This stay would have to be my worst ever.
I will list the problems.
Lift didn't work.
The room was dirty with stains on the curtains, the chairs, the kitchen floor.
Holes in the curtains.
Skuff marks & paint off the door edges, the walls, the cupboards.
Damaged lino floor (holes).
Damaged bench top.
The air con in the main room was unable to cool the bedroom due to the ventilation system sucking out the cool air from the unit, so bedroom was very hot.
No tea, coffee, milk or sugar to make a cup upon arrival.
No jug for drinking water to place in the fridge.
Information & Directory folder was filthy.
I felt the overall security was lacking on what is available at most hotels.
It was extremely noisy from all of the traffic.
Unit did not match photographs when booking.
A couple of good points.
Staff was helpful upon checking in through phone conversation due to my late arrival.
Main bed was comfortable.
The washing machine & Dryer were reasonably new looking, so hopefully they worked! I did not use them.
Microwave, fridge room fan worked ok.
Value for money 1 out of 10
My overall score is 2 out of 10.
I would never stay here again.

Winter stay review

The gentleman that sign me in was lovely, but after that it went down hill. The town house we were given was not the one that was advertised or that I booked. When entering the unit we were over come by a smell in the unit like it hadn’t been opened up or aired for quite a while. Had to purchase a scented candle to over power the smell. Ceiling fan light in dining area constantly flickered and the fan didn’t work, There were no exhaust fans in either of the bathrooms so was unable to use the vanity mirror after showing. Shower in main bedroom leaked water all over the floor so floor mat was saturated when getting out of the shower. Was unable to use bath in main bathroom as no way to fill it unless you used the shower. And the smoke alarm had been removed from here as well. Middle of winter and only very thin blankets were on the beds with only 1 spare blanket but 4 beds. We also had no access to the free internet as the membership had expired. The tiled floors were very slippery

The apartment definitely asks for some uplift, but it was reasonably priced, overall comfortable, not smelly, with good views and in the heart of Surfers Paradise.
Facilities include underground parking, decent swimming pool, SPA and sauna + outdoor BBQ area.
It would benefit a lot to have more cleaning supplies - dishwashing soap, spounges, scourer, paper towels, extra rubbish bags and toilet paper. On arrival found a massive puddle under the fridge which I had to wipe with toilet paper as nothing else was available, which we ran out of as a result. Since it was an easter - no luck buying those supplies. Those things are not expensive, but can be quite frustrating to find yourself in such a situation.

Kitchen floor not clean; only 2 non-matching wine glasses (one tiny, one larger); no champagne glasses; Tea/Coffee containers empty; half a roll of toilet paper (we ran out and none to be found, noone in reception on weekend/after hours); coffee table on veranda had no top on it (useless and trashy looking); supplied shampoo but no conditioner (useless); sliding glass door to veranda very hard to open/close; no aircon in bedroom, was hard to get cool air to come in from lounge, even with the fans on; someones empty disposable water bottle under the bed, along with lots of dust and dirt; a battery and a bunch of pingpong balls left in tray on shelf in kitchen; couldn't find how to connect to wifi (no wifi code displayed anywhere and couldn't work out how to contact anyone for assistance as it was 5.30pm - noone in reception). Was a convenient location for what we needed, but the unit was very run down and was not stocked with basic items - toilet paper is a very basic item, tea/coffee etc is pretty basic also. Not impressed for the price. Didn't seem like much care had been taken to make guests comfortable and help them enjoy their stay.

We recently stayed here for the weekend, upon arrival we noticed the property was quite dirty including rubbish from the previous guest, a dirty sock behind the bedroom door (again likely from a previous guest), the second bedroom doona cover had a large brown stain right in the middle and the master bedroom doona also had brown stains on the underside. The shower leaked so the ensuite was constantly wet. The location of the property is right next to the main road, it was extremely loud particularly because we were on the first floor. The apartment is advertised as ‘partial ocean views’ we saw nothing but road and car park, even when attempting to locate any sign of an ocean view. Most the windows wouldn’t open and the main area only has one half blind which can not be brought up and has to stay down. Overall a lot of improvements to be made and I believe you would be able to find nicer accommodation in the area for a similar price (at least one that is clean!)

Beautiful views from our room. Towels and beds were clean. Washing machine and dryer operated well. The apartment was spacious and tidy.

