I booked the Mediterranean Palace when the official hotel for my business conference, the Makedonia Palace, was full. I selected this property based on its Hotels.com profile. It was a long walk…1.6 miles. However, I believe that this hotel was in a more favorable location. Aristotle Square is definitely the place to stay based on my experience. Mediterranean Palace was smaller; but the staff was definitely 5 star in terms of attention and service. American travelers will be well attended, and will feel quite comfortable. You do not need to worry about any problems here.

Enjoyed our stay at the lovely Meditteranean Palace. Location is very nice near the water and many restaurants in the Ladadika area. Busy road nearby, however, with some traffic noise (probably the same in many areas of Thessaloniki).

I absolutely loved my stay at the Mediterranean palace! I was there for one of my best friends’s weddings from New York, Marianthi Foutzitsis. I stayed in a room solo the day of July 8 as unfortunately, my flight was delayed by a day. The room I was in that day was excellent comfortable. I was additionally at the hotel between July 9 to the 13th. I absolutely loved my stay. I loved going to the pool and walking around the neighborhood. It’s such a wonderful place to stay in Thessaloniki. Breakfast is incredible and all the staff at the hotel are so kind and helpful.

Great hotel, newly renovated room with nice shower instead of tub. It would be nice if we got a free bottle of water for each day (stayed 4 nights) but they only give one bottle for each stay. You need to buy water from the minibar or outside after the initial bottle. Other than that, the place is very nice. Great concierge Stella who showed us all the places to visit.

The property is well kept and the staff eager to help with a smile. The only unfortunate part of my stay was the slippery bathtub with two tape strips for friction. My arrival day I fell and injured my rib cage. The front desk had housekeeping come up right away to add one more strip to the bathtub. I do highly recommend bathtub mats to avoid such incidents for future guests. That was my only downside of my stay. Got a much needed massage the day after my fall at the spa, nice and relaxing. The wait staff in Cookcoo Restaurant for breakfast, super professional and attentive. All around a good, if a bit sore , stay.

Great location. 2 minutes walk from the beautiful promenade as well as the buzzing Aristotelous Square. Great night life with great restaurants and clubs (even a strip club) surrounding the hotel. Friendly staff and good general cleanliness. If there is one thing they can improve, it would be the gym which needs a bit of an upgrade.

Beautiful hotel, amazing breakfast. But there are some bitter experience too. First of all, the outside noise, impossible to sleep. Also we supposed to get a bottle of vine as silver members of Hotels.com. We had to ask twice, finally got it, a terrible one, impossible to drink.

Location is perfect edge of nightlife easy access to port and public transport. We were not offered parking but made use of public parking outside which was €15 for 24 hours so fair.
Breakfast was nice with good selection however plates cold, food not hot, drink service very slow.
Sound insulation from external traffic was very good, bed was super comfy with black out curtains slept very well.
Overall would recommend and stay again as the prime location and sleep make up for the minor issues.

First,hotel is said to be 5 stars. And it is far away from 5 stars; maximum 4 stars. I pad accomodation for 3 persons and it was written that I would have 2 large double beds. In fact we got 2 twin beds and one small bed as a toy. I complained and it was said that they do not have rooms with two large double beds,that it was mistake. They moved us to the room with 2 twin beds and one sofa bed. It was not what we paid for.

The aircon seems like wasn't working at all. It's so warm in then room in the summer. Also, as silver plus member in Expedia, I received an email that hotel will offer a bottle of wine but I gave 2 reminders yet no one bother about it. First time, the reception said will deliver to me. After whole morning no one came. When I checking out I recheck, another lady then said system shown delivered. I said no, and she said OK I will feedback and gave me a blank look. Hotel also facing 2 pubs blast music real loud till mid night at least 3am. While we checked in at 1.30am, the music still too loud over the lousy sound prrof room.

We had been staying up in Zagori for a few days and our flight did not leave till Friday morning - so decided to have an overnight stay in Thessaloniki - I choose The Mediterranean palace because of location and a sea view room was available at a reasonable price .
The Hotel was as I expected with the service of a 5 star hotel. The room was smaller than expected- and only had a shower - when I would have preferred a bath - but was OK for an overnight stay - we could of had a bath - but would have sacrificed the view - which in the end did not matter - as it was raining !! Decent breakfast and was included in the cost - so was very reasonable for what I had paid

Older hotel, nicely updated and just one block off the waterfront. The only downside was that it was pretty noisy at night. The hotel is at the intersection of busy and loud and on a Friday or Saturday night the sound of the street comes in even with the windows closed. On the plus side, you're right at the edge of the Ladika district and walking distance to Tower and the Archaeology Museum.
