Was for a business trip. Was there for a little more than a week. The staff were very nice and helpful. Was disappointed over the toilet running every 10 minutes but again I did not report it so that they would be aware so not really the staff's fault. Overall, it was a good and will be booking again.

I was put out After paying a $170 for my room. Due to the fact not being in possession of a physical debit card to pay the deposit period I was not warned of this little policy. Prior.
And instead of helping me not have to sleep in the streets he just said there was nothing he could do.

We usually stay at Candlewood Hotels and have never had an issue. This one was a bit different, the area was rough with homeless and stragglers and parking was rough due to contruction trucks taking all the parking spots. The hallways were dirty and the elevator always had a bad smell in it. Never again would I stay at this location.

I like that the rooms are big and spacious. I like that there is a full size fridge along with sink, dishwasher, microwave, and small stove top. The only concern we had was it was warm in the bedroom and the fan didn't work.

Overall it was a good price but the front desk service sucked ! My towels smelled like yuckkk . Then my handle in the bathroom was already tore up & I made sure the front desk knew so I wouldn’t be getting charged . The area was safe , the cafe beside it was awesome . Will not be back

I stayed in room 211 on 2/3/25 and the room had been smoked in a lot at some point by previous guests. Smelled lile an effort was made to cover up smoke smell but i still smelled it. Only there 1 night so i dealt with it.

The staff where amazing and vary helpful the place for the most part was clean only complaints i have was the floors could have been mopped and swept better and the one bedroom suit could use a fan in the actual room instead of the living room only and last but not least they should upgrade the old tv out for roku or smart tv that way people could just use they're account and stream of the tv instead of hotel paying for cable but ill definitely use this hotel when ever i visit Charlotte north carolina again

TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! I had a sleepover for my little girl(3-4 kids) the original room was FILTHY!!!!!!!!!! Legit had dog hair all on the couch I almost threw up then the nice lady gave us another room and that one was dirty as well!!!! I understand no one wants to work but you would think the manager would help clean or something especially with all of the diseases going around!! I couldn’t even let my babies sleep there because the sheets were dirty and stained!!! We literally had to pack up in the middle of the night and drive all the way home!! The lady said she will give me Half of my money back but I still have yet to see it! She was nice but very nonchalant I guess because she really couldn’t do anything but that’s not her fault. The whole 3rd floor was stink asf and the trash was piled up by the elevator . There were weird men at the pool trying to talk to my children … I thought this was the nice part of town but I guess I was dead wrong! I only booked here because of last minute plan changes !

the hotel was nice, right off the interstate. The only issue I had was I was given a different room than the one I reserved on orbitz. The hotel staff said it was orbitz fault not theirs. I reserved a 2 queen bed suite with a sofa and lounge chair, but got a studio with 2 queen beds and only the chair. The hotel said orbitz reservation sent to them by orbitz was for the room I got. They said they were sold out of rooms with the sofa's, and it was Not their fault but orbitz I got the incorrect room. Basicly the Hotel Staff took no blame for my not getting the room I reserved.

The hotel was located in a reasonable distance to Carowinds, the reason for our stay. The check-in went smoothly but once we got to our rooms, we were a little disappointed. It had a weird smell and although the hotel is listed as smoke-free, there was obviously several people smoking inside the hotel. The rooms were pretty clean, just a little outdated. They had ONE luggage cart but decent relief areas for pets.

The staff was very professional and made me feel welcome my entire stay! I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel and will be staying here again! 👍

Week Long Business Trip Would Not Stay Again

Due to COVID 19 I would expect that the rooms would have been thoroughly cleaned. Which they were not!! Definitely need to travel with your Lysol and Clorox wipes during these unforeseen times. There was a layer of dust build up on top of the fridge, which was an indication housekeeping just don't wipe down everything after each check out. The dispensers in the shower had a white film build up, that I didn't even touch another indication. The floors were not clean. The clothe chairs had satins on them, which I didn't sit in at all disgusting, when they get like that they should be replaced or get furniture with build in stain protection, paid the extra money!! The shower is due for upgrade/makeover too much patching when just need to upgrade completely. There was only 3 out of the 7 washer and dryer combo which was operating the others were out of service on the 1st floor. The bed was very comfortable, which is what I remember from a previous Candlewood stay years ago pre-covid and the staff was friendly. Overall would I stay at this location again, probably not. All hotels need to do a lot better with proper cleaning, and travelers need to be prepare to do a deep cleaning as well.

