Let me tell you why we are disappointed. When we booked online the only question was do you need smoking or non smoking. there was no question/option about AC / non AC. First night we could not sleep even for a minute as the room was without AC . we talked to manager wo said there was no AC room available. second day with lots of request they gave us AC room but charged additional US $ 43 for a night. very angry.

My husband and I differ on our opinion of our stay here. He and I both liked it for the convenience and its proximity to the park (zocalo) and general area, such as close to Starbucks and also The Italian Coffee company. I liked how it was close to many shops to shop at. We were disappointed in the internet at this hotel. We had trouble connecting and staying connected. If you are in a situation where your smart phone didn't work or you had no service and needed wi-fi be aware that this may not be the best place for this reason. I had to run to Starbucks just to contact another family member someplace else through Whatsapp. The place is generally clean and the beds were comfy, I had no idea that they served breakfast here, something that the desk clerk in the small lobby didn't inform me. It is a light breakfast, and so if you are good with a ham and Swiss croissant with coffee--you should be fine. The bathroom was clean, but the towels are a little old/worn and the bathroom lacked floor mats.

muy bonito hotel, la senorita de la tarde con lentes, se me olvido su nombre. Ella nos hizo sentir en casa, y nos explico la historia del hotel y las hermosas pinturas del hotel. Fue super atenta con nosotras, ya que era la primera vez que nos quedamos en el centro de Puebla. Ella tambien nos dio informacion sobre los eventos en Puebla y nos ordeno taxi para el aeropuerto,para el dia siguiente.Ya es el hotel preferido de mi mama cuando regrese a Puebla. Muchisimas gracias por ser tan linda con nosotras y por ayudarle ami mama!!

La ubicación del hotel es perfecta para caminar por el centro de Puebla y visitar el zócalo, museos y llegar al punto de encuentro para salidas a Tours (zócalo de Puebla)

Excelente atención por parte del personal tanto en la recepción y el servicio a la habitación como de la limpieza del cuarto.

A warning to all Americans. Do NOT stay at this hotel. I booked my stay through Expedia. They asked for my card upon my arrival, I assumed it was for incidentals. They charged me a second time. When I noticed the charge i confronted management. They said they would call Expedia and fix it. I ended up having to call Expedia only to find out the hotel never attempted to refund my money. Now I must wait 7 business days for my refund. I budgeted exactly what I needed for this trip and this hotel screwed me over big time. DO NOT STAY HERE. Aside from the double charging, the AC’s don’t work, room service is terrible, and there’s an extremely loud night club across the street that goes hard until 4am. Trust me, just find another hotel.

The Andante hotel is a great basic hotel if you are interested in visiting the historic center and places nearby. This hotel is not your five star hotel but it is comfortable and it was great for our needs. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The breakfast was a continental type breakfast but it was good. We would definitely stay here again.

the location of the hotel and environment of the room are very good. the only problem is i booked the junior suit, but after checkin i find its a standard room. the front desk tell me its because there are 2 queen bed in the tpye of room i booked instead of king size bed

i can accept that situation. but better tell me when i just checkin. otherwise i paid and arrive room to find it myself is not acceptable

Surprise of our life

The staff at Hotel Andante are the best and most attentive staff that I have ever met. I was able to throw together a surprise roof top birthday party for my wife that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The staff helped us find flowers, a special convent, and their handy map got us everywhere else. This was a wonderful stay for both of us.

Great but a little understaffed and understocked.

The hotel was very well decorated and the room was really comfortable, with a working record player! This may have been the fault of communication between hotels.com and the hotel, but when we booked the room we were supposed to get a city view and welcome gift, and neither materialized. And while the staff was very helpful, they seemed to be severely understaffed with no more than two people working and literally running around. The website also advertised a restaurant and bar, however there were no drinks at the hotel at all, so we weren't able to stay in the room and relax.

WIFE FORGOT HER DRIVERS LICENSE/HEALTH CARDS AND MANAGER JOSE LUIS MONTIEL FEDEXED THEM TO OUR HOUSE IN TWO DAYS. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND PIANO MUSIC ON SUNDAY MORNING WAS A SPECIAL TREAT. What a delight!

