I had a very disappointing check-in experience. The room was unbearably hot due to faulty air conditioning, and when I reported this to reception I was told—on two separate occasions—that there was only one maintenance person for 500 rooms. The shorter male receptionist (French, judging by his accent) showed little sympathy, offered no apology for the state of the room, and even seemed to find the situation amusing. Some customer service training is clearly needed.

The only staff member who showed genuine concern was a lady named Sarah, who was helpful. The air conditioning once fixed was still inadequate so the blackout curtains had to be kept drawn which wasn’t ideal considering I’d paid extra for a sea view.

In addition to the air conditioning issue, the room itself was dingy, poorly maintained and not up to the standard expected of a 4-star hotel. Furnishings were inconsistent, some rooms had lamps and ceiling fans while others didn’t. There was no kettle in the room either which is unlike any 4 star hotel which I’ve stayed in.

Even though the hotel has a policy of sun beds not being reserved, no one seems to follow it which means you’ll struggle to find a bed if you leave getting to the pool until later in the day.

The other slight irritations with this hotel were the limited music play list (at breakfast and dinner the best of Whitney Houston blared out) .

On a positive note, the food was of good quality, the restaurant staff were friendly.

The hotel had some positives, like good food and excellent entertainment staff who made the stay enjoyable. However, the room cleanliness was disappointing—no cleaning service, towels weren’t replaced, and there was no tea or coffee provided. These basics should have been taken care of. If they improve housekeeping, it could be a much better experience.

This hotel is barely a 4 star. Its a lilttle run down due to its waterfront location. Staff are ok- waiting or just not getting things is normal here- can't complain about everything it just puts a damper. Website was very misleading- below expectations. Nice promenade along waterfront, had a great meal at Sirena.

Long weekend trip to the islands

Great stay at a great hotel!
From check in the service was excellent!!
Room was large and clean with large balcony to sit on and play cards.
Pool area was clean. We opted for the 1/2 board as we are not big drinkers. I found drink prices to be reasonable. Food at the Buffet was very good!! Not 5tar dining but probably best buffet outside of Vegas that I have had. Infinity pool deck was a great place to watch the sun set and watch the surfers/people watch.

Only 2 downsides…
1) no on-site parking. You have to find it on the street or in a local garage
2) sandy beach is not directly behind the hotel, however it is a short walk away.

We are definitely going to stay here again soon! Thanks for the great visit!!?

At the check-in was everything very nice and they welcome us very nicely because of privilege status. They give us a warm welcome and the staff was very nice. I get completely disappointed when we get into the room. While very clean, VERY small. But what totally disappointed me was that terrace that was supposed to be ‘privilege’. Turns out you can't have your curtains open because the people walking outside on that terrace can see in. So if you're thinking about this hotel, my personal take is that the privilege floor is not privileged at all; on the contrary, I would have loved to be on a different floor. Everything else like the staff, the food and the shows was great! I will come back but not to that floor! 😅

Property in need of some modernisation. My room was small for 3 adults and the aircon was insufficient. The room however was kept clean and fresh towels delivers daily if needed. The staff were amazing and the hotel kept clean inside and out. Ample choice for breakfast (I booked b&b) all fresh. Enjoyed my stay

Hotel had small cockroaches in the room, make sure you close luggage or bags specifically for your dedicated kids skin, however i have heard most of hotels have cockroaches, so its not this hotel only.

I truly loved all the staff! Very helpful and friendly! Did not like the fact that you had to pay for a hot tub or that you had to make an appt for the gym. That was very inconvenient and the gym VERY small so they only allowed 4 people in at a time. There were also too many rules surrounding making appts for meal times. Most all inclusive hotels allow me to go straight to dine and not have to stop and make An appt for each meal. The absolute best time was the live entertainment they had every night but the wifi was terrible. Beautiful infinity pool over looking the ocean was phenomenal!

Lovely break in the heart of Las Americas

Last minute booking. Hotel was lovely. Let down by carpeted corridors leading to rooms looking very worn/stained. However, stepping in to the rooms the room was immaculate.
Im always disappointed when you book meals and drinks are not included, even water.
Overall a great stay just a few niggles.

