Our first visit to Tenerife and this hotel was marvellous. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice, we paid for the larger patio with pool on the patio - this was cold which was a little disappointing. Though there is a tap to add water, most of the time it only offered cold/cool water. The pool may have heated more on other patios that received more sun but ours was in shade except for a 1-2 hrs/day. Close to the beach and many restaurants, shops, nightlife and there is a long boardwalk area that you can walk along the coast for miles/kms!

Just had a lovely stay at the Cleopatra Palace. Hotel is in a great spot, right on the front, use your room key to open gate onto the front. Hotel is situated on the golden mile, so many choices for food and drink and plenty of shops.
Staff were friendly, breakfast had a good selection. Plenty of sun beds by the pool (pool was a bit cold). Only downside is the hotel is starting to look tired, needs renovating but other than that! It’s our 2nd stay and will be back again.

Wonderful!!

This place is awesome! The staff were attentive and nice. The room was comfortable and very clean. Rooms were cleaned every day if you wanted. Breakfast was very plentiful with a ton of variety. Close to everything you would need and next to the beach. Plenty of sun loungers and the pool and grounds always clean. Not one complaint with our stay and will definitely recommend. The hotel is well positioned for the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Our room was a little close to the nearby karaoke bar.
Breakfast provided a good choice and we loved listening to the pianist in the morning.
The hotel is a little crowded, particularly around the pool where people are allowed to reserve beds all day (but aren't using them) requiring guests to move people's towels in order to find a place to sunbathe.
The rooms are basic and lacking any luxury but the beds are comfortable and everything was in working order.

Pool area was well maintained and plenty of sun beds. Only negative for the hotel was the fact that there was no shop .. there was a shop in the sister hotel med palace but no acess until after 6 pm. Also the entertainment was only in the sister hotel..

Great view and easy access to the beach. Make sure you have an international adapters for your computer and cell phones. We ended up having to buy 2. The breakfast was tasteless, fruit tasted like it came out of a can and coffee was awful. Food from room service was very good.

The Cleopatra Palace is just a really nice hotel! Very well located on a stretch of golden sandy beach. Many rooms at the front of the hotel have a sea view balcony offering that refreshing sea breeze when you are sitting out enjoying the relaxing sound of the waves rolling in! We loved this hotel, we upgraded to pool room over looking Mediterranean hotel. I did water aerobics in our pool to theirs aqua areobics each day! We also had sea view. The maids came every day, work very hard, staff at breakfast are kind, friendly and also work hard. The reception team are warm, helpful, there was nothing not be pleased to help with. The concierge, charming- you are treated lovingly by all staff so hats off to you all! The building is 30 years old, still is outstandingly beautiful in architecture, romantic in nature but just needs a little tlc as all 30 year old buildings do. I hear it is due to a renovation soon, I cant wait to come back and see!
It’s right on beach and smack bang in golden mile, ideal location being surrounded by bars and restaurants. The pool little cold and small but we went over to the Mediterranean- although it’s 27€ per room unless you wait till after 6 for cards to work. We enjoyed the ‘History’ show that’s underneath hotel in huge auditorium. You can get discount if stay at cleopatra. Breakfast was great selection but after 10 days was too repetitive, but the beautiful pianist, whose talent is incredible, is worth to attend just to hear her play 💛
The beds are big roomy and comfy, high ceilings, dark and quiet rooms, the terrace was a dream with pool, comfy sun loungers, parasol, outside shower, we hardly left it. Bathroom lovely with nice toiletries, hot water a good pressure on shower. I recommend here and can’t wait to return!.

Being greeted with a glass of Champagne was a very good start. Inside, the hotel looked like a Hollywood set, as was the pool area - a space fit for Cleopatra herself. The breakfast had excellent choices and open for a good time. No in-house restaurant for dinner at this time, which was disappointing, but the main street was 2 minutes away and full of eating places. The beach was outside the front door as was the promenade, which went around the whole bay area. An excellent place to holiday.

Stayed here some years ago, so knew the local. We only popped to Tenerife for 2 nights (yes, it’s perfectly doable as a short break). We had a 3rd floor room with sea view. Bed was comfy and lovely view. Would recommend.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights to extend our holiday. We had just came from the Hard Rock Hotel which was Amazing!
However we wanted to be more local to everything so we booked the Cleopatra from the reviews-which are currently very good, I think these reviews were written in the 1980s as this hotel is VERY outdated.
Oliver greeted us at reception who was absolutely amazing, what a kind and professional man. We explained everything with the sister hotels, food recommendations and explained the maps of the hotel throughly.
Upon going to the room me and my partner were distraught!!
Very outdated, small television which was probably made in 2002, artex walls and ceiling which look like they have been painted over about 100 times. Dry poo on the bidet!!!
We immediately went down to by the pool which was empty, went into the sister hotel which was the Mediterranean, we were immediately blown away with the difference in the quality of everything!!!
So within an hour we had checked in and checked out of the Cleopatra and moved into the Mediterranean for a 28 euro additional fee.

