/bars, Siam Park, etc.

Just returned from 4 night stay here upon arrival then made to additional room fees not mentioned in original booking. Food repetitive like school canteen. Staff slow to serve in the bars, reception and restaurant. This was ment to be a relaxing first time break in Tenerife nothing more than a nightmare. Don't stay here look elsewhere

Great vacation! I recommend this hotel. Food was great, you can find anything you like, lot of vegetables, different kind of meat, seafood, pasta, cakes, ice cream. We were enjoying also bar, refreshing sangria, mojito, beer was good(we are from a beer country). There might be queues on bar, but we have never waited more than couple minutes. When the hotel is full you wait longer on your drinks in restaurant too, but we are not blaming staff, they were working really hard. Just across the street from nice beach.

The lady in reception on 04/02/2022 around 7-8pm was nice,freandly and help me with my request,the man same day/time wasnt nice.
Cleaners was good too. The restaurant cheff was very,very rood. One time he cooked chicken breast to my child abd chicken was row.i ask him can he cooked more and he wasnt happy.Next time pancakes was black over coocked my husband took them and live it on another side and took normal pancakes and kichen chef told my husband “is not normal to to that” thats mean im paying monney for the food and we have to eat what he give us?????

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice terrace by the room. A little noisy until 11pm/midnight, as we were by the bar.

Great pool, jacuzzi, and view of the sea. Peaceful terrace with plenty of beds (in January).

Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was lovely but not quite as good as the breakfast in terms of quality.

Great value for money overall for half board.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Gym weights equipment fairly good but not maintained well, and cardio old and broken. We were not notified that the indoor pool and spa would be closed when booking (for maintenance), which was very disappointing as it was the reason we chose between two hotels. This was the only downside.

The hotel need to update their description, as we were worried about the note saying we needed a PCR, despite this not matching the Canary Islands guidance. We didn't see this until we were boarding and checking the app for directions, and had a very panicked flight.

Just returned from a weeks stay in Tenerife at Hotel Gala. The hotel was clean and our Club Alexandre room was well equipped. We were staying on an all inclusive rate and the food in the hotel was enjoyable. I prefer to eat fresh salads and Spanish style dishes and there was always a good selection of meat and seafood dishes to my and my wife's taste on offer. Drinks are only served by staff members, upon presentation of your room key, so bar service could be slow at times, but this never impacted massively upon our holiday.

The pool and sunlounger deck was clean and tidy. Not a huge amount of sunbeds but this may be a covid/social distancing related issue.

Really enjoyed our holiday and would likely return to this hotel in future.

Enjoyed our stay here, room we got was renovated and comfortable. Hotel food was basic so we usually ate outside. The hotel doesn’t offer irons either, so make sure to iron your clothes before or you’ll be stuck paying ridiculous prices per item of clothing to be ironed.

My stay was a bit frustrating. The parking in the hotel is very small, and they sold me a parking ticket for a day, but when I went to park there were no spots available. I had to circle the parking lot multiple times in search for a spot, only to end up back on the street to find parking.

In terms of the hotel, it's okay for the price I suppose, but for me this was not a 4 star hotel.

Stayed here last year and really enjoyed it. Food was quiet good last year. Food this was awful. Cleaners are great. Restaurant staff all as miserable as sin. Our room was one of the older rooms at road level. We had drug dealers and prostitutes do deals outside our window. Will not be staying here next year. Upside pool area is fine.

Let's get the bad thing out of the way. If you want to sleep before midnight and loud music annoys you then forget about sleeping early since there is a concert in the lobby every evening from 20:00 - 23:59 and the hotel room shakes meanwhile. You need to pay for everything extra like the safe, coffee for your room and even for them to open the fridge. The reception staff that were +50 years old are not nice but the younger one were really nice. Breakfast was okay but lunch/dinner was fantastic. Really nice spa and gym but the pool in the spa had too much chlorine. I had a massage that was fantastic. The outdoor pool was nice and the pool area also. The location in really good with a lot of stores and restaurants nearby. The beds in the room was just the right stiffness for me but the legs were lose so when I turned in the bed I almost got seasick. Overall I was just above satisfied but I would not stay there again and can't recommend this hotel.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Gala. The food is excellent and always has a wide range and variety. The hotel is near the beach and has a variety of entertainment nearby. The hotel is clean and tidy with unusal vegetation as decoration ! The hotel entertainment is ok. The rooms are clean and sufficient but the mattresses could be improved. We shall definitely book again.

Stayed at the Gala many times always got good service from very friendly staff. Not so many English people so the food has more Italian German and of course Spanish kind of flavours. Rooms are good bathrooms all work plenty of hot water clean towels every day all standard stuff the location suits us near Veronicas ( never been in though ) 70 years old no rock & roll there.