Make sure your room has a double bed even if solo

with the honourable exception of Bradley on reception , I found the staff to be generally , sometimes wilfully, unhelpful . When paying £100 a night I do not expect to have to pre- book my breakfast time the night before on a screen like those in McDonalds , sometimes having to queue to do so. No doubt ‘because of covid ‘. Well , I’ve stayed in many hotels over the last 15 months and not had to do this . I was refused a late check out as the hotel was full. However, I’m sure they weren’t clean all the rooms on the stroke of 12 and all new guests checking in at 2. It could have been arranged if the staff had actually wanted to . This was no surprise . After a full week I’d become accustomed to such indolence .

The hotel was lovely, however spa wasn't open, probably due to covid. Due to there not being many people in the hotel, the buffet was only on a few days and the rest you ate in the a la carte. This was a free upgrade but unfortunately there wasn't a lot of choice, so you were eating the same things quite a lot. Reckon this would have been great if everything was open.

Booked a standard room. The room was the smallest I have ever seen in a 4 star hotel. Upgraded it to junior suite and received a room equivalent to a standard one in another location (in from of the seaside) at a 5 star.
The first 2 days we had to call to have the room cleaned.
The last two days there were coakroaches (maybe this a general environmental issue in Canary)

SERVICE:

The service was:
1) excellent at the COVID security check at the entrance
2) average at the reception
3) unfriendly at the swimming pool bar

POSITION

The hotel is excellently placed from Las Americas.

OTHER

The swimming pool area are excellent.
The app system to book the self-service is intuitive and useful. In general the Corona management from entrance to internal management is well executed

Conclusion: the place is excellent if you are looking for a place attached to Las Americas beach (reachable in 1 min) and you are available to pay more for this asset while not expecting to have any price linked perk.

Have stayed at the Conquistador a few times. I have to say the hotel has excellent measures in place for dealing with the Covid situation. The room was looking rather tired also stains on the wall as if someone had shaken a can of fizzy drink and sprayed them. However the bedding was immaculate and the general cleanliness was very good. I did point this out to the to Guest Services as feedback not a complaint. I should make it clear I was offered a room change which I declined as was only there for the weekend.
I would certainly stay again. Great Location and the staff service is excellent all working very hard through this difficult time.

We stayed at Conquistador during a covid-19 lockdown. Whilst we were confined to our rooms or six days only to leave for meals within the hotel, H10 and particularly the staff did everything they could to ease the disruption and loss of our holiday. All meals were provided we had booked a b&b stay. Staff were pleasant and very attentive, always smiling to ease our disappointment. Regularly they enquired to ensure we had everything we needed in the room. Nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing hotel , we chose the privilege package and was so glad we did. 10/10, the senses restaurant and the Sakura were absolutely amazing food and entertainment wise, this hotel is beautiful the spa is really nice even though it’s a bit dated , everything was great the only annoying part were the lifts, sometimes had to wait ages for a lift to take us to the 7th floor but other than that it was perfect, I will be back

One of the nicest we've stayed in

It's a very nice hotel but paying for the Privilege package made it one of the nicest we've ever stayed in.

The Privilege lounge with terrace and hot tub was lovely.

The buffet where most meals are taken is good and there are three themes restaurants - Italian, Japanese and Steakhouse. We only ate at the Italian and would have liked more choice for vegetarians.

The hotel is in a busy resort with lots of choice of places to eat and drink.

The buffet area was like a large canteen, no organisation, people walking around looking for seats . No one there to help or direct you to a table like a proper restaurant.
There was nothing glamorous about it at all . No carpet , no atmosphere, It was very disappointing.
Everyone was overdressed fir this restaurant.

From checkin to checkout the staff were helpful smiling and courteous. We were on class level having stayed in H 10 before. It was nonstop freebies cava on arrival wine cocktails chocolates a stocked fridge on arrival biscuits nuts soft drinks beer carton drinks. Dressing gown slippers daily turndown and lindt chocolates every night. Thank you ANNA in guest rtelations you spoiled us for birthday celebrations

If you want a nice hotel with decent food, don't book here. Some lovely staff but being told off for ordering a drink incorrectly was extreme. Booked Privilege-not visible. 1970s hotel that no amount of revamping will put right. Site too small for all of activities. Met someone who stayed there as a kid in 80s! Wonky lifts. A la carte hit and miss. Powere cut due to faulty hotel kettle caused no water on top floor Hotel tired.rooms small, balconies tiny. Air conditioning inadequate, poor on public areas

Stayed for our wedding anniversary and although we did not tell the hotel, they saw our cards in our room and sent up a bottle of fizz and a card from the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. I’m kinda disappointed with H10 Conquistador.
I stayed at H10 chain in Barcelona last year, and was very happy with its. That’s why I chain this chain again.