Unfortunately, the room had a kettle, but lacked any tea or coffee cups.
The tv reception was poor on ocassion.
Our main issue, was the NOISE, situated close to the Hard Rock Cafe, the room should have sound proof windows!!
We should have been told & received the option to move!!

First, the staff was AMAZING! All the way around! My only complaints are, the room was very dated! The bed was not comfortable at all. Did not get a good night’s rest the entire time I was there! It was my 40th bday and I just didn’t enjoy the room. For the price, you’re def paying for the beach! It’s convenient to a lot of things, but the hotel itself, wouldn’t stay again. I’d prob stop by and say hello to the front desks though! Wouldn’t stay again until the rooms improved. Staff, keep doing what you do!

We cannot think of one negative thing to say about this wonderful hotel. The location is perfect right on the beach, the pool area is beautiful, breakfast is excellent, all staff are so friendly and helpful, the pianist every morning at breakfast is lovely. It’s such a shame they are closed most of next year for refurbishment as we would have definitely booked again - and we never usually go back to a hotel so that shows what a wonderful place this is. We will definitely return once it reopens - we highly recommend it.

The staff was professional and courteous. The hotel and hotel grounds are beautiful. We called the front desk for kettle and coffee cups since the room didn't have and both arrived in a timely manner. Very good food and bar options. Hotel is within walking distance from restaurants, bars and shopping. My only issue is the hotel website should include the fact that there is an extra charge for using the gym and the chaise lounges on the beach. These are usually included in the cost of hotel/room. Guests at hotel are able to use the pool and eat at restaurant with Mediterrean Hotel which is hotel nedt to Cleopatra. Overall, I would.highly recommend this hotel.

Great location on the beach and easy access to everything you need . Everywhere was very clean. Spacious room but dated decor. We also overlooked the building work in the neighbouring hotel and patio doors not particularly sound proof. Did have a sea view from balcony which was great. Lots of wardrobe and draws plus free safe and aircon. Bathroom more modern. Pool area is spacious and not issue getting beds. Buffet breakfast had lots of choices to accommodate all. Staff extremely helpful at check in and check out .

Sadly, our recent stay did not go well - We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and we have always been impressed and pleased with our stay. However, on this occasion there has been a major change in attitude of management and guest services - rude, not listening and unwilling to listen and not understanding and unwilling to understand. Certainly we were not treated as VIP and felt treated as Low Life - As a senior doctor and nurse, we were officially reprimanded by Guest services for celebrating my Birthday on the balcony at midnight - we were not noisy or drunk. My wife is Registered Blind in the UK and partially Deaf - this was not listened to or understood. The second day, after dinner in town for my Birthday, I was unwell coming home and needed to rest and lie down to fend off a bout of nausea - I have Crohn’s Disease which can cause nausea and sickness after eating - We were shouted out in the hotel and reprimanded for bad behaviour - We were not listened to about my Crohn’s Disease and not understood. Guest services stated repeatedly that it was ‘Not Their Concern’ !! They were only concerned about other guests. We were then quite abruptly asked to leave the hotel the morning after at 11am and told to pack and leave the room within 15 minutes - We were told Management had made this decision but we were not allowed to discuss this with management or guest services. We were escorted out of the hotel with our case and bags with nowhere to stay !!

This hotel was perfection. From start to finish the architecture, atmosphere and aesthetics were incredible.
The food was lovely, the only one downfall was the quality of coffee, it wasn’t very strong.
The location was excellent. The pianist who played with breakfast was sensational.
The excursions lady was excellent.
It was the first holiday for me and my partner and I couldn’t fault it.
I would revisit in a heartbeat.

The best location in the area. (this year!!!)

The location and the breakfast are fantastic.
The team will make all they can to make your stay the best as they can. (thanks to Deil, Antonio, and others).
The clean, sandy beach is just outside of the hotel.
Go early and take the right side- it's less crowded and the waves are calmer.
By the hotel, you will find huge amount of restaurants and shops, and it was very safe to walk around.
Don't miss the sunset by the Starbucks' beach.
Last thing: don't miss the spa with it's heated seawater pool.

And now the \"not so good\" stuff :
1- the front of the hotel is the \"Hard Rock Cafe\" but you will not hear the noise.
2- To the opposite, the outside right wing suffers from the street parties till 11:30pm. (rooms 3xxx)
3- The rooms on the outside left wing (7xxx) are quit at evenings and nights but during the day there was some light construction noise from the opposite hotel.
I think that maybe it will open by the end of next year
(Dec 2024). So after then, consider choosing the rooms with the pool view .
4. If you like a really hot Jacuzzi, please remember that the outside one is only 27 degrees centigrade.
the inside one is about 33-34.