We (2 couples late 50's) stayed for 10 days at the Gala Hotel in Jan 2014. It was one of the best holidays we have had in the Canaries. Don't be mislaid by our advanced years we like to go out at night and relax during the day. The hotel is ideally situated for night life and close to the beach. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful.
When we first arrived we were given rooms at the back of the hotel which were quieter. When we said we would prefer rooms overlooking the street we were moved as soon as rooms were available which was only 2 days later. We were given the keys to the new rooms in advance to ensure we were happy then we moved. As I said the reception staff were excellent and it didn't matter who we spoke to they were all aware of what was happening.
The hotel was spotless and the amenities were great. Always beds and matresses available by the pool and when it came to settling the bill for extras it was dead accurate.
We would be happy to recommend the hotel to anyone and have done to some of our friends. The whole experience of booking with Expedia was great and we will be doing it again.

Dangerous outside hotel of a night

Hotel is great. staff great. Food great. There are 2 pools one is slightly heated and the other must be refrigerated. It was so cold in there nobody used it so pointless really. Food was great.
Unfortunately the hotel is directly opposite Linekers in what I would describe as downtown playa. Of a night time you would be safer walking in Syria. During my stay (and these are the ones i know about) there were 2 stabbings outside the hotel. On New Years Day there was a trail of blood on the footway no doubt following another brawl. One of the other guests was outside Linekers and had his jaw broken in 3 places following an attack.
I was offered illegal drugs directly on at least 50 occasionsand offered it indirectly a further 50 times \"what do you want, what are you looking for\".
On the first night outside the hotel I was grabbed a call girl offering me services for 20 euros but reputation is that they pick pocket you at the same time. I declined her services. There was a male in the hotel reception on new years day who took refuge from a number of prostitutes before walking home.
If you dont want to go into a swimming pool, dont want to go out night time then fine otherwise for goodness sake stay here at your peril.

Good centrally located hotel

The staff immediately recognised me from a previous visit and the service was excellent throughout. When I asked for a room with a better view on arrival, my request was immediately accommodated. The air conditioning in my room was struggling to keep the room cool, even when left on continuously, although a second key to enable this was provided automatically, and the fuse on the a/c tripped a number of times. A good selection of food was available in the buffet restaurant - although greater variety between nights would have been good - and the wine and other extras were reasonably priced. Overall, a good location, with direct access to the beach, and good value for money.

The Best Hotel Ever

We attended the Hotel Gala and had'nt been there for 2 years.

As we walked through the Building Everyone recognised us again and remembered our names.

They all seem Genuinely happy to see us.

The Staff are the most friendly and helpful I've ever had the pleasure to meet.

The whole Gala experience is great.

lovely swimming pool for children and plenty of space for adults
good value for money i would say
location is close to amusement parks such as siam & jungle parks

underground park@hotel is EUR 5/day, on-street parking is free, but a bit difficult to find a spot

Gala is positive for family vacation IMHO

Hotel was great, food lovely and good service. The entertainment was ok. Most of the shows were what I would consider suitable for children, not adults; parrot show, dog show etc. Music portion of the shows were good (if you're in the over 50s age group as we were).

One thing that we thought odd was that the door to the bathroom in the room was glass!

The Wellness Centre & Spa was excellent. Especially when one of the days it rained all day. It was expensive for a day per person, but we asked for a deal for four people for four days and got a good reduction.

Overall, it is a good hotel and very near the beach and restaurants. It is very near the Veronicas area, which is very noisy. However, we were always back in the hotel by 10 pm, and never heard any noise when in the hotel area or in our rooms.

The Gala is a high quality centrally located hotel. I go there every year for some winter sunshine. I like the buffet style meals and poolside facilities are excellent.

Two weeks in Paradise after being scalped!

The basic room is a bait and switch. We were placed next to the dumpster. Everything is extra. We complained about our room and they were indifferent. $500 later we had a decent room. The safe, excercise equiptment, refrigerator, spa, EVERYTHING is extra. The water in the room has a price of 3 Euro on it. The hotel was in the right location for everything, the rooms were good, the tv had only 2 english stations, both news. I would not return.

Très bon hôtel.
Suite aux différents commentaires que nous avons pu lire avant d’y aller, nous avons longuement hésité à maintenir la réservation. La meilleure façon n’est pas de lire les commentaires mais de vous rendre au gala pour voir par vous-même.
Le personnel est extrêmement gentil et serviable, la cuisine est de très bonne qualité, les spectacles le soir sont de très bonne qualité également.
Il y a deux piscines extérieures, l’une n’est pas chauffée et donc est assez froide, l’autre est chauffée et elle est à bonne température pour s’y baigner.
L’hôtel dispose d’un spa, très agréable, grand et propre.
Vous trouverez toutes les commodités aux abords de l’hôtel, pharmacie, restaurants, boutiques, etc.
Pour résumer nous sommes ravis de notre séjour à six ( trois adultes et trois enfants ).

