The mattress on the bed was in terrible condition. The staff was polite. The water in the children's pool was heated only for three days, after cleaning the pool the water was not heated, the child had nowhere to swim.

For the price I was very impressed with hotel. Rooms were very clean, half board food was good and wide variety. Even free beer and wine with dinner. Staff were very friendly. One negative would be the paper thin walls but overall very good hotel

The hotel was ok for what we wanted it for, a lads holiday, but as hotels go, it was very poor.
Very noisy, people shouting into the early hours, banging and crashing from the rooms above. It’s a good job I read the reviews beforehand and took earplugs.
Food was really bad to the point I started to buy breakfast at the little cafe on site. You have to pay to use the safe in your room, a euro deposit for cups by the pool and the lifts are incredibly slow.
The rooms were ok ish, but were often not cleaned despite me putting the sign on the door.
My biggest bug bare was everything shutting at midnight and after that you can’t get anything, despite being all inclusive. There is a couple of vending machines in the reception, but they didn’t work and I ended up going out to a supermarket at 2am to get some water.
Like I said, ok for what we wanted it for, but you can’t dress it up as anything better than terrible.

There’s something disarming about KN Aparthotel Columbus in Tenerife. It isn’t flashy or trying to sell you an illusion. Three nights here on my own felt less like an escape and more like a quiet reset. The balcony views stretch wide and forgiving, the poolside hums with a rhythm that makes you forget the clock, and the staff move with that easy island grace that says, “no rush, you’re here now.”

Breakfast is unpretentious—coffee that wakes you up, eggs that mean business, fruit that reminds you why it grew here. At night, the bar comes alive with travelers from everywhere, bonded by sunburns, laughter, and cheap rum poured with generosity. Step outside, and the pulsing heart of Playa de las Américas reminds you that solitude and chaos can share the same street.

This isn’t a five-star sanctuary. It’s better than that—it’s real. KN Columbus doesn’t try to impress; it invites you to let go. Sometimes, that’s all you need.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. Check in was so simple and room was ready early. Staff are so friendly and helpful, felt very safe as a solo traveler . Very comfortable beds. Lots of choice food and drink. Despite it being extremely busy, I never heard and noise at night. So many beds and areas for relaxing and sunbathing. Would recommend and will be returning.

The front rooms of the hotel overlook an extremely busy and noisy road
Couldnt sit on the balcony due to noise and fumes. Couldnt get room changed. The overall noise in the dining area was worse than a school dining hall. Staff at reception on our arrival extremely rude. Will never stay there again

Unfortunately what let it down was they allowed people to vape in the dining room which was unpleasant and the dress code needs to be addressed there were people walking around in very minimal revealing clothing which was very offputting when trying to enjoy a nice meal . Over all a good stay and a great room .

Reading the reviews beforehand I was a bit apprehensive but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Yes our room was dated but clean. The rooms at the other side of the building had been recently renovated. The food in this hotel was superb for a 3*. Selection of meats every day and night. Only downside of the pool was at this time of year it was shaded after 3 but there is terraces where u can move to get the sun. Staff were friendly and rooms cleaned daily. Very central location. Had a great holiday and would definitely return.

Only 1 bar for drinking, which was inside. You weren’t allowed inside from the pool, which is understandable - but limiting the bar area to a small bar inside is pretty poor.
Entertainment was poor at best. Activities during the day seemed OK - but I wouldn’t stay again for an all inclusive.
Pool timings weren’t the best, bar timings weren’t the best - especially as this was an all inclusive.

Food however was always good.
All rooms had 2 single beds, not the best for couples.

This hotel was a very nice stay as a solo traveler all inclusive. Friendly polite staff, clean, big and nicely air conditioned room. Very tasty food and a good pool area. Only complaint I have was at lunchtime as the restaurant was closing I had finished my food and was getting myself a cup of juice in a cardboard cup to take out and a female staff member was rude about it. I understand that they were closing but I paid money for all inclusive and pouring myself a drink would take about 10 seconds and I was on my way out anyway.

