This is a hidden gem in the middle of Las Americas. So close to the beach, shops and restaurants but is really quiet and peaceful. Staff are attentive and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. We will be back to stay here again.

Lovely hotel and staff very helpful and friendly. Great location. The negative is that we got charged £530.00 for a Gala Dinner on New Years Eve that we didn’t book but were told is was compulsory. People should be made aware of this prior to them checking in. Disputing this charge with the hotel currently

5 Star Boutique Style Hotel

What a fantastic hotel. Not your usual holiday hotel (rectangular and white) with many nooks and crannies to relax in. Breakfast was divine. Must try the Guanchito poached eggs cheese vegetables avacado on a fried tortilla. Staff were friendly and wanted to help. Room spacious quiet and comfortable. Would stay again.

Luxurious hotel but has quite a few little issues meaning that our expensive stay was spoiled a little.

Great pool, staff service and stunning breakfast.

Surprised there was no free parking for guests, it costs €12 per day. The pool waterfall didn't work for the whole stay. Air conditioning in the room is poor and didn't get below 23 degrees centigrade. The spa was not open so we couldn't book treatments or use our two free passes. Many of the bars and restaurants closed.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service.

Very pleasant stay. The garden room had a terrace balcony surrounded by greenery. It was like being in an oasis. A gem of an hotel in the middle of a busy area. Will hope to return if coming to Tenerife again

the room I booked for my mother and I was a TWIN BEDDED ROOM, when we arrived we were given a large DOUBLE BED!, as you had confirmed to us it would be a twin bedded room, we booked it, we were shown several dingy rooms with no light so we declined and asked for the room to be made a twin bedded room as we booked and had confirmed, they put in a small single bed which could have been a childs bed and I had to sleep on it, as my mother slept in the double bed, it not what we are used to, as we always stay only in 5 star hotels, and my bed I must say was very uncomfortable, the breakfasts were excellent, but there are NO 7 restaurants as advertised

Lovely Hotel in a Good Location

We had a “Garden View” room which actually saw garden, pool and sea! Room was fab and cleaned daily.
Club House great for organising car/bike rentals and a whale watching excursion for us! So helpful!
Breakfast was incredible, all your usual buffet bits but the chefs preparing omlettes eggs etc did absolute masterpieces well worth exploring their menu!

No WiFi available through the hotel, staff said there was an issue so only available in reception but still wouldn’t connect there! So a week on data was a big let down.
It boasts lots of restaurants/bars and I’m sure they’re all great but bear in mind 1 only does breakfast, 1 only does lunch, 1 shuts at 6pm and 1 only opens Saturdays... the bars generally shut early too (although I recommend sunset in the bar above the beach club) there are lots of bars and restaurants locally though!
Also we stayed 4 star with a spa last year and spa facilities were included you just paid for treatments,I was surprised here it was €15 for 1 hour and you should book, but when we went to book the woman was very abrupt saying she was busy and we could book tomorrow. She then decided we should go in immediately.

Very dissapointed that a 5 star hotel allowed guests to reserve sun beds with towels, especially as many never used them till after 1pm. Unfortunitly it seemed people from a certain country that is renowned for this were the main culprits. This should NOT be allowed, take up your sun bed when you are using it. If left for more than 1 hours then towlels should be removed for other guests to use.

Everything about this hotel lived up to its reputation. From the moment we arrived until we left there was nothing that the staff could not do for us. It is in the perfect location for beach, shops and restaurants if you want to eat out. Comfort was their top priority with many different sitting areas throughout the hotel. It was spotlessly clean everywhere we went and the gardens were beautifully tended. There were plenty of sun beds around different parts of the pool area which meant you never had a problem finding one. This was the perfect holiday hotel for us. Luxury at its best.

Very Nice Hotel and Great Staff

Upon arrival we were too early to check into our room but the staff at the hotel were great and offered us a Welcome Cocktail at the pool bar and took care of our baggage while they prepared our room. The room was spacious with a large king sized bed and a sofa bed for my daughter. The room was cool and quiet during the very hot evenings.
Breakfast in the morning is a big highlight. As well as the standard buffet a chef is available at a counter who will rustle up most breakfast goodies you can think of (Pancakes Omelettes, Eggs Benedict) but the highlight is a house speciality call JuanChitos (not sure of spelling!).
The pool area is really nice and not over crowded. My only minor gripe is that all the sunbeds are \"reserved\" with towels etc very early and people often don't seem to turn up to use them until well into the afternoon. Perhaps some sort of limit on this would be good.

I'll be back to this hotel next time I visit Tenerife for sure.