Wir waren mit unserer kleinen Tochter in diesem Hotel mit all inclusive. Das Zimmer war sauber ausser die Vorhänge waren verdrekt und in Badezimmer hatten wir schimmel. Das Zimmer hatte keine Heizung und kühlte in der Nacht zumteil auf 14-15 Grad ab. Unsere Tochter und wir haben gefrohren, wir haben einen kleinen Heizlüfter bei der Reseption erhalten, der beim gebrauch komisch roch. Die Fenster waren nicht und der zog ins Zimmer. Das Hotel hatte drei Lifte bei der Reseption und 2 Lifte wurden abgestellt. Wieso wissen wir nicht, mit einem Kinderwagen mussten wir mehrmals die Treppen benutzen. Das Restaurant war dreckig, die Tische wurden lausig gereinigt, die Tischsets wurden meistens nur umgedreht, die Kinderstühle mussten wir reinigen, da alle sehr verdreckt waren. Das Essen war geschmacklos/fad und vielfach verkocht. Die Essensauswahl war sehr eintönig und nie lokal. Die Kellner haben uns teilweise nicht bedient und ignoriert. Am zweitletzten Tag haben wir eine Riesenkakerlake zwischen den Tischen gsehen. Die Aussentische und Böden wurden nie gereinigt. Das Hotel hat die vier Sterne nicht verdiehnt. Wir würden dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Everything would need a fix. Floor on the room was broken and everything looked very used in the room. Service was not good in restaurant and food was not special. You need to pay extra for everything that is normally in other hotels included like safety deposit and water in restaurant.

Wir haben aufgrund einer Empfehlung ein Zimmer in dieser Unterkunft gebucht. Leider waren unsere Erwartungen im Vergleich zu dem, was wir bekamen, zu hoch. Das Personal war nicht sehr nett, die Rezeptionisten schienen keine Freude an ihrer Arbeit zu haben. Der Boden und die Türklinken im Zimmer klemmten, das Badezimmer war schimmelig. Der Lärm von draußen im Zimmer war bei geschlossener Tür nicht störend, aber man konnte nicht lüften, da man wegen des Lärms nicht schlafen konnte. Das war ziemlich störend. Die Betten sollten mal überprüft werden, da sie stark quietschten.

Das Essen war abwechslungsreich, aber ich würde es nicht als herausragend bezeichnen, und mehrmals gab es ein Gericht, das als laktosefrei gekennzeichnet war, es aber nicht war. Leider haben wir das selbst erlebt. Beim Frühstück lief eine Kakerlake im Restaurant herum, was auf einer Insel vorkommt, aber das Personal tat so, als ob es sie nicht bemerkt hätte. Auf Anfrage wurde sie aus dem Restaurant entfernt.

Ganz zu schweigen davon, dass mein Partner krank wurde und wir seine Temperatur messen wollten, aber die Rezeptionistin sagte, das Thermometer sei kaputt, lass uns eins in der Apotheke kaufen. Ich denke, ein Thermometer gehört an einem solchen Ort zur Grundausstattung.

Die Umgebung des Hotels ist tagsüber voller Müll, und nachts wimmelt es nur so von Drogenabhängigen und Prostituierten.

Insgesamt denke ich, dass wir für dieses Geld ein viel besseres Hotel hätten finden können.

La struttura è veramente bella, molto pulita e curata, con tante belle piante, ampi spazi per il relax così la gente non è mai ammassata.
Piscina e idromassaggio tenuti molto bene, acqua pulita e quella dell'idromassaggio gradevolmente calda.
La nostra camera davvero bella e spaziosa con ampi letti, anche per nostro figlio, il bagno anche molto grande e dotato di ogni comfort.
Animazione semplice, più la sera e in particolare per bambini piccoli, mancava intrattenimento per la fascia 8/13 anni.
Unica pecca è stato il cibo, molto poco vario e secondo me più gradito alla clientela tedesca e inglese o comunque del nord Europa cui peraltro era la maggioranza.

Las camas en las habitaciones hace décadas que no las cambian: tienen los muelles característicos de los 80. Amenities bastante justillas. El comedor muy mejorable: no se puede pedir el punto de la carne en el show cooking (todo acaba carbonizado).

Hotellet var helt ok. Rommet vårt hadde noen flekker både på senga og gardiner.
Frokost var ikke så bra.
Vi benyttet ikke hotellet basseng da vi syntes det så skittent ut. Man kunne ikke se bunn og vannet var tåkete. Ellers grei beliggenhet og hyggelig folk som jobber der.