A value for money trip. Food was ok, place was clean. The main downside was the cleaning trolleys which moved up and down the open plan corridors from 7am until after 3pm. Forget about long lies and siestas. It was like lying in a train station.

Staff at reception are fantastic and probably underpaid for the complaints they have to listen to.
The hotel needs a major revamp. The room we arrived to was like a prison cell, actually a prison cell would have been cleaner. The headboard was brown metal, the desk was brown metal and the side tables, they actually looked like rusty furniture. The bed was as hard as the road and the room was disgusting. The floor, the dirt on the front of the brown fridge, the light switches were dirty, the pillow cases had blood stains on them. We complained about the room and wanted to change. It was an upgrade but no palace. Stains on sheets, floor dirty, crumbs all over the bench but it done rightly for the nights we were there. We travel often and we have never experienced so many people complaining at reception, it was unbelievable. We probably paid over the odds for this hotel as it was between Christmas and new year but unless you are getting a real bargain and are a deep sleeper as the noise of people passing the room, talking and shouting, don’t care about living in a dirty jail cell then knock it up!

Greeted nicely and check in all fine.
Wasnt sure why we need to wear wristbands for self catering , got told by security to wear one even though he saw me every day i was there. Wasnt going to wear it all holiday.
The room was in need of re vamp , the bed was rock solid., cleaners started too early being loud, the sensor on the bathroom light looked smashed in and kept turning itself on and off during the night. The hotel was just too noisy could hear everything outside the room.

Just enjoyed 6 nights in kn columbus room cleaned every day to a good standard, check in staff excellent, had a street facing room a bit noisy at night but i didnt mind got the room at a great rate ,if your a light sleeper it might not suite you, didn't eat there so cant comment on the food ,bottom line its not 5 star so dont expect it,if you want clean rooms in a good location with air con its fine .

Cheap and cheerful. Rooms were ok, AC and shower worked fine. During the day, the hotel was fine. The pool area is clean and big. No major rush for loungers. Music commences around 10am and finishes at 3pm. Noise can be heard at night, people returning early hours in the morning was a pain. It looked like security were introduced back end of the week, so would have been interesting to see if this would have improved.

Would consider staying again if I were to return to Tenerife.

Rooms were dated, tired and internal doors and windows faulty/broken. Room door had issues opening/closing, we were locked out of our room and had to seek replacement keycards from reception. Bedrooms were very loud as they were situated next to a hallway. Bathroom had broken tiles and toilet seat. Bathroom window looked onto stairwell so if the window was open people could see into our shower.

Came here in December.Very central for las Américas. Staff great, as i had requested a move on the 2nd day of which i got as wanted a pool view reception side as it gets the sun on the balcony. Gave the girls a box of chocs for this as really appreciated it. All 5 uk channels on the tv too if youre staying in any night. Went self catering for 7 days then all inc for an additional 4. Kept my same room but you can ask for a room with a kitchen even if youre all inc. Stayed here before in a room with no kitchen as i was all inc...so didnt realise you could request this on your initial booking. No sun on the pool in the winter but plenty of sun lounger spots should you be a sun worshipper like me. Very clean and modern rooms. Defo come back again.

This hotel ticks all the boxes, friendly helpful staff, great location, lovely pools,lovely rooms,great showers, very comfortable beds, lovely team organising sports events during the days, the all inclusive was very good plenty of choices to suit all tastes, was there for Two weeks, and during a few nights there was quite an amount of noise, but for the large size of the hotel, that can be expected on the odd occasion but overall we had a great experience and would recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here again. Myself and 4 others checked in at the same time. It appears I pressed the wrong button when paying for the stay and was charged £401. Everybody else with me paid £366. All within 5 minutes. I queried this with the receptionist who wasn’t interested and told to check in the morning. I did this and the next receptionist wasn’t interested either. He rushed me into pressing the £ button and not the € button. Not happy