This is a perfect hotel for a visit to Ourbla. It is small and charming and one block from the Zocolo and close to everything. We were treated by a friendly staff and a glass of Mango juice before taken to our room which was a bit small and dark so we asked for another room and were cheerfully taken to the perfect room. Nice size, good bathroom and with a window onto the street. All the rooms were named after composers with amazing photos and paintings adorning the walls. We stayed in the Franz Liszt room, but got a chance to see others and they are all very colorful and special. We loved the Beethoven room for next time. They have a little cafe downstairs and were more than willing to make an espresso and bring it to our room. The staff speak English and helped us with travel plans and even drove us to the train when the taxi didn’t arrive. Very special hotel. One of our favorites from all our travels. Be sure to go to Cholula on a day trip or even for a night. Sweet down with a beautiful Zocalo and great restaurants.

This is a lovely, quiet hotel just one block from the Zocalo of Puebla. The rooms are all different, each one dedicated to a famous composer. They supply a very generous amount of bottled water. Skip the complementary croissant and spring for the omelette!

Romantic music-composer themed rooms: we stayed in the Sibelius Room and were greeted by an in-room phonograph playing a vintage LP of Sibelius' \"Finlandia\" - how cool is that? Great breakfast (included) in the Andante Restaurant which serves excellent meals too. Hi-ceiling rooms were very quiet and appointed with new fixtures that all worked. Spacious central drawing rooms on each floor for relaxing and reading with background classical music and colorful portraits of the composers. Central location less than half block from the Zocalo.

An unforgettable stay in Puebla

This is a wonderful hotel based on an original and exciting concept. Each room, large and spacious, is named after a great composer. Ours was Mozart. It includes a good old record-player that reminded me of my tender youth and plays some music by these musical greats. There are also portraits of contemporary music major figures, from Boulez to Cage, in the hall. The complementary continental breakfast is a nice addition. Altogether, a super deal in an area that is next to the Zocalo (the main square) of Puebla. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

The hotel's strongest point is an aesthetic one. The entire hotel maintains a kind of theme involving music and art. Each room is named after a well-known musical figure. The décor and ambience of the rooms and the public areas on each floor are both exquisite. Closely behind the hotel's visual and thematic exuberance are two other assets: its location in the heart of Puebla and its well-trained staff. The area is energetic: full of outdoor restaurants, shops, and (best of all) the Mexican people themselves. Highly recommended.

A new appreciation for the world of classical musi

The hotel Andante checked all the boxes for a full service hotel but it was so much more. I was re-introduced to the world of Classical music. As I entered my room a vinyl record flooded the room with music and I found a new appreciation for classical music.The service and accommodations were outstanding. Everyone was very patient with my Spanish and when need be they switched to English. I was attending a school to learn Spanish and this was the perfect hotel to practice my Spanish. I hope to return next year!

Great hotel in a great location, close to the heart of Puebla's historic district. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was outstanding (nice, helpful, did everything they could to make our stay pleasant), and the food (large continental breakfast, restaurant on-site) was great, too. Would definitely recommend this hotel for singles and couples—it's not so much a family-type of place. It's more of a small, boutique-style hotel.

Great boutique hotel near the Zocalo

Hotel Andante was great for us. We wanted to be closed to the Zocalo, in a quite area, and that was what we got. The hotel has an original theme related to classic music: every room is dedicated to a composer, and it has been decorated trying to get you on the composer mood. It has soft classic music in the common areas, and very interesting art by local artists on diferente composers. The room very spacious, modern, with new furniture. The bed was very confortable, and the bathroom modern as well. Our room had a balcony to the main street. There was a portable air conditioner/heater unit that you can plug in if needed, but it was very, very loud, so we didn't use it even though it was hot in the room during the day. We have a continental breakfast included in our room-rate. It was serve at the hotel bistro. It was a plate of fresh granola, fruit, a croissant, juice, and coffee; the same both days we stayed, which we didn't like. You could order something different from their bistro menu, but paying extra. The service at the bistro was slow, only one person serving the tables. The area was good during the day, but after 9 pm it got kind of scary.

