Don’t even bother with this place! I have nothing good to say about it except that it has a nice pool! The room is disgusting and filthy. The mattress had a hole in it. The cups and mugs were dirty and hadn’t been washed! You could hear a noise all night and people outside talking. The door had a 1 cm gap around the whole frame. Traffic noise was really bad! It’s definitely not worth what they charge! Bypass this place and give it a very wide birth if you can! The only thing is the staff are friendly. There is no daily room service or towel service. The cutlery and crockery all odd.

Room is listed as queen and double config when it's actually a queen/double and single. AC sounded like a plane or truck was going passed all night and was not cooling the room whatsoever. No fans in the room so the room was disgustingly hot. Doorhandle wobbles and moves in the door. Haven't heard back from my numerous requests for compensation for the experience.

More info about parking before you get there as there's no parking available on the street if you haven't checked in. A better website to find where to change bank card details if card doesn't work for the deposit. Needs signs around the building showing where room numbers are. Soap in the bathroom needed, a tissue box needed.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable …a complete set of cutlery would be good, there were no knives or teaspoons. Loved the pool and the shower was hot and full stream. Some WD40 spray needed on all sliding doors.

Parking was not secure despite being advertised as such. The room was tiny and very worn, not like the pictures at all. My bed didn’t have a blanket and a very stained mattress protector. My son had a stained blanket and no mattress protector (being a former hotel managers daughter, I always strip my bed as I leave). No convenient power points. It was a place to lay our heads for the night but that’s it.

Terrible and run down . Key doesn’t work to get into car park so you have to walk out and use the roller door massive inconvenience to get to your vehicle . Bed was shocking I might has well slept on the floor as my back is now hurting from the spring in my back . I never complain but the was terrible property bathroom windows was filthy with smears all over them . Furniture in terrible condition

Very poor unit all round. Terrible beds. Poor cleaning. Wasn't the room I was shown when I booked. The whole place needs a major overhaul. No one entered our unit the 7 nights we were there and did anything. No rubbish was collected and I couldn't find anywhere to put it. It wasn't a place you wanted to spend anytime in apart from sleeping. The wifi was good. The parking on site was ok. It was very handy for the Florida tram stop so that was a plus but I paid premium and expected slightly better. I wouldn't go there again.

this was central to the shops. great location.
mould all over the blind. noisy with traffic.
an intoxicated man was banging on my window, and smashing other clients windows at midnight. he was able to access the motel through the gate with the broken lock. two police crews arrested him, lights and sirens - by the time the staff had cleaned up it was 02.00. this was very scary especially because I was by myself.
I had to work the next day and was very upset and tired.
The TV had such poor reception I could not even watch the news.
the pool looked clean and well maintained. - I saw kids enjoying the pool.
the reception is dirty with cracked glass.
my bathroom window had cracked glass.
overall a poor experience.
the shower leaked all over the floor.
I went to the chemist and purchased ear plugs and phenergan to sleep.
Good carpark security, however the gates were not always shut.

There was active mold all in bathroom,black mould in shower and all roof,wet smelly carpet,flooded carpet walkway to get to room. House keeping didnt even check our kettle that had boiled noodles in from previous guest. House keeping was so loud shouting to each other and banging around early for hours on end. Heavy road noise,got hit up by other guests for drugs. Never will stay there again

The Gold Coast Inn was very misleading, the pictures seemed to show a fresh room, but instead was run down, dirty, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly.
The bathroom door for the room was stuck, couldn’t even close it.
The rooms were very noisy, could hear any conversations and noise from the rooms next door.

Only good thing about the place was the location. We got there and left immediately. Room 18 in appalling condition, marks all over the walls, marks, stains and rust on the bed side tables, cuts and stains on the mattress, mould all in the shower and on the blinds as well as other questionable stains, the bathroom cabinet handle was broken off and missing and the bathroom door was a landlord special, cut out to close around the shower tiles . Need I say more? It was a terrible experience and because I had checked in late there was nothing that could be done and had to sleep in my car until I was able to arrange for another place the next day. -10/10 would never stay again

An accommodation nightmare.

Arrived to find underground garage with a foot of water over tge floor, and things did not improve. The room had wet carpet in the room plus water seeping onto the floor in the toilet/bathroom. The sliding door blind had slats missing alloeing people walking past to see into your room and at night the outside security lights illuminated the bed area making it very uncomfortable to sleep. When reported to the cleaning staff and reception they did not appear to care and nothing was done to assist.