-:
1)Room was not cleaned properly. Even used glasses were not changed without leaving paper messages for cleaners. Floor was dirty every day.
The carpet in corridor seems has not been cleaned for long time as well.
2) Saw few cockroaches in room and breakfast area (in yogurt and cereal plates!)
3) Food for breakfast are not so good quality
4) Restaurants have to be booked in advance. Even if they have free table, they are not allowed you to come and dine

Great Hotel - Need More Information at Check In

Lovely holiday hotel in great location with great rooms and good food. Charge (fee not deposit) for security box (€18) and €1 every time you change your towel somewhat petty given quality of hotel - but pretty much everything else was spot on. Check in could have been better (no explanation of pool rules or security box or towels or upgrade options or privilege benefits or option to change half board from evening to lunch - ) meant that you kind of find out by default what works (this includes having your towels removed before 9am - which is fine once you know it!). Little things that should have been explained at check in - but don’t doubt you’ll have a brilliant time (after day 1 of finding your own way!)

This was our first time visiting visiting the Canaries and and H10 hotel. WOW! We had the half board and privilege.

The hotel is located in a perfect spot, close to shops and restaurants and also a short walk to the beach; but not too close where it was loud in the evenings.

The hotel decor throughout was beautiful and grand and always found this to be clean and well taken care of. Always looked like they were keeping the property well maintained (painting, pruning trees) but not where it was invasive or bothersome to our stay.

Service was excellent and found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The privilege breakfast was by far the best we ate which offered plated meals and so good! We tried the buffet breakfast once and it was meh as was the dinner buffet - what you'd expect. The Teppanyaki was awesome and the Italian restaurant ok.

The privilege upgrade was 100% worth every penny. Gave us access to a la cart breakfast as well as the upper lounge and deck and the island at the pool. The lounge was amazing with a well stocked bar of unlimited drinks as well as espresso machine and light snacks. Wish the poolside area was larger for privilege as we found it filled quickly but were always able to find a spot on the upper deck which offered stunning views.

The hotel had a fantastic location with access from pool area through a door to the sea front promenade, we were half board and food at breakfast was fabulous lots of choice and freshly cooked pancakes,eggs of all sorts and evening meal was same lots of choice and freshly cooked meats and pasta's.Hotel room was bright and well appointed and nice bathroom only gripe is having to pay extra for safe in room and also deposit for pool towels.

The hotel and staff were very nice. Pool area was also very nice. The position of the hotel is great as you can walk into the main shopping area within a minute and restaurants are also on your doorstep. You are right on the beach which is great, but the actual beach there is very rocky. You’d have to walk a bit further down to get to more of a sandy beach. The only letdown was the food. In the main restaurant you had a lot of choose but the standard wasn’t great but then it is a 4 star hotel and it was 4 star quality. We did eat in the Italian restaurant one night in the hotel and that was really lovely, service and food was 5 star and a really lovely eating experience. We ate in the beach bar a few times but the food there was really not great very basic food that wasn’t that tasty. We wanted to eat in the Teppenyaki but we didn’t realise until it was too late that it’s only open two days in the week so missed out on that which was a shame. The rooms are clean and modern. We stayed in a standard room with our daughter, which was a little cramped and for three people there just was not enough storage space. We probably needed a junior suit but then obviously the holiday would have cost a lot more. But the staff were really lovely both at reception, at the pool and in the restaurants. Overall we had a really lovely stay

Bad points - very tired hotel, not modern. Restaurant staff unfriendly to the point of rude. Queues in restaurant & reception. Junior suite appalling dark little hovel. Luckily we were moved or we would have left. Showers scalding then cold. Sea views obscured by concrete shopping centre directly in front of the hotel. No courtesy water & 2.4 Euros in restaurant. No tea & coffee not replenish daily. Dirty dishes left. Carpets in the corridors were all very badly stained. because we our room was upgraded to privilege room not all the facility's were available only at a price and we wasn't given the option purchasing the privilege (coffee machine fridge ) until the third day when we were only there for four

We were very happy with the accommodations at H10 Conquistador. The rooms were updated and we had a fantastic sea view. We upgraded to the privileged package and enjoyed the benefits of that which included drinks, access to a sun deck with a beautiful view and the a la carte restaurants. The first evening that we arrived, there were no reservations available for any of the restaurants so we ate the buffet. While the food was good, we found the service to be lacking at the buffet. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

