I would absolutely go back! We went Spring Break 2026 and it was one of the safest resorts that we had been to. Occupancy was down due to fear, but we had a magnificent time. I have to say…the food was our favorite All Inclusive that we have experienced as of yet. Highly Recommend! And if you want to feel even safer book in the residence lodging because you will have to go through two guarded gates to enter. The grounds were so clean and were incredibly authentic. Absolutely beautiful views everywhere you turn. And we got to see whales every day enjoying our coffee right at the room.

Upgraded to Vista side to a 3 bedroom. Very nice room, great view for now. Construction on the north side of the building. Noise didn’t bother us but we are early risers. We had a butler but was not great. Our friend’s butler did the work for both of us. All staff are very good and very friendly. They remember your room number and drink order pretty quick. Food was very good and spent most our time at the roof top pool. It’s pretty incredible place to hang out. They have activities through the resort and only made it to one and no staff showed. The golf being $15USD per person per hour is a bit much when you are paying what we paid. We were a group of 10 and they made it work to sit together for supper every night, even when we went to the marina sister hotel for supper. Overall it was a great vacation, stop looking and book this place if the prices is right.

This was our first experience with an all inclusive. The property was beautiful and the cleanest place we have ever stayed. The food was to be expected for an all inclusive.
I had to give this a lower rating based on a few things. Upon arrival, we were instructed to give our luggage to the bellhop while we checked in. Once it was our time to check in the front desk attendant, alerted us that we had received an upgrade for our room and had to go to the other side to check in. As we were checking in, the butler had me sign a bunch of paperwork that never really explained anything. He also ran my credit card for 10,000 pesos and I had to ask what this was for because it was never explained to me. Once we were checked in, we met with a different person who was trying to sell us on the timeshare aspect of the resort. She was incredibly pushy and we had just come off of a long travel day, so we did not appreciate the continuous badgering to join the timeshare.
We finally got to go up to our room and was shocked to see that our luggage still had not arrived so we had to go down to retrieve it ourselves.
It was at this point we also realized we knew nothing about what rhe all inclusive had entailed despite speaking to two employees during check in. We came back downstairs and found a third employee who explained it all to us, but not before also trying to sell us on the timeshare.
When we checked out, I received the itemized bill and realized that none of the room service or del

This is such a special place for our family!
The staff is so friendly, the
accommodations are beautiful, and the views are spectacular. A few shining stars that were exceptional with their service were Rafael at Las Marias Restaurant, Enrique at Los Riscos Restaurant, and Arturo and Jesus poolside at El Patio.
Cesar at Los Patios was the best bartender
EVER! He took such good care of us-great drinks and outstanding service. We will be back!

The hotel is beautiful, and we were very happy with our room and ocean view. Seeing baby whales from our balcony was an unforgettable highlight. The spa facilities are also excellent and well worth visiting.

However, the massages are overpriced. While mine was enjoyable, it did not justify the high cost.

Unfortunately, I would not stay here again. The check-in process took around 90 minutes and included being pushed to attend a hotel tour, which turned out to be a sales presentation. We were told it would last 90 minutes, but it took three hours, which was frustrating as we value our time while on holiday.

Dining was also an issue. We were not informed in advance that restaurants required bookings, so we could only secure late dinners at 8pm each night, despite restaurants not appearing full.

Service during the day was slow, especially for lunch and drinks, and at times we felt overlooked. The food was average.

The hotel advertises a private beach, but there is no ocean access, which should be clearer.

Overall, while the property is lovely, there are significant issues with service and transparency. For us, it was not worth the time, and we would not return.

With small updates, and attention to these small details, this resort would easily be a 5 star resort. The service was 10/10, sometimes took long but we understood it was pretty packed. Overall it was a great trip and we would definitely go back and if we did, we would stay here again.

This resort was beautiful. Gorgeous pools and grounds, very friendly staff, amazing food. We would definitely go again, however I don’t know we'd go again with small children. Our kids 3 years old and 10 months old had a great time, but the lack of buffet option made dinners very difficult for us. We also found not all restaurants had a kids menu or great vegetarian options. The kids pool was really well designed though and all the other pools also had kid feiendly areas. The staff were also so great with our kids and very accomodating. So overall would go again and if your kids sit well at meal times, you’ll have a great time.

