We had unit 76 which was in very poor condition. The carpets and furniture were very stained. The cooktop was very dirty and so disgusting we didn't use it. The taps had missing bits on them. None of the furniture matched and was very old and in poor condition. Do not stay in unit 76. My family had a renovated room which was lovely. The pool area was lovely.

I paid average $150 per night, it was a short change for what we pay. we stayed at Level 15, Room 81, there was no air cond. in the bedrooms except ceiling fan, 1 standing fan each in both room and a small bedside fan in the master bedroom. There were 2 sofa in the living room, both were dated and old and a mismatch, There were still sands on the long black sofa and when you sit on it , it sunk in. 2 washing machines both were quite dirty filled with thicken detergent powder. Floor were sticky and air vent in both toilet were covered with thick dust and dirt. Very disappointed when the review indicated 4 out of 5 ????

There were baby cockaroaches in the kitchen and cupboards, the toilet was leaking in main bathroom and stank, the carpets were filthy found hair in bed and also beer cap under the bed, and hair in the drain plug. The pool and spa facilities were awesome!

Close to the beach with an amazing view

We had so much fun staying in the apartment - the space and set up made it feel like a home away from home. Excellent price for location and the view was beautiful to come back to after a day out. Secure under cover parking and walking distance to Surfers Paradise.

We will definitely be returning to stay.

Great location

Great location with terrific views from the 15th floor over the river. The service was fine and friendly and the amenities good. The 2 bedroom apartment was nice a big, however, was very very tired and needs some love to ensure the hotel standards are basically met. A paint, definitely new carpet, new kitchen cupboards with an update on a few furniture pieces would do the trick.

Good location (on tram line), lovely canal views and good facilities (pool, tennis court etc). The apartment itself was past its prime (lounges peeling, tiles cracked in bathroom, door to balcony doesn't lock). Apartment clean to be staying in but lacking the extra details like dirty fans. Apartment is quite large which was nice but balcony on the small side. Overall I would stay again depending on price.

The room was not even painted properly, looked like someone had started painting the wall several years ago and never finished, room was in much need of some TLC as felt like it had not been cleaned for a long time and nothing had been maintained. Overpriced for this kind of presentation and would not recommend. The only redeeming feature of the whole property was the pool area except the grass around it needed to be mowed.

Close to surfers but also in a much better position if your looking to head down towards the southern end of the gold cast like Burleigh heads

Property is very old & run down. My room (76) was dirty. Dishwasher was so smelly I did not use it. It states amenities are provided but No soap & no dishwash detergent.

We stayed at the Silverton apartments in Surfers Paradise for 4 nights, we had traveled from the central coast (NSW) and arrived at around 2:30pm (Queensland time as they don't have daylight savings) on arrival you have to call a mobile no. to get service at the reception (but that's ok) lady was very nice and gave me the key to the apartment on the 14th floor (awesome) and that was it..... the room was way better than i had expected after reading some of the reviews online the only thing i could say that wasn't good was it needed a ceiling fan in the second bedroom all other rooms had them but really that's nit picking (thumbs up) beautiful view of the river and surfers (thumbs up) easy access to the trams that go into town (thumbs up) easy parking undercover (thumbs up) .....mother and daughter a big success thank you Silverton apartments

Sliding door in room couldn't open, hard beds & stained linen. Comfy couch (big tv should be in lounge with comfy couch), good cooking & laundry facilities, good pool. Convenient location with access to public transport.

If you're looking for a hotel close to the beach

If you're looking for a hotel close to the beach! well this is your apartment. The condition of the apartment is horrible. I found mould on the outside door, the place smelt horrible even when we aired it out opening all the balcony doors it still smelt everyday and we didn't get use to it also there was no shampoo or conditioner, I was terrified to go into the sauna and gym after this. HOWEVER, the pool was AMAAZING overlooking the lake... WOW just wow. It has a nice balcony and close to the beach and has a tennis court and nice tanning area. This made up for the apartments condition. I would go back for the pool balcony and the distance to the beach. ALSO staff were incredibly nice:) thankyou beautiful staff.