Some improvements could be an upgrade of the toaster and kettle. We didnt use the toaster as it looked very worn out and unsafe. The pipes are bouncing in the walls from the laundry, you need to turn off the washing tap to stop the noise - would definitely bother some people if they dont know where it's coming from. The toilets were weak to flush even just toilet paper, have to flush a few times. To us, these were minor. I would still stay here again.

Townhouse 69 was roomy, in a good location and surprisingly quiet given it was on the God Coast Highway. Property is in need of renovation/repair. Balcony doors don’t lock, wall joints cracked and flaking. Tiling in bathrooms need re grouting as looks dirty, and the floor of the second bathroom upstairs slopes towards the door which, combined with ineffective shower over bathtub screening, caused a lot flooding into the corridor after only 1 shower.

Great location ,great unit ,great staff and management but the unit walls dirty need cleaning or repainting ,curtains have mold on them ,kettle didn’t work cutting board needs to go in the bin no washing liquid or cloths to wash and wipe dishes when a note says there will be a cleaning fee of $25 if they were not washed we went and brought ourself.

Absolutely disgusting, tried for 2 days to get the hotel to clean the room, we had poo in the toilet, urine in the crevices of the toilet, pubic hair on and around the toilet, sand in the shower, oven wasn't cleaned, floors hadnt been vacummed, no covid signage or sanitiser, manager didnt care so we left and went to another motel. It was in a perfect spot. Close to everything we needed. Nice big apartment for my husband in a wheelchair. Needs a faster speed ceiling fan in all rooms or aircon as it gets hot in there. Staff were amazing. Gave us 3 undercover car spaces so no one had to park on the street. Very quiet which is great.

They didt tell any surcharge when we checkin, and after check out they charge it from deposit, and I have not been told what I get charge only when I contact the hotel. Com agent, the hotel didt send any invoice for the surcharge after a month I checked out, and I keep contact with them with no result

Informed the reception staff that telephone wasn't working and had to ask for Wifi logon, yet they were happy to take a deposit from me and would charge me if I didn't register in.

Loved the size and layout of our large 2 bedroom townhouse. It was roomy and comfortable, the location was an easy walk to beach or central Surfers and carpark was secure. The apartment needed a few lightbulbs, some more glassware and the dishwasher didn't work, but laundry was top notch. There was also some issues with the spa while we were there,it worked intermittently. Overall, the place was really good and we would use it again.

I liked the proximity to the centre of Surfers Paradise, shopping etc.. the property was Clean and tidy, equipped with all the necessities needed to make our stay comfortable. There was only one air con in the loungeroom and no air con in the bedrooms but the ceiling fan in the main bedroom was enough for a good sleep. The second bedroom had a standing fan. Having the convenience of 2 bathrooms was great as our daughter came with us. Just a minor setback, we requested an ironing board and it was never provided. Inconveniently, we were unable to fit any milk bottle or soft drinks upright in the fridge. The Mattress in main bedroom a little too soft for me. Staff was courteous and very welcoming. We were allowed to check in at 12pm instead of 2pm and I thank the gentleman at reception for that. I would recommend Anacapri in a heart beat and we will certainly return as soon I we can. Thank you very much.

We stayed here over the Aus day long weekend. The room (3 bed room 51)had been renovated to look nice but a few things were missed and needed repair. We mentioned a few issues to reception during our stay and I must say they were very quick to get these resolved. Great customer service. Would recommend a stay here at a good price.

Although property was clean it was somewhat deteriorated and very dated. New curtains, paint, pictures, furniture and a new bathroom are needed. The washing machine, dryer, microwave and oven were in excellent condition.
More than 1 roll of toilet paper would be required per bathroom for this length of stay.
Air condition unit poorly positioned facing directly to a wall.
The complex has potential and for a small outlay this property could be easily improved.

The property is in a stage of neglected. Renovation needed for the kitchen, the bathroom, the toilet. The vented duct in the bathroom was not working, it was covered and blocked in dust. The apartment has a few triping hazard. There was no air conditioner in the bedroom.

Being an apartment it should have basics like toaster, kettle, it had nothing as we had to buy our own.
Plus every day there was some one else in the car park we were allocated and we had to go round and round the block to find car park.
They had no control plus no one to complain to at nite about parking.
Aircon leaked all over in the master bedroom and they came at 8 in the morning to fix it instead of a day before in the afternoon as that was the time given.
Very very unconvinent.