Beautiful Hotel in nice part of resort

Nice hotel, plenty cool spaces to relax. Pool great & shady spots no trouble getting beds. More suited to mature travellers or couples than families, but no problem with 10 Yr old. Breakfast buffet & Evening meal high standard, but evening table service restrictive after more than 7 days, felt claustrophobic by last 3 of 10 especially with child in tow. Ate at pizzeria last 2 for break, paying up front for half board - too restrictive. Should introduce buffet option in one of their other restaurants (other restaurants closed most of the time) They do include a Mexican night in one other in the tariff at weekend which was welcome change. Some rooms quite dark with Mexican Villa theme but well-appointed and relaxing. If you can afford the extra worth paying for room overlooking the pool, and confirming that, rather than being allocated a room stuck round the side looking wrong way, we didn’t pay extra and it was luck we ended up with a room and balcony looking over adjacent Santiago complex, not perfect but OK. However you could end up disappointed if left to chance. As per a 5 star hotel, bar prices expensive, they could double their pool bar trade if they knocked a bit off the prices but probably the same as most other hotels of this standard and ok for a treat cocktail now and then. Plenty shops and supermarket outside hotel to get juices, crisps etc if needed. Overall good holiday, go back? maybe, not a total wow for the money and plenty other places to try at the price.

Lovely hotel but service standards are slipping!

This was my third time at this hotel and it's normally great, however this time round I had a few negative experiences with regards to the level of service. The breakfast staff were quite rude if you arrived anytime after 10:30 despite breakfast not finishing until 11. I wasn't offered coffee a single time I was at breakfast and on checking out I wasn't asked if we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has also charged me for use of the mini bar despite the fact that I didn't have anything from it!

Mexican Themed Hotel

Wonderfully spacious and peaceful hotel with an authentic Mexican theme. Large room with plenty storage space and a comfortable bed (poor quality pillows - my only complaint) and lovely balcony. And we were delighted that the bathroom had a large bath tub which many other great hotels have replaced with walk in showers.
Breakfast had a varied selection of well presented hot and cold food with the cook to order omelettes being a work of art!
The pool and beach club were never too busy and the padded loungers were perfect.

Great hotel in a superb location

As a regular visitor to this hotel we are well aware of it's idiosyncrasies, but all in all it is a very good place to stay. The rooms are of generous proportions although some of the furniture is a little tired.
The pool area has something for everyone with plenty of sun loungers in full sun whilst there are a number of shaded areas for those who prefer to be a little cooler.
Breakfast is also worth a mention, particularly if you like your eggs done in a variety of ways. The omelettes and Eggs Benedict are particularly good.
The hotel is well located at the end of the Golden Mile with excellent access to shops and restaurants.

Probably the best Hotel in PdlA... BUT!

It is a lovely hotel, wonderfully decorated & the staff and service is brilliant. The rooms are large are comfortable, if heavily decorated. It is an oasis of style & quality in an area lacking both.
It deserves a 5, almost compatible to Red Level in Acala (Gold Standard) but it's not Adults only & for the reasons below it misses the mark.
The breakfast Omelettes & tortillas are amazing. The TIZIANO is good. it's hard to find decent non-chain TOWIE lookalike filled or basic restaurant in Playa. This, Garibaldi & Mamma Rosa are about it! Or head for Playa Duque.
The problems are technology, internal darkness &, however pleasant & helpful the staff are, service. In the restaurants can be chaotic & we were continually treated as half board (we were breakfast only). Appetisers were missed in the Pancho Villa.
The wifi; if you're a guest & want wifi in your room you have to pay for it, €42 per week . It is free around the lobby & pool area. But both suffer from very poor wifi signal & internet connection. I was buying a property back in the UK & it drove me absolutely crazy!
TV is satellite, for English channels reception VERY patchy. Don't settle in for the night as you'll end up screaming when the signal disappears at the right moment.
Some of the areas of the hotel are VERY dark. The designer needs a slap. A couple of times we saw older people nearly falling down stairs in the corridors & the hotel is also a maze.
Such a shame spoilt by a few simple, but important, things.

The food is delicious and service first class. In fact the service throughout the hotel is first class. It's difficult to single someone out but Erica on reception and Jive in the restaurant really excel.

Great Hotel, excellent staff, close for the beach

Hotel in Mexican style also into the detail, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast, board choices. We had half board, so it also included dinner. Professional Chief at work in the kitchen, was excellent as well. Location is a good one, close to a very modern shopping center with a lot of entertainment and also directly to the beach.

2 Points of improvement:
1. The hotel could improve the service at the Brauhaus, personal to service was sometimes hard to find.
2. Some more modern entertainment in the hotel bar, this would certainly attract more customers.

Nice hotel but under staffed

The holtel is awesome. Unfortunatelly they are really short of staff.
I am very patient but waiting for a coffee at breakfast equals the time i queued in less pretentious hotels. And that was day after day. Similar waiting for an omlette. the ches takes an order and the goes on leave behind the doors. A new chef returns an i had to repeat the order. Th pool area can get dirty and there is seldom staff to tidy up. The hotel does look deserted of staff and very seldom there is a porter at the entrance. I have asked for a kettle and they took a very very long time to bring it, when they did their excuse was they were busy with a VIP in the hotel. So some paying guests are more VIP than the other. Not nice.

