The room was not clean. Entering the hotel, you could hardly get into the door because it was broken. What they sold online was not what I seen when I was going to check in. There was no staff at the check in counter and a few people were checking out because the rooms were so dirty. We decided not to stay at the hotel and ended up biking elsewhere.

We had a one-night stay at The Fontana Hotel. Relative clean throughout, but the floors could use a good cleaning. Found the TV remote sticky also. Breakfast was basic with no hot items.

Formerly a Marriott establishment, the hotel has a unique build with a small, but nice enclosed courtyard.

Staff was friendly. Room was fairly maintained. Bed(ding) was comfortable.

Small things I encountered were the shower head being slightly unclean and the water pressure in the toilet being rather low. Yet, everything else was functional.

Only other drawback was the room did not have a microwave, so you would have to go to the main area of the building to heat up any food. The only concessions were also located at the main desk. There are no soda or vending machines on any given floor.

Hotel offers 24/7 patoling security. Also offers access to an bar and jacuzzi in the adjacent building connected to the other hotel on the property.

Breakfast was standard fare. Location is close to restaurants and shopping (Walgreens, Aldi's, Dollar Tree.) Overall a solid experience for the stay.

We arrived and the exterior wasn’t inviting, the staff was helpful. I didn’t really like the location but overall the room was nicer than expected…
We booked a king size bed, but got two queens instead. They only have one king size bed in the hotel! 😑
Next time I’ll book in the downtown area!

The room was very clean and in order. The shower was great, as we had a wheelchair-accessible room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked great. Finding the location can be a bit tricky because the entrance is located on the back end or away from the street side.

The room floors were slippery, almost greasy. The fully stocked bar displayed in pictures, was completely enjoy. The sign to the property still displayed the old hotel name.
All of the staff was pleasant & helpful.

We checked in and checked back out about 10 minutes later. Strange shiny walls, our room and the halls smell of cigarettes, people hanging out in the parking lot. This place should be called the Fontana Motel, not hotel. Pictures and website are misleading. Staff was kind and refunded our stay.

it is a nice clean hotel with rooms face for one or two people. they turned off the hot water while I was taking a shower so activate cold shower. day fix the hot water and turn it back on and no problems after that but still. the breakfast is pretty good but the only meat or protein is hard boiled eggs. that was very helpful and responsive. air conditioning was very good and kept room very cool during 95° outside.

My room was well provisioned and quite satisfactory, although it was an accessible room, probably because I inadvertently requested one.
The hotel is, unfortunately, in a high crime neighborhood. The hotel itself has few amenities, and reminded me of a converted penitentiary: dark halls, row after row of doors without much relief. Nevrtheless, a satisfactory accommodation for a single night.

Our short, one night, stay was wonderful. After a long day of driving the check-in was easy, the hotel was clean, and smelled good. It's right next to a Marriot, which isn't important, except to know this helps because their sign isn't lit and hard to see in the dark.
All of the walls are tile, which is cool and eerie at the same time. I get it's easy to clean but it was easy for me to get lost in creativity and I talked myself into a story that this used to be a psych institution. I don't know if it was, but it was a good stay and I slept like a baby.

The check-in was pretty quick. Only one person in line in front of me. Got to the room and it is extremely clean and the AC worked very well. Beds in the pillows were extremely comfortable. And the shower was nice as well. Breakfast in the morning was a choice of cereals, waffles, and a few pastries. Coffee juice and milk also.

The front desk manager was very kind. However, she did mention that she was the only staff on the day/night of our stay. As a result, we were unable to get the pack n play that we requested for our infant. Additionally, the toilet ran all night long. Also, this area was not the safest for traveling with young children.