I would not recommend staying at El Encanto All Inclusive Resort (also known as Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences).

This was my first trip to Cabo with my sister. The restaurants, waiters, pool service, grounds, and views were absolutely 5-star. Unfortunately, our room and the customer service were 1-star.

The room was in poor condition — peeling paint, loose and corroded fixtures, cracked light switches, and ongoing toilet problems. Despite multiple trips to the front desk and promises to send maintenance, the issue was never properly fixed. We went 2½ days without a working toilet and had to use the pool washroom one night. i had to facetime my brother in law in Canada to walk us through fixing the toilet. Housekeeping issues included missing towels, being hung up on when calling, and staff entering despite our “Do Not Disturb” sign.

No compensation was offered, and our final bill included unclear daily resort fees.

If you do get service you have to sign out your bill every hour, then you have to wait for the server to come back with your copy, wich can take up to an hour. On our second day my husband and I each had 2 drinks in 3 and a half hours.

This resort was outstanding. Staff are so kind and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The 2 bedroom suite was more than enough space for our family of 2 adults and 3 teens. We had a an excellent experience. We were told we were upgraded to Vista when we arrived, which enabled us to use the rooftop pool and restaurant, that was an awesome upgrade.

I will say, you still had to wake up early to claim any shade/lounger. People saved theirs with towels and then went to eat for a couple hours. Another thing I did not expect at the rooftop pool were children who were loud, splashing and throwing toys around. This annoyance was added to this family occupying 6 shade/loungers. I understand they paid to be there. But they didn’t pay to impact everyone around them in the way they did.

If you are on the Vista side, you will hear construction from 8am to 8:30pm. You didn’t hear this at the roof top pool.

The staff on the arrival were very high pressure to do the time share presentation. (Another guest told us it was 4 hours, not the 90 min they say) She was relentless, and cornered my mom on multiple days. We did not attend.

The food was excellent, everyone was able to find something they liked at every restaurant.

I would recommend it to others. It was a great resort.

We just stayed at El Encanto for 7 days. It has been the Best All Inclusive I ever experienced. The staff go above and beyond. The food was excellent!! Our favorite, was the Italian restaurant. The views are Exceptional!! The pools are everywhere. The only negative is that they are a timeshare, they can be very aggressive!!! They don’t take no for an answer, we just didn’t show up. I’m on vacation, I really don’t want to be pressured into things. Tips are a Big thing for them, All Inclusive should just mean that.

I was very happy with our experience. Very clean, everywhere. All of the staff were friendly. The dinner restaurants were amazing. Claudia and Rafael saved us a favorite table for breakfast. Perfect for whale watching! We had wonderful meals and service. Pool and patio bar ( Oscar was great!)food and service was great. Try the Mexican pizza!! Our concierge service was outstanding. Johana helped answer so many questions for us. We enjoyed the spa twice during our stay. Both Lupita and Rosa performed lovely massages. An amazing place to enjoy whale watching from our suite, from pools and most restaurants too.

All inclusive is not really all inclusive and you feel like 2nd class citizen, even if you upgrade to premium. Rooms are not cleaned well. They constantly try to sell you their partial ownership program. Food is ok. In some cases not seasoned. Buffet is only breakfast and the rest is restaurant style with a check that you need to wait for and sign at the end, even if you have premium all inclusive. Despite being relatively new, the property is not maintained well. There are very beautiful views though and the wait staff really tries hard. But the nickel and diming is very annoying

I actually hesitated posting it because I almost want to keep this gem a secret :)

Checkin was smooth. We arrived at about 3 pm and were able to get into our room right away.

The booking site said every room has a balcony. We were put on the ground floor (obviously no balcony lol) I booked garden view by accident 😂. The room was a bit tired but lovely. Due to some unusual circumstances we were moved to a room with a balcony. It is worth the upgrade if you are pondering.

