Surfers Aquarius is a forty storey holiday complex situated on the Beach at Surfers Paradise in South East Queensland. Located halfway between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, it is within walking distance to Jupiters Casino, the Gold Coast Convention Centre, and Pacific Fair.
The very spacious self contained apartments have fully equipped kitchens including dishwasher and microwave, full laundry facilities, security intercom, direct dial telephone and command superb views of the Pacific Ocean and Gold Coast Hinterland. Set amid two acres of lush tropical gardens are, 2 floodlit tennis courts, fully equipped gymnasium, heated swimming pool, wading pool, play area for children and numerous BBQ facilities.
The complex also provides some indoor activities, heated pool, 2 spas, saunas, and squash court. Reception and security operates 24 hours for arrivals and departures.
Undercover security parking with 24 hour surveillance cameras throughout the complex.
With a stay at Surfers Aquarius in Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise), you'll be a 4-minute walk from Broadbeach Beach and 14 minutes by foot from Surfers Paradise Beach. This beach aparthotel is 1.4 mi (2.3 km) from The Star Gold Coast and 12.2 mi (19.7 km) from Warner Bros.

The facilities are not maintained. We booked a two bedroom unit and none of the three air conditioners worked. The ceiling fan and light in the main bedroom also did not work. The after hours help from Aquarius was disgusting, they lied and said a technician would attended to fix it, we waited over 2 hours and no technician ever arrived. We asked multiple times to transfer to a different room and no one would help us. We complained when checking out to the manager and she was rude and not interested in helping us, saying they do not guarantee working fans or air conditioning in the apartments. The manager also told us housekeeping had reported the issue before we had checked in so they are fully aware they are leasing properties without working fans / air conditioning. I would not recommend. There are plenty of apartments for the same price that have basic amenities like cooling available.

Stunning panoramic ocean view! Huge living room and very comfy. Floor to ceiling windows for great views from living area and both bedrooms. Property exactly as described. Pool, spa and steam room is nice. Easy access to the footpath along the beach. Not a lot of food/dining options within a couple blocks but walkable to Glink that can take you easily to Broadbeach with tons of dining or to Surfer Paradise with dining and shopping. We stay on Gold Coast alot and this is our FAVOURITE room due to the outstanding true beachfront property. If stellar ocean view with huge windows and doors that open so you can hear the ocean waves appeals to you, then this is your room.

Awesome stay at Surfers Aquarius for 2 weeks. We were on the 20th floor, with amazing views of the water and city - we enjoyed watching the sunset on the balcony each night. Great location in between Surfers and Broadbeach. The receptionist was super lovely and helpful at every interaction. Secure parking underground meant car was safe. Everyone else staying/living at the apartments were friendly as well, leaving a very good overall experience. Kids loved bouncing between all the pool options, particularly the warmer indoor pools. Highly recommend, we’ll be back!

Surfers Aquarius is in a fabulous location. It's right on the beach for a quick swim and it has pleasant gardens for a picnic lunch or bbq. The indoor pool, sauna and steam bath are also great features.
The rooms are modern-styled with a large fridge and food preparation space. The lounge and dining rooms areas are very large compared to other holiday apartments, which makes it very spacious.
There are cafes, fast food and a classy Persian restaurant within short to medium walking distances and its only a short drive from Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

I didn’t like the constant noise of jackhammering due to renovations being carried out on upper floors. When we approached management the response was that there was notification of possible noise issues in their confirmation email. It was very disruptive and annoying and to think you can mitigate this solely because you mentioned it in an email is very disappointing.

We have stayed at the Surfers Aquarius many times over the years, but on this occasion were disappointed in the condition of our “superior “ apartment. The kitchen was poorly appointed with rusty cutlery, badly damaged frying pans and inadequate glass ware. The carpet in the lounge is frayed. The main bathroom bathtub is peeling and the basin cracked. If this is a superior apartment, I hate to think what the standard apartments look like

The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the view was incredible - spotted whales from the balcony. Enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, and pool - along with easy access to the beach. A 20 minute walk up to Surfers Paradise but enjoyed the less crowded beach right out front. Good cafes and restaurants nearby. Wonderful place to stay - hope to be back.