The room was not clean. The beds are like rocks. We had 3 babies under 8 months old, tried to check in at 1.45 pm and they would not let us. It was 35 degrees. Had to sit in the heat and wait. Lounges were stained,smelt of urine and disgusting. No air con in 2 bedrooms. I would not recommend this place at all. Very very overpriced for what it is

Apart from being 3 bed rooms, the apartment was nothing like the picture, we had falling apart queen bed+ broken furniture+ broken railing screen door to the balcony and 2 rolls of toilet paper if finished are sold for 1 dollar each. By the way, we arrived after 5,and someone else took our key to the apartment, while management ask us to move out a day earlier with offer to return our money because they over sold the room. I end up stay in opposit apartment Antique, newer, better, and not much more in price. Consider before u book!

No email sent about how to get in after hours. Shower was mouldy and bathroom was non maintained, and we weren't even samplied with a small shampoo. Half ta light bulbs blown and lounge lamp plug was faulty. There were hairs in ta bed,and don't think ta sheets were changed between people staying. Both deck chairs were broken. No milk supplied for arrival and faulty plug by bench, also dishwasher didn't work. Fan above bed had very thick dust build up, and lounge heat pump dangerously full of dust so couldn't use it. Over all the unit we were placed in was a complete disappointment. Ta only thing we enjoyed about our stay was ta polite reception staff and ta heated pool/spa

We were a family of seven my brother came with his two young kids and I had my three teenage girls we stayed in a three bedroom unit on level 13 for nine nights. It was better than we thought after reading the reviews, I have stayed at many places on the Gold Coast and this was not as modern as others and some of the furniture and blinds needed a good clean. Otherwise everything else was ok the pool was good the kids had fun and most of all the location was really good. The beach was walking distance where we swim within the flags, safety as the waves were huge. Tram stop close by which was handy and the main area in Surfers Cavil Ave was only a ten minute walk.
We had beautiful river views, for the price we paid we were happy with this place and especially being school holidays a lot of the other hotels were expensive.
The hotel staff were good they just did what they needed to do and basically left us alone which we liked.
Would stay here again.

The stay was fantastic. Everything was close to all transportation and tourist attraction and within walking distance. The pool and spa was great for relaxing. The apartment itself was clean. Extra bonus that there were Foxtel. We did need to buy some of basic household necessities but that was okay. Overall, great stay!

Disappointing room condition

Whilst the location is good - walking distance to the beach, walking distance into Surfers Paradise mall - the condition of the room we had wasn't great.
Didn't feel clean from the moment we walked in the door, the disappointment continued. Dining room chairs need replacing - foam exposed due to ripped upholstery. Shower had mould , towels had dirty marks. We used our own towels and picnic set.
The boys wanted to use the tennis court on the weekend, but it was locked up and reception was closed. The pool was good.

Best feature was heated pool

Heated pool and spa was great especially so close to the kids pool.
We stayed in one of the townhouses and location to pool was fantastic for the kids.
Our room was very dated, ripped couch, kitchen blinds didn't fit window so people walking past could see in. The beds were clean and comfy.

We were staying next to people who had at least 30 people there every night, partying all night, banging on the walls. They actually pulled chairs over in front of our lounge room area and partied there and urinated in our doorway, coming in under the door.

Our almost 1 year old daughter pulled on an electrical socket where you plug things into and the whole thing came off the wall exposing the wires, luckily my husband was sitting there and seen it happen so we moved a couch in front of it until we vacated the next morning.

Location to surfers and beach were great.

We paid over $500 for 2 nights, next time I'd spend the extra money and stay somewhere more modern. Definitely will not be staying here again.

Needs a revamp

This hotel is on a busy intersection unfortunately for us our room faced the street, there was traffic noise all night. Our room was tired and well worn and in need of a redecorate. The plumbing made a horrendous noise when someone was having a shower.

Stay was aok EXCEPT for the 6.15 am wake up call EVERY morning by the skip bins full of bottles emptied daily - sound was so loud it sounded like was being emptied in my bedroom - not pleasant especially when you are in holidays and would appreciate a sleep in

Very basic. Do not expect anything flash!

I booked here coz the website said the hotel had Wifi to my surprise we only had 1gig for 3 days!!! Then you had to pay extra for more data!