The restaurants both on site and in the golden zone were all very good with some being excellent. It is nice to be able to get into town on the shuttle and to grab a cocktail when you are thirsty. Los Deseos in town serves phenomenal made to order breakfast and fabulous Mexican entrees for lunch or dinner. Our server, Cristiam was wonderful. He even told us where to shop for tequila to bring home. It was our favourite spot for meals.

The facilities are gorgeous. The pools sparkle and the service is outstanding. We were able to see whales breaching right from our pool deck chairs.

The service from the bellmen and wait staff was excellent. Erich, one of the golf cart drivers was exceptional.

We were a bit freaked out having to sign every receipt but it seems that is how they track things at the Hacienda.

And last but not least a special thank you to Jorge, the front desk supervisor. A front desk employee made a small error but Jorge was on the situation until resolution. Gracias Jorge!

Staff support was BAD,got double charged at the spa which has mold in the women’s room. Second time we got the EXACT SAME ROOM WITH THE EXACT SAME ISSUES FROM 2 YEARS AGO! Our hot tub would not get hot, lights did not work, bathroom tub wouldn’t hold water as the plug is cocked into the drain with actual cocking.. we of course express our issue immediately as we checked immediately and again they did move us to another room that had no issues. We wanted to give the resort a second shot because 1 we go on vacation to relax and enjoy. 2 the resort has a upgrade option to visit the sistering resorts & enjoy them well as much as we love that aspect the staff and the service has completely ruined the resort for us. Finding out at check out we got double charged for the spa our concierge made us go to the spa to get the charge fixed and as it was a booking error by BRIAN who books the services (week day specials) by the pool the spa staff said we had to pay for his mistake and would only allow this one time for it to be accommodated back to the original price?!?! I have never experienced staff actually arguing with me over their mistake and alone wording things as if we are lucky this time. My husband did get food poising but of course that could be from anything anywhere but the options to dining was not as open as it was 2 years ago if you do not have a reservation you CAN NOT DINE THERE! So we had pool side snacks almost the entire time because we do enjoy not planning DO BETTER

Overall stay was great. Beautiful location and views. Most of the restaurants were good. Our worst meal was at Los Riscos. Very bad cut of steak. Fake, powerful mesquite flavoring. The signing of a bill (even though it was all inclusive) for everything gets really old. All of the pools were gorgeous. The most upsetting thing to us was after going to the pool I went back to the room to nap. Room had been already been cleaned by housekeeper. Hubby stayed at the pool. I woke up to a knock and thought I was dreaming. All of a sudden the door opens and I yell \"I'm sleeping\". The voice said \"do you need anything\". I firmly said \"no\"! This happened twice during our stay that a non-housekeeper used their key to come into our room when they didn't get a response after knocking. I highly recommend that if you don't want someone in your room when there or not to use the \"do not disturb\" sign. I've also read that it is kid friendly, however, I would say the average age of the guests was easily 55. We saw one family with small kids during our 5 days there. Just something to keep in mind for young families and younger vacationers looking for more of a party scene. Overall, the property is very clean and pretty, but it is older. We had a hole in the wall in the bathroom and a few tiles missing in the shower. Free shuttle goes into town every 2 hours, which is a great perk.

My husband and I visited El Encanto All Inclusive at Hacienda Encantada for the 2nd time in December 2025.
We had the best time and definitely preferred 2 weeks over the way too short 1 week stay the 1st time around.
The grounds are stunning and so well kept, and we really enjoyed walking all around exploring the hidden fountains and the church.
Our room was clean and very comfortable, and we had the best sleeps because this Resort isn’t a party place, so noise wasn’t an issue during the night. And because we are Expedia Members, we were offered an ocean view room at no extra cost which made our trip that much more special.
Our meals in all of the à la carte and pool restaurants were very good, but our favourite lunch spot was La Pergola. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had and my husband really enjoyed their fish tacos. Everyday we were welcomed with huge smiles and greetings from Margarita and Denis.
When not dining at an à la carte, we had lovely meals overlooking the ocean at Il Forno. Angel and Noe treated us exceptionally well whether we were just stopping in for a night cap or sitting down for a delicious dinner.
Barolo, the Italian restaurant, was exceptional. The host, Gabriel, was always accommodating and made sure we had everything that we needed.
Everyday we enjoyed the sun at El Patio. We always found the perfect spot on the sand, and bar none had the best service from Ingrid, Cesar, Omar, and Miguel.
We hope to be back again in the near future!

