This is a very old property in the midst of renovation. And while some of the items that they have renovated are done thoughtfully and executed well, there are other areas that still look and feel very old and as if the quality of the renovation was subpar. The rooms were beautifully done, mattresses were comfortable, and they were clean. The overall grounds are probably a five out of 10 and the lazy river area is in need of attention. Overall, I’m happy for what we paid for the room and what the experience was, but I was a little scared when I first walked in that it was going to be a disappointing experience.

We have stayed at this location for a staycation almost yearly for the last 10 years. They have done a ton of renovations over the years and it looks very nice. Our gripe is that they are doing construction currently and we were placed in a room right next to construction. This was fine for the day but it started up at 5:30AM- this wasn’t something we could have predicted and was quite a wake up call. Additionally, the room never cooled below 78* in the evening despite turning down the AC thermostat. With no fans in the suite, the air felt very warm and stale. It made for a restless night. When I mentioned these things at checkout, they apologized but seemed mostly indifferent. Also, due to construction, there was no on site restaurant other than the VERY over priced poolside bar or the mediocre lounge bar. Not sure we will go back next year. The water park is nice for either adults or little kids, but with my kids being 8 & 10 it was a stretch for them to feel entertained by one kinda lackluster slide and an overly warm lazy river. The pool with the waterfall is always a hit though. But when lunch (2 entrees, 2 sodas, and one cocktail) is almost $80 with tip… the magic ran out quick when it became too expensive to fill our empty bellies. Also- no outside food or drink allowed. Our bag of chips was confiscated at the pool check in. So… food options were virtually non existent on property.

There is a LOT of construction going on the entire time. Very loud all day.

No Tennis courts or pickle ball courts available due to construction.

No resteraunts other than the pool bar and the main lobby bar were open the entire time we were there.

Clean well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Lazy river and pools are really fun! Mini golf is just so-so, but another activity to pass the time, and nice views from the course. Great for kids and families, but fun for adults too.

Check in is at 4pm! so you get to the pool at 430 but the kitchen closed at 4 at the pool, the bar closed at 5 at the pool, the slide in the pool shut down at 5 and the entire pool section closed at 7pm!! I went there with my two grandsons for the \" WATER PARK\" amenities but got very little use out of it. Following day you need to be checked out by 11 but the pool does not open unit 9am. I feel ripped off. There is no continetal breakfast. You pay for everything. The hotel has major construction going on but the current building is dated and felt like an old building. Certainly did not get my money's worth. This is my 2nd review online, in my LIFE. I don't review because it's just a waste of my time. Nothing changes and like this review, sounds like disfuntional b**** but what other choice do I have?

The bar in the hotel could be a little nicer the staff, they were very rude and it took 45 minutes for them to even assist us or ask what we wanted to eat, so we told them nevermind and went to RTO Sullivans across the street. Wyatt who worked there was rude and the girls that were bartenders were not nice either. The guy was very nice

The building is old and in need of a lot of updating. The A/C didn’t function for four of the five days we were there, someone came twice to work on it but it never worked at full capacity, like the temp stayed at 82*. The door to the room was especially problematic. It was extremely hard to open and it closed with a very dangerous speed as there was no hydraulic function on it. In fact, I lost a shoe when it closed so quickly behind me that I didn’t even have time to get my foot clear and it literally ripped my sandal off my foot. The pool/water park was fun, but not kept up very well either, chunks of concrete missing around the edges of the pool, lots of trash was scattered, especially on the lazy river banks. Just an overall ick feeling in the water too, lots of debris in it. Ordered 3 drinks at the pool and the total was $84! Two drinks were ordered as doubles, and they literally charged us for the drink twice, not just an up charge for more liquor, they should have advised us to just take two separate drinks for that price. No, they didn’t not show us the charges as it was just charged to our room. The staff was understanding of my complaints and did make some adjustments for me so that was greatly appreciated.

