I showed up at 4pm to check in and nobody was there to open the door for me. So i went to lunch and came back half an hour later.

Leaning lady opened the door and informed me that nobody was working and she didnt know when somebody would be at the desk to check me in.

Fantastic location

The reception and cleaning staff here were really excellent, but speak limited English. The location can't be beat as it is less than a block from the cathedral and walkable to the historic center sites of interest. The only improvements I would make would be to include a bathmat with the daily linens, have a towel rod or hook in the bathroom, and to have a shelf near the bathroom sink for putting toiletries. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Puebla!

Comfortable, clean and central place to stay

We were lucky enough to get a room during a very busy weekend and stayed one night only. The room was big, comfortable, and clean. The water was hot, the hair products good and despite the crowded streets, it was very quiet for us to rest a while. For three friends traveling together, it was a good budget/comfort pick. No elevator, so be mindful of heavy luggage. Nevetheless, the concierge helped with the bags and getting taxis.

They lost my reservation and made me deal with it.

The room was a lot hotter than either the rest of the hotel and outside of it.

Hair on the bathroom and on top of the TV.

Several spider webs hanging from the ceiling. Free WiFi but extremely weak signal.

The only window in the rooms opens to a hallway, with no curtain anyone can see you inside the room.

When I walked through the door and introduced myself, the clerk at the front desk looked rather blankly at me and said that he had no record of my reservation., even as I was showing it to him on my telephone. Nothing. He tried to ask which agent had made the reservation, and I kept fumbling for another answer other than \"Hotels-dot- com\". Eventually, he decided to give me a discount rate and a room, but I realized that I might've been out of luck on this one due to Hotels.com not following through (or letting me follow through with the reservation details.
Anyway the room was poorly lit, humid, and windowless except for the window which opened to the staircase inside the hotel. The service was basically friendly, but this was one of those rooms in which you realize that the lower price might not have been worth it, except for the proximity to the cathedral and Zocalo.
The lobby art was lovely, however, with some striking art and covered sport cars replacing any kind of guest amenities.

Great spot in the perfect surrounding

Located in the heart of Puebla, El Zocalo, this room will not disappoint. The room was as described, no surprises. No pressure from reception. We brought many friends from our course we attended to review and prepare for the next class day and at times had up to eight people at once in the room, reception didn't question us once! They minded their own, and we of course behaved. Also; great food stands right across the street as you exit the hotel. Can't go wrong with this place. Sure it's nothing fancy, but it served its purpose well! =)

Staff denied being on hotels.com. There is no restaurant, the center courtyard is being used to store vehicles covered in tarps. When booking we were told only 2 rooms left but when we stayed there we were the only customers. Parking is 40p from 8pm to 9am and then 15p every hour. Some rooms have no windows at all. Horrible place.

This is a 400 year old home converted into a hotel. The rooms are more than adequate, and very clean. You are close to the zocola and all the centro sights, with parking (at an additional cost across the street). When checking in ask to see the room before saying yes, as the front counter lady tried putting in a lesser room than requested. All staff very helpful and friendly.

My boyfriend and I were originally put in a dark fairly small room in the back with lots of construction noise. We asked (with some difficulty because of our limited Spanish and the desks limited English) and were moved to a larger room. The hotel was functional and centrally located with a charming interior. It was a little bit cold in the winter.

Small and quaint little place we went during independence day in México and thought we would get no sleep since we were a block from the Zocalo and right out side the hotel doors was the street fair that came with the festival, but surprisingly enough you could not hear anything going on outside. The down side is that they are adding new rooms and half of them were under construction as of Sep 2011 but other than that the hotel is great highly recommended.

Fantastic Location and Lovely Building

The location (for that price) was fantastic!!! I could not have asked for a better place. As other reviews state, the rooms are VERY small. The building is over 400 years old, but well maintained (lovely)! If you are traveling with lots of luggage, these rooms will be a problem for you. But, if you travel light, the location of the hotel and the friendly staff make up for it. We asked for extra towels, not a problem, we asked for recommendations on places to visit, not a problem, we asked for WiFi code, not a problem!!!

The hotel location is great, within a block of the main square. The room we were given when we checked in was cold, dark and very small. The sink had a leak and the faucet was very difficult to turn off. We complained the following morning and they gave us a better room without question. However, the room was still very cold. No heat and tile floors. The staff were O.K. Not overly helpful, but friendly.

Un hotel con muchisimas escaleras, nl hubo disponibilidad de cambiarnos de habitación a pesar de que viajabamos con niños y personas de la 3ra edad. No hay estacionamiento y aunq tienen convenio con un estacionamiento enfrete, esta muy caro. No hay agua caliente en el baño....te piden abrir la llave del lavabo para q salga agua caliente de la regadera....el hotel tiene buena ubicación

El hotel se ve muy bonito y cuidado, la habitación demasiado austera, pasamos frío, la sabana y “edredón” parecía tela corriente de cortinas, las toallas muy viejas y ásperas.
Por la mañana antes de las 9:00 se empezaron a escuchar trabajadores y martillazos demasiado fuertes, nunca nos avisaron que había trabajos de remodelación.