Checked out early - smell and air conditioning

Wanted to check out straight after check in due to strong smell on the floor and the air conditioner not working properly. Spoke to Manager who would not agree to a full refund despite the heat in the room having an adverse affect on my husband's health condition. Checked out after 2 nights only because I couldn't afford to pay for 2 places at the same time and checked in to a much better place around the corner. Only good things about this place were the pool and view of the river.

Old style apartment and very noisy.

The location is on the busy road, that is so noisy and we could not sleep well at all. The carpet is very old and smelly. The basin tap in the master bathroom is too short so we cannot wash our hand just like that. We have to pour the water to the glass first before we can wash our hands. The hot water on the basin does not work either. The only good thing is the pool.

Worst accommodation we've been in Aus

The service was very poor. Rooms were not clean, there was leaking toilet bowl, dirty bed sheet and bed covers which they refuse to change when requested to change.Some furniture like chairs were already broken when we arrived but we got charged after we left. The chair broke while one of the hotel person is inspecting the leaking toilet bowl.We got charged for extra cleaning with false accusations that we left the rooms messy. They refuse to send more photos so we can take further legal action with ACCC and Australian fair trading and media. They only send the photos that we requested them to take as part of us reporting issues. They have false claim of us leaving the rooms dirty but cannot prove. Already late when we found a lot of complains are posted on trip advisory and other websites about this hotel and their service.

Flawed Gem

It is a real shame when hotels, service apartments, and other accommodations don't understand the importance of the internet for travelers. This was a truly elegant apartment, well furnished, and with an excellent balcony and view, but the lack of internet makes it a site I cannot recommend. It does have some quirks. The floors are uneven, there is barely enough hot water, and the furniture is not particularly comfortable, but it does have a washer and dryer, river views from the balcony, and beautiful art work. There is a warning that you must wash the dishes, and take away the trash or you will incur a $50 charge.

Very dirty hotel

We checked into our \"luxury\" hotel room and right from the start it obviously hadnt been cleaned. There was toothpaste on the bathroom walls, black gauges on every wall in every room, plastic cups still left under the bed, rips in all the lounges, chewing gum on the walls, suspicious stains on the blankets/ mattress/ curtains and worst of all mould in the showers. We demanded to be moved to another room which we did only to find our new room in the same state if not worse.We phoned down to reception and they informed us they will have the cleaners go through the room the following morning. Upon our return to the hotel later that afternoon we checked our room and not a single thing had been cleaned, it was still in the same disgusting state it was when we first arrived. We again tried to contact reception but nobody would answer the phone. I would never recommend staying at this hotel to anyone. Worst hotel ever!

Please do not book this apartment by viewing the photos.
We paid to stay at the apartment for 4 nights but left after 2 nights. The apartment had a bad smell and the window did not open in the room.
So it was very uncomfortable to stay in!!!

Very run down. Broken and ripped furniture. Absolutely gob smacked at the condition of room. Cigarette burn marks on bedding and floors. Fake grass outside ripped and look disgusting. Very nice accomodation close to transport.

Impressive views of river and close to basic shopping needs. Transport readily available out front to Casino precinct or Tourist attractions in the opposite direction. Short walk to beach for the more able visitor. In room facilities for independant food preparation. Very comfortable rooms encouraging a relaxed holiday. Inhouse facilities well maintained and clean. Staff are bubbly, happy and extremely helpful.

Very Disappointing

For a 4 star hotel, very disappointing. The apartment facilities were nice (pool etc) but our room was horrible. Only a small double bed with a 6 inch mattress. The sliding door to balcony didnt shut. Furniture dated and stained. No TV in bedroom although there was an outlet. Only 1 sachet of washing detergent plus 1.5 toilet rolls, and no dishwasher detergent for a 4 night booking. Reception closed on sat afternoon.

Large unit in need of TLC

We had a corner unit so had amazing views, which was the best part of the unit. With a little bit of love and maintenance this could be an amazing apartment. Location was good for our needs. The bedrooms were very noisy from road traffic and hot in the morning with the sun - no aircon. the bed extremely hard - not to my liking. Lovely pool, lovely view and wasn't as expensive as some units on the Coast given it was school holidays.