Two pools were missing actually filled in by management. The only water we had was at the lazy river. There was no microwaves in the suites. Our door was always sticking at the door jam and you had to actually shove it open or pull like heck to get it open. That was one restaurant not for that we saw on the website.

I only booked the room to spend the evening at the pool. The pool was nice and maintained but I did not like that they stopped serving food at 4pm and that’s check in time at the resort. Another thing was the bar and slides closed at 5pm which I thought was pretty early. Didn’t get to have the pool experience I was expecting.

I paid for a room three months before we traveled with pool view two queen one pull out bed when we got there they put us in a king room so I called down there and told them they had me in the wrong room. Then they moved us to a room that had the view of construction. The AC didn’t work. We ended up leaving Saturday night when I paid for two nights we got to the pool, the lazy river the tubes were flat everything there is super expensive. Let me just say $600 was not worth it.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The lazy river was one of the highlights of our trip—clean, relaxing, and a lot of fun. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out, always willing to help with a smile. The overall atmosphere made our stay enjoyable, and we would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

I am severely disappointed in our stay at this hotel. We have stayed here before a few years back and after this visit we will never come back.

Not only were all the pools closed but 1 & the water park, they are doing construction and parking was a disaster. Had we known prior to booking that they didn’t have all 7 pools they advertised open we would have booked elsewhere.

No where does it say they are under construction. Again, had we known this we would have booked elsewhere. On top of all this, the floors in our room were absolutely filthy. I had two kids and after letting my youngest run around while we set up the room we noticed her white socks were fully black and nasty after only 30 minutes running back and forth in the room.

I understand rooms are not going to be cleaned perfectly but honestly when was the last time it had been mopped?! The safety latch on our door was also hanging on by a thread.

If I hadn’t booked a non refundable option we would have left after the first night. Beds were extremely hard as well. The one pool they did have open also closed a bit early in my opinion. Other resorts we have used in Arizona typically have pools open until 10pm here they close at 7 and 8 depending on the day.

Overall, my family is disappointed and I now know we will no longer be waisting our hard earned money on this hotel. As a Hilton honors member I am upset.

One of the evening receptionists, a shorter woman with glasses, was excellent! She went above and beyond to help me when I was facing some issues related to my reservation. My debit card was cancelled due to my travels and although she was not allowed to accept cash deposits, she took a cash deposit from me and even lowered it so she wasn’t taking all of my money. I would have not had anywhere to sleep for the night until my bank opened in the morning. She is awesome.

However when I checked out, I was trying to explain how the woman had helped me and wanted to attempt to retrieve my cash fearing an issue, two gentlemen appeared totally annoyed and disgusted by me whilst i vocalized my desire for the cash deposit to be returned. They treated me as if I was some creep off the streets instead of a paying customer who reserved a multiple night stay.

We traveled here for a weekend with our two young kids (10 and 7) and had a great time. The pool area is the perfect size - not overwhelmingly big like a theme park, but it does allow guests, in, it is not exclusively for the resort, that being said, it never seemed too busy.
The basic double queen room is huge, with clean and comfortable beds. As others have said, the food is your basic diner food, nothing spectacular but that didn't really matter to us. We would visit again.

Only suggestion is if you want to swim outside of water park hours, make sure you get a room next to the other pool. It’s on the other side of the property from where we stayed and I didn’t realize how far it was. Definitely not a walking distance I preferred.

I think it is a great place and we had a wonderful time, but there was definitely some room for improvement. With a pool full of people and children they closed the food service and on the following day food/bar and slide was not open till 11 AM even though again full by children and ready to play. It was the last day of school and is tradition every year it would just be a win-win for families and for them to send her the amenities around the time schedule of the people their as they see the hotel is full. Any family would tell you the kids want to go to the pool first thing in the morning so I have everything closed until mid morning is a miss. I feel they could make great money on having breakfast items and drink starting at 9 AM by the pool.