The grounds at Hacienda Encantada are beautiful, but unfortunately the facilities and service did not match the setting. Much of the property feels mismanaged and in disrepair. In our room, the towel rack fell off the wall when we hung a towel, and our porch lights never worked despite requesting maintenance.

We purchased the premium all-inclusive wristbands and felt misled by what was included. The lobster tail and other “premium” meals were underwhelming and often subpar, and the additional amenities did not justify the cost.

We also found one of our razors shattered in the shower. We can only assume this happened during cleaning, yet we were never notified, which was concerning.

The pools were not heated and frequently quite cold. When we asked staff for help with various issues, we were repeatedly told it was their first day and they didn’t know how to assist us.

One particularly frustrating moment was at breakfast, when we were told the espresso machine was broken—only to hear the same waitress taking espresso orders from another table 15 minutes later.

We’ve stayed at Pueblo Bonita properties before and decided to try something new this trip. Unfortunately, we were disappointed and will not be returning. This list could easily be longer, but there is a character limit.

I was quite dissapinted at first. This property does not have direct access to the beach which I've never seen for any all-inclusive resort which for me was a huge deal breaker and would never book it if I knew that. The second, the all-inclusive program is odd. When we were checking in, the lady told us that we only have standard all-inclusive and there's another all-inclusive so asked him if I want to upgrade for more money and asked if we wanted to upgrade. i have never seen anything like this before. All inclusive is all inclusive and felt deceived and didn't know what I was getting. Everything you eat there you get a billl fir and have to add tip. It's not like you could just walk into breakfast buffet and just leave, they give you a bill with prices (supposedly for the records) for everything, even when you're in the pool, i don't like that and again I've never seen anything like this before. We spoke with a couple other guests who had exactly the same impression. They also add some room charge which I didn't know about.. Also, this property is very spread out, so not really walkable. There are people who drive around in go-cards and drive you from place to place which is OK i guess ..On day 2, I kind of got used to the signing for everything we found our favorite spots to sit each day and we ended having a good time, so I guess it wasn't too bad, but will not choose this resort again.
also, the coffee maker in my room was very old and very outdated.

2. Language issues- Most of the waiters/waitresses/cleaners cannot speak or understand English
3. Old buildings, old small rooms, old elevators, low maintenance. Elevators took forever to work.
4. All inclusive does not include 24 hours food availability, or coffee availability, no food available after 10pm as the limited number of restaurants included in the all-inclusive plan are closed after 10pm.
5. Cleaning service is slow and random(repeated requests for cleaning, some days were just missed).
6. Basic toiletries like razor, tooth paster, tooth brush are not provided. You need to pay a ridiculous price to get them.
7. Only breakfast options for vegetarians were potatoes, beans, fruit, yogurts, and different types of bread/pastries.
8. They force you to use their paid(expensive $85 for taxi, $100 for shuttle for family of 4) transportation to airport by not allowing uber/lyft inside their resort.
9. All inclusive is a joke with no food after 10pm, extra payment for room service, no coffee in any restaurant during lunch time, literally no vegetarian options for vegetarians.
10. Improper labeling of food items. Non vegetarian food like caesar salad, rice cooked in chicken broth were labeled vegetarian.

We booked the Luxury Suite with a soaking pool on the balcony but were not given that room, despite booking months in advance. We were told it was unavailable, yet other guests signing for property ownership were shown those rooms while we were told they were occupied. We were not offered a credit due to the wrong room being given.

Don't recommend. Overbooked and gave away our room then pretended to upgrade us only to give us a horrible room overlooking an active construction site the water in the room was brown and even though we paid for premium all inclusive it took 24 hours to get any water in the fridge then my daughter got food poisoning. The staff is split between management who repeatedly pretend they are going to help you and then never do and some wonderful,really hard working front line staff like Mia who are forced to deal with lots of unhappy guests day in and day out.