Although the booking was for 2 adults , only one coffee cup provided, no glasses. Shower leaked with water all over the floor Kitchen blind full of mould , ceiling had mould spots as did the fire alarm . Celing fan full of dirt and fluff. Table badly damaged.Walls damaged and scuffed. Entry door blind broken, and one of the blind parts fell off when we closed it . Bed linen clean but was provided with one thin blanket between two sheets . Carpet in bedroom dirty and sticky when you walked on it. Overall needs a good scrub and paint

Property was run down. Gate to enter was missing so anyone could come into the property. There was trash scattered in the parking area. We had a very noisy room, could hear people going past at all hours as well as people using the washing machine nearby at 3am. Was a room for 6 but no amenities to match - 2 cups, 2 chairs, etc. There was mould in the bathroom.

The pre- arrivak instructions and communication was excellent. Family of 5 well accomodated for - very convenient for a quick stay and go. Beds crisp and comfy- hubby fell asleep straight away. 2 bathroom and showers- clean and newly renovated. Just the walls could do w a bit of cleaning. Need lighting to where the Lockbox is for keys, the entry to Carpark pinpad also needs a more obvious sign, as does the pinpad within the carpark as thats the only way in or out . Took us a while to find the keypads as it isnt well lit and quite dark. But overall its a handy little motel. Practical for a big family not wanting to spend on luxury for a short stay.

I felt that the photos provided on the Expedia website were completely misleading. When i arrived to my room I was immediately uncomfortable and unimpressed by the state of the room. The white walls were no longer white, the paint on both bedside tables what stained and dirty, the shower had mold. What made me the most uncomfortable and led me to leave the accommodation with no refund 2 hours after checking in was that the lock on the door was not able to be locked at my discretion and was without a secondary security lock that should have been implemented for customer safety. Overall this was a terrible experience that was upsetting and misleading by Expedia.

The lockbox for the key was in garage. No Light in the garage and could not read or open the lockbox. Overall condition of room worse than a Canadian dive.

Place was dirty, $30 to clean the room after I paid $3000 i had to then pay for cleaning as well, so I bought my own cleaning products and cleaned me own room. Which is fine but wen you pay that much and then get asked to pay extra $30 to clean as well thats ridiculous.

Front gate is a sorry excuse for safety. Other than that this place is a solid average’s place to stay.

Aircon in the apartments needs to be upgraded. It was an old box unit and it did not cool the room down at all. A fan to try and circulate the air would have been nice also. Other than that the room was decent size, clean and the hotel is very convenient to the tram stop only 150 metres.

Contactless check in and out was okay but there was a substance intoxicated guy (about 6ft tall) at past 12 midnight who was screaming on the top of his lungs in the vicinity whilst lying on the floor almost next to our room which were about to open. It was so unsafe that no staff can attend and police was notified multiple times but attended late. We had been awake all night after a late flight and 2hrs drive around Goldcoast including our kid. The call centre was useless for this kinds of emergency and they couldn’t help at all as they’d only say that they will notify the manager on site. We received an sms in the morning from the hotel saying they’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by their intoxicated guest who was locked out from his room the previous night. What would that do for our sleepless and worry overnight?
We were given 1 toilet paper for our 1 week stay and we had to ask for more but was only given 2 more! The room smells like smokes when we arrived and window blinds could not be reeled up and down, this was reported via sms but nothing was done so we had to keep manually opening it when we need to.
The doona was covered by flat sheets and not a doona cover. Small fridge had water leak on the floor when we arrived.
The only good thing for this Inn is the location as it is close to most of the tourist spots but safety is not close to good.

Good location, easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Underground parking was good. Room was okay. The only issue is the tedious process of checking in. We were told by email/text that there was no manned reception. So, car park entry codes and room key lock boxes are issued by text. These are sent pretty late. We arrived after our check in time and although we had the lock box code, the key was not actually in the box - confusing! The signage in the car park was not the best and after managing to find our way out, we were able to locate reception which was manned! Reminded me of competing an 'Escape Room' challenge.

I travel to the GC dozens of times each year and this property must be one of the oldest, tired and sad property I’ve ever stayed in. From the dingy carpark to get your key to the bad fluorescent lighting in the hallways and rooms, sad bathrooms with broken shower screens to the horrible uncomfortable bed this place puts motels to shame. Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere!