部屋はコンパクトで清潔でした。
エレベーター、エスカレーターの無いホテルですので、荷物の多い方は要注意。たまたまなのか、女性のスタッフだけで、荷物の搬入出のヘルプは期待できません。今回は一泊で利用したのですが、チェックアウト後荷物を預けて散策しようと思ったら、荷物の預かりにMX$200請求されました。しかもカード不可。ホテルの支払いはカード可なのにです。連れは請求されず(笑)
ただ、一時間のみと言われ、実際には30分程度超過したのですが、追加請求はされませんでした。
立地は申し分ないのですが、いろいろ考えさせられるホテルでした。

Avía solicitado una cuarto en el cual no fue nada grato para empesar el cuarto no contaba con agua caliente,el mueble para guardar mis cosas las puertas dañadas en malas condiciones,unas tuallas olían muy desagradables en el cual hablé con la encargada y le comenté q quería mi dinero de vuelta para ir a otro hotel ella muy respetuosa mente me dijo q si gustaba me ofrecían otro cuarto en el cual lo cheque y estaba mejor q la primer cuarto estuve 3 noches y bueno estuvo regular después pero no se los recomiendo.

Es muy poco accesible , es de 4 pisos , no hay elevador, no hay servicio de quién lleve el equipaje aunque si me ayudaron , rente la sala de juntas un día antes que llegue no me permitieron conocerlo, si hubiera sabido donde estaba el salón lo canceló , en general el hotel son instalaciones viejas , sin mucho mantenimiento, por eso precio en la misma zona hay hoteles mucho mejores , a parte me cobraron el estacionamiento y en la mañana que me asome al ventana mi auto estaba en la calle, en general no volvería ni gratis con ellos .

Me agradó la cercanía al Zócalo . No me agradó que me prometieron y dieron costos de un restaurante que dice contar el hotel y no es verdad. Las almohadas están fatales, fugas d agua en el baño, no cuentan con tapetes para después de tomar una ducha, ruido del personal de limpieza desde las 5 am, cuentan con una nevera pero es imposible conectarla por qué no tienen conexiones de luz

en la pagina de Hoteles.com dice que el hotel cuenta con Valet Parkin, asumes que tienen estacionamiento, pues no tiene ni lo uno ni lo otro.

Deberían poner claramente en el portal de hoteles.com lo que ofrece el hotel, ya que en la información de este hotel muestran que hay estacionamiento disponible, y no lo tienen. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, y afuera de la que yo me quedé, había escombros y material de construcción.
La habitación estaba limpia, pero olía a humedad.

Ofrecen cosas que no cumplen, no hay agua para tomar, no hay vasos, la luz no funciona, las regaderas están viejas y fugan por todos lados, huele a drenaje, no hay secadora de pelo, se oye todo de las demás habitaciones, los baños son muy reducidos, con el porta rollo te puedes rascar la espalda, no tiene estacionamiento, ofrecen un precio por Internet y cuando llegas, tienen uno más bajo para el público.
El personal es atento te escucha pero no te hace caso.

Demasiado caro para lo que es. Camas desvencijadas. Poco espacio para transitar con las maletas entre los autos que resguardan en su patio. Tuvimos que ir buscando entre los cuartos cuál era el nustro pues no tenían numeración y no había a quien preguntar y hubo que bajar de nuevo desde el tercer piso a la oficina.

Bueno para pasar la noche y seguir visitando

Si le falta algo de mantenimiento ya, pero el servicio es bueno y está a un brinco de la catedral, asi que es ideal para pasar la noche y seguir viendo el centro de Puebla.

No cuenta con restaurante ni estacionamiento pero cruzando la calle hay un estacionamiento 24 hrs y vaya todo el centro está repleto de lugares deliciosos para comer.

Hotel bueno, barato, a metros Bares y Catedral

En general todo bien. Las habitaciones no son ni amplias ni lujosas, pero sirven para el propósito de dormir y tomar un baño. Pros: cerca del parque central, Catedral y basicamente cualquier cosa del centro. Contras: no tiene estacionamiento, hay un justo en frente donde se paga con una cuota preferencial por ser huesped del hotel; las habitaciones no tienen suficiente ventilación, aunque nadie va a un hotel para quedarse ahí.

En general: todo bien, recomendable, no esperen algo \"fancy\"; es un hotel que cumple con su cometido y que vale la pena quedarse en él para conocer Puebla; 100% recomendable.