Starting with the good and ending with the bad. The staff was wonderful from the golf cart drivers to the wait staff they were all excellent. If I were to rate the hotel based only on the staff they would get a 5+ stars. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are very well maintained. The roof top pool was amazing. The all inclusive is very confusing! Upon arrival they tried to up sale us to the premium all inclusive package!? which was very expensive and frankly you don't need it. They make you sign a bill for everything. Every meal, every drink. they even make you sign a bill every hour if your just sitting at the pool. This is very inconvenient and cumbersome! It seems to slow up everything from the time to get a drink to the time it takes to eat at a restaurant. The food was good but not great. The mini bar and in room coffee was confusing as it is all marked with stickers stating you have to pay for it even though you don't. Our room was beautiful with a amazing view however we had some problems. On the first day the water coming from all the spickets was dark brown but was fixed the next day, the AC went out in our master but was fixed quickly, our front door would not lock it took 3 days to fix with multiple requests. We ended up wedging a chair under the door knob to keep it secure. Upon leaving and checking out they attempt to make you pay extra taxes and what they call ground maintenance fees. This made me feel nickel and dimed and ended the trip on a low note!

The resort was beautiful. Staff were always very lovely, food was delicious, and we found that we did not want to leave the resort as it was already perfect for whale watching, sunrises,
and sunsets at the Arch. The only comment we have was the state of our room. We think rooms need a bit of an upgrade, especially ventilation in the bathrooms and maybe a bug net for the backyard door. Nonetheless the bed and room were very comfortable and spacious. We also wished for a bit more direction and instruction about what we could/could not access, and at some busy hours we would have to ring several times to reach concierge for a golf cart to transport us. Often we had to make reservations for dinner at restaurants yet they were nearly empty most times we went. Overall would highly recommend this beautiful resort!

Our room key was cancelled the day BEFORE we checked out and had to walk back to the lobby to get that fixed. Twice. Bathrooms are really old. But still had a nice time.

Such a shame the Service/Staff were so awful because this is the most Beautiful Resort I have stayed in at Cabo. Day 1 up to 45 min wait for drinks poolside G Building. Omar & Jaime do not wait on you, we spent our first day looking for them all day. El Patio pool service was our best day of five. Housekeeping was minimal, kitchen trash not emptied for days, fridge never restocked, no coffee, requested pillows on two occasions, never received. Friends Wedding Rings were stolen from their room, manager said, the cameras in hall were not working, no concern! Dinner at Mestizo from start to finish took 3.5 hours, again service slow, staff was uninterested, food was outstanding. On our last day we had charges on our CC from the store. We were told at Check In we had 100. store credit, but nope just another scam. We arrived and signed up to go to the timeshare sales tour, by day two we knew this was not a place for us, with the service lacking and the housekeeping minimal. We canceled the time share tour, I was asked why, I explained my concerns with the service or lack of, I was told it was because I was not an owner! Odd thing to say considering you are trying to sell me a timeshare to be an owner. Careful w All Inclusive Room Service upsell, minimal hours and less food. Golf Cart transportation is spot on. All in all horrible service, non caring staff, worse management. I would NOT recommend although such a Beautiful Resort. Read Good and Bad Reviews, wish I would have.

The resort was well-suited for both adults and families. My only complaint: I paid extra for a balcony pool upgrade but only had access to it for 1.5 out of 5 days due to weather restrictions. While I understand and appreciate the safety concerns, I would have liked prior notice and some form of compensation or compromise for the limited access to the amenity I paid for.

We recently stayed at Canda in Cabo San Lucas, and overall the hotel itself was beautiful with good amenities and service. Most of the staff we interacted with were friendly and attentive. A special mention to Daril and Marco (bus boys), as well as Jazziel, Juan, and several of the restaurant waiters, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Unfortunately, our trip was soured by an incident on our third day. A bottle of cologne was stolen from our room, which left us feeling uneasy and unsafe with our belongings for the rest of the stay. While we appreciated the great service from certain staff members, the theft was very disappointing—especially since a couple of employees quietly mentioned that this type of incident wasn’t new there.

In summary, the hotel offers a lot of positives in terms of atmosphere and some wonderful team members, but the lack of security and theft issue is a serious concern that kept us from fully enjoying what could have been a great experience.