Some of the reviews on here are quite unfair. The hotel is scrupulously clean which continues into the early evening. Every member of staff I encountered was friendly & welcoming.
The food in the restaurant is Ofcourse buffet style why would it not be? Catering for a full hotel is not likely to be Al la carts is it?! There was a different theme for each lunch/evening per day. For example oriented, Italian etc. There were Ofcourse the normal staples like chips on the menu, again why would you expect anything different?
The resort is las Americas so therefore rowdiness is to be expected too, if you want a quiet beach holiday pick a different resort. Yes there was noise some nights more than others but at the end of the day it’s not a prison camp! Live & let live. With regards to entertainment on my 1st few days there wasn’t any but there was a refurbishment going on in the room itself, and then different activities either by the poolside or elsewhere resumed.
I enjoyed my stay & apart from some noise by muppets in the middle of the night, I recommend the hotel itself.

3 Day All-Inclusive Stay Review

The check-in process was straight forward and even though we arrived early for check in, we still received our All-Inclusive bands therefore we were able to be fed & watered before we could go into the Room!

The room was genuinely OK with a spacy balcony, the only flaw was the bottom part of the Bathroom door was rotting away.

Bar Service was particularly slow, unfortunately there was only one member of staff serving behind the bar with a bit of a temper at any one time probably due to COVID so can understand in that respect.

Unfortunately also the Gym was inaccessible due to COVID but the Pool facilities are quite large and there is enough open space to keep your distance from other guests.

The food itself was OK, not the greatest but not the worst I had ever experienced. In the restaurant the service was quick & polite.

Although the hotel is in a good location and the rooms are clean I didn’t have a very good stay. It was my first trip away on my own and the noise of the two rooms were terrible. I hardly slept in the 6 days I was there . I had to go down the reception and ring several times. On departure the lady in the desk said she had thrown the other guests out but that was no help to me as my holiday was spoilt and over. I have emailed the hotel but am still waiting for a reply.

Only complaint (if any) we was on the 4th floor and the hard wood flooring in all areas was in need of a refurb. Hotel has improved since refurbishment. Studio room was nice and spacious and clean. Open shower was great. Only downside to room was lack of storage area and the mattress was still the old ones, other rooms had memory foam. Pool area spotless and pool cleaned most days. Was self catering so didn't use dining area or bars. There was a lot of noise during the night from other guests returning to their rooms in the early hours, shouting and arguing. No security came to move them along, im sure this could be heard at reception as we were only on 1st floor. All staff we encountered were very pleasant. Will return again.

Air conditioning was broken, then had to complain to booking agents before hotel manager would change rooms. Then after changing room the shower was broken, but to be fair they repaired the same day.

Sun beds are terrible, most are broken. Not enough umbrellas and you have to cue up from 7am if you want a sun bed. Reception staff customer service is very poor

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and staff just added an extra mattress. The issue was that the frame had collapsed prior to our visit so we ended up putting the mattresses on the floor and sleeping there instead. Kitchen area was too small to cook anyth8ng and there was absolutely nowhere to put any food anyway save for a box of cereal and teabags. Lots of noise from the road outside and on the inside from the pool. Not a hotel to stay at of you want a relaxing break.

No words can describe how bad my stay was at this hotel. From day one I had industrial Kango(removing tiles) noise coming from rooms on both sides of me for hours on end with dust penetrating my room daily. Resulting in a chest condition now. After complaining first time was told there was a burst pipe, after second time was told they were renovating(which was obvious) knowing this work was going on I feel totally disrespected being put in this room. Also girl at check in addressed me as(dear) and not in a nice way when I complained. Unfortunately this experience leaves me unable to say anything good about his hotel.

Rooms very clean, cleaners every day,bit noisy at times other guests though. Security maybe should ask people to quite down a bit after 10pm

Good value in great location

Good location . Varied selection of food well presented .Good fish dishes and Sushi. Lots of fruit.
Dining often spoilt by foul mouth groups of mainly middle aged men unable to respect other people.

Excellent food and service but didn’t sleep well!

Being on the first floor of the all inclusive block there was a lot of noise because of the flooring and the cleaning staff seemed noisy from about 6am

Very pleasant stay, staff friendly and helpful and nice pool area. Could do with additional bathroom cabinets as nowhere really to store your toiletries other than next to the taps.