An almost perfect hotel apart from limited wifi access, only free around reception area, and sunbed booking. Why does a 5 star hotel not provide free wifi everywhere? You can pay 1 euro for a beer in Playa and get free wifi yet a 4 euros beer by the pool at rgw Cortes won't. Sunbed policy is you can only book for an hour but this is not enforced meaning you struggle to get a bed by the pool while the vast majority are empty. However apart from that excellent hotel and well worth a visit.

This is a fabulous hotel, our room was absolutely fantastic with a great view of las Amaerricas and the sea. The hotel staff were so pleasant and friendly they couldn't do enough for you. The hotel amenities were excellent. The food was first class. The hotel grounds were fabulous and so tranquil, the hotel was totally relaxing. The only thing we found people eat out rather than eat in the hotel which was a shame. Overall a fabulous hotel

Nice hotel with wonderful staff

Hotel staff were fantastic.
The hotel director was seen speaking with guests on a daily basis and very accommodating.
Breakfast quality and choice was excellent, with good chefs and efficient waiting staff. Diego was extremely courteous and friendly.
Good sized pool and comfortable sun beds, often spoiled by the greed of some Europeans.
Nice little poolside bar managed by a great barman from Cuba called Andy.
Cleaning maids did a superb job in cleaning the room daily.
Great hotel bar on the sea front to have a cocktail or beer and watch the sunset. Good DJs and comfortable sofas.
The only minor issue was the hotel had acquired a Smiths Machine in the gym, but no Olympic sized weights so nothing to load. Spoke to health spa staff who were going to follow it up.

Stay for 7 nights from 18 June this was our second stay at this hotel and everything was absolutely great. Rooms are beautiful, maid service is outstanding, all staff very friendly and helpful and location of hotel is brilliant.
Breakfast is absolutely 5 star, omelettes are outstanding and the chefs are so very friendly.
We are certainly planning on returning.

We had a great stay at Village Cortes. The room we had was a garden view. It was overlooking the pool but nicely screened by trees. the room was lovely and the bed really comfortable.
Breakfast was really good. Excellent choice at the buffet and the omelets were great! Try the Mexican one!
The pool area was nice and there was a beach area as well.

5 star experience - wonderful

From the moment we arrived to the time we left the friendly attentive staff made us feel welcome and at home. Even the General manager made daily rounds to talk to guests and listen to their comments. Decorated in a colourful Mexican hacienda style it is beautifully appointed throughout with a number of quiet secluded areas in the grounds around the hotel and pool. The pool area is delightful, has an island and waterfall in front of a covered grotto, a children's pool and includes areas shaded by trees. There is a private beach area and bar restaurant accessed through the spa. The rooms were very well appointed as you would expect from a top hotel. The location could not be better for access to a wonderful range of top quality restaurants, bars, shops and nightlife within 10 minutes walk. The only criticism is that there was no coffee or tea maker in the room, free wifi only in the lobby area and room service is a little limited and pricy. Overall a hotel deserved of its top rating.

Villa Cortes ..... 5* value and comfort

Fantastic hotel, fantastic food and staff and a great chill out time. There is a massive development process on-going in the resort, which when complete will only add to the overall package. There are great nearby restaurants and bars with a huge choice of tastes to suit every need. The only thing missing, and it is a minor fault, was a kettle in our room. Otherwise we got exactly what we paid for..a 5* experience that was good value for money. Thanks Villa Cortes.

Perfect

Fantastic Hotel, worthy of it's 5 Star rating. Location perfect, despite some road works going on around the hotel. You will not find better food in any London Restaurant, absolutely top drawer. I would also say it was the most relaxing hotel I have ever stayed at, and the sun beds were so comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant and could not do enough for you. All in all just perfect, and to top it off, I believe it was great value for money.

Is this a nice hotel..Yes. Is this a 5* hotel...No

This is a lovely hotel, but rooms are very very dark, wifi which you have to pay for does not work, no turn down service, pool man putting towels on beds in the morning for some people who don't turn up till 2pm! no bottle of water everynight and having to wait over 1hr to get a drink! THIS IS NOT WHAT I WOULD CALL 5*
Also very upset Hotels.com did not tell us about all the work being done right next to the hotel, all day every day apart from a Sunday.
We also had to complain to the manager about rudeness and lack of service.
The grounds are very very nice. Breakfast is amazing the Chef makes everything look like a picture you could hang on your wall and it tastes fantastic for these reasons we would go back.

Relax

Very relaxing hotel that sometimes is to relaxing
Beech bar needs more staff as does the pool bar.
Should be free wifi and tea coffee in room