Hotel is great for location, close to the heart of surfers. Living area, kitchen and bedrooms were huge but quality of furniture and cleanliness was a dive. Door handles falling off everydoor, broken furniture throughout, heavily stained lounges and showers were filthy. So cheap so would stay there again only for budget and short stay

Such a dated apartment. The power point was unusable in the ensuite as the wiring was exposed. Both shower screens were broken and difficult to open and close. Bathroom taps were impossible to turn off without dripping.

Lovely riverside accomodation

We recently spent two days at Silverton Apartments and the apartment was perfect for our short stay. It was a little away from everything but still close enough due to the handy location of the tram stop across the road. The view from our room was stunning overlooking the river. It was very beautiful.

The apartment is dated that is undeniable however everything worked and we had a comfortable stay :)

We booked a 2 bedroom unit, with a good view and the room has a huge living and bedroom space. This will be a good choice for family size and also it has a washer & dryer. Best is both bedroom & bathroom is clean but they does not provide housekeeping service. The bed need to be replaced and maybe they can keep away those unused/additional items like pictures able to kept away instead of placing in the wardrobe. Overral, the room is good and will return stay again.

If you want two bedrooms close to facilities then this place ticks those boxes but that is all. The hotel is old and tired. The carpet is filthy, the tiles are chipped, the laminar is cracked, light globes are missing etc. For $150 a night it's not good enough.

Good location but poor condition

Exterior looks good but interior needs lots of improvements. The kitchen utensils are incomplete. The only chair at the balcony was torn. The balcony was badly maintained. The shower head in the toilets were spoilt. Lights in the toilets were blown. Only one bulb is working. The only table lamp in the bedroom was blown. When you open the cupboards, left over stuff such as a tin of paint, picture frames, etc. were found. Happy to leave after 2 nights.

Checked into m room on the fifth floor. Bathroom light wasn't working. Rang reception and was moved to a new room on the third floor.

Discovered later that night one of two bathroom lights wasn't working and the remotes for TV and Foxtel needed replacement batteries.

On the second night I attempted to turn on the heating in the bedroom ..... Remote needed. Replacement batteries. The curtains were also falling off the tracks.

Both. Mirror and a picture were sitting on the floor despite there being designated wall hooks for them to be affixed to.

Whilst the apartment was very spacious and comfortable, a little attention tomdetail would have made this stay perfect.

Room 5. Needs some maintenance work. Road noise is terrible cant block it out as windows in bedrooms dont shut properly. Broken dining chairs. Washing machine balanced on books. No tea towel supplied. Linen didnt fit bed. Broken foot on single bed.
Place needed a good cleaning. Wallpaper in bathroom peeling off wall. Ensuite window a knock to it might off fallen out.

Spacious unit. Relaxing stay. Some maintenance needed - blown light bulbs, broken fan switches and jammed shower door ... most were promptly attended to after reporting, but office closed on Sunday afternoon and Public Holiday following. Sunday night / Monday morning party (to 2am) above us kept us awake. However, these issues were minor; we would readily return.

very happy with our very large 2 bed apartment.

this was a fantastic place to stay. Overall we were very happy. Big apparent and great view of the river and city skyline. The pool and spa was great and used every day we were there.

On the down side the internet didn't work but that's nothing new for hotels with free wifi. The carpets were a little tired but for the price this was fantastic. I will deffenetly return. Thank you.

I have never stayed in a place this bad my whole life.
Everything was dirty, the bed was stained with red god knows what, dust covered the walls and floors, our showers hot water didn't work even after someone looked at it, mugs weren't clean, out ironing board was ripped, there was no fan in the bathroom, there was no air-con so we were given two small floor fans to use which were covered in dust an inch thick, the staff were rude, they didn't greet you, when we asked for more toilet paper, as they only gave us 1 roll for 4 nights, it was such an effort, they asked to bring it to our room, which they didn't do so we had to go back the next morning and deal with another unfriendly staff member, the basement where you park you car stinks as the garbage bins are kept there, right next to the lifts, the beds were extremely hard, and we had to clean out our entire apartment or they were going to charge us an extra $50 for cleaning fees, like we hadn't already spend enough money on the terrible apartment.
I will never stay here again, nor recommend it to anyone.