The hotel was difficult for us to find due to the parking lot shared with the Marriott and I somehow went in the back door of the Marriott and couldn't even find the front desk to be notified I was in the wrong place. Overall the place seems nice and the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, except all of the grouting in the bathroom could use a good scrubbing. They also provided only one small shampoo and conditioner for both my husband and me and we both have long hair. Only one bar of soap for both the shower and the sink which was odd. The breakfast was fine but no eggs, bacon, etc. Just pasteries, cereal and you could make a waffle also. We were traveling through so unsure if we would go there again.

Nice hotel. Not over the top fancy, no frills and there was NO POOL!! Breakfast was a waffle station and cereal, danishes, boiled eggs. No eggs or sausage. I had a danish and a cup of coffee and called it good. Hubby made himself a waffle. The beds were very comfortable,and there was a large tv, which made him happy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Glad we stayed there.

My family and I were disappointed in our stay at The Fontana. Water took forever to get hot at night. Trash cans in the lobby were full. House keeping did not come during our stay and a floating shelf in our room was poorly installed (not directly attached to the wall) and fell off the wall. We did not attend breakfast so I cannot not rate the breakfast. Overall, would not stay here again or recommend.

AC, fridge, toilet, shower all worked well. Room and the hotel rugs were clean. Only knock was the parking lot seemed to always have a couple locals just loitering around. We had no problems, but in general most travelers would prefer not to have loiters.

The hotel was sufficient. Small things like a major crack in the door closure, so light from the hallway shined through the door jam all night long. And charging $10 for parking my car in an open lot seemed a little hidden and last minute. But we were only one night and it worked ok, in kind of a questionable neighborhood....or so it seemed.

Overall we had a really good stay outside of the hotel was a little sketchy however the inside was very nice and accommodating staff was really great and work out room was really nice. We had a couple of issues with the air conditioning but the staff was excellent at assisting and trying to rectify any issues we had. Overall it was a great stay!

This is a very nice facility with lots of amenities. The suite was clean and there is a washer and dryer on site which was very handy as we were there for a 4-day weekend. There are a few minor little items that needed maintenance, but I informed the property management about these things and they listed each of them and said they would get right on them. There was nothing major. If you're looking for a place to stay in town for a special event like we did which was the Indianapolis 500. This is a great place to stay.

You can tell this hotel is going through a transition. The rooms were not the cleanest and the hallways are very dimly lit. If you look closely every door is beat up. One of our two rooms door chains was coming loose and the other had an A/C that was rattling very loud.

The staff was great and the continental breakfast was tasty.

I think once this hotel is affiliated with a brand again it will be a little better.

Overall, great place to stay! Not too far away from the airport or downtown. Some decent eating places close by as well.

The only thing that I was caught off guard by was the breakfast. It wasn't a priority for me personally, and based on reviews, I got ny expectations up and it wasn't close. By no means is it bad, or the hotel not good enough, but just expectations should be managed correctly. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Everything was fine, especially the friendly staff. The hotel is hard to find, because the sign on the street has the name in such small letters that it is easy to miss (we drove by twice before finding it). The room was excellent, although the faucet on the sink was loose. But otherwise a comfortable, clean hotel that is a welcome change from the usual chains.

There was no signage for the Hotel name until we got to the door of the hotel. The breakfast bar and waffle irons were dirty. The receptionist was wonderful. Our room was fine for a one night stay, but the security lock on the door was falling off the door frame and door due to loose screws. The room had some previous water damage on the ceiling.

The Fontana is a hidden gem of Indianapolis. It's tucked away and should be on bold display. I absolutely love It's beauty an̈d design. There wasn't a microwave in my room but it did have a mini refrigerator. I can't wait to go back for another stay.

First thing I noticed when checking in was that the place smelled clean, and the receptionist was extremely nice and accommodating. The outside of the building looked a little outdated, maybe because of the closed restaurant right in front of the hotel.

The only thing that bothered me was the toilet handle was a little finicky. If it wasn’t jiggled just right, the toilet wouldn’t fill back up, and the water pressure was slow to refill the tank, which made it a little inconvenient with a family.

Other than that, I would stay here again. Great rooms for the price.