Cool peaceful hotel experience

To put it simply, this hotel is a hidden gem within a marvelous city. While there are more 'rustic' style hotels in the historic city center of Puebla, hotel Andante hits a different note. Yes it's in a historic mansion-like building like other hotels but it's fully renovated, feels modern and clean in design without being too presumptuous. My room, along with the expansive common areas were peaceful and made relaxing easy as a mix of classical music played throughout at adequate levels. There's a small deck/rooftop terrace with a partial view of the Cathedral. No bar or lounge but they allow BYOB. The few staff there was were more than accommodating, attentive and very friendly to all of my requests. They seemed a bit shy but friendly nonetheless. Clean, modern, peaceful and a good deal for the price.

Excellent location one block from the zocalo; room seemed to have good sound proofing as very little noise evident from street during our midweek stay. Loved the hotel's funky furniture and good sized rooms (we stayed in Vivaldi Suite), with comfortable bed, thick cotton sheets, duvet and fluffy towels. Only slight negative was that the toilet/ shower-room was a little under-sized, and would have been nice to have been left a spare toilet roll. Appreciated the two lounge chairs to sit on as well as desk chair as so often hotels do not provide enough seating. Enjoyed simple breakfast of coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and jumbo warm croissant. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again - only hope that once the secret of this new hotel is out that the prices do not rise to place them out of our budget!

The Hotel Andante was excellent, and we would definitely stay there again. We were given the Vivaldi Suite. It was lovely. The other suites looked to be of a similar high quality. The only minor complaint is that the piped classical music that is played in the central lobby area is too loud - it started at 8.30am (woke me up), and was not turned off until 10.30pm. Its a little difficult to find - the entrance is through a cafe. The lobby is 2 chairs and a desk. Not your typical hotel lobby, but it set the tone for how atypical this hotel is. It's a gem. Stay here. You will love it. Oh, and great location, one block from the zocalo.

Stayed there only one night. I wish I had been able to stay longer. It is a funky hotel, conceptualized around music. There is ambient music (ABBA, Beatles, etc.) playing during the day. The room was spotless, and aimed at being eco friendly, with large containers of shampoo, etc. rather than the tiny containers that waste so much plastic. It was all very comfortable. The restaurant was quite good, though Puebla has much better offerings within only a couple of blocks. I would stay here again.

Nice modern hotel; fantastic location in Puebla

We would recommend this hotel: the staff members are very attentive; the rooms are not very spacious, but the big windows are sound-proofed, which is helpful if you are on the floors facing the street. The décor is very bright, new, and modern in design. Minor complaints: there was no suitcase rack, so we had to put our suitcases on the floor; while there was a portable machine on wheels that was meant to serve as an air conditioner, it was extremely, extremely noisy when on, so we couldn't have it on (but we didn't really need it either); and there was no visible sign of any heating system (being summer, this wasn't a problem, but it might be if you stayed at a colder time of year; perhaps they would provide a portable heater). The location, just a block away from the colorful zocalo, is fantastic and is within walking distance of many other sights as well. Overall, we were very happy with this hotel choice in Puebla for two nights.

Excellent lodging option in the heart of Puebla

I loved my stay in Hotel Andante in Puebla, so much that I wish I could have extended my stay. Already looking forward to my next trip to Puebla, a city where I have been many times since the 1990's. For business or pleasure, the Andante will be a great option. I will recommend it to friends traveling to Puebla. The hotel just open some months ago, and I did not have any references, but after browsing their website I decided to take the chance. So GLAD I did. The complimentary breakfast...delicious. The staff was so friendly without fussing. Fantastic rate for this high quality.

FANTASTIC STAY!

This hotel is amazing value for the dollar! Their great service starts from the moment you book your room where they send a nice personalized welcome to the hotel. I booked the smallest room but never the less, it was clean, hot water, stable internet, clean room! The pictures on hotels.com is exactly what to expect! The morning continental breakfast was also EXCEPTIONAL! Warm croissant, fresh fruit, great coffee ,yogurt! Just a great place. The only little bummer is that all the art and music is described in spanish so if you cannot read or speak the language, its a great pity. Also the AC unit in the room is a little loud if you want to sleep really cool.