Couple in Tenerife - nice hotel

Nice hotel, staying in a privilege room. Room was nice, but there wasn't the iphone / ipod docking station that was advertised? advised rooms being upgraded which is probably the reason for not being provided and had ordered a double bed but received two twins. Access to private lounge with free bar, nibbles, sun bathing terrace and hot tub / Jacuzzi with great views across the ocean and inland to wards the mountains. Staff were very friendly, and would stay again. Paying that little extra for privilege provided the access to the private free bar and amenities, and exclusive use of speciality restaurants was lovely + great breakfast where you didn't have to queue. It was both my wife's and my birthday during our stay, and we each received a birthday cake and a bottle of cava in our room which was brilliant. The staff and children's club sang happy birthday at our table on each day. Lovely stay. only downsides were the twin beds (not double), no docking station and the WiFi was not very good in the room, but worked perfectly in the privilege lounge and other areas of the hotel.

Excellent location. Lots to do all day and night. There was plenty of entertainment. The staff was friendly and entertaining. The buffet could have been a little better in terms of quality although there was a wide variety of choices.

too many silly rules , charges for room safe 18 euro for the week , for me that is ridiculous for the room price they charge, very short sighted, rooms need improving , laziness or just plain tight on the groups part, the main hotel is good, though there is better for the same money.

Think twice before spending on this hotel

Hotel rules are ridiculous, the pool bar opens until midnight every night but you have to be quiet due to people sleeping...!! The rooms are very small and badly equipped very little storage, hairdryer from 90s tied to the wall, shower goes boiling hot randomly so be careful. Lifts are painfully slow, there is not enough sunbeds for everyone, you have to queue for everything including food! Towels for the sunbeds cost extra, the water fall.is broken, there is work going on so lots of noise. This hotel backs on to rocks not the beach, the beach is 15 walk. This hotel is false advertising, don't go for privilege it's the same size room, it's not a suite as advertised and not worth it unless you don't like other people or drink expensive drinks to the sum of 70 euros per day per couple. The hotel food was good and it is very clean. The staff are helpful but have stupid rules they have to abide by. I've stayed in far better hotels cheaper.

The hotel is really nice. There is some entertainment available all day for all ages, with a main act for the evening. The room was very comfortable, but the only downside for our stay was that the couple in the next room were heavy smokers and on the balcony most of the time. The smoke was horrible and meant we had to close the balcony door when they were there. Another bigger problem for us was the lack of good quality coffee in the day, and especially at breakfast. Nescafe out of a machine, is un-drinkable. Lastly, we did not enjoy any cocktail that the bar tenders attempted to make. Not so bad, as there is a particularly good bar, at the back of the hotel that did splendid drinks of all kind.

Great hotel and location

This was our second visit to H10 conquistador only this time we booked Privilege accomodation - great when you arrive because you hand over your passport and then asked what drink you would like and seated whilst your luggage is taken to your room. We were then told of what is included under the Privilage package.

There is a lounge and sunbathing area on the roof of the hotel where you can help yourself to drinks and small snacks left there throughout the day.There is also a small Privilage sunbathing area by the main pool but drinks have to be paid for there.

Only chritisism of the hotel - the lifts are very small and slow and also the rooms could benefit greatly by adding extra drawer space especially in bedside tables because nowhere to put personal bits and bobs.

overall a great chain of hotels and the staff are great

The hotel is fine a little dated but clean and the food was good with plenty of choice, could have been warmer. The spa was excellent pool was nice and warm for 12 euros each good value. Not much parking only the area in front of reception so if unlucky then you have a major problem no street parking as the hotel is on the beach front.

The whole place needs a decent clean, and the pool is full of broken tiles, chipped stone and cut myself regularly. The room floor was dirty, tiles chipped and grout disgusting. Very much needs an overhall. It was not a 4 star hotel id put it at a low 3 star. given the cost of everything to it realyl is a shame. You will need to ensure you pay highly for a nice room with a view or better facilities. real shame. Was £40 a day just to add all inclusive! far to expensive. There was half the loungers needed to, spent most of the holiday on the beach, despite being told it was not allowed to reserve loungers many had towels on prior to breakfast. We chose this hotel as it looked step above others , in a quiet part of town (which it was) but was left very disappointed and was awful value for what we paid.