Wonderful view with brilliant access to the beach. It was excellent being able to step out the gate onto the beach. Great indoor and outdoor pools and spa. The apartment layout was spacious. The cleanliness needed much attention. The high touch areas were grubby (light switches, remotes, bins, appliances, and parts of the kitchen), I highly recommend washing the blankets in the bedrooms cupboard, they were stained! Lots of dust! The throw cushions were filthy. The lounge is huge and the day bed is a welcome addition to relish in the spectacular view.
The apartment is in a good location, so close to Broadbeach restaurants and shops. As long as you take some antibacterial wipes and glen 20 to do a quick clean as you arrive, the view and location are worth it.

Very disappointed at the poor quality unit we were allocated for the Easter long weekend. The couch literally held together with random blocks of wood, never sat on anything so uncomfortable ever and it also had a greasy feeling. Just about each of the window shutters we’re broken meaning couldn’t close them up properly letting street light in during nighttime, most unhelpful with a baby. Thick layers of dust on picture frames and skirts, main shower not properly cleaned, mattresses disturbingly yellow stained, lights randomly turned on and off at night so had to turn off aircon in 2nd room to not wake the baby in the master but there was no fan remote for the 2nd room so had to sacrifice the comfort of our eldest child due to the faulty electrical wiring. Aircon in lounge room had a annoying loud dripping sound. Onsite facilities like the pools etc ok but the room really made it an unpleasant time considering the costs per night - would not recommend

The property is conveniently located between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, so you can move around easily. Also, direct access to the beach and close to the tram station if needed. The apartment was great, with amazing views and the amenities in the property were great as well (barbeque, pool, jacuzzi and saunas...). I'd recommend to stay in this place while in Gold Coast.

This is a long established high rise on a large block of land and the apartment could do with a makeover but it's right on the beach and provides everything you need. The cleaning wasn't stellar and there were a few fittings broken or failing but nothing which mattered very much. Beds are okay but not plushland either, kitchen has everything you need. We had a superior apartment facing north so we got sea and hinterland views, gets better sun than the oceanside units but view not as expansive. There were night road works going on and that pierced the night but that wasn't the fault of the establishment.

They firstly got our room wrong and then had to ask reception to move us to a new room which she did, however both receptionist were not great, quite serious and impolite, as if you were inconveniencing them. The 2nd room that was given was excellent, the amenities and products were top notch and best quality. The facilities were really great to use, worth staying by at least 3 nights to make us of it all. All clean and readily available with private time to use thr spa, pool and sauna alone. Security is really strong, felt like the president lived there. Haha..

Our room was on the 31st floor facing the ocean. Great views. Indoor and outdoor pools were great, also 2 spa pools. When the beach got to hot or windy you can swim in the pools. Car parking underground was good, kept car cool. Close to everything in Surfers, short walk. Will stay again.

Superior Room was far from Superior
We booked a Superior Room based on the photos on Hotels.com website but when we checked in the room looked like a Standard Apartment (not renovated bathrooms or kitchen) and when we approached management she appeared abrupt and unsympathetic. She said that our room was a Superior Room because it had aircon and when I showed her the photos online she said the photos were incorrect. I couldn’t use the ensuite which looked over 30 yrs old because of the stench of stale cigarettes smoke. I just closed the door and used the other bathroom. One of the single beds was also very uncomfortable so my kids ended up sharing a bed. View was great and facilities were good but I wouldn’t stay there again. The photos online should be changed to accurately show what you will be getting.

Recently stayed in one of the deluxe rooms with ocean view apartments. Apartment was beautiful and appeared to havve been very recently renovated (as bed bases still had tags on them etc.). Room decor was lovely & clean and the kitchen & bathrooms had all all equipment you would need. Apartment size was also generous with plenty of storage. All in all it was a great base to explore the Gold Coast.

Also, I called reception before booking and emailed my details and they didn’t call me back even though they promised call back. I emailed twice requesting beach front apartment but when we arrived at the hotel- we got 3C which had little beach view and probably their worst apartment. That was disappointing. I did like the location of the hotel. I think I would have been better off booking at broad beach or Miami Beach with better quality apartment. Paid $500 extra for low quality apartment.

I'm afraid i have no good words for this place, the unit was in terrible disrepair, it wasn't clean, there were STILL Christmas decorations on the floor rug, dust was everywhere, the shower class doors were inoperable, it smelled bad, and to make matters worse, our dedicated undercover parking spot was stolen twice, leaving us to park outside in the rain!

The property add and photos are VERY misleading. Thought we rented a sea view unit but ended up overlooking a carpark / hinterland with a side glimpse of the sea from the side of the unit.