Bit expensive for what you get! Should be paying $80 to $100 max for this room if you compare to other hotels around Surfers.

Other than that a very spacious apartments with full kitchen use, double bed in bedroom 1 and a double and single in the bedroom 2.
2 bathrooms which was good for the family.
Foxtel in main living room with TVs in both rooms.

2 members in our family got itchy nites on the first night but cleared up.

Pool was heated all good.

Town houses a shocker. Left after 2 days of 10. Torn sofa, dirty blankets, broken out dated furniture. Staff lovely. Like a 1/2 way house & not holiday rental. Privately owned. Staff helped us move elsewhere & were lovely. Honestly just don't stay here.

My mother collapsed and was rushed to hospital on morning of our intended holiday. They hotel would not reimburse us for any money due to the short notice. Next time I'll tell my mom to let me know 24-48 hrs before she's going to collapse and be rushed to hospital. Do not recommend apparently are not human.

Close to place,

We checked in they were rude,, we went up to our room, the floors where not fully clean. We had the basics we asked for a toaster and was told we would have to buy one.

Great location. Beautifully heated pool and spa with great bbq facilities. Apartment was a good size and fully equipped.
Ceiling did have lots of mildew and curtains needed a good wash.

The apartment was cheap, clean and relatively close to Cavill Ave. 2 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were good although the beds were not that comfortable. The main complaint is how noisy it was. We were not in the high rise part of the apartment complex but it was like a window was open permanently. There was constant loud traffic noise and the garbage trucks came every morning between 5am and 6am to empty bins for the whole area. The pool area was OK although the spa was disappointing and the gym was dreadful. OK to keep costs down.

Underwhelming

On arrival, there was no one at reception, no one answering phone, no one to answer outside phone, waited for more than 15 minutes before we rang the out of hours number and waited on-line for another 10 minutes before she tracked down the manager. This was all at check-in which took over half an hour and we were the only ones at the desk. The room was on the second floor, facing the traffic, the noise carried on all night, hard to sleep. The bathroom in dire need of a good dose of bleach to remove mould stains. The walls were cracked the furniture in the lounge was grubby and dirty - uncomfortable to sit in such grime. The coffee table was chipped and ring stained. The whole place was in need of a facelift. The ironing board cover was blackened and feared if the iron ran water we'd have brown marks all over our clothing, It was disappointing as on the internet, it looked okay.

This hotel is in an awesome location for all Surfers Paradise attractions with a 5 min walk to Cavil mall and 3 min to the beach. Found the staff friendly. The apartment like most older ones on the Gold Coast is tired and could do with an upgrade. Bed was not the most comfortable as well as the sinking lounge suite. The dishwasher did not work and found rooms not to be as clean as as the more expensive places. The hotel does not have Foxtel as advertised. On a positive they gave me a 2 bedroom apartment on a higher lever with one bedroom locked as I only booked a 1 bedroom apartment and they are only available on lower floors. Grounds and pool were in a very well kept condition. Great secure car parking under ground.

one out of two lift wasn't working during our stay and both didn't work at all for one night and had to use stairs all the way to our floor. we booked for a room with bath tub but didn't come with one. all the facility is pretty much dated.

Hard to leave a good review

The building is old and needs to be either updated or demolished.
The reception was underwhelming to say the least. I was given my room key asked for my license and signed the paperwork and told my room was in the which floor and too park in a car space. No directions nothing. Nothing about the facilities
The unit was actually quite big. Having two bathrooms and a walk in wardrobe was nice.The kitchen utensils were more than adequate.
There were numerous holes in the wall, the laundry was missing a door, none of the kitchen drawers opened properly, the dishwasher top drawer didn't slide, the dishwasher didn't work, the 2nd bathroom shower dropped and the master bed mattress was horrible I was sleeping on springs.
The elevator broke twice whilst I was there. It sounds like it is about to collapse any second.
The pool is heated .... just what we wanted in a heatwave.
I asked to have the shower and dishwasher fixed. a half hearted attempt was made.
You are right beside the Gold Coast highway so lots of traffic noise. I had to sleep with the Windows open and was woken most mornings to the sound of the rubbish truck emptying the bins.
It was cheap and handy to surfers were the only good things.

The location of the apartment is perfect because you can walk to the beach and walk to the main surfers paradise with no problem.
