The restaurant relish was great food was nice and fresh.
The restaurant at the top had nice view and atmosphere lots of food as a buffet but quality was average.

We have stayed at the Crowne Gold Coast and Fiji previously. We noticed a marked difference in the variety and services provided for the buffet breakfast and service staff.

The buffet has less variety than other places. One marked difference was that there was no longer a personalised coffee order when you first arrived. There were activities advertised such as cook with a chef, which was advertised and we enquired about. We wreee told we did not need to book just turn up. When we did turn up the front desk had no idea about what was happening it he activity. The manager went about trying to find someone who knew something about it to no avail. Half an hour later we were told that there was a communication breakdown between food and beverage and guest service and that there would no longer be a class conducted.

The coffee machine they have there for guests to use, instead of a barista making drinks, was on the blink constantly.
One of the days we requested some chilli flakes for our breakfast, the server was unable to locate any chilli flakes.

Overall the hotel did not live up to expectations.

Essentially everything was excellent hence 5 star rating. First stay at this hotel and definitely near top fir Gold Coast Allowing for it being in medium high cost bracket. Staff were excellent and well trained , room on 15 th floor was amazing with both ocean and hinterland views.

Staff were great, room was standard, cleaned regularly, we had ocean view only from our balcony. Breakfast was relatively good- lots of variety. The hotel is dated and needs a refresh. The pool was great on days it was hot otherwise the water was too cold to swim in (I don't think it's heated) apart from the spa. Kids loved it. Good transport link - only one stop to Broadbeach and 2 stops to Cavill Ave. We hired a car but didn't really need it. Not a huge amount of things to do in the vicinity directly outside hotel, such as restaurants so you have to hop on the tram but it's a quick stop so wasn't an issue. The restaurant on the top floor is highly recommended with a great view although comes with a price tag - had my bday there and it was lovely.

I would never go back. Dry meat no gravy cold,
Average variety and poor service. The meat should be carved on the spot so it’s not dry and cold. Seafood average quality. If you want to charge at the top end of town you need to provide high quality food and service. It was at pub standard.

Scenic top floor restaurant- we were told by a customer the luncheon buffet is a bounty of seafood. Did I mention the fabulous pool? Plenty of comfortable lounges, seating, shaded areas, drinks & food served poolside too!

I’m giving this hotel 3 stars because the room itself was clean, comfortable, and overall pleasant. However, we did experience a few hiccups that seemed to stem from discrepancies between what was advertised on Wotif and what the hotel had on record.

We had prepaid for the room, parking, and breakfast. Each time we exited the carpark, we were prompted to pay $25, though thankfully staff were able to lift the boom gate when we buzzed for assistance.

At breakfast, our prepaid booking wasn’t showing in the hotel’s system, and we were initially asked to pay again. After explaining that it was included in our Wotif booking, the issue was eventually sorted out.

We also ordered room service, which came with a $5 delivery fee. Unfortunately, the wait time was far too long, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold, making the extra charge feel even more disappointing.

Overall, the stay was comfortable, but clearer coordination between the hotel and Wotif would have made the experience much better.

The shower smelt like vomit. There was no knife and fork.the ice cream from room service was melted and u needed a straw to eat it. My grand children were upset. And on the Saturday we were given an extra hour than normal, and we went back upstairs to check the room to make sure we didn't leave anything they wouldn't let us back in the room to check. I was very pissed off. Snd front desk wasn't to interested, just saying they will speak to them. Not very happy in the end.

The room was lovely, the breakfasts were wonderful. Very surprised that there was no drinks or snacks to purchase. We ordered room service and that was cold.
There was no soap, no shower caps, no sanitary items. Shampoo,and conditioner and body wash were wall mounted in the shower so couldnt use them in the bath. Certainly a little short from the crown experience we were hoping for

I would recommend the hotel put some type of anti slip or change the material around the pool, the decking is extremely slippery when wet and I fell while trying to get out of the pool

The hotel feels quite tired overall. The furniture is old and worn, and the bed was very low and uncomfortable. The shower was frustrating — it’s almost impossible to adjust the hot and cold water properly because the pipes seem outdated.

While the pool area is nice, the lifts are old and slow. The breakfast is decent but overpriced at around $30 per person if you decide to have it on the spot and if it is not included in your rate.

The location is only average — it’s not far from the beach, but there isn’t much to do nearby and the surrounding area is under construction.

On a positive note, the reception staff were friendly and welcoming — especially Sophie and the French trainee, who both provided excellent customer service and made check-in and check-out very pleasant.

Overall, it’s an expensive hotel for the level of service and quality offered. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Staff at the desk not answering calls, could not organize dinner. Concierge too busy not enough people to handle the traffic volume. Guests too noisy past midnight (doors being slammed hard) need to be adjusted so that they don't bang so hard. Apart from the above the views are great the rooms are clean and staff were kind.

Highly recommended the salmon from the hotel restaurant and breakfast !!
Also if you have an electric car charging was complementary I also include the parking in my package was convenient.

The room we were assigned (pool view) is quite noisy, I can’t sleep well at the first night coz the people living next door kept on talking during midnight even I put on my ear plug, I can still hear. On the 3rd day, after our day trip we returned at around 4pm and surprisingly discovered our room was not serviced, maybe because it’s a busy holiday season but I was quite disappointed. The only part I appreciated is that all the reception staff are very nice and helpful.

I only booked because I had to stay in Surfers Paradise at short notice for two days. I was so impressed that I am going back next month for a mini vacation. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Polite and friendly and efficient.