Tidy and nice. Just 8 mins walk to surfers pradise

We were greeted well. We were ahead of time so the front desk staff agreed to keep our luggages at the cloak room and she was nice enough to move them to our unit upon check-in time. The apartment has most amazing view of Nerang river and Skypoint tower overlooking the city. The rooms and everything else was tidy and neat. Kitchen was a bit of disappointment but given that you may not use it for most if the stay, it's a thumbs-up from my side.

An older property that could do with a \"spruce up\" My apt, was clean furniture in good condition, not much dust on ledges. All the furniture was in a good condition for a multi rented property. AC actually worked and was silent.
I only discovered that the pool was under renovation after I had accepted the conditions and had paid.
That week-end however the Gold coast had changed to Cold coast. I would use this property again.

Had 2 apts.17 and 18. No 18 was well appointed and fine. (Electric kettle did not work and BR sinks slow to empty. )
No 17 was \"tired\" and in need of serious upgrade. Furniture shabby, bathroom old with tiles loose around the bath. Curtain in LR not hung properly and looking shabby. Bed bouncy but clean but the blanket was last century. Radio did not work. TV was via Foxtel and the default position a blank screen. NO instructions.
Crockery unimpressive. Stains on the carpet. A backpacker may have approved but for the money, not worth it. As some of these units are investments, it depends on the owner as to refurb so conditions obviously vary accordingly as in our case of 2 very different facilities

Deffinetly not a 4 star like it's advertised. Pool wasn't available, couldn't access gym. Staff (apparently) parked in our allocated spot. Ceiling fan wasn't working and mis leading amenities card.

A memorable experience

Loved the location. The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. It felt very much like a home away from home.
We were close to amenities but far enough away for peace and quiet.

Great location, close to beach.

Easy to check in after-hours. Great views from the apartment room. Lovely sitting on balcony and watching the sky change colors over the ocean.

Good place to stay

Good value for money, close to the beach but a bit of a distance from the nice restaurants. Being just off the main road makes it easy to drive away from Surfers easily.

Not a fussy person but still disappointed.

I had read some bad reviews about Silverton before I booked but because we are not fussy, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. First up, the view is spectacular! 5/5! Unfortunately though, the condition of the unit was very run down. This honestly wouldn't have bothered me though if they made up for it by having a clean shower, or more than 1 teaspoon in the drawer, or even a dishcloth and teatowel, but unfortunately a lot of the basics were missing. All in all, we did enjoy our stay but we really had to choose to ignore the cupboards falling off their hinges and the window keeping us awake at night due to the glass moving in the panes with the wind etc. If you're not fussy and you plan on being out the majority of the time, then I'd recommend this place purely for the view.

Unfortunately, below our expectations.

The layout of the apartment was ok but the furniture and furnishings were very old, uncomfortable and worn down. My son could feel the wires in the bed he slept on, carpets very stained and old, broken dining room chairs, paint peeling off walls, dirty sunken couch- not an environment you could relax in. Pool area had broken tiles around it- not safe for kids. Overall, we won't be staying there again.

Affordable apartment

Three people staying there. Only one bed. Had to ask for another bed to be brought up. Room stank off curry. No toilet paper or towels supplied on arrival. Had to ask for them. Heated pool not heated. Informed after my daughter received a piece of rusty metal in her toe from the spa that it was being refurbished the next week.

Clean, basic accommodation

Stayed for two nights with hubby and three children in 2 bedroom apartment. Clean has all basic needs. Some things need a handyman, and shower/ bath small. Great skyline view of surfers off balcony. Quiet location as about 15 min walk into town.

It was nice to get away for the weekend wish it ways longer😓 the hotel was lovely will go back in the summer only thing that was bad was the noise if you get the front units other then that it was beautiful

Ask for specific floor if your a family

Wasn't happy to be on the first floor directly on Gold Coast highway!
It was tooooo noisy and my two toddlers found it hard to stay asleep!
To change rooms it would of cost an extra $60 so not fair considering you state that you are after a room with beds for kids and there ages and no consideration was taken so won't be staying there again!
If your not fussed about the constant noise then it's a nice cheap place to stay.

This was a good spot for us to stay whilst attending the Broadbeach blues fest. Would recommend as it's a good position!