The room had a smoke odor, The guests were smoking just outside the entrance, my room was close to the entrance. The receptionist offered me a different room, it was dated and the floor was not clean and I did not like how it smells. She said the odor in that room was from the floor polish. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating, she tried to help but the second room was worst than the first so I stayed in the first. The walls were thin, I could hear everything the next door occupants were saying in their room. I was awakened by a dog barking in one of the rooms.

I had multiple issues with my stay at candlewood. The check in process was relatively easy and timely. The receptionist was really nice and got us in our room quickly. Upon arriving in our room, the room was nice; aesthetically pleasing, lots of room.
The first issue was the bathroom. It wasn’t cleaned properly. There was hair in the sink, almost like someone shaved their beard. Then the pluming in the shower was another thing. The water would not go down. Even after turning on the shower head, there was still a puddle in the tub.

I know this was out of the control of the hotel, but the hotel keys stopped working. The staff was really nice about letting everyone into their rooms with the master key. They also had the issues fixed quickly.

The room very comfortable & clean. Hallways need a little upkeep. On the website & at reservation time it states breakfast included but the hotel does not serve any. It does offer complementary coffee. The fact that there wasn't any breakfast doesn't bother me is the fact that it offers something isn't done.

The beds where worn down and sag in the middle. The \"deluxe continental breakfast\" breakfast was cereal and yogurt. The rooms where spacious and very quiet but they where older. Overall, it was a good hotel just misleading about the breakfast part.

We had 4 rooms reserved for our new employees coming to Charlotte for training. One guest had to wait for another room because his first room was very dirty. Another said their room smelled like someone had just done drugs in it and the elevator walls were smeared with something questionable, so she actually went to another hotel. Besides, it looks like they charged us more than they should have. Horrible experience!

Rooms are OK and fairly decent. Service is friendly but overall lacks pro activity, responsibility and training (?).
1st room: smelled horrible, dish washer spilled water all over the floor. Neighbors were keen on nocturnal activities, unfortunately walls seem to be paper thin. I asked to be changed in the morning, left came back at night, room was still flooded and smelly.
2nd room: smelled funny (but far better). On second night I noticed huge glow in the dark writings on the wall right next to the bed (almost had a heart attack - still not sure how I missed them on the 1st night).
Elevator was dirty. Key cards kept malfunctioning - was locked out several times.
Overall, not a bad hotel, but maintenance of the rooms is horrible. Personnel is super friendly but they seem to lack proper communication tools (between each other - had to tell the same story 5 times each time something new pop-up).

Overall nice hotel with a pool open til 10PM. The staff was friendly during check in and check out. The room was clean and very comfortable. The only downsides were the elevator which was on the far end of the hotel and no ice machines but the refrigerator in each room did make ice so that wasn't too bad. I would more than likely stay here again if I needed a hotel in the area.

Disgusting from top to bottom. Rooms are filthy, The whole entire hotel stinks and is dirty. The windows are stained I didn’t want to sleep on bed spent more time in car during my stay. Manager did not want to issue refund so I got stuck paying for this dump. It pretty much barely beats sleeping in the streets by if you have a car might be better sleeping there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone from earth.

Great city. Hotel was not very clean. There were crumbs on the counters when we first checked in, hall didn’t look like it had been vacuumed. The room had great amenities and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. I’d give them a second chance if I return to Charlotte.?

Awful! The first room they put us in wasn't clean. The bed had no bedding, linens on the couch and trash on the counter. Then the next room smelled like straight smoke. Definitely would NOT recommend for anyone to stay here if you want a clean hotel.

The front desk and housekeeping staff were great!! They were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and friendly. The room was clean, but smelled like smoke. Customers should be made aware that rooms are an open space with no doors separating the living room from the bedroom and kitchen.