The room I stayed in felt boxy, but still nice and clean. My room view was of maintenance, so that was not so exciting to hear or see in the morning. Sadly I did not get to take advantage of the resort big lagoon pool or even see it, though I was charged a resort fee just for staying there. I was only here for one evening (much needed rest, which I got). Perhaps it would have been more enjoyed with a partner or kids. The breakfast at the bar was very nice and good quality and the bartender was very attentive.

The outside of the hotels needs to be renovated. Pool isn’t as nice as the photos. I was also charged for breakfast when breakfast was “included” when I called the front desk had told me I had to pay for breakfast because “it was worked into my rate” I eventually got my refund. Hotels.com needs to update the listing for Hilton at the Peak as of the time of this review 5/17/26 the listing still shows under the Hotels.com Highlights / Amenities that there are 7 pools & 2 hot tubs.

We have done a staycation at this location for several years after we checked in we went for a walk to find Hilton REMOVED the 7 pools & 2 hot tubs

When I brought this up to Grace at the Hotel & showed a screenshot of the listing she was very short & told me \" you booked through a 3rd party if you would like to cancel our make changes you need to contact them\"

I don't know how Grace works in the hospitality industry. EPIC FAIL for Grace.

What's funny is at the various elevators there is a map of the resort which still shows all the pools & hot tubs on the maps.

If you decide to stay here hopefully you don't deal with Grace as she could care less about the customers that booked through a 3rd party

In years past when we stayed here when the water park closed for the evening we used to enjoy going to the swimming pools for night time swimming.

Now that the pools are removed this location has lost its appeal....truly a shame

Sadly we won't return in the future

The website says pet friendly for $75 for pets under 75lbs, but upon arrival I was informed the Hilton website is “incorrect, and they only accept service dogs”. I asked the manager what was I supposed to do with my dogs then, after speaking to another gentleman he informed me I could stay if I paid a $200 non refundable fee. I had no other options since my room was non refundable and it was late afternoon. I don’t feel like that was professional, if your website states you’re pet friendly then you should honor that. The manager stated he’s been trying to remove that from the website since 2009. That’s more than enough time.

The rooms were nice, very clean. My only complaint would be that my door and multiple other family members door would not lock, were hard to open physically, or hard to close do to not being aligned.

The property was well kept. There is two 3-4ft pools, a lazy river and one slide. A little convenience store with Starbucks coffee in the am, and a tiny bar/restaurant?

Overall it was the same as a regular hotel, I would not stay here again if looking for “resort amenities” and because they bait and switched pet prices on me.

No bathtub even tho I asked for a room with one. Pool and hot tub are non existent. Waterpark is the only pool you will get but they close at 7pm. Wish they would have told me when I made the reservation that there was no pool because that’s what my kids really wanted was a pool. The room had no hot water then on our last day there it had no water at all. For the price that I paid it was not worth it. Will not be going back anytime soon

Rooms were cleaned later in the day, allowing you to sleep in without interruptions. The cleaning staff was very friendly, efficient, and accommodating.

The spa was accessible, but the hot tub was cold. They have a good variety of fitness classes. I highly recommend attending Yoga with Lauren. The Zumba class ended up being fun, but the instructor seemed to be in a bad mood at the start of the class. I was almost discouraged from going to the class because of this non-welcoming aura. However, all the other spa staff were very accommodating and sincere.

The pool area is really nice. They have music playing, volleyball nets, a slide, lazy pool and two sizeable pools. Be aware that the poolside bar closes early (5pm at the time of my stay) on Fridays.

In the courtyards, the old pools have been replaced with shaded turf, which is really nice for various types of events or simply having a space for kids to run around.

Restaurant menu items average about $20.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay again, but I probably would not attend the Zumba class again to avoid that unpleasant interaction.

Construction noise constantly, alot of amenities closed, blood stains on the carpet, rock slide closed…..i can go on
